Title: Do you actually use Bitcoin?
Post by: fargoway on July 10, 2018, 11:31:33 AM
As far as I am more and more in it, I can do some conclusions.

1) People are mostly not using the Bitcoin (altcoins as well);
2) Crypto-enthusiasts are real enthusiasts only when the price goes up;
3) Even considering there are more crypto-companies appear which offer their services, and more people join our community - the level of crypto education and adoption is still very low;

Almost 95% of all people in crypto I know personally are holding or trading, but not using it to its functionality. I cannot judge anyone for this, but let's be honest - it won't bring you any money if you just will buy it and wait.

So, there is a question: "How much of you use Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency to its full capacity?" I am curious about this because as for now it looks like there is only a small group of people making some contributions.

As far as my main income is from crypto i would love to use my crypto for everyday spendings but it is rarely possible. I have to withdraw to fiat each month.
If there was simple solution for sure i would use it. Zeex is starting ICO in which you will be able to spend your crypto without KYC in 350+ brands by gift cards (adidas, starbucks, tesco etc)

Oh, you are an excellent representative of those small group of people, who uses crypto. There are no doubts you will use it if your income is already in cryptocurrencies

I personally use bitcoin as much as possible. Mostly through online services like on my servers and such. Unfortunately the merchant adoption in my country is very low. Though hopefully that's going to change as the days go by.

I cannot judge anyone for this, but let's be honest - it won't bring you any money if you just will buy it and wait.
You definitely can make money if you just buy and wait. Bitcoin was just $2500 on June last year. Even though bitcoin's price crashed pretty hard right now, that's still more than x2 profit. You can make money just by waiting, it just depends on what price you bought the coins.

You are right, that most people use altcoin more. and for some people who use bitcoin, they do not really use it as a means of payment as the main purpose of bitcoin is created. but they use it as an investment asset. so practically, bitcoin is slightly away from the main destination as an online transaction payment tool.

Of course, the world is not ready to introduce cryptocurrency money into everyday life. But the movement in this direction is already outlined..
In the meantime, we have a great opportunity to invest in projects. And transfer the profit to Fiat, if necessary.

I don`t use bitcoin,because I can`t use it for something other than trading.
I can`t buy food or pay the bills with btc in my country.Bitcoin can be used for gambling,but I don`t gamble.
The main problem with bitcoin adoption is that women don`t use it.When more women start using btc,more online merchants will accept btc payments.

What you are saying is very true. Most people are just holding it for better price and dump them. Many crypto lovers do not use the digital currency to the fullest of its abilities. What we do now is to buy, hold for sometimes, and sell it when the price rises quite appreciable. I think it is high time we use the currency to the fullest by using it in our daily transaction online and i believe by so doing the value of the currency would be maintained.

Yes, I am actually using Bitcoins, and I am a proud Bitcoin user. The country where I belong does't banned Bitcoin or the whole crypto currency community, but rather it support the crypto world. Bitcoin is a great medium to be used as a currency. I hope that other people will also know Bitcoin and be a part of the crypto currency community.

I really don't get what you meant by if we really use bitcoin. I have been in cryptocurrency space for quite a while now and am sure that it's what i have been using to sustain myself. We all trade in exchanges and at the end of the day, month, or depending on whatever schedule we gave to ourselves sell at our own convenient time. So i believe that is using bitcoin. Besides there are not much places we can officially use bitcoin to buy real goods just few of them exist for now. But we do sell them for fiat and i believe it counts.

A lot of dealers are? You have confirmed that in order to make purchases you change bitcoins to Fiat. That says you're using Fiat. You only need bitcoin to access Fiat. So forced to do the majority of users of cryptocurrency so the trust in cryptocurrency is reduced and it becomes more vulnerable.

your conclusion here is based on what you hear from others or read online. and the source of that is from the most vocal group which is the investors who care mainly about the price so you think people aren't using bitcoin.

the fact is there are a lot of people using bitcoin. you can read about the stats that sometimes the big businesses release the best one is from Bitpay which is a payment processor. if what you said was true then their stats should have been a lot lower which was $110M+ in bitcoin payments per month in 2017 https://blog.bitpay.com/bitpay-growth-2017/

The main problem with bitcoin adoption is that women don`t use it.When more women start using btc,more online merchants will accept btc payments.
I can't think of any reason why it has to be women instead of saying that "people" or "both gender" should start adopting bitcoin.

These merchants aren't relying only to women and there are some stats that most of the bitcoin users are male.

I have been using bitcoin many times and until today, in fact I'd used it lately to pay for something. I really like using it though the market isn't so good today.

I do. I actually pay for online stuff like vps, seedboxes, servers, etc. Whenever I need a graphic designer or a web developer I look for people accepting btc. I've even bought T-shirts using btc.

it won't bring you any money if you just will buy it and wait.
On the contrary, you can actually make some decent money if you just hold your btc (if I buy right now @6300, wait, and the sell @11k, I would've made some nice profits), that's one of the reasons why people don't want to use their btc.

I do not see any difference who uses bitcoin. Man or woman doesn't matter. The main thing is that people use it.And if a person has a sufficient amount of funds, he can invest in bitcoin.The other part he can use in everyday life if it is profitable for him.

Yes, you are right.
Bitcoin seems to be moving in a different direction. It is no longer a currency which is use to make online transactions, instead that, Bitcoin is being owned for long-term investment (holding) and trading. The cause of this problem is probably because everyone knows that investing in Bitcoin give our a huge profit, much higher than investing in real estate.
To me, I often use Altcoin to make my transactions, so why do not I use Bitcoin ???, because the cost for Bitcoin is too big so I use other altcoin like dogecoin to be faster and cheaper

Bitcoin as gold and for use it in "real world" is useless. You do not go to the store for sausage with gold  :D Therefore, many projects have a chance to get ahead of BTC and most likely it will be Ethereum in 2019 ;)

I use Bitcoin by storing of value .and also I've been using bitcoin to pay a friend of mine for my share of some server capacity we use together. The thing to realize about bitcoin is that the bitcoin design and network of servers has proven to be very robust and reliable to this point.

This is totally correct . People are not actually and particularly using bitcoin because they don't have the authority to do so .
We all will use amazon gift cards and not money if we have them , but right now we dont have the option of using bitcoin at most of the places as direct payments or services.

They are trading but they are not using Bitcoin's functionality? Are you listening to what you are saying? Trading Bitcoins is best way to prove that Bitcoin is being used for its functionality. Bitcoin allows them to trade 24 hours straight which is also a functionality of Bitcoin. Bitcoin allows them to earn even on legal holidays since there is no holiday when it comes to Bitcoin which is also its functionality. The functionality which states that there is no central authority. Nobody can dictate that Bitcoin should be closed for a day. Nobody not even your ignorance can stop the functionalities of Bitcoin. No matter how you badmouth Bitcoin you can never stop its functionalities.

regardless of all the answers, bitcoins are created essentially a virtual currency. but bitcoin also has a value that is so fluctuating that it will be hard to set. because this is how bitcoin evolves from time to time to evolve into a very expensive piece of crypto assets. and for altcoin, to date I have not heard and seen innovation go according to its scenario.

Yes that most crypto owners are using it to make investments like trading. So that way is the thing that is the majority of choices for many people, crypto offers a lot of interesting things and when we do Trading then we have the opportunity to get huge profits. Opportunities that will be utilized by many users of crypto. If calculated then only a small part that uses crypto as a medium of financial transactions, what you say is true that the volume of financial transactions using crypto is still fairly small. This should be corrected because when we can use crypto in doing financial transactions then it will increase trust and automatically the price of crypto can rise up. So keep improving because only we all can make the future crypto getting better.

Yeah I agree with your statement partially. Most people use bitcoin as a trading platform or as holders because they have no clear idea where they can use it in their real life. I mean actually there are very less places where we can use as a real currency because most companies/ shops/ websites doesn't accept crypto currency as a real currency. If we can implement a program to popularize bitcoin among business people crypto will hit the highest because its one of safest and also cheapest way to transfer money.

I am okay with buying and selling Bitcoin. But does it make a lot of sense to you to simply trade with currencies? like you can sell your dollars for euros and buy it back and get a profit on rate difference. It's all good, but it is not how this works. It is impossible to make money out of money without really working business in this chain and if you don't spend bitcoins to buy goods or pay for services - someone else has to do it. Otherwise, the value of Bitcoin or any other coin will be not more than 0.

bitcoin is a ready product, there is no reason not to use it for transactions. But it's true that it's not easy to find places where to spend it, it doesn't make much sense to looking up the things to buy with btc to spend it. It should be the other way around

Yes, i am a user of bitcoin, but I hold my bitcoin as long as I can, and I just sell some of them in the important matters only. I believe that this will have a surprise for those bitcoin holder someday and i just hold what is positive feedback of those who support and believe on the bitcoin too.

The same here, I am using bitcoin though not that high amount but still I prefer to hold it because of unpredictable value of bitcoin. I am still hoping that it will increase more in order for me to gain double of the amount I invested.

1) People are mostly not using the Bitcoin (altcoins as well);
most of people who held bitcoin are really not using bitcoin, they hodl it until they achieve the goals that they settled up.
people use alt-coins for day trading and not to spend on some stuff to earn profits each day.

3) Even considering there are more crypto-companies appear which offer their services, and more people join our community - the level of crypto education and adoption is still very low;
because not all people are willing to study how crypto works, some of them has a negative mind about crypto-currency adding by some FUDs in each countries, so people scared to lose money on the project that they really never know.

Almost 95% of all people in crypto I know personally are holding or trading, but not using it to its functionality. I cannot judge anyone for this, but let's be honest - it won't bring you any money if you just will buy it and wait.
its depend on the people, when they want to hold or trade, because hold and trade are both risky but in a different ways.

So, there is a question: "How much of you use Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency to its full capacity?" I am curious about this because as for now it looks like there is only a small group of people making some contributions.

the group of people you mentioning are those stakes holders (whales), a really HOLDING a HUGE amount of coins to prevent the full down of the projects. and manipulating the markets as well.

Well, I am definitely using Bitcoin for my business transactions as it is most beneficial for me as my clients are from foreign countries. I have observed significant improvement in the cash flow without doing any major changes in the financial structure. However, I don't have even a single merchant in my city accepting Bitcoin as a payment method as of now so I am not able to use it on my personal level.

The bitcoin has certainly transformed and changed my perception about the way I see crypto. It has helped to broaden my  horizon about the uses of the internet and help me prioritize my values

Altcoins are much useable than bitcoin,  This was happened because almost of the crypto enthusiast are choosing altcoins since small crypto traders are one of the highest population in cryptocurrency world. So in that instances people should get their profits by joining in bounties and ICO's  that's why they also choose to trade tokens into other higher coin in market. But it doesn't mean that bitcoin can never been used because bitcoin is the popular crypto around the world

this problem has not found a bright spot, bitcoin has not even touched the age of 10 years obviously we can not expect that crypto will be accepted as a means of payment everyday. I think most users (including myself) want to use bitcoin for other functions, not just digital investment assets, but the reality is very difficult. as in my country, for now the government firmly still prohibits crypto as a means of payment, and may only be used as a digital asset investment. enjoy this process, I am sure crypto will slowly begin to be accepted by the public

This is true because there are still few uses for cryptocurrencies and only few businesses adopted it. It is also depends on your country, if there is no services or stores that offers this kind of transactions then you will not be able to use the true functionality of those cryptocurrencies. Here in my country, there are also few but there is a local exchange here that also function as a payment processor to pay your bills or buy game credits and it suits my needs because I game a lot and also paying bills becomes easier for me since I can just pay with my Bitcoin or Ethereum directly. But I will be honest, I don't usually use my Bitcoins especially if the price went down, most likely I will spend it when there is a gain.

Crypto didn`t reach it`s full potential, so it`s a bit nonsense to talk about using it with full capacity. Some people in more advanced countries are able to use bitcoins for many things, fun or food, paying tax, or paying a cab, for paying bills, but advanced countries are minority, there are many more countries behind.
I use bitcoins for investing, I use bitcoins for passive income, I gamble with bitcoins since day one, I bought couple things with bitcoins, but you tell me when I receive some payment in bitcoins and then I sell some for my currency and then I use that money for my needs, what I use? I wait for shortcut and chance to skip selling bitcoins or any crypto and paying for my needs directly!

This is the truth to some extent. And there are many reasons for this. These are:
- Non acceptance of bitcoin in most of the countries.
- Non legalization of bitcoin.
- Popularity of bitcoin as a means of investment only.
- It's promotion as a currency is not to a great extent.

But there are many countries like Japan where bitcoin is being used as a regular mode of payment for everything; literally everything.

It is true most people are not using their Bitcoins and most probably it is because in their country thry simply can not use it yet. But I think there are some who would exchange their bitcoins and altcoins to their own fiat money to pay their bills. It may not be directly from cryptocurrency to merchants but at least its on the same path. It would just be a matter of time until some merchants would accept cryptocurrencies then all would be able to use their coins accordingly.

        Even if people use altcoins more than bitcoin, their price is more or less dependent on the bitcoin price (except for some altcoins). So whether or not you use bitcoin, anyway it influences your crypto investment. I personally use bitcoin, but I think it's a long-term investment.

How about considering also the status of Bitcoin usage in their country? The bans and the regulations. Maybe people are still cherishing the benefits it give, before it uses its full functionality to be a currency or as a means of alternative money.
Consider these questions before concluding something.

1. Does their country allow crypto-related businesses?
People won't have the choice to start up business if cryptos were already banned in the first place in their country.

2. How many people really know the functionality of Bitcoin?
The goal for Bitcoin needs for people to know not just simply aware. Being simply aware of the existence of Bitcoin will still give them choice to not follow or not to learn it even more.

3. Is Bitcoin already established in the major countries?
Most of the time, I see news in the status of Bitcoin in Japan. It was quite going well and trade and exchanges are just going as it was except for the hacks though, but pretty much there were many establishments already happening in Japan in terms of cryptocurrency. How about in other countries? In my country, I rarely hear something from it in the news. I only hear when scams were happening. I read quite few more articles about it in my country, but that isn't gonna guarantee that other people will know what is Bitcoin, judging that not all people really have access to the internet and if they have,  majority would just use it for the purpose of gaming or such projects.
Yes, I agree with your opinion that regulations in specific countries make some obstacles on the way of crypto adoption. However, Bitcoin was created exactly for this - to fight with centralization and dependence from the government. All in all - we have a lot of options but still to scared to use them.

Technically speaking, Bitcoin was invented as a means to buy and sell online in a secure fashion. However, the volatility of this cryptocurrency makes many people reluctant to spend their coins. It’s usually wiser to use your fiat currency for purchases and let digital assets appreciate in value.

Currently, Bitcoin is too volatile to use it as a medium of exchange, but this may change in the future. Until then, it is an excellent store of value, easily beating real estate, gold, tech shares, etc.

As far as I know, people tend to use this to profit most of the time but I know some friends who use Bitcoin to buy something like for example, steam wallet, cellular load, paying bills, etc. I personally use Bitcoin for my convenience but it's limited. It's just that, there are only few merchants who accept Bitcoin as a payment because of it's volatility. Also, when you are transferring Bitcoin from one another, the network fees vary and it would affect the profit and the price of a product which led me to the conclusion that you are right in a way.

Other coin can gave you a large profit in a single time but at bitcoin it cannot do too fast.  Too many altcoins was too fast to pump and dump so it is good or better to try altcoin if you have money and knowledge about that.  The advantage of bitcoin was, if you do long term investment then you cannot get losses because bitcoin has pure secured for profit in the future.

Almost 95% of all people in crypto I know personally are holding or trading, but not using it to its functionality. I cannot judge anyone for this, but let's be honest - it won't bring you any money if you just will buy it and wait.
I think that percentage depend upon where you are living and your friends are from because I am using part of my trading profits to pay my bills through services that allow me to pay with crypto. But if you are from a country where you can either just hold or sell in peer to peer deal than you can't spend it like you do with fiat but that doesn't mean you are not spending your coins because the fiat which you get by selling your coins will be used to purchase items from store.

Do you think spending is really important for bitcoin at current stage where it is still struggling to get adoption? We first need more investors and more hype all over the world so that many stores at every part of the world will start to accept direct bitcoin payments and people can spend their coins directly.

Bitcoin is a great medium to be used as a currency. I hope that other people will also know Bitcoin and be a part of the crypto currency community.
Me too, I am proud to be bitcoiner and my country are accepted bitcoin it's a great pleasure for me. And before I use my bitcoin I need  to convert first into cash cause here in my country selected outlet only accepted bitcoin as payments. That's why I need it convert. I wish all people will also know and join in bitcoin cause here in bitcoin community you earn and learn lot's of things.

So, there is a question: "How much of you use Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency to its full capacity?" I am curious about this because as for now it looks like there is only a small group of people making some contributions.
That is true, not so many people use bitcoin at all, i don't know if there is statistic about this but most people are holders. I am doing three things with bitcoin, I use it to buy something with bitcoin if it is accepted in store, I hold some of it and I exchange one part to cash. Holding is not good for ecosystem.

As far as I am more and more in it, I can do some conclusions.

1) People are mostly not using the Bitcoin (altcoins as well);
2) Crypto-enthusiasts are real enthusiasts only when the price goes up;
3) Even considering there are more crypto-companies appear which offer their services, and more people join our community - the level of crypto education and adoption is still very low;

Yes I do. I use it as a method of payment as well as an investment. Bitcoin was mainly created as currency which could be used as mode of payment but now people use it more as an investment which is totally fine too. Once bitcoin becomes stable, more people would start using it as a currency instead of investment.

These conclusions have no basis whatsoever.

1) Are you pertaining to all the people worldwide or just crypto enthusiasts? For sure mostly, people will not use Bitcoin because not everyone know how to use or earn it. HODL probably  :D
2) You can't say they're Crypto-enthusiast if they're "not" at all. LOL
3) There are no "crypto-companies", its actually companies and enterprises that adapt the cryptocurrencies or introduced new technology by means of the blockchain itself. The education - its just self-explanatory you don't need such course or degree to learn it.

Its their strategy, if that's how they manage their assets let them be. Not every technique works on every person.

In my knowledge no one is using Bitcoin to its maximum capability, cause we still can't.

I don't really use bitcoin for my daily transactions. the main reason is I use bitcoin more as an investment instead of using it as a currency. There are so many reasons for this. It is mainly because my country is not really accepting any transactions relating to the crypto currency. So it really becomes difficult to transact in the same. And also here it has no gained much popularity as a medium of exchange. That is the reason I hardly use bitcoin. but investing and trading in bitcoin is what I have been doing from a very long time.

I do sell my bitcoin to buy data, and some other basic things. And I do transfer to people for some kind of investment involving bitcoin, they give me fiat in return.

If government clearly supports in any country then you would see that people in those country are accepting the btc as a payment option and people can use in buying daily requirements, making bill payments etc. This will encourage people to go virtual.

I am fine with people investing in crypto for a long-term profit or trading with it daily. However, if people just use it to gain more money and exchange back to fiat - then it makes not so much sense and you should better try traditional stock exchange which is well regulated and less risky.

I am including the people you mentioned because I am the one who choose to choose something profitable including to choose bitcoin but I also want to use altcoin because both are profitable for me because behind it all I am sure that in pursuit of something many people want to have a profit so if the altcoin value is above the bitcoin then I prefer altcoin as the first advantage because bitcoin is usually made for investment assets only so it is very clear that bitcoin is slightly away from the main purpose as an online transaction payment instrument.

I agree. The only thing you will do is just to wait. Eventhough sometimes its going to spend a longer time but expect to earn rather than investing another else and have a 50 percent chance of earning.

Well, every industry needs investors who will buy and hold, but anyway there is also a need for people who will do all the work. Otherwise if we only have millions of investors and no developments done - bitcoin will lose its value. Moreover, we need to start adopting cryptocurrency and using it in everyday life. Only by following these steps we can expect a great growth of BTC and the whole cryptocurrency world.

Again. If you won't ever spend your money - why you need these digits (paper)????

As far as I am more and more in it, I can do some conclusions.

1) People are mostly not using the Bitcoin (altcoins as well);
2) Crypto-enthusiasts are real enthusiasts only when the price goes up;
3) Even considering there are more crypto-companies appear which offer their services, and more people join our community - the level of crypto education and adoption is still very low;

In what you are right. For its functionality in everyday life, I do not use bitcoin. But I rely on the help of crypto currency sometimes with my partners who have business on cryptology

I am including the general population you specified on the grounds that I am the person who pick something productive including to pick bitcoin yet I additionally need to utilize altcoin in light of the fact that both are gainful for me on the grounds that behind everything I am certain that in quest for something numerous individuals need to have a benefit so if the altcoin esteem is over the bitcoin then I lean toward altcoin as the principal advantage on the grounds that bitcoin is typically made for venture resources just so it is evident that bitcoin is marginally far from the principle reason as an online exchange installment instrument.

1) How can you be sure of it that we are not using bitcoin? if there's no demand for bitcoin it won't reached $6,100 now.
2) No. I've been here when the price was lower and I don't really think before that price will be reach on where it is now.
3) I'll agree on that, you can't just spread crypto education to everyone easily. The world isn't a small town where you can shout and let the people get close to you.

it is not necessary to use/spend your bitcoin on some other stuffs, because for me bitcoin is a stored value that has to change price every moment. it is not worth to use it, it is worth to store/hold until the price goes up. for me investing in bitcoin is more profitable than any other investment projects in a real world. so i do not actually use bitcoin, but i use bitcoin to stored.

Bitcoin has opened three ways of income for myself. The first income comes from short-term trading of bitcoin as i knew that there are big movements going in bitcoin price chart on every single day. The second income comes from Investing in Bitcoin on a long-term basis and I am going to reinvest this income again and again till I get 10 to 20 times my principal amount. The third income comes from Arbitrage trading and reselling the bitcoins for cash to the local clients.

As for me, I will utilized the most of what bitcoin and other alternative coin can offer to maximized the advantage it can actually provide to us. If we really want a revolutionary adoption of this technology, we must be involved in the expansion of its usage and coverage. After all, that is our main goal why we are trusting the technology that brought bitcoin to the market.

I do web development as a freelancer in my spare time. I have quite a network of clients that are involved in the crypto space and I managed to convince them to pay for my services using cryptocurrencies. At first I only accepted BTC, but now I also accept ETH.

So I put on a Ledger the coins that I bought as an investment and I started using the coins that I earn to pay for stuff that I need. I can buy PC Components from a local shop using bitcoin and also I pay for hosting.

So yeah, I really use Bitcoin in everyday use. Not because I need it, but because it's cool and I also get a steady stream of new coins as income. It's easier to spend them because of this.

I am in hardcore hodl mode. I barely use (spend) any coins and I don't see anything in it for now from my position. It's pointless to force yourself to use something that just doesn't offer much convenience yet.

Fiat does everything I want money to do, and that in a much better way than Bitcoin. In order to make me switch over to Bitcoin it has to be able to match fiat in nearly every way, and we're far away from that right now.

I must however say that I am impressed with the Lightning Network and think that this may very well be the trigger that will make me use Bitcoin more than ever before. Till that time Bitcoin remains gold for me.

In my opinion bitcoin currently is too deflationary to use it as a medium of exchange, but this may change in the future.
Until then, it is an excellent store of value, easily beating real estate, gold, tech shares, etc.

Having said all that, I can still think of 3 good reasons to spend bitcoin:
You have no other option, for example when you live in a country like Venezuela where inflation is extremely high.
You bought bitcoin cheaply a long time ago and now you want to cash out, for example buying a home.
Your income is in bitcoin, for example if you’re a miner.

Therefore I believe that 5% of those who heard about it know how to buy it and use it, and 1% of those know what it actually is. Although it's my biased opinion.

All the hype is from lack of knowledge of what bitcoin and how it is used. Talking with people everyday it is clear they have no idea what it is. However we are seeing new users daily added to the exchange sites so the awareness is growing rapidly.

As far as I am more and more in it, I can do some conclusions.

1) People are mostly not using the Bitcoin (altcoins as well);
2) Crypto-enthusiasts are real enthusiasts only when the price goes up;
3) Even considering there are more crypto-companies appear which offer their services, and more people join our community - the level of crypto education and adoption is still very low;

1) Agreed, same here. :D
2) Mostly!
3) Totally agreed.

I think it still early to use the cryptocurrencies in the 'real life' but it'll be solved in time.

Actually I have not yet reach the whole number of bitcoin ,because of the high value of bitcoin, so I have only fractions of bitcoins in my wallet, so I exchange it with ethereum, then the ethereum is been use for buying tokens and then sell it out and then buy another kind of tokens again, that is the actual use of my bitcoin.

The best way to use Bitcoin in some underdeveloped countries is by buying it at dip price and sell at higher price, then exchange it to fiat. Especially in some Africa countries where the government doesn't recognise Bitcoin at all.

That's good news cause your country are open minded in the new technology of cryptocurrency and they know the benefits and advantage of bitcoin in your country. Like you I also wish that someday all people are interested to join in bitcoin for there future become successful.

But that does not mean we should not used it when will have not cash at hand. I have some bitcoin in my wallet but make you of them frequently no Matter the price. Reason why is because sometimes I need at hand.. Which make me to sell and when money come again I buy and keep again.

I believe you have given solutions to the questions yourself. people rarely use bitcoins as well as altcoins simply because of the issue of acceptance by many economies for legal transactions. This has limit its effect as a medium of exchange and hence its usage. Again, the level of knowledge on cryptocurrencies(education) is comparably low ; this makes it difficult to be use for transaction and hence low demand

I used bitcoin to do my trading with my cross country customers. I choose bitcoin because the transaction process is easy, fast and cheap. I am not burdened with the per sale tax of my country and I am not troubled by the transfer policy of the financial services authority. This greatly simplify my transaction. However, I did not use bitcoin for long periods of time because the bitcoin prices were so fluctuating. I am afraid of losing big with this bitcoin price fluctuations so that in the meantime I only serve offline sales. Maybe if bitcoin price is stable then I will use bitcoin back.

What do you actually mean by "use Bitcoin (Altcoin as well)"? How do you actually want us to use it? As you already know bitcoin has become an abstract common noun. We can't touch it or smell it but we know it exists on the internet. We learn about it, we see its progress, we observe its ups and downs, we sell it and buy it. How else we can use it? As a currency? I'm sorry to disappoint you but Bitcoin is not a currency yet.

I use bitcoin mostly in trading and in long term hodl. When I need cash, bitcoin is one of my source. I've been using bitcoin in many of my online transaction and I mostly convert it into fiat to buy or invest in another business. Bitcoin is more profitable if you compare to fiat currency or cash. It can grow tremendously within a week while fiat isn't unless you are trading professionally in forex. Bitcoin, by mere holding it for some months can give you an excellent profits especially when there is an ongoing bullrun.

As far as I am more and more in it, I can do some conclusions.

1) People are mostly not using the Bitcoin (altcoins as well);
2) Crypto-enthusiasts are real enthusiasts only when the price goes up;
3) Even considering there are more crypto-companies appear which offer their services, and more people join our community - the level of crypto education and adoption is still very low;

I make my choice of earning as crypto to deal with the transactions and during the basic need survival i turn out to FIAT and it is part of normal transactions which do not turn me any loss.

In my country, cryptocurrency is prohibited as a means of payment. but still allowed if to trade. so I think entity cryptocurrency is used as a tool to gain profit, whereas functionally I can not feel it, for example as a means of payment.
Currently, I am still learning to understand how bitcoin works with existing technology, such as blockchain, lightning network, etc. I just want to feel this technology can change the financial world and be trusted by many people. but I agree with your statement above.

Actually you're right. There are some bitcoin holder that the purpose why they are holding bitcoin is just for asset investment. And Indeed not using bitcoin's full capacity by means of Online payment transaction. But me I used bitcoin as my source of income and also used to store my fiat money. If there's an emergency I simply send it via online transfer, I used it's full capacity. Bitcoin is now a mainstream but some really don't use bitcoin's real features. But there are now project like XRT, the purpose of XRT is to provide a better and secure payment solution for Hotel and restaurant industry. So in this case cryptocurrency will now be used on it's full function.

it looks like Bitcoin is for trading only, nothing more

Actually, Bitcoin is so versatile that we do not see that we are already using it in different ways. We know that our Bitcoin is only kept in our safe wallets and waiting for them to be used. We use them when we convert them into the currency we can use and if we use it to buy different kind of Alternate Coins. Bitcoin is actually became a basis because of its versatility in terms of its usage.

I think holding and trading are other way to use bitcoins and mostly for who using bitcoin for trading obviously they have adequate or maybe high crpyto education because you could risking your bitcoins if you didn't have any knowledge about bitcoin and bitcoin still can make profit if you just stay and wait depending on the price you bought before. I think there are some people who will exchange their bitcoin and altcoin with their own fiat money to pay their bills. This may not be directly from cryptocurrency to traders but at least on the same track. It is only a matter of time until some merchants receive cryptocurrency, then everyone will be able to use their coins.
And it's true most people do not use their Bitcoin and most likely it's because in their country can not use it.

bitcoin still has a big problem, so bitcoin functionality becomes limited and not maximal. if you say that bitcoin enthusiast only when the market is bullish, then that's a wrong statement. until today bitcoin can survive is because there are still many people who are enthusiastic to bitcoin.

banning bitcoin in some countries limits the function of bitcoin, so bitcoin can only hold and trade.
but, we must admit that crypto growth today is slightly better, in some countries, the world of crypto is used as a payment.

If you're gonna add the income from crypto, most of it goes to my savings. I plan to buy a house but for now, it for the security of my family and if there is an emergency. It's definitely Yes!  Almost people are using altcoins not bitcoin however when they are having bitcoin they automatically exchange into a real cash like what I've did. When I was got tokens from bounty campaign I actually traded it into bitcoin because we know that bitcoin is the highest price in the market that's why it has a big chance to convert bitcoin into cash with higher amount of cash.

 Bitcoin is a on of the best crypto currency in the world. I am definitely using Bitcoin for my business transactions as it is most beneficial for me as my clients are from foreign countries. I have observed significant improvement in the cash flow without doing any major changes in the financial structure. I think many people change their financial life by bitcoin.

As far as I am more and more in it, I can do some conclusions.

1) People are mostly not using the Bitcoin (altcoins as well);
2) Crypto-enthusiasts are real enthusiasts only when the price goes up;
3) Even considering there are more crypto-companies appear which offer their services, and more people join our community - the level of crypto education and adoption is still very low;

I agree with you most of traders use bitcon and other tokens for trading to earn profit, but most buying and selling products uses bitcoin for online transaction

Actually, I just hold bitcoin and altcoins for a long time. In my country, we can't use cryptocurrency means of payment. It's sad, but I think in nearly future, maybe 2-3 years later we will use cryptocurrencies in many ways.
Yes mostly people cant use bitcoin litterslly because it has a limitation. Sometimes I can use my bitcoin directly as a rule of payment once that person was also using it. But if its not, I need to convert it first. Yes we cant use bitcoin and altcoin but it can help us to have fiat currency.

I truly don't get what you implied by on the off chance that we truly utilize bitcoin. I have been in digital money space for a long time now and am certain that it's what I have been utilizing to support myself. We as a whole exchange trades and by the day's end, month, or relying upon whatever calendar we provided for ourselves offer at our own particular advantageous time. So I trust that is utilizing bitcoin. Other than there are very little places we can authoritatively utilize bitcoin to purchase genuine merchandise only few of them exist until further notice. In any case, we do offer them for fiat and I trust it tallies.

Honestly I dont often use bitcoin in comparison to using etherum maybe because some platforms are only accessible with etherum. and as we know the lucrative investment is altcoin because the coins obtained count so much to get a high profit

Your post is quite intriguing but yes, i used bitcoin withdrawing, converting to fiat currency and making it cash for  expenses as well as paying monthly internet bills with ease and hassle free. That's the purpose of having bitcoin not just for an investment but for making human lives ease as possible in the busy world we lived in.

That is right, keep doing it. If you have another source of income beside from bitcoin then you can use it to finance the things that you need to pay like electricity cost and other things because bitcoin is the best for long term and you should keep it because in the future, it might be worth a lot of money and that is when you will just cash it out to enjoy the life and to give you kids the best taste of life.

(Curiosity will do). Anyways, we are all aware about the pros about bitcoin and this could possibly encourage us to use it.

Basically all bitcoin users expect the same thing whether as an asset to trade, investment assets or as a means of payment but what we expect has been broken by the legal situation in our country which eventually changed the bitcoin functionality of its original purpose.

What you are stating is valid. The vast majority are simply holding it for better cost and dump them. Numerous crypto sweethearts don't utilize the advanced money minus all potential limitations of its capacities. What we do now is to purchase, hold for some of the time, and offer it when the value rises very considerable. I think it's about time that we utilize the cash minus all potential limitations by utilizing it in our day by day exchange on the web and I accept by so doing the estimation of the money would be kept up.

Yes I mostly used it as a fiat, because bitcoin has its own limitation of its usage. Only few company was accepting bitcoin. Sometimes I used it when in paying to my friends because they are also using bitcoin. But since not all the people was using bitcoin I must convert it first to used all of my bitcoin and altcoins.

I use bitcoin regularly when I want to send money to anyone outside the country I'm in. I let my friends create bitcoin wallet addresses where we can have transactons done with absolutely minimal charges. There have been times we had profits and loses,but the loses are quite neglible. There is no better way of doing transactions  than with bitcoin.

It is true, that most people use altcoin more. and for some people who use bitcoin, they do not actually use it as a means of payment because the main purpose of bitcoin is made. but they use it as an investment asset. so practically, bitcoin is slightly away from the main purpose as an online transaction payment tool. Thanks

I use bitcoin just as an investment tool and commodity. So, just like trading in general, have a season, sometimes crowded and sometimes quiet. That does not mean I am only enthusiastic if the market is crowded, when lonely I always monitor market developments and sometimes add some assets. I am just a Nemo fish, keeping the funds is important.

I don't see anything wrong with people just storing bitcoin while the Lightning Network gets developed. I use bitcoin primarily as a store of value at this point, simply accumulating it while it's relatively cheap. I also use it to buy altcoins through exchanges.

I use my Bitcoins to patronize a lot of goods and services especially in purchasing groceries in a supermarket in my neighbourhood. It is quite unfortunate a lot of Bitcoin enthusiasts today have shifted the paradigm to Bitcoin investment where investors prefer to buy BTC at low prices and sell during its surge.

As I observed, bitcoin is not use as currency. Most of the members here are just using bitcoin as type of their invesment.
As an exchange to their original currency.

If you mean bitcoin as payment, then I do not use it because my country has not legalized it yet, I need to redeem it to a form recognized here. I am more dominant to use it to invest, and take it when needed.
Bitcoin is more advantageous if used as an investment tool.

I use bitcoin for trading and nothing more! Paying method are just use to pay friends debt but not on the establishment. We all know that BTC is not widely used for payment because of almost all establishment is not accepting it. The main reason I think why they are not acceptable because of btc nature of volatility.
