My mother and I had a talk about bitcoin last December 2017 or January 2018, the time where bitcoin is on its ATH. She predicted it will not go up beyond $20,000. Do you still think it will reach again its ATH?

No, in my opinion bitcoin will cross 12k in the end of year. Last year it will cross 15k but i think it is not possible for this year. Btw its great perfect time to invest bitcoin.

Price is very unpredictable but if we think of $20k this year ends it is hard to cross at that price.  If massive growth will happen this year price can reach all time high again. No one can gives an accurate price for bitcoin but a lot of changes happen though.

 It will reach a new ATH.  Bitcoin is in an accumulation phase.

I think Bitcoin can return in the range of $ 20,000, this can happen, nothing is impossible, it is very difficult to guess what will happen to other Bitcoins and Altcoins, cryptocurrency is very extreme and we are getting used to it.

I disagree with you as it is unlikely that bitcoin will hit 20000k in the coming days or at least until the end of 2018. my prediction is that it can reach up to 10000k by the end of 2018. thereafter it may hit 30000kvby the end of the year 2019.

Keep calm and wait for bitcoin reached to $20,000, many prediction of bitcoin will reached to $20,000 last years, when bitcoin have raised up to $15,000. But all of them was wrong because today bitcoin have drop to $6,000 and have chance to be on higher price again until $20,000.

It seems very difficult to touch $ 20k, we see this year it has experienced several significant price reductions, and when it will rise it actually falls back, the resistance area is very strong, need great support, it seems that some bitcoins have now lost some trust from investors.

I think the same as most people. I think Bitcoin will definitely exceed $20,000. Maybe it will happen at the end of this year. I don’t worry about Bitcoin at all. Bitcoin is very valuable to me. , we just need to wait patiently

I believe It will pass beyond $20k maybe december or january just a wild guess, but remember cryptocurrency is unpredictable and volatile no one knows what will happen next. For now its good to invest.

No one can predict the price anytime they rise when people invest in cryptocurrency and for me now is the good time to buy then hodl and wait till the moment of truth.

It is hard to predict the price of bitcoin, but I really hope it can reach that price again. I bought my bitcoin at around the all time high price end of last year, and ever since then it keeps dropping. So I really hope the price can increase again and surpass its ATH. I have a lot of patience, so no rush :)

One of the unique thing about cryptocurrency or Bitcoin is that no one can correctly predict the trend of the market or the price of bitcoin after a month or a year. No one thought that BTC could touch 20k $. There are predictions that btc could touch 100k $ but nothing is certain in this market. But it would be good to see if btc touches 20k again in next few months.

A large of new investors are sticking at the price between $10k to $20k, so I think when bitcoin reaches the price they bought again they would sell to quit this game:), it is very hard to touch $20k like what happened in 2017

last pump up to $20000 was just a FOMO. when btc is using for real world use then minimum will be $50K. so you just have to hold your BTC and buy more alts too in this dip

Yes I think that it will again reach its all time high and then surpass it. But not this year, maybe in the coming year. The good thing to do is to invest while we are in bearmarket. Don't wait for bitcoin to reach it's all time high before you put your money in cryptocurrency.

To my own view, Bitcoin is a very valuable coin. It is not only good now or in the future. But if its gonna rise up to 20k its gonna be difficult because I don't see that coming in this 2018.but possibly it might grow more than 10k.

I am not sure that we are going to pass $20k again this year because I think it's very difficult to increase higher. but we have a chance to pass that number if many investors come to bitcoin again and they buy a lot of bitcoin. maybe the price will increase at above $8000 and then in the next year, the price slowly will increase and break $10k and so on. bitcoin still unpredictable and we don't know when the price can increase higher like in the last year so we need to buy more bitcoin to be prepared for the higher price.

I believe btc may not able to reach the $20k goal for this year and I think it is too much for now. I think the ideal goal could be at $10k USD for this end of 3rd quarter. Since the current market is starting to move in uptrend movement,  there will be more people that will be encourage to invest in btc.

Yes, I believe that Bitcoin is going to rise to $20,000 again, and even more. Specialist has predicted that it would hit $50,000 or maybe eve $300,000 and I believe that it definitely will happen. We just have to be patient, and wait for it to happen. Hopefully, by the end of this year or the beginning of next year, we should see it experiencing a bullish trend.

I think that it may go over 20k but it is not going to happen this year because the people are trapped into the highs of january and that is marking the season. The trading activity is quite intense, even when BTC drops in value and even many play with short positions it is very likely that someone who bough at 5000 will sell at around 7000, and that is enhanced by people who bought at 7000 and are eager to close their positions since many months ago.

To be honest, I don't think it will go up to $20,000 again. It is not showing any signs and the activity and dominance is not that high compared to what happened last year. Also, there's not a lot of new investors that will create hype for BTC. We all know that old investors tend to play safe while new investors are willing to take the risk and has a high capital. Sometimes the less we know the better so we can risk or gamble.

I was thinking that 20K was too much at the moment, probably 12K or something like that by the end of the year would be a good price for bitcoin to have, after all, it experienced a tremendous drop lately so it may be natural to think that it's growth won't be tremendous like some other times.

It is becoming very unlikely, even with a high dominance the fact is that the market has been deflacting for months now and it is showing signs of clear decay.

I just hope bitcoin doesn't fall in price. when the end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018 are at a real peak. currently it is at $ 6500. I think it won't get to that point this year, maybe by 2019 that could be possible, bitcoin seems kind of stagnant at the moment and I think it will continue like that for a few months.

Just the matter of time until the bitcoin will have reached its maximum supply. That means if the bitcoin can increase more than before. 20k looks easy consider about the fact that there will be only 21 millions bitcoin and no more. As per the next difficulty increase and this will push the price of bitcoin again.

Well i think only time can tell the price to rise up high we can't really predict the price because price is not depending on one person or maybe company only it is depending on the volume in the market place. Investors are really valuable on crypto because they can cause the price change.

I think we will not see it rise up again. Everyday thousand coins are born. They make the price of BTC lower. Some coins of projects are dead. They are out of business. People leave the crypto market more everyday.

I think that it is definitely going to pass $20,000 and probably even more. We saw bitcoin hit its all time high at the beginning of the year, and then later went down for as low as $6,000. I believe that despite the challenged it had had these few months, there is going to be a sound of triumph sooner than later, and this coin is going to hit the moon.

Yes. I'm 100% sure BTC can pass again 20$k. But I think it will happen in 2020 or 2021. 2018 is the very very bad year to the crypto. The whole market is like a bearish market. Bitcoin, of course, will grow up to 20,000 dollars, and up to 50,000 dollars, and will grow even higher. But there is also a small probability, and the fall of bitcoin.

We couldn't make sure that it would gonna hit a value or price of $20,000 but it has also the possibility to make it happen though it may takes time to happen. I'm betting that it will rise above 20k by a lot sometime in the future and so will altcoins.

I was expecting $3000 this year based on the performance of last few years. But the performance this year had been very disappointing. Still $20000 is achievable, if we have a bull run like last year, we may achieve higher also.

One thing that can help to this is limiting the number of alt coins. It has already started to happen with exchanges delisiting some coins.

I can tell you that 99.99% of the community members are still remembering those hectic days. I personally expect it to be back in two years.

many crypto expert are also predicted that bitcoin will go beyond $20000, maybe it will hit $30,000 to $40,000. you can read some article regarding the prediction of possible price of bitcoin this year.

In my opinion, this is a very high goal to achieve this year. Like most people (at least in my opinion) think, I think the price of BTC will reach $15K to $18K by the end of the year. But that's my opinion and we only have to wait and see.

I think BTC will not be able to pass ATH 20000$. Looking at the current market is down steep but BTC will rebound back to 10000$

My opinion is that if ETF is approved then it is very possible for the bitcoin to reach a new time all high because once it is approved new investors will enter the space which will make the price of bitcoin to go high.

Seeing the rate of the Bitcoin right now, I think that it may be difficult to reach agin $20k. In my opinion, the price of the Bitcoin will not be as high as the price in the last year in this end year. It may be still low, although increasing from now. With $20k, Bitcoin marketcap will be less than 4400 Billion. This marketcap is pretty easy to be touched by Bitcoin. So, yes I would say BTC will definitely reach $20k again but in what time interval will depend upon many other factors like Government regulations, media and news, institutional investors etc etc. Cryptos still have millions of potential investors and if they finally join cryptos, then I would say $50k is not far away.

Why do people keep on asking the same question? This kind of questions has been asked tons of time and the replies were the same. The value of bitcoin will eventually rise, but when it will happen can not be predicted by anyone. You just have to believe in bitcoin and keep holding it as long as you can. Eventually in the long run it will get to reach a new all time high price.

If someone could have a right prediction a first, you never can tell if the prediction will work again. Well, the expectation of almost everyone is to see bitcoin skyrocket again, but who can tell what the price would be.

If everything falls into place like what happened last year the $20,000 is very much possible. Last years run made 300% increase from $3,500 to $19,500. So if this years run will be a repeat then price of Bitcoin will just breeze through $20,000 at current price of $6,900 to $28,000 if its the same 300% increase just like last year.

I personally think that updating the historical maximum is quite possible, if the SEC will make a positive decision on ETF. A new high will begin and we will see a possible and higher price.

Although the price of the market is always difficult to predict, for BTC I think 20K is only a temporary ATH. If we are willing to believe and wait, then I think 20K is only the beginning, and the price after BTC must be much higher than 20K.

If to talk by the end of this year than it can go up to 20-22k not more. It is not so easy to reach that point. Market needs a good news + a lot of whales to move the market to the 20k. It is really hard work, but this goal will be achieved in December-January.

Of course it will. I have no doubt that BTC will even pass 100k USD in a few years. Maybe even sooner than we expect.

Even if its going to pass $20k, it would take a long period of time to get to that peak. It cannot just skyrocket from where it is currently to $20k overnight.

Your mother don't hold bitcoin so she can say whatever she wanted to say and of course, she wants to discourage you. All time high's are coming unexpectedly so if you think that it will, it will. Don't think too much with what your mom said, just continue to hold and keep on trading bitcoin and as much as possible keep on holding it so no matter what happens you'll also rise when it starts to get back there.

Well, in my opinion, the price of the Bitcoin will seem to be hard to reach again $20.000 in this end of the 2018.
I think that if the price can hit $10k, it has been very grateful. The price of all cryptocurrencies right now are very down. We cannot stop that falling. Hence, I think, it may hit around $10.000

It is more than likely that BITCOIN reaches its ATH again because it is not surreal to think that it can even overcome those 20K without problem but it is impossible to predict when it can happen again.

If the SEC approves ETF on Bitcoin on September 30 we can easily see  $ 25K for BTC until the end of Year and total market value at $1 trillion. If that happens many institutional money will enter the market which is waiting now on sidelines for approval.

There is a possibility that BTC will be worth more than 20 000 USD by the end of this year. At least two factors can contribute to this. The first factor is the approval of ETF, the second factor is the launch of the sale of new video cards. In my opinion, these are two important factors that should influence the growth in the price of military-technical cooperation.

Yes, Bitcoin will get pass twenty thousand dollars later in the future,  but right now,  the prices is not going anywhere and we will have to endure the bear market until there is a reason enough good news that will propel market in positive direction!

i think it's all takes the time. same as btc prices, we know that crypto prices are not stable. therefore, we must be patient to wait until the BTC price rises again and stabilizes. the most important thing is that we must be able to manage our crypto assets well so that we can avoid the big losses.

I do not think that bitcoin will reach $ 20000 again at least by the end of the year 2018. It will sit at around $ 12000. And in 2019, it will reach $ 18000. I don't know about whether or not the price of Bitcoin exceeds what you are talking about. What is certain is that I am sure Bitcoin is starting to experience this increase even though little by little. I don't think we will ever know what will happen later. in 2017 there are many factors why eth and bitcoin can achieve enormous value. one of them is at the level of a new lightning network.

When i learn more about history of price of Bitcoin since 2010 , i have idea if the price possible to going up to 100 times more in the future, and for next year price of Bitcoin will surpass $20k and i predict it according to market cap and total supply of Bitcoin, and also technical and fundamental analysis. I think the total market cap is higher this year compared to the same point last year and for the Q4 2017 bull run to take BTC to 20k USD  i think a similar bull run this year will take it beyond the 20k mark and to high price. In my opinion, if we talk about Bitcoin, maybe we won't find competitors in terms of volatility. Everyone in the community will at least try to possess even a small amount. And I think when a significant new community has increased, I think Bitcoin has a potential far greater than 20k.

What we are doing is similar to the time period between 2014-2017. Bitcoin is going to sleep for a while. People will slowly lose interest and hope. $20k buyers will start to dump their hodlings and whales will increase their stash, again slowly. This takes time.

It's not just whales olaying with us...whales have an interest in high prices just like everyone. I don't believe in all the conspiracy theories...just look at the facts. People lost interest in crypto, volumes are low, fewer people are buying/selling crypto and not enough people are using crypto for buying goods.

For this year, I don't think that bitcoin will reach 20k anymore. This decline will take place in a long time. i think your mother was right and you should listen to her, i really appreciate your mother's opinion about bitcoin. as my observation to the last market situation i can agree with your mother that bitcoin's price will never reach its all time high price anymore, not in the near future. but it might break and make the new all time high price in the last of 2022. And between now until 2022 the price will always stable in approx $6000 - $9000. i think now is a good time for us to buy bitcoin and hold it in long term period.
