If Sec accept Bitcoin ETF , we can expect the huge bull run for the market .
What do you think ? Will Sec accept bitcoin ETF ?

No one can say for sure ,I'm not sure myself but with ETF we can expect a very high bull run ,what can we do except to wait and see ,hoping for the best, ETF is the only shot bitcoin have left this year ending

no, SEC will most probably reject this ETF and any new ETF in the near future for about a year or two and will not change their stance against bitcoin and its ETFs anytime soon.

and no even if they approve this ETF there will not be any "big" bull runs because you can not change the trend with a simple news. what you can do is that the news can speed up the process. for example now we are in a fixed trend of accumulation then soon after a small rise followed by testing of resistance. and then we have bull run if the resistance is broken.
what positive news can do at this point is that it can speed up the accumulation to reach its end and the "small" rise to begin.

Well, it is not easy to guess.

But even if they don't, at some point they will approve some application. It is just matter of time nothing more.

In simple terms,SEC will not approve BITCOIN ETF because big exchanges have not agreed to the terms and conditions given by SEC.SEC knows that if the big exchanges  controlling  greater volume of bitcoin traded  are regulated and checkmate,this will result in solving the issues of manipulation to a reasonable extent.
But as it stands,the big exchanges have not agreed to the terms and  conditions given by SEC.We have seen big exchanges using high leverage ,and if they see they are not in profit,they manipulate the price of btc by liquidating the fund of those that short or long btc.SEC thinks the manipulation has created unfair trading ground for average traders,and they think rights of average traders have been undermined.
On the other hand,Some exchanges have not allocated fund to pay their investors incase of  unforseen circumstances of which we have seen many traders loose money whenever exchange is hacked.From my own point of view,SEC will not approve BITCOIN ETF bcs of unregulatory and volatility nature of btc.SEC also thinks the investors funds are not protected if big exchange keep on manipulating and using reported volume.

Bitcoin ETF approval does not automatically translate to a bull run for all cryptocurrencies. The market is largely unpredictable.
But a piece of supposed good news is very welcome and if it's well received by institutional investors, the price would surely surge.
I don't know if it would be a sustained pump.

With the series of rejections I am not too optimistic about the chances of acceptance. And for good reason.

We've been talking about this for months. I don't believe you'il approve. We're tired of waiting for him to approve. I honestly don't think the price will rise much even if it confirms it. The SEC seems to be awaiting development on a few issues.

They won't, at least not for now. Also, the crypto community has had enough of the constant delays, that's why the hype around a bitcoin etf has died down.

They (SEC) don't like the idea that there's a lot of people, those from the early days of bitcoin, who are holding big amounts of btc and can potentially manipulate the prices. I don't doubt that there'll be a day when the SEC will give up and just follow the trend, but for now, it is very unlikely that a Bitcoin ETF will get approved any time soon.

In the short-term future? No, they will not, alongside any other future ETF proposals, too. The reason they will always blurt out is that it can be used as a vehicle for fraud and it cannot be easily regulated, as platforms don't always comply with what the SEC needs should ETFs be approved. Oddly so, they are somewhat in favor of some past ETFs but it ended up in a straight-up rejection, so as it stands, even the slickest proposal and application would still be rejected too.

if a bitcoin ETF is accepted I think it will definitely happen, but I don't know when the announcement is too many versions of the news is the last news I know if the Bitcoin ETF will be announced next year

I guess its time to move on and don't put the attention to it as it will bring a bull run in the market. There's more other better way to see the market on bull again.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has scheduled to make the official announcement on nine separate Bitcoin exchange traded funds (ETFs). I believe they could take more time make any comment of ETFs which is a good sign. It's true that the SEC is taking more time with the application for approvals which can be considered an excellent sign.

SEC will eventually approve bitcoin ETF. The key question is how soon will this come? Currently the enemies of the people fear power may shift from their hands, because government needs money to have real power otherwise she is handicap. They feel should fund be let loose on the bitcoin market, the people will become rich like them and they may loose control over the key sectors. How long will these "Mafias"  continue to block the ETF is what I can't tell.

If it were to approve the BITCOIN ETF, this would be an excellent opportunity for the Crypto market to return to its orbit after months. I realized that this would be a significant turning point in Crypto. I believe the SEC will accept Bitcoin. All investors will come back and continue to push the bull market up.

I Think If (SEC) has approved ETF for Bitcoin does not increase the price of Bitcoin. and it’s hard to see the price increase.

i think and strongly believe SEC will approve bitcoin ETF anytime soon. They are only trying to review things very closely because once bitcoin ETF is approved, big investors will rush in and SEC does not want these big investors loosing money at all.

But still it will also stop those periodic pumps and dumps related to the SEC approval of ETF, many people buy bitcoin when the SEC hearing date is close and the price artificially pumps and when it gets postponed again the price dumps and this have happened a lot of times in the past that it has just become a trend for me and it doesn't surprise me now while watching this phenomenon. So if the ETF is accepted and this will move bitcoin into another market and people will be having more options then I think the bitcoin price will definitely rise.

This is just a talking point for greedy capitalists who want to follow the price to buy and sell bitcoin.

We really say for certain if SEC will approve any ETF, but you need to ask yourself, is this market manipulated? If you answer YES, then there's no way that we will get approval. Maybe its imminent, but not this year though. If you're expecting a massive bull run similar to 2017 it won't happen as well even if ETF is approve because investors are smarter now, they won't simply buy any news at all.

I believe the approval of ETFs by the SEC is only a matter of time. There will be a change in one of the SEC commissioners who is opposed to ETFs and this could be a good prospect for their approval.

I don't think the positive answer will come. The decision will certainly affect the price and we will see jointly how much the price will move. The problem is the disappearance of the theme of the decision, because price will win back at the end.

It's also my belief. According to CBOE spokesmen their ETF has met all SEC requirements, so if it is denied it will have to based on some yet unknown and unexpected, biased reasons. They are delaying it to understand what they're dealing with, probably virtual assets are too much for them. But they approved some futures in the past, including Bitcoin futures, so they have to understand it. Why are they buying time then? Maybe to prolong the bear market?

most likely indeed the SEC will eventually approve the Bitcoin ETF, because if not, they should have done it a while ago, so information about the rejected Bitcoin ETF is only a game of insiders who want to take steps before the bull run.    Everyone are hoping for such approval by SEC. yes, it will turn around the market from Bear to Bull... In my opinion such approval would give the high consumer's confidence for investment in crypto market, the possible shift of investors from stock market to crypto market, it will be a welcome and good news for a lot of investors in the market once this was approved.

Undoubtedly, the SEC will approve the Bitcoin ETF because it cannot go against scientific technological progress. At the same time, the SEC will most likely delay the decision to launch the ETF to study the issues of cryptocurrency and the blockchain more carefully. One thing is for sure, that they will accept Bitcoin ETF but that will happen lately in 2018. The battle on SEC approval of Bitcoin ETF has be won half way, the outcome of the next meeting will determine the final result which to me will be positive. I heard SEC won't process any bitcoin ETH application anymore because it will need long time to approving that.

I think that this year the SEC will not approve of ETF. My opinion is that the need for ETF is greatly exaggerated. I think that now it is much more important to popularize the blockchain among the population of the planet and to adopt the correct laws.

Bitcoin Exchange Traded Funds is not the only factor that cause a bull run in cryptocurreny market but other things such as the way investors sees bitcoins as an investment asset or how government and legal authorities reacts to bitcoins.

SEC will approve anything related to btc, but only if it's financially reasonable for SEC. So it's possible in 2019, but hardly until crypto bottoms in.

I think the SEC will not approve the ETF in 2019, until Bitcoin becomes a widely popular cryptocurrency in the whole world and does not find its use in financial state structures.

Yeah, I can see your point and I agree with that. ETF is just another one of those news that people hype. Even if it gets approved, nothing will really change. Bitcoin is still in development mode where people might not accept it, not to mention what happened last year which gives a bad look at Bitcoin.

I do not get your point. Are you saying if the bitcoin ETF is accepted that it would not skyrocket the price of bitcoin? I do not believe you! What moves the market is NEWS. And that  ETF will be a great news whenever it happens. It will push price out of reach like the gold ETF did years ago.

Well i can't really say for sure but from the current updates that are popping up in the crypto comunity and the approvals that are coming from different countries across the world there is hope that SEC will approve of this so let's keep fingers crossed and hope for the best someday.

In fact China has imposed repeatedly strict regulations on cryptocurrency and that adds new which the China ban crypto airdrops for the reason that the Crypto Airdrops are for disguised ICO projects which the country do not like the ICO based projects results that more of it are scam. If this only ICO projects will be controlled and monitor then probably it will be lesser on having a scam activities. This should bitcoin will look after for all the projects are under bitcoin organization. Should bitcoin organization made a screening for this ICO project? It should be necessary to minimize ICO scam projects.

But, we do not really know what is the score between ICO projects and bitcoin. For now, Bitcoin has been focused only on the development of system which for now more people are launching ICO projects without getting screen from any body of concerning agency like the government or the bitcoin organization itself. So ICO led projects will have a greater chance on scamming its investors and this is what is happening right now.

So, how the ETF be approve? If it will be approve then cryptocurrency will be subject for modifications and that probably removing the anonymous features. Legalizing it like the stock market exchange did. This will help promote the cryptocurrency system and hopefully it will be like that.

I read from some news and articles that the deadline for the review about Bitcoin's ETF will be on February 27, 2019, and I don't really think that they will approve this because they stand firm on what they believe about the manipulations of Crypto Currencies through exchanges and about those pump and dump group that circulates in telegram. Bullrun might happen even without that ETF thing but it only depends on the community's hyping and way of thinking, if the majority of the Crypto Community thinks and believes that the Value of Bitcoin might increase and the majority of the people keeps on hodling the price of Bitcoin has a very high chance to increase because of this same idea phenomenon.

Seriously. a positive news might affect Bitcoin's value and negative news affects it too just like we have seen the past years and months. Maybe they would eventually approve it but we don't know for sure when would that happen. There are still so many speculation as to how bitcoin and other altcoin should be treated that's why the stance of SEC when it comes to ETF is still doubtful. Regarding the huge bull run, it may happen when there is an announcement of its approval but I would rather see the price slowly go up than a pump because if its the case then there would a dump afterwards which is not an organic growth.

I am sure that in the future ETF will accept bitcoin and when the receipt occurs when the price of bitcoin will experience a fantastic increase. But I also agree with your opinion that there is a very high increase suddenly so it will be accompanied by a similar decline. That way, I would expect a gradual increase compared to pumping for a moment because of an event.

Naaah. An increase is probable for a short time though not as many would prefer. Etf doesn't really do anything sognificant to btc. An approval or denial would spike up speculations that would move the price but only on a temporary basis.

i would have agreed with you a couple of months ago as the market was not ready for a rise yet and we still had the stability phase ahead of us. but now we are nearly done with that phase and the market is starting to get ready for the rise.
long story short WITHOUT ETF, price will rise soon. WITH ETF, that rise will happen faster.

About that news we just need to waiting unti the day come, I known from telegram channel that ETF decision will be delay until February 2019. I believe if that is approved will support technical trading to bouncing at least it will hit $10k.

Yes it could be! Since bitcoin is depending on news, there is a probability that it may go upward trend. I expect also when ETF, everything goes on towards my bias. However, when it will be? During the past months, SEC always extend its arm in regulating Bitcoin ETF. I think they will never made that right this month but we will wait for another couple of months before the result.

Well everyone is still awaiting the sec decision on bitcoin etf to be the wait has gone on for rather to long but am optimistic that the out come will be one that would spore a raise in price of bitcoin

In response to this,I think SEC will not  approve bitcoin ETF because they know the biggest exchanges controlling the highest volume of trade have not agreed to comply with SEC directives.
As a result ,SEC made it categorically crystal clear that approving bitcoin etf in America will affect the  American investors because the biggest exchanges are not from America.
On the other hand,we have witnessed how group of whales manipulate the market to their favour just because many of them bought btc at the time it was cheap.SEC is not comfortable with the manipulation and exchanges where those manipulation are carried out have in any way put proactive measures to stop it.
However,we have seen many developers saying that US must not participate on its ICOS just because they are afraid of being regulated ,and all these are reasons why SEC is delaying bitcoin ETF.
So,for me in particular, I don't see SEC approving bitcoin etc.

There is lots of post and discussion about SEC ETF approval. I don't think so that you have to create new topic. Please always use search button before you post any new thread. However although you will get lots of answer but it's seems to me ETF drama. Just they are changing the date and people's became confused. I think whales are bought enough Bitcoin since it was nearly 3K. So we can expect something positive near future. But I really don't believe SEC. They are just promissing during long time but nothing happen. Let's see on January if BAKKT approved means it's positive for others. Hope everything will well.

the truth is no one really knows for sure if SEC will approve ETF now or later. it has taken so much time but then we hope soon enough a good decision willl be taken which will favour bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large. The time will come, lets just wait and watch positive things unfold.

I think if the SEC approves ETFs next year, Biitcoin prices will rise quickly, hopefully that will happen. But in this Cryptocurrency I see a lot of Dramas being made, so if the drama continues later, I think the ETF can be delayed again. I think if ETF wants to approve it they do it immediately I think they see the market is dropping and delaying it again so when the market is move up then they decide to approve it because they know that it will have affect in market.

It would be a game changer for bitcoin. If SEC will approve the bitcoin ETF, there is a probability that bitcoin moves up. However, it does not cause a reversal or an uptrend either. Due to the lowest point of bitcoin, it will be harder for it to move up again. The bull market is faraway and we never see green light in the market once bitcoin etf does not approved by sec.

I'm also under the impression that a Bitcoin ETF will likely put some confidence in the market again, however, a ETF has also its cons so I guess the community is still divided whether we really need ETF as this point or left bitcoin continue to exist without any custodian because it will really defeat the purpose of bitcoin in the first place.

So I'm also not thinking of a scenario of a Bitcoin ETF approval anytime soon, although its possible but probably it will take years before SEC gives the go signal, just sayin'.

I am a little doubtful about the possibility of being approved is 50% -50%. because what was supposed to be announced this month, was postponed to February 2019. there still seems to be a lot of consideration to approve it.

I don't think BITCOIN ETF will inevitably lead to a bull market. They don't really have much relationship. Of course, whales may use the BITCOIN ETF news to speculate again, but fundamentally, BITCOIN ETF is just a recognition of bitcoin by one organization, it does not mean that the technology of Bitcoin has been broken. In fact, it has no effect on Bitcoin. So, don't overestimate the impact of the BITECIN ETF.

2019 Sec approval may bring lot of positive changes for cryptocurrencies industry they are more than 20 Etfs lined for sec approval

Soon or later, i am believe SEC will approve bitcoin ETF. Bitcoin transaction and market cap growing bigger and i think SEC should regulate cryptomarket. Beside that, with many big investment banks involve in cryptocurrency market, i am think SEC can not under estimate about this market

Losses don't matter. There are ETFs out there that were designed from the ground up to be as volatile as they could possibly make them. Losses come with the territory there.

What they won't put up with is exposing their flock to outrageously rigged markets. Though I'm sure most conventional markets are rigged they're rigged by the right people, not the rabble who infest crypto.

I believe that an ETF will get approved sooner or later. It's only a matter of time before they get all the legal framework straight and there will be nothing that the SEC can throw at them. Remember that the SEC also operates in accordance with the law and they can't deny something because they feel like it. There needs to be a viable law-based explanation. They are buying time to find reasons to deny it and to make it look like they're thoroughly researching the case.

I have a very good feeling that sec will approve as many institutionals have bought btc since june. They awere bagging pretty hard that cant be ignored.

I agree with you, that the approval of bitcoin ETF to SEC has been having a good successful rate on which can help many people to become aware on it and also it can help it to become more popular that will make the demand huge in the market. We can also see in the past months that there are many companies that saying their interest on bitcoin on which can make the adoption fast in our society.

Hope there will be a huge support coming from the boards so they finally make a decision on crypto regulation application. Once crypto become regulated,  it absolutely there is a change in market price and it's volatility exchange. 

Most probably because i do not see anything wrong with bitcoin system except of its feature which is the anonymity that could.be change or remove. The adaptation of the system needs a good control from the government to secure the investors investments and to gain more demand from the investors.

We have already observed that there is no direct impact to the market after it was rejected but we never know of what will be the impact if the ETF will be accepted by the SEC that hopefully it will trigger the bull run.

after several rejections, and delays, it is currently very difficult to believe that the SEC will accept bitcoin. however, when the SEC has received bitcoin, I think the price will be really stable, and of course the price will go up high. even I feel that the increase will exceed the highest price in 2017.

ETF has been discuss and consider for many times. Now it seems to have less effect on bitcoin and atlcoins markets.

Seriously let's move away from this perception that the acceptance of Bitcoin ETF would bring about the bull run. Bitcoin was doing so great without all these regularities and regulations bodies. All we need are strong hands to keep holding their bitcoin instead of selling them cheap on exchange platforms. Thinking of making pennies in daily trading instead of holding to make billions. Bitcoin is great and would rise with time so be patient.

SEC always give trouble for all e currency payment, we faced many trouble face by e currency payment by sec like PayPal, Payza and Bitcoin excatly, but bitcoin could be stronger than other e currency.

Yes, it is very strange so far the SEC has always postponed Bitcoin ETFs, so in my opinion it is very suspicious what the SEC is doing about this continuous delay, so I don't think too much about it, I believe Bitcoin prices will continue to rise even though the SEC does not approve ETFs even though.

Even bakkt hasn't been approved and all the good news are been turned down ,I think ETF will never see the light of the day but I'm less worried because bitcoin always get better either with or without regulations

Same thought here, i think there are really uncertainties for bakkt and ETF these days. Last December, the SEC pushed its decision for another bitcoin ETF applicant to late February this year. The SEC stated that it want to see the market is robust to ensure fair and legal trading. Many investors are awaiting if the ETF approval will really next February and this will really have a positive effect on the crypto market.

Its better we stop worrying about ETF approval ,bitcoin has been doing fine without one for years and if every one focus on ETF and in the end the ETF never get approved it might have a huge negative impact on the market condition because cryptocurrency works mostly on hype I heard

I bet EFT won't be approved in 2019, as the price is low. Maybe we will see some upward movement somewhere in Q4 2019.

now maybe not yet approved by sec. but there's also time to get it approved yet and one of the reasons is that it's still no taxed aplied by crytocurrency so it's too difficult to register in sec. We know that goverment is very hard to aproved if it is no taxes provided.

It will be a great news to the entire crypto space if SEC accepts Bitcoin ETF but we must understand that Bitcoin and all other coins will definitely thrive irrrespective of SEC's decision on whether to accept ETF or not. SEC has nothing to say in a case of Bakkt decision will be taken by CFTC

There is a just a slim chance that Bitcoin ETF be approved. One of the reasons is the question of SEC about price manipulation. The SEC wants to know if price manipulation be controlled under the unregulated bitcoin ETF. And SEC believe that it is not possible for the current ETF proposal.

 While the whales will manipulate the prices of bitcoin, ETF will not be approved. SEC will not accept ETF. But for bitcoin, I think this will not be a big obstacle, investors will still buy bitcoin and cryptomarket to recover.

SEC are still busy on apprehending scam ICOs and exhanges manipulating volumes as of now so I think they don't really give attention on the bitcoin etfs. Besides, it's just always a postponement and that makes me think that the SEC wants us to fix the problems in the crypto space by giving us much more time before they approved all of the pending ones.

But it doesn't mean that they won't file it again though, he just said he withdrawn because of the current drama in US government but he is still in contact with the regulators and trying to iron out everything to get themselves a higher chance of approval, eventually, so its not over yet.

I may not agree on an immediate bullrun but the possibility is good. We all might have heard how many of our fellow investors suffered loses during those times when market was not so favorable. While bitcoin usage keeps increasing I think SEC will eventually accept such change so as to give better opportunities for bitcoin market.

Take note that the withdrawal is just temporary. Its just that were going to need to wait for a while for it to be back

I think you don't know much about Crypto Currencies and what Crypto Currencies are, even if the Securities and Exchange Comission approves the Bitcoin ETF there is no assurance that Bitcoin will make a huge move or a bull run will occur because Crypto Currencies like Bitcoin are decentralize and no one or nobody controls it. Even if there are a lot of positive news about Bitcoin there will still no assurance that the price will rise and no one knows exeactly when will the price of Bitcoin rises again just like the huge move in 2017.

I agree with you, I do think that the SEC will not accept any Bitcoin ETF's as long that there are manipulations that are happening which they have a solid grounds to oppose the approval of Bitcoin's ETF. Even if SEC approves or not approve the ETF proposals for Bitcoin, Bitcoin will still continue and just like the past 10 years of its existence.

If SEC will approve Bitcoin ETF, this might be a good sign for a bullish trend change. Otherwise, I'm afraid the long bearish period will continue for the next few months at least.

If the other way around, I think there will be no more dumping, the negative side has already effected the price in the past, particularly in 2018.
So, if there's a big changes, it should be the approval and if that will happen early, it would make the price to recover early as well.

For me personally, it's hard to know. Will the SEC approve the ETF or not. But I have confidence, someday the SEC will definitely approve. And if the SEC agrees, I believe. To be honest, I am quite surprised that the price of bitcoin did not drop by a huge amount after the bitcoin ETF proposal submitted by VanEck and SolidX was withdrawn. Hopefully we will not see the price of bitcoin dropping in the next few days as I am afraid it will cause another waves of panic selling on the crypto-currencies trading market.

Maybe there's a lot of people haven't heard the news yet, or just the people grow tired of this whole Bitcoin ETF and get out of the market when the price plummets to its all time low.

I don't think SEC will approve Bitcoin ETF at this moment. Because Everybody does know that bitcoin is too much volatile, Even Bitcoin's price can't stand high for more than one month! I don't know why SEC rejected bitcoin every time, but Volatile can be a reason!

Despite the past decline of Bitcoin ETF by SEC, Bitcoin seems to be strong and never dying off on the market. This shows that if all investors and crypto community put extra effort and positive attitude, Bitcoin can rise with or without the acceptance of Bitcoin ETF by SEC. Both together will be much more then ETF
Also USA is not only one place of the world where bitcoin EFT can be approved

Presumably they'll be able to do their multiple extensions again, or perhaps October is when all the extensions run out. Can't be bothered to figure it out.

At some point ETF will gets approved, people have come to a state not to consider it anymore. In the past on every ETF approval request people were made to panic. There will be FUD around and the same used as a manipulative source. Now users are much clear and this time there isn't big fluctuation in the market.

If truly approved this will be  a landmark in the history of bitcoin so much attention had been on this ETF SEC approval after series of delays however I totally disagree that a new ath of $100K will be attained this year while alot of company might get involved in bitcoin and other cryptos this does not mean there gonna be massive pump up to that price mark as you predicted.

In my opinion if SEC really wants the bitcoin ETF to approve why they still not do it now? But I heard a rumor that they don't have any decisions now so I think they announce it in October if I'm not wrong. But I think even there's a approval or not bitcoin is still bitcoin and still people are the one can make bitcoin move up to higher price.

I believe that SEC will accept a Bitcoin ETF but not anytime soon there is more progress in Europe with Switzerland as this country has approved a Bitcoin ETF the United States I think would like to see a lot more regulation implemented into the Crypto markets. I don't think the ETF approval will get more and long term impact on the prices of bitcoin but this can be a reason to bring the bull run,so once the market keep started to recover more and more investors will take the capitalization into new level.

Because the SEC's concern is about security on trading and investment in bitcoin, fluctuations are taken into consideration. when fluctuations may weaken, maybe the ETF can be approved. but many people say that prices will never be stable?
