I am hodling few coins in an exchange and do some trading. Cut losses were fine with me 'coz I'm a bit scared of high loss, I am just playing in a safety mode.

But, while many are happy with the eth's continuously pumping and traders are happy to see the market's optimistic view, I am still here waiting for the Eth to drops heavily like at least $30. So, I can buy some and will experience the fruits of eth's benefits as well.  8) Is it possible now, to reached down it's value like that? Like hello? I've been waiting for a couple of months. Lol

Am I the only one here, in the contrary of patiently waiting for eth to dump like hell?

i would like to know,what is the reason and why you set your target that low ?
from my opinion right now it's totally impossible for ETH to goes down that low if nothing happens with it.
it will goes that lower if something major happens with it.for example,the network is dying or broken or hacking or something like that.
but right now we hear nothing from them and everything is good,so i assume you won't reach your target ever because it's out of track.
on the other hand,when you're waiting it patiently the price is going up like hell.
in the end you will lose those opportunity to get a profit from those movement.

I agree with DaMut, I think it is totally impossible even if ethereum network would be hacked or broke down.
These large drops possible with ICO or other altcoins, but not top3 coins...

In my opinion that impossible, because in down trend popular crypto price usually only possible going down maximum 80%, more over ETH has strong fundamental and big community who support it. That target price too low and not possible, you have to learn more technical analysis to predict support area of ETH. And now price of ETH just started up trend and wil to go to $ 1300 again, even possible will surpass that price.

I, once saw it goes down around $50 dollars way back then and I regret I didn't buy some of it, that time. I guess, you're right.  Maybe it is impossible now to reach that as my target is extremely low. How silly am I to think that history repeats itself. LoI, I may just accept the fact that the price of it now is  around $650 so I should seriously  increase my target price for me to at least invest a few of them.

With regulation and the imminent decrease of supply there is only one way for eth to go and that is up. If you badly need to make money perhaps invest in other potential platform coins. It might be a long wait for Ethereum to reach $30

Extremely unlikely that ETH will ever go back to $30 unless the entire network was compromised in some way. If you want to buy in you need to set a realistic buy-in price or you will be stuck waiting forever. Even during the recent dips ETH has never gone below $200.

If the Asiks for the Ether are launched, millions of farms at the GPU will become unprofitable.
This can affect the price.
But I do not think that whales will let this coin fall to zero.

I dont think it will ever come that low, even after turning to POS, ETH will have a good value mainly because of all the tokens present on its platform.

maybe you should raise your target because the chance for that happen are very small, even. I think $30 is impossible because as we know Ethereum has become Top 2 CryptoCurrency and Ethereum platform is the most widely used platform for ICO project, So I think the best way is raise your target

Eth has established its market right now, and it has good community and support especially in most new ICO’s. Your set target is way out of the reality. Maybe your target is 300$ instead of 30$? Because the price correction of ETH if im not mistaken it is around 350$+ something like that, so if ETH breaks that price correction “maybe” it will hit your target. However it is very impossible to happen.

I think yes, you are the only person who is waiting for that specific dump. people are waiting for dumps but a smaller dump in ETH to jump on board like they are mad so it won't go that low yet. but I do believe that ETH will eventually stop getting pumped and will be dumped majorly and will go below $100 but by that time it won't be a good investment anymore because it will not stay around much longer since it is a terrible project anyways.

Why you think that a coin like Ethereum will worth $30 in the future? That what I know is the Ether price will be much higher than it is right now in the future, when the max supply will be limited.

Your price target is way unrealistic. The current price of ethereum is $660k i think it is very impossible to reach your price target unless it breaks the price correction in last years price hike, if this happens it will go down deep and possibly hit your 30$ price target and also if the ethereum is comprimised or the platform itself is broke it will crash down its price. But its impossible to happen mate. Just be realistic in your target.

Maybe you need some information or re-understanding because eth price is not possible at $ 30, I'm sure you will be old if the price ethe that much, if eth price is $ 30 I think crypto fall already happened, the crypto market demand is increasing and user trust too, so if the price of eth $ 30 then demand decreases and crypto will disappear.

because the majority people who asked me this question before never changed their mind until ETH made its crazy move.

Everything is possible in crypto world but my opinion it is not possible ETH goes down around 30$

I think the price you expect is fairly unrealistic,and time when ETH is worth only 30$ is far behind us.You may have noticed that when BTC price is going down usually drag all coins in that direction,so to have 30$ per ETH price of 1 BTC should be very low.Possibility for such a thing always exists,but I think it is less than 5%-although some big negative event like MtGox in past would crush the whole crypto market and maybe then you could buy some cheap coins.

I have another advice for you,try to find some other cheap coin which you think to have the potential to be successful,and invest some money in that project.

I think you will have to wait a long time to see that happen again. It is a lot of money in ethereum right now and you just can not drop price fast beacuse there is a lot of players involved to control the price of ethereum.

No, I think it is not possible, at least in the nearest future. Ethereum is very valuable crypto currency, many experts consider it as the second digital currency after Bitcoin, and first altcoin. Its price is actually increasing and its nowadays around 700$ and it will reach highest levels soon, for sure.

I think you over low the price that you want to buy etherium, at the currency price of etherium it looks like imposible to happen the etherium will goes down again to that price. We all know that etherium is the second biggest crypto currency in the market and if the price goes down to that 30$ is imposible.

This is absolutely impossible, ETH prices are currently high growth. They can pass $ 1000 at the end of the year. There is no reason why ETH drops below $ 30. The market will probably no longer invest in Crypto.

That would be impossible to happen now, I think it will only happen if all of the country would ban crypto currencies, but it is impossible for them to do that now since everybody is now starting to adapt crypto currencies.

At the first glance, I thought that this thread is pretty old when you are talking about ETH's price to come down to $30. Then I realized that you've posted in today only. No it wont happen anymore so remove your buy order and move it to a higher price around 300 to 400$ maybe but if you still want to that price it takes forever to fill in  and you wont have etherium in you wallet. We are all hoping that etherium will goes down too but at that price is way too low and looks imposible to happen.

$30 is too much! If ETH drops even to $200 people will become crazy to buy it from that dip. ETH might fall to $300 but not lower than that.  Its like saying "I will am afraid of high loss, I will wait Bitcoin to reach $500 so I can buy". Bitcoin will never dump to $500 again.

I don't think ethereum will go down to $30. Ethereum is one of the best altcoin in the market. And there are so many people that are buying and using it. So for me it will never comeback at $30 again.

At this rate, it is imposible for eth to drop that low. Why? Because of it's usage and investors always looking for eth as the second most used crypto right now. But what we have to put in mind is that cryptocurrencies are volatile, that's why hoping for eth to drop is all up to a person whether or not he believe on it's volatility factor.

You wish to say op is waiting in vain for eth to drop heavily. It's better for him to buy for 30 dollars when ever he can at this prices now, in the future eth price can just be higher.
Eth is potential for the future along with some other coins, I think mid term trading is good to practice with eth, price will have fluctuations like until now and with good trades you can grow your amount in eth.
Waiting heavily drop is sometimes bad decisions if prices continue to rise and make some new bottom, higher then then the last time, that you fill regret for good opportunity, don't drive yourself in that situation. Think about it twice, everyone have a right to do what ever they thinks its best for them, but time will tell who was right and who made better trades.

I think you are some years to late to get ETH for 30 $. And even if this happens, its more likely that the whole crypto market is collapsing or near it´s death.

I dont think this is how you should be trading.  in my opinion, Ether will never hit $30 again unless there is something fundamentally wrong with the technology that renders it useless which in that case you wouldnt wanna buy it at any price.  What you should do, is you should accept the current prices and trade based off of them.  For example, if a big crash happens you can use that as an opportunity to buy.

As ETH already been well developed and its platform already have a lots of usage, I think as well that falling to that level is not possible anymore, and just like what mate has said, only reason for that to happen is if there's really a system problem that will lead the to any collapse, or also if ever that an hacker penetrate the whole community and dumped everything, better to understand more about the system so you will be able to support ETH even you already seen that the value is already to this level.

calm down. it is NOT possible at all! Ethereum is used everywhere, the market capitalization of the coin is constantly growing, and it seems that many supporters of the platform believe that ETH will cost soon 2-3K.

If ETH was fundamentally broken no one would care and they'd carry on pumping even before it was repaired. Coins which don't function in any way at all still pump on exchanges. ETH will be proven to be a truly unworkable idea in the end. It'll still pump on the basis of a future that will never arrive. No one's in it for anything other than more money.

So to answer OP's question, it may well deserve to be that low or zero, but collective crypto madness won't permit it.

 There is something about valuation of any asset that are supposed to be  concrete. You can not just value an asset based on wishes. Ethereum has grown beyond $30 in value for more than two years now, why would anybody think ethereum could be $30 again?

Every think or all things are possible but I thinks for the main time ethereum is not going below $3,000. We are having a very good times especially those that invested in the last dump. There are very high potential of ethereum pushing towards $1,000 again and coming back $30 is a things I cannot think.

Yes, you're right mate. It's impossible that ETH drop its value at 30$. I guess it has been increasing bit by bit everyday. So, if you're planning to invest on it, now is the time to buy because I believe it is continuously increasing until year-end.

Maybe ethereum will increase more the price this year and the next few years and we don't know when the price become $30 and for sure if that happen for sure most of the people are buy again ethereum. For me i think that was already almost imposible in etherium to go back down to that price again since he is already on the top and there are so many people want to hold it even in long term short term for personal usage.

I respect your decision, but I try to be coherent with market rules, Eth to $30 would means a market cap of 2 billions, this represent only a bit percentage to capital own from whales. and these people never lose. the last Eth blood dip was around $ 370, this may give you a idea.

I highly doubt that Ethereum will ever cross that price range ever again, unless the whole cryptocurrency market takes a big hit to the knee, ethereum is at the point where it will consonantly go up and not down, because not only it is good asset on its own to invest in, but there are a lot of good etehreum based tokens that are baking it up, so the market cap is worth millions if not billions of dollars at this point, so talking about it reaching 30$ is unrealistic.

We shouldn't think of being so confident that way , because eth price might dip so hard due to price volatile situations of cryptocurrency nowadays. For the first time when I saw this thread, I thought it is a news that eth have been down to this much price. But brother yes, like you have said, eth is one of the stunning coin that is being praised and loved by so many people. Best thing about it is, this coin is friendly to an average man’s pocket. So we can’t expect such a downfall from them in coming days rather they must grow healthier.

Everything is possible but eth for $ 30? it will not happen you're wasting time to wait. Besides that if you see from the chart, eth already up at $ 70 this moment. I suggest you do some research to find another coin for invest/ trade, it will more challenge than wait. Think again and see you on the top.

I am definitely sure that you are the only single person who thinks that way. Most of the people have already understood that the ETH's prices wont go below 300 bucks now onwards because it holds that much market capital in its core!

Its posible to happen but take a look how famous the etherium is today. The 30$ down price on etherium is almost imposible you know why? In my opinion, It is difficult that  Ethereum will return to the crisis or decline because I think the problems that led to a fall in the entire market have been solved. In fact, as you wait for that chance, then you will lose your time and many other opportunities in different crytpocurrencies  and you may regret, especially when  Ethereum will rise with a huge value.

On the other hand, I guess that one plan or strategy does not guarantee an acceptable profit in the field of trading, so you must have a different strategies in each situation. Trust me, if you play it always in a safe mode then you cannot earn a large proportion of money, and for me, risk is essential to achieve your financial goals and more. Plus, you must forget Ethereum, and try to buy another crytocurrencies like, (Ripple, Cardano, Tron).

That's impossible as there are no prerequisites for such a behaviour of ETH.
It could lose like 10-20% of its current value but that's just a sesonal fluctuation followed by correction (we experience that every year).
Ethereum's positions are rather strong on the market and I would even predict its rise in the nearest future.

Eth already dumped, you should have bought it 2 months ago when it was at the bottom. Waiting for it to fall further is bad trading as there is too much demand, it will never go down that low. Better off buying a competitor to ethereum instead and wait for that to rise

wow! $30 for ETH is way way too down buddy. Even in the greatest correction we had this year, it never crossed below $100. I don't know if that's possible to happen but in my opinion I'd say no, it's not gonna happen

Currently ETH is valued at nearly $ 700 and it is unbelievable that you might think that ETH is down to $ 30. I believe this year ETH will grow very strong and reach new heights. Recently Vitalik head of ETH has launched a new way to help ETH trading becomes faster and this has helped ETH are receiving great attention of investors.

I don't think we will see ETH falling to that level again unless something fundamentally goes wrong and some kind of major flaw in the code is discovered.

It's impossible for me. Your target is very low. Etherum has a big community and user in cryptoworld. So many new coin or old coin paired by etherum. Etherum will be increase in the future.

Just me 0.2ETH but I think it's impossible as well. There's too much work from start-ups and the like on the Ethereum that wouldn't be sustainable if the price drops so low - so they won't let it drop that low, regardless what happens.

So what's the catch for ETH goes down to 30$? Is there any basis,lapses nor destruction team threat? well if not then its impossible for ETH to go down at 30$ since there is so many huge whales backed up this Coin and provably they doesn't like to see that coin slowly die. This is probably your joke. At present ETH prices have increased to $ 800. The $ 30 is only possible in the next 1000 years. The Crypto market is growing and has a bright future. There is no reason why ETH prices drop to such a low level.

People want to see the top coins of digital market at a very low price because they desire to earn big amounts out of them but it would have been better if a bit care and trust was demonstrated during the dip. The thing which I personally like about the crypto currencies the most is that you can expect anything when it comes to that of the market value of any of the crypto coin. The market value of ETH can fall to this much value but I don’t really think so that this will ever happen in the future. the reason behind this is that the demand of ETH is continuously increasing which will result in increase in its price.

Eth is great and no doubt in it. People from different backgrounds and socioeconomic status are continuously getting in there and earning money of them. Right now, they aren’t much good in state of giving profits because they are so low. I think it is possibly not to be happen because as we can see now the etherium community is continuously growing day by day due to various ICO that uses it and also due to its good platform that every investors can be used. We can see that it has a huge and strong community that makes the price increase and make the demand huge.

That impossible because fundamental of ETH still strong so when ETH at price $400 will be many trader and investor buy it, because they know that is level support area of ETH. I also don’t think that we will ever see Ethereum decreasing to such a value ever. Such good days are gone now. Probably not possible.  If it went down to that low it would be for a fraction of a second as there are thousands upon thousands of people who probably already have buy orders set all the way down in case it drops at all.  Extremely unlikely without some sort of human error somewhere.

Many times over, price if an asset is an indication of growth and development if such asset. Ethereum have sold for $10 before when it was still developing  it's smart contract capabilities. Now, ethereum has gone pass that level of development you can not expect it's price to be lower.

No ETH could drop to such a low price. There is no reason for ETH to fall deep and if ETH drops to $ 30, it is unlikely that Crypto will survive.

Those people waiting to drops like that will wait for long. Price of eth has drops before and I don't think it will going down low from the current price. Why waiting for it too low, eth is still good to buy today.

I think that would be too harsh of a fall if that happens to Ethereum considering that it is one of those coins that has reached about a thousand grand before. I have come to accept that, in this market, everything and anything is possible. You are like saying that bitcoin will go to $1K level which will be painful to see. But it is possible? of course everything is possible in this volatile market. I don’t see your rationale of your desire that ETH would become $30 apiece. Granting that it happen then what would be your assurance that it will return to high position. Most commonly happen from this kind of scenario is the coins never got back to high price because something bad happen to the crypto. Take example of Bitconnect from as high as $400 it when down to $0.71. There are no guarantees that your desire will happen. My advice to you is instead of waiting the coin to crash study harder on technical analysis and start trading seriously.

It is very easy to understand that the whole crypto market stands on bitcoin if the value of BTC goes down the whole market including ETH goes down and vice versa. for ETH to goes down below $30 you need to low its volume which is extremely high because of ICO funding everyday in ETH.

First of all, anything can happen in the world of crypto--I am sure of that, because I've witnessed some crazy things in terms of price variations that I never thought would happen.  For instance, I thought it would take probably 10 years or so for bitcoin to hit $10,000 and yet it hit $20k within probably a few months of me forming my opinion on that. 

So yeah, it is possible that ETH could hit $30 again, but I don't think it's probable.  I'm not really into altcoins but I do own a small amount of a handful of them and ETH has recently become one of those.  It's one of an even smaller handful that's actually useful in terms of commerce, because there are a few merchants I've seen accepting it.  I also think it's critical to the ICO market, and I don't see that slowing down anytime soon.  For those reasons I have a feeling that ETH is going to go up, not down, and I don't think it's going to be under $100--probably ever.  But we'll see.  My predictions have been abysmally wrong before.

Altcoins are even worse, so imagine 90% for Ethereum is $140, which we almost reached! I would say as many alts have reached 5%, so can Ether. 5% for ETH is $70 and if you already reach $70,,, $30 is not far away!

Things have gone down so fast and I think the altcoins are still having virtual prices now. The altcoins are now valued at zero because, until now, its value has always been flattered by whales.

Most projects raised a lot of Eth, and were forced to sell it off of course, to pay for salaries especially, and they paid a lot of devs over $10k per month,,, some even $15k. You were paid $25k at ETH price of $1k... but actually even now you earn more than $4k. People are being forced to sell as they pay bills. That caused a lot of selling pressure. People thought 1000 tokens all utility, would cause demand for Ether for Dapp transactions. But as you point out,,, they just caused dumping.
