 To some extent we can predict if bitcoin is going to recover before before December this year but I doubt if ethereum and some of it tokens will recover before December. Before December lasy year, when bitcoin is getting pump ethereum will also be getting pump but I see bitcoin going up now and ethereum is getting dumping.

Firstly, the capital which is already close for the weekend could be the cause of Ethereum currently dump and I will also advice you not to compare ethereum last year bullish movement with this year because the Ethereum is currently facing some network challenge. How ever, bitcoin wont recover this year so is ethereum either but they will surely make some pump in price.

Will return to growth yes, but not to last year's indicators. So you can not doubt the future of this coin, but for some others there are fears.

I am really aware of this fact and I think bitcoin has a better way to get pump this year than ethereum.  We are almost close to the end of the year and ethereum keep going down and that is actually my worries. I have been following this market and it has never happened before for this long.

so what is the reason you think December is pumping month? Speculation or prediction are for fun, because nobody actually knows what is going on.

But for me if we will look at past of etherum pumps and downs it looks like in near months it will go up again, for me till the end of this year it will come back on green.

I am sure the ehereum price will recover before December, seeing the movement that starts to rise slowly and it can be said that BTC prices are stabilizing. So I am optimistic that the ethereum price will recover before December

It depends on many factors, one of them being the price of Bitcoin. If it goes up then you can bet altcoins will follow the uptrend, if it doesn't then we'll have to wait for another altcoin cycle, where alts can recover without caring about the btc price.

I think it'll recover, we've been in an uptrend for the past few days, if this trend continues there might be a shift in market sentiment which will definitly pump the prices up.

I have great doubts too on the fact that ethereum will return to former marks, not to mention doubling of the price.

To be honest. Ethereum to pump in price is not certain because Ethereum are still lacking behind other smart contract and dapp project and when I predicted this to happen to Ethereum last year people thought i dont know what I'm saying out or I'm saying it just to manipulate the market.

Ethereum will recover if the bitcoin recover too. I hope not in december I hope as soon as possible the price of the ethereum will pump again like 1400 dollars each and more than 5k dollars before end of this year 2018. December last yeat 2017 have good effect to cryptocurrency because most of the coins are pumped on that year.

Most coins recovering will depend on the price of bitcoins or ether and it is very important to note that the market is still bearish and by October if the market still behaves like this then it means that the year will end with the market down.

I think the possibility of the recovering of ethereum is almost impossible in this year. But I believe that many investors can decide to invest in more in the beginning of the new year and we can maybe see it on new record levels.

I totally agree with the last part wherein it is quite odd that ETH didn't pump when BTC does. Well, it is very hard to predict what will happen in December of this year but yes if in case that BTC will pump just like last year then all coins will follow. I think we need news about crpyto I mean good news because that's one of the factor that may help this industry to grow.

When the people start to get optimistic again looking at the rise of the Bitcoin and the end of the bear market, many will get greedy and target a higher reward than the 2x-3x the Bitcoin can offer in the short term to reach the ATH.

When this happens, many tokens and coins that have lost 90%+ and have a 20x+ of growth potential may see an explosive flood of money like last year's, and with ETH, which may offer a 4x+ growth, not so explosive but the same.

I also hope that ethereum will recover. I'm starting to think if I will exchange my ethereum to bitcoin because bitcoin is showing recovery while ethereum doesn't seem to move.

ETH will recover for sure. Anyone doubting this will surely miss out. Just do enough research and look at the facts and you will see why Ethereum is the 2nd largest coin by market capitalization alone, even without considering the superior technology, excellent development team, etc.

this is what I doubt and fear, now I have held several eth for the long term. but now that doubt arises and I am confused between holding it or swapping it into another coin  ???

Sadly, with the ways things are, it can be impossible for Eth to get back to its $700+ level before the year ends. This is just my personal opinion though and I can be happy to be wrong since I also have some Eth stacked somewhere safe and sound. Now, we are all hoping that something dramatic can prop up the value of this cryptocurrency. The demand is still there because ICOs are still good though this might not be sustainable especially as we are going into 2019. I am predicting big changes in the ICO market by 2019...a sort of a mini-revolution. The ICO market is playing a big part in the life of the Eth. We can only hope, speculate, predict and maybe get some laugh at the same time. Good luck to all of us!

Ethereum was indeed at the sweet spot to buy but that does not justify its recovering this year and to me the ethereum excellent development team you mention are currently falling behind because the are not working effective as before.

Bitcoin should start pumping now, so we can say that we will see a great price of ETH on December. But if its no, yeah don't expect bitcoin to be on a good position if this technology don't grow this month. But of course don't worry, because even if we don't see huge price this year, there is next year that can make this market grow higher. I expect bitcoin to hit $10k again this year, and ETH will hit $500 again, hopefully. :)

I think if Bitcoin prices will rise before December then other altcoins will also go up, we can see that the rise and fall of Bitcoin affects other altcoins. We also know that ethereum is the platform of most ICOs, if Ethereum also increases in value due to the increase in Bitcoin prices. then the ICO that uses the Ethereum platform will also go up, hopefully all goes as we expected.

I do not think it will be recovered before December. I know that you and other traders are losing money over time and that really makes you uncomfortable. But when you are determined to invest, hold it in the long run. I think that by 2020 the price of ETH can return $ 500 per coin. so be patient.

i believe that ethereum gonna rise in this year end bullrun and hit 500$. but this rising it's gonna be on a slow paced. like we all can see in a past few days this rising was quite slow

I believe on ETH too, so I think this great coin will rise again. The market needs to recover first so we can confirm that ETH will grow more. Well, if this market don't rise at the end of the year it is still ok because we still have more time to grow and to improve in this technology. Smart contracts aren't stopping and there are decentralized markets that are mainly focused with ethereum market so that will recover for sure.

You have to take into account the fact that most ICOs still
have not cashed out their ICO proceeds. In the end none of them
want to keep ETH and they all want to exchange their ICO proceeds
to BTC or to fiat. This is putting a lot of downward pressure on the price
and this prevents a bull run from happening.

I think neither ethereum nor all the market can recover before end of 2019. Because bitcoin went up very quickly from 600 to 20000 so it will go down

Ethereum will recover in December because Vitalik Buterin will propose a limit on the number of ETH releases. Setting the limit for ETH issuance will certainly make ETH attractive to investors.

I think, its not all about Buterin the founder of ETH but for us who are keep on supporting even we are bored enough to see sunrise. Investors and users are very important in this field, without them/us, definitely crypto won't be like this or even survive for this long dips. Eth will sure to pump as BTC will pump with in.

I don't think ETH can recover in 2018. 2018 is a correction year and it is difficult for this market to go up. And if the bull market is strong enough, ETH will probably go up to 400-500$, but if you expect a price of around 1000$ then you need to wait for at least another year.

Ethereum will recover, but not as good as in 2017, it is likely that Erhereum will increase gradually and at the end of this year the ethereum price is $ 700 - $ 900. I doubt that this year there will be a surge like last year.

IMHO Eth price can recover with the quantity of new ICO's. Now, this quantity is very poor so the ETH price will be lower. Also, they're going to be new great update with POS and sharding, if this happens at last price can go very high.

The relationship between ethereum and bitcoin is slowly separating but not in a good way for ethereum which is getting dumped right now. It used to be pegged at a lower price point but it appears that bitcoin is steaming ahead while ethereum is heading into the abyss. Probably due to competition from LISK and NEO which is offering a better platform at a lower price

Of course i really have hope they will be much more than 300$ at the end of this year, but it is really hard for ETH to rise more than double at the end of this year, moreover, ETH is being dumped faster than pumping so i guess we are not safe until we see more bigger pumps in the future.

Ethereum is a very good and promising coin and I think with the very good potentials and promising feature that it has, it will definitely recover before December and I can see that it is gradually rise and as long as there is higher supply for it, it will rise and the bull run will make it better.

If the BTC start to recover then ETH and all other Alt coins will start going up. We only have just 3-4 months to end this year. So it is hard to say that the market will rise again as it did last year.

Techologically ethereum is falling behind. The sharding solution is not a real scaling solution. If the ethereum network wants to achieve hundreds of transactions per second (TPS) they must implement masternodes.
As for the price, I dont believe it will ever return to Q4 2017 levels. The price was pumped by all these scam ICOs which are now practically dead. Almost no one invests in ICOs anymore, its the best way to become a bagholder.

No one can tell what will ethereum will be in decembernif it's going to move up or not. From the start of this year we have a lot of experience of down trend and bear market is still on going so it's hard to say if we have a good price by the end of the year.

The market pattern this year is not working the same as last year but if there is a big rally in winter months, then ethereum is one of the top coins to recover alongwith bitcoin.

you don't know before. the market is still unsafe and every day new scam icos are added. and investors have lost confidence. many have also lost 70-90% of their money and will not invest any more. i think it will not be easy to reach the eth again $1000

Every hodlers are hoping for this one, but we are still not sure about this one. ETH is a good coin, I hold some of this one but I'm not setting any expectation about ETH this year, no matter what the price is I will continue to hold. A limit on the supply of ETH will rise the competition in the market for the coins and this competition eventually results in a high demand which pushes up the market value of ETH. A market is dynamic and the equilibrium condition is always there but the market takes time to recover. Bitcoin is the market leader and should lead the market recovery followed by other top altcoins including Ethereum. Not sure but chances are market has bottomed and is slowly recovering already so just need to wait and see how high it goes over time.

Seeing bitcoin moving with some good momentum upward but nothing serious will actually make us to see the altcoins doing some pretty good movement upward as the case may be. As we all know, most of the altcoins tend to do well when bitcoin is an upward consolidation mode as that gives some fresh air and breathe into the altcoin space.

Ethereum in this case would also tend to have a choice to do some movement upward but at the same time, I would certainly not still reserve the opinion that the bears are still around. moreover I am still trying to wonder where a lot of people are seeing pumps from in the bitcoin market. I would not be so optimistic yet until I see bitcoin go above $8000 and close above it with a very good volume which would change sentiments to bullish and bring about participation by smart investors.

Whether Ethereum will recover before December or not is only best known in time and no one can state categorically what would end up happening as long as we cannot see the future.

I think it will not happen in December because this downtrend is a very strong downtrend. So, I never think, ETH will recovering before this December. Definitely, It will be recovering in near the future. But now it very difficult to happen. So my advice is to be patient. The spring session coming soon. My target is the ETH will hit 1000$ in mid of 2019.

I think investors are now starting to move their assets to bitcoin, because for now only bitcoin can move up even though it is a little slow, ethereum and other altcoins are now moving very slowly, what I fear is they all sell coins but hopefully with the rise of bitcoin now making other altcoins also rise rapidly

You've just answered your own question but you have the doubt that it will not go up this year specifically this December hype, well ETH bleeds a lot because of the ICO dumps as most of the tokens are paired with Eth you may realize that the number of ICO's are increasing this year but we know not all of them will succeed some of them are bunch of scammers, failures and abandoned projects but Eth never fails to deliver its bull run learn from its past prices.

Now the price of bitcoin is slightly increasing,so it will reflect in the price of Ethereum. This may be due to increased in investors .Last year the price of bitcoin reached unexpected raise.And it was reflected in Ethereum too.In this December,we may face huge raise in the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum.Now the price of bitcoin and Ethereum is very low,the new investors use this to buy now to get huge profit.

When we see the price drop in yesterday I think it is very hard to keep hopes about a recovery in ETH price. All the coins dropped huge yesterday. Still, I don't know the reason.

I do not know where you saw the price increase, because now the price is comparable to the price that was more than 1 year ago and in such conditions it is wrong to assume a price increase, it is worth considering all possible outcomes...

Your faith and trust will give something in rewards in the future. Though we don't have any assurance of bringing back crypto market into stabilize price trend but we believe there is a room for that and enlighten us. 

everyone still wants ethereum to recover, that means there are still many people who hold eth and have not sold it. therefore trust for eth remains high and I am sure eth can recover, but by moving slowly.

I don't know what do you mean by "recover" because remember Ethereum's value last year, Everyone who got a year or 2 years earlier is still very happy with their investment - assuming they haven't sold yet. But it all depends on the market and we only have to sit and watch from the sidelines carefully.

Nope there will no recovery happening this year.we are in the bad shape of market and price increase is not in the act of giving us a good profit like what had happened last quarter of 2017

Well said but you must understand that the cryptocurrency market has not been impressive since the beginning of the year to this point in time. Even Bitcoin that has on few occasions risen up has done that for a very brief period. What I understand and strongly believe is that Ethereum will recover before December although the recovery may not be so impressive as one would have loved it to be.

it cannot be predicted when ethereum will return high, but we can expect ethereum to grow optimally in the next few months because we know that in December December all prices can grow high and maximum so I think this can be expected to grow high again.

I don't think if the same scenario last year would happen this December, bitcoin last december and January 2018 hit the $20,000 and also ethereum hit the highest price of it.

Nobody knows when Ethereum will recover. It will take this entire market to recover to make it bullish again. Maybe bitcoin ETF approval will be the catalyst.

It has been disappointing to see ETH value going down. No idea why ETH value faced this situation unlike bitcoin. Just look at the growth trend of Bitcoin and ETH. When bitcoin value spiked up, ETH value would spike up and the trend will reflect on systems after 24 hours. ETH value is expected grow based on its small contracts let out in the market. Hope the trend come back on track very soon. Expect the ETH value to be at $350 by December 2018.

Yes but to the extend. I predict the value would hit minimum $300 to $400. Etherium's small contracts should support its value grow to reach the minimum value said. Last dump was unexpected. Bitcoin value spiked up a little bit but Ether value started to dip so fast. We did not expect the value fall below $200 and none know the reason behind it. Ether is one of the best potential coin to invest. We can just utilize this situation to buy more ETH. This is what we can do to support the coin. 

I doubt if Cryptocurrency will recover before December 2018.
I analyze that the price of Cryptocurrency since the beginning of the year has experienced a lot of decline until this month, Cryptocurrency is still often experiencing price declines due to the volatile nature of Cryptocurrency.
I think Cryptocurrency takes longer to recover and rise again.

IMO, the recovery of Ethereum in the future is a sure thing but to be able to confirm that ETH will recover in December 2018 is very difficult. ETH's current price is at $ 196 and will continue to decline if the market does not have a positive change. So this time just wait.

I think the price of the ethereum case can not be so much higher than that of december  since the loss of altcoins today is considerably higher.

I think that all people are hoping that we will have another bull run in December, just like we had last year. But at the same time many people will start selling when the prices start to increase, in order to not face the decrease in price that followed after the bull run. So i think we will have some increases in the price of crypto( including Ethereum), but not at the same level as it happened last December.

I am sure yes ETH will certainly recover back to its normal track. It may hit minumum $400 by end of this year. As like other crypto currencies, ETHer value as well has gone down this year and this trend has become normal. The small contracts Etherium has taken should support ether value grow threefold the value than the current value. Hope ETH value comes back on track this month.

i cant see the possibilities for both ethereum and bitcoin price will recover until the end of 2018, the price will shown stagnant between $200 - $500 for ethereum and $6000 - $9000 for bitcoin price. this fall will last until the beginning of 2019, and than the bull will come after the end of Q1 in 2019. But, There will no the new all time high price to reach until the beginning of 2020, than bitcoin and etherum price will pump and break the last all time high price record.

I am sure and optimistic that ethereum always has the chance to recover faster than everyone had expected, I am sure and optimistic that before December ethereum prices will reach $ 500 so that buying now at a low price then we get a big profit.

    I have similar opinion, we can't expect prices to reach new ATH before 2020.

   People expect too much from crypto-currencies. I'm not one of them! I planned
to wait years with my investments before I invested. This drop is kinda good for me,
I will have time to buy some more crypto-currencies with very low prices. I bought

Ive been talking this thing about ethereum in many of this thread here that ethereum will bounce back this october or before the start of the next year. The whales might get tired at all in playing the crypto market and will start to control the value of ethereum upward.

Well if ETH is going to recover, I think ETH in 2017 shouldn't not be compare directly with ETH in 2018. There was a massive pump last year, that lead to the increase in the value of ethereum and every other coin associated with it. So it is possible for ETH to still gather some weight this year but getting back to $1000 is almost not possible. But who knows what might happen in the next minute? Anything can still happen and this is cryptocurrency for crying out loud, so let's hope for the best.

May be December but December of 2019. ETH falls for a month and from 400$ it has fallen to 170$. Everytime the expectations for ETH rise this year are broken. ETH will continue to be dumped and at the lowest price under 100$ in 6-12 months

Normally when bitcoin price pumps then automatically Ethereum price also pumps, but current situation is just opposite to that. Even though bitcoin price shows its pump Ethereum price goes to dump. Are you serious? I do my trades on kucoin and these last two weeks was one of the biggest break for ETH. You may also compare the price movement on coinmarketcap for ETH vs BTC, you will see there that ETH gains bigger and faster than BTC. It is not impossible for ETH to reach above $500 by the end of the year or before December specially if BTC reaches above $10,000 this year.

High chance to recover ethereum before end of thid yeat 2018 or in the month of december. Not only ethereum who possible to increase the value because most of the coins or altcoins or tokens can possible to pump too. So better if you buy more ethereum or other coins and prefer to earn more money during the december when the market will recover.

ETH looks start going up slowly. More special thing is it is bouncing from a good support level. Sooner we will able to see ETH above $500. But it will take some times to reach the previous ATH level.
