This is confusing, does the creator not want anyone to mine this? I mean pools cannot even have the codes until 15 minutes before launch. Very little promoting. It's all very strange.

put the windows qt in a password locked rar with 30 characters or more and just post pass on release.

The download issue is then solved. Always some drama with links getting ddos or saturated.

don't give the pools the source early since they will start mining and ruin the coin.

pools should not even have source before qt comes out.... they have proven themselves untrustworthy, they have been mining early several times now.

This is going to be my 3rd attempt at mining a coin from the start, after Ultracoin and Maxcoin. The Ultracoin launch was awful, disgusting, but Maxcoin dwarfed it so I don't even remember much as to what happened with Ultracoin.

Its about 0.02.

I don't remember Ultracoin being as bad as most launches. I got around 0.05btc worth of ultracoins off that launch, which to me is really good for a launch.

It was bad because of avoidable issues that prevented many people from mining, does making it more profitable from the developers. But with that one I don't think it was deliberate like Maxcoin. Maxcoin was an undeniable scam. For crying out loud, the miner was published on twitter, where it got lost with new twits, and you had to compile it which is just horrible. And no Windows wallet until days later.

You're setup screen has the wrong info since it still shows 'mint-fast' in it's URL and all of the 'Mint' user info in still in the database. So I did not need to sign up I just changed my Mint password to a new one.

I've used Scryptominers in the past for Potcoin and they were certainly legit, although they were being DDoS'd I did receive good service from them and certainly did receive my coins

My guess is that the confirmations are taking a bit longer for this coin and the pool says it needs 120 confirms to pay out. If you look at the transaction screen, it should show you all the blocks you've been paid for and are "unconfirmed".

You are most likely still getting paid for the work you are doing it is just taking a bit to confirm the blocks found.

I saw on Scryptominers that the hash rate jumped up to about 1100MH/s, it could have been a false report or a multipool hitting it but that was about an hour after launch

I think more people have them Carbons on cryptorush. But cryptorush died ,so we can only wait.

It takes 120 blocks to confirm and there has only been a total 891 blocks found. It will take some time for the confirmations of your coins. If there were more miners the coins would get confirmed quicker. There has been 22 blocks found network wide in the last 30 minutes.

No there is a problem.  I was receiving regular payouts and they suddenly stopped, now 100k+ in unconfirmed and the last 20 blocks in block stats all say 119 confirms remaining.

This what I was mentioning before.

I'm keeping an eye on some blocks, for example block 623 is awaiting 2 confirmations and it's been that way for hours now!

It could be a job did not run and you will get your coins. I would be more worried if you were mining and nothing was being shown. The pool OP might just be out enjoining the Sunday/night where they live and I'm with you at point my miners at Hashrapid. They have mostly done a good job in the past when I've used them since not one pool OP has even been 100% right there is always some kind of issues at one point or another.

I know people hate to hear this but going to an exchange too soon kills a coin.  A coin needs to build up its community and create a "need" to possess the coin.  If there is no value or reason to own coins, when it hits the exchange the only movement is DOWN.

 it's just the web interface mate, and I'll agree the site looked like it was rushed together, but fact remains I cannot see where I lost coins in this deal, so doubt anyone else was "ripped" off, I have sent a message to the pool dev, hopefully they will come in and say something themselves, jumping to conclusions will get you no where.

why the hell would you do that mate, total disinformation, I just got over 100,000 coins unconfirmed (starting to confirm right now) on my account in 2 hours .... how do you figure it's a scam when I am only set to get 350,000 in a entire 24 hours period ... they are reconfirming coins most likely after resetting the number of confirms required for transfers out of the pool as per the COIN devs modification .... Your sir are an ass hole, willing to mess with someones livelihood all because you do not understand how pools work ...

When I'll see on my pool account that my confirmed coins are back then I'll remove that post.

Also, admins of that pool could post some announcement about that on front page.

You have your coins I would stop being a big  baby about it, you don't have many posts here so I can tell you know very little about coins let alone how pools work, So sit back relax, shudup a learn a little of how things are done, once you learn about more about the way a pool is updated you'll no the difference between a scam and a update, the web site is just a interface and has NOTHING to do with the processing of the coins it's self that is the stratum... and if that is up and running which it has been by what I can see the whole time, then you are fine....

But there are many people who don't and think that they are scammed. Someone does something, someone just screw mining and skips to another coin. I just don't like to be treated like that and will fight for every attempt of cheating myself by anyone.

Your bitching without knowing what is going on + your lack of postings is the give away, but lets as you say give it a few more hours, I was set to make 350,000 coins in 24 hours, I currently have between my confirmed / unconfirmed and what is in my wallet on my first day and still 4 hours short of my 24hr period 500,000 coins. the interface was just updated I would think, having a bit of knowledge on how a pool works.

Yeah....bitching and moaning about 3 hours......clearly you haven't been mining that long. ALOT of pools gets problems and are normally fixed in 24 hours. You do realize that devs and pool owners are just normal human beings that eat, shit, bath, work, and sleep just like the rest of us monkeys on this planet... You can't just expect something to be fixed 5 mins after you posted about it. And no, they don't live off of power naps, they also need to get proper sleep as in at least 6/7 hours a day......

Appears the pplns did not work properly last night, not exactly sure what the issue is, but we are digging into it now.

We were just alerted of this issue!  This is not a scam pool, but something has happened and now we will work to figure out the problem.  

We will re-run it(pplns) and correct it so shares will be credited for all those transactions.

*Update,  we are noticing that over 14m in coins have yet to be confirmed.   Balances are not available until blocks are confirmed.   Why this is taking so long, is a good chance that the nodes have really dwindled.

*Update, in the transactions logs credits are currently being processed.  So there is roughly 14m of back logs, of blocks to be confirmed before they process.  

*Update, the pool is currently working at normal.  The coin issue was an isolated time frame.  If this cannot be solved automatically, we will simply create a ledger where you can put in your username, and verify wallet.  We will manually just send any user who was effected during that time.

We have not long setup and getting a similar issues I believe, cronjob is freezing every now and then and unconfirmed coins are only showing in transaction page. This seems to be an issue with the wallet as far as I can see (need to confirm this yet), unconfirmed blocks are not showing in balance until confirmed. I have dropped the dev a pm but just want to share the info.



**NOTE: Payouts are working as they should the unconfirmed balance statistic on the dashboard page is the only thing that seems to be effected by this.

Have been waiting several days now for a payout, only excuse from pool owner is that something went wrong with the pplns and they couldn't figure out how to fix it. They said they would be doing manual payouts. Still waiting on 200k+ coins from that period. Haven't had a problem since I set it to auto-payout. No reply from email I sent the pool several days ago either.

What are you all finding to be more accurate for CARB/DAY, hashrapid or scryptominers? I've been mining this for a couple of weeks and have mined/sold over 40m but since the massive diff hike last week I can't seem to get an accurate CARB/DAY read out anywhere.

So you're the one selling them at 2s and 3s??? Well I am sure all the buyers are very grateful... Hopefully it ceases to become profitable for you to mine-to-sell at these levels soon, and then the price can start to climb towards fair value. If we get to 000's I will send you a pm to remind you how you despatched 0.25% of the total coin supply before there was even a blockchain ;D. Anyway...

To answer your question there is no way of telling accurately because it would be perfectly possible for Hashrapid to find 5 blocks in a row and Scrypto to find none, or vice versa. There is natural variance, that is just statistics - however one of the features of pool mining is that on balance, over enough time, the returns should tend to eachother. Depending on your mining operation it might be prudent to have your mining power shared between a few different pools.

You could generate separate deposit addresses in your wallet for each pool and watch your balances over a 24hr period if you had any interest beyond this.

Thanks, if the coin rises to anything above double digits then good for it. I was mining the coin when the diff was very low so the return I saw was good enough for me. I hope everyone that is hoarding the coin soon become rich beyond their wildest dreams, but we all know with the abundance of coins out there now it's a very very slim chance, and I'd rather have a little of something than millions of nothing :)

By the way, any recent words of support from the devs? I guess we will know once the blockchain is available. If we see a huge sell from one address then we will know he/they probably dumped. Either that or they didn't realize just how much work is actually involved in maintaining a successful altcoin. Definitely not a part time job, I would imagine.
I would really hate to think that all the resources I have thrown at mining this coin goes to waste. I mean, I'm just a CPU miner who has only managed to get about 52,000 CARB so far, but I'm getting it!  ;D And I am definitely gonna hold on to what I have in hopes that one day either the value goes up, or businesses start accepting CARB for purchases. Brilliant effort finding someone but a few things to consider: I am not sure about paying someone in BTC to do it. I am thinking that asking for payment in a different currency is a little cynical, also there is a lot of danger involved in asking someone to produce an executable file without knowing who they are.

I would happily pay someone 2M Carb to do it, but I would have to speak to them directly first to make sure they were ok.

Linux wallets are readily compilable from source too and most Linux owners have the wherewithall, so offering that isn't really a value-add.

I've got someone who can do the Linux bits and to the initiated a Mac wallet should be a 5 minute task. Your friend is thinking his time is rather valuable.

My guts say keep looking.  :)

Hi thanks for adding. This is not the current thread. I contacted the BCT admin to get this repointed the the current thread but got no response. The person who originally released the carboncoin is no longer active on it and has not been for months, so there is no way of updating the front page of this thread.

According to Carbon Coin Explorer last block was 2hrs 58 minutes ago when it's blocktime is 100seconds.  Also difficulty shows as .00 - .01.  Does this mean the chain stopped?  Huge drop in difficulty shows that everyone is giving up.
UPDATE:   Chain was stuck for 9.5 hrs when it has a block time of 100 seconds. Explain your slow hash secure network.  Full of shit.

We've no idea who the guy who started this is/was, all we know is he abandoned his community very early on and then that same community decided to do some good with their blockchain.

The coin is bottomed out with no buyers at 1 satoshi so it is actually worth nothing.  Don't be fooled by "foundation" trying to bump price for 10 minutes.  Not to even mention that the coin will be delisted in less then 12 days.  I can rewrite what you tried to say.  "One percent of the coin is for sale and they can't manage to dump it because there is 0 buyers and worse yet it is on an exchange that is delisting coin and it will just get harder"

Looks like I got under someones skin.  Couldn't answer any criticism about how the coin cant get on a good exchange and all the so called features such as having it's own forum with a whole 1 post in the past months.  Failure.  Dead coin.

Has it occurred to you that I might have been acting defensively because my honest intentions were being criticised and a photograph I took myself was being accused of being photoshopped when all I did was adjust the colour to make it look better, not being a professional photographer.

It might also have occurred to you that I believe in what Carboncoin can achieve and that is why I continue. Many others believe in it too, although many of them aren't the members of the cryptocurrency community who reside here.

The point of the Carboncoin is that, having gained an understanding of bitcoin and how it worked I could not reconcile myself with the energy consumption of the protocol despite agreeing with the rest of the ethos. I identified that there was a way of making a network work without having to change a great deal to fix this problem. At the same time I was confronted by the extent of the damage that humanity was doing and sought to do something to make that better in the most pragmatic way possible, and planting trees is a pretty good way of doing that, and a pretty good thing to do regardless of which side of the climate change fence you sit on.

The fact of the matter is that landowners are not planting trees at the rate they need to, and doing it for people for free is a pretty good way to change that. There is still a net drawdown in the number of trees on the planet and that is fundamentally unsustainable. Your first post was something along the lines of "Carbon Offsetting is Bull IMO", how is that not a dick move to someone you've never met?

Bitcoin worked in its capacity as a payment system and Carboncoin, out of respect for Bitcoin and acknowledgement of it having worked, has stuck very closely to the structure in protocol as much as operations. We are an energy efficient alternative which will have a positive effect on the planet.

Carbon offsetting is bull.  It really is.  You cant even defend it.  Planting trees on private property where down the line they will be harvested does not really store any carbon at all.  Old trees also release their carbon back into the atmosphere.  Your pictures show exactly what a crock of shit it really is.  Your coin is the only thing more bull then carbon offsetting.  I know a way you can stop your carbon footprint...

Easy Answer their were 0 PoW miners active or the miners did not have enough processing power to overcome the difficulty level, during the block gap.
Also would speculate that there is not enough Hash Power being used with this coin to keep a 100 second block time at its current difficulty level.
After a closer look at the difficulty #s , carboncoin's difficulty only changes every 11 or 12 blocks .
So its basically needs more mining power or the dev needs to set the difficulty to update every single block instead of every ~12 blocks.
Signs of a dying PoW coin, IMO."

This time dev states that it was the only pools fault.  The problem is difficulty spikes!!!  Anyone can hit this coin hard and spike the difficulty and then stop mining to get the coin stuck.  If anyone actually was trying to use this coin in the market at all it would be super easy to manipulate.  Dev didn't copy and paste a good coin at all.


As of 7/21/16 Coin has had .00284816 Vol in bitcoin for the last 7 days.  That's almost a whole 189 cents if you were to cash it.  Dev recently switched to saying the coin is still in distribution phase instead of talking about how all these things to buy with the coin were coming soon.  He has changed the goals of this coin because of what I have said many times over.  He is the Hillary Clinton of coin scams.  Watch him change how coin difficulty works now.

No reply from DEV in over 4 days.  Coin must be abandoned.

This is the real official thread.  That other one is ran by a dev that is unable to dev and is scamming people with the coin trying to create a 2.0 model and a second ICO which makes no fucking sense at all.

Great to see that there are still idea that have a healthy approach.Locking those tokens and releasing them gradually is so important and I'm happy that this team is aware of that.
