I often visit https://coinmarketcap.com to check bitcoin market price. And to what like other had said that the bitcoin has made some dip. The problem with the current market on the investors will worry the investors and will do panic selling. Still, FUD's werr getting worse as they had tried to pull over their claim was true and for that they said that its better to withdraw investment now or one will regret later. This is now another problem that made me confuse. Now, I had continue checking the market price movement and checking also the chart. I had made a screenshot of the chart. See the image below:

Forget the current price, don't check it again, wait patiently for a while, and the price of Bitcoin will rise.

it is not "continuing" to drop, it dropped about 3 days ago and that was it! there has been no more drops and ever since that day the price has been hovering around $5500.
the "investors" did panic sell, that is why the price dropped that much. although i have to say the drop was small in my opinion compared to the panic they were trying to induce.

when you constantly looking for the price at the market you will just loosing your decision because you will just lose your strategy in adapting in the market, you should see those drops as opportunity rather than losing but you really need to wait until the price raise again.

well close bitcointalk and any other social media that you are reading, and sit down and think why you bought bitcoin in first place. then see if that reason still exists or not. if it does then buy and if not then sell and don't buy back again.

the thing is many users around here bought bitcoin to become rich fast and make a lot of profit and wanted bitcoin to continue to shoot up. that reason no longer exists for the time being so you should sell and not buy back for now.

Actually the price got "stuck" around 5500$ and it's not going much down anymore. And I think it will not go down to 5000$. In fact I expect to rise towards 6000$ in the upcoming days.

I think you're in panic mate,just skip on looking on the coin market capitalization because this might cause you to dump all your investments.Hold alittle bit longer or even after December because last year December 2017 was BTC year.It might not reach that high but hoping it will surpass to $10k.

Yes that was a big dissapointment in us as a trader and investor because if we looking back year 2017 the month of December they have big different  that 2017 was a bull run but today 2018 was a big dumb or falling so that we need to be patient and trust that bitcoin will rise again don't  compare the 2017 and 2018 value just stick to focus that bitcoin will rise again.

Well, that is the right thing to do. Cut off all negative news and enjoy when market is bloody red. Cut loss if necessary if you think the project has failed  or if you think it will drop further and buy back later if possible or leave the coin for good.  Situation like this is stressful when market is dipping. Just analyze whats happening and make an important decisions whether to cut loss or  leave it as it is and give attention to something productive.

There's not enough price to keep falling to for another year. If you compare the 2 year market in 2014 and 15 to this, 2014 price was for a long time holding around 50% of ATH and then by the end of the year fell to 30%. This year we've been at 35% for months and now we are below 30%. What are we going to do for another year? Keep trading sideways at 20% of ATH?

Bitcoin dipping is not a news. You don't have to do anything other than to wait until it gets to the level you want it to reach before you sell.

You are right, big whales took the advantage of this downfall and they started buying more coins from the panic sellers, so holding coins is the right way to secure our coins. This is not the end of cryptocurrency wait for your day.

I think this dip was a must before the huge upcoming uptrend, maybe this is the last shake to lose the week hands that was still holding. We all know that almost everyone was waiting for the bullish market before the end of the year, and probably this huge dump was to create a scare trend to prevent weak hands from joining. Personally i am not FUDDING Bitcoin but i have some complement at this moment. Bitcoin price gradually falling but i think if you still a lot of coins holding and you should be sell 50% this is my strategy and again BTC more dropping than you can buy. Because unlimited times holding now highly risky way.

It's a great time to buy but i don't think there is that enthusiasm that encapsulated the whole world around this time last year that made people from far and near invest into bitcoin. Just be calm, everything is ok. I think fluctuation only proves that not everything is worth to invest with, what i mean is there is no perfect coin to put your 100% thrust to it, even bitcoin experiencing now drops or decreasing its price, maybe bitcoin investors are a little bit sad and frustrated however they know already hiw to deal with it and they just knew that there will be time the bitcoin drops also its price, and so as the other altcoins.

OP you are in panicking state and that's normal for someone that experienced this fall for the first time. Those people that are telling you to stop and just sell all you've got wants to protect your money and probably wanted you to cut your losses. I won't encourage you if you are also worried, the decision lies in your hands and if you think that there's space for bitcoin to rise in the future then hold. But if you think that its just getting worse, then sell.

Take some time to learn more about the overall technology behind Bitcoin and decentralized block chain ledgers. Any little bit you further to understand the underlying technology helps you ride out these drops much better. Then look into some of the new projects that are coming out and about through the block chain and crypto community. There's a lot of really neat stuff being created these days. Not all of it will succeed, but seeing what's being done with the technology can do a lot to give you hope in a bear market (even if you're like me and don't understand all of it that well yet).

In addition if you believe in Bitcoin as a technology you can take a little bit of spare money and invest a little more into Bitcoin while the price is low. This way if you've lost some earlier in this bear market you can get it at a much lower price now so when it raises you can average yourself better. Either way you end up with MORE bitcoin.

If you really want to get rid of some Bitcoin, try to buy something with some of your bitcoin rather than selling it at the market and "dumping it". That way you get something out of it, support adoption and learn how to actually use it better. You'll also make the person earning it smile too :). Alternatively you can try to donate some Bitcoin to a worthy charity that may accept it and do some good with it.

Don't let the market scare you; rather educate yourself, invest while prices are low or use some of it for something cool to help with adoption.

Honestly my opinion is that we should not follow like a flock of sheep and sell bitcoin ! It is necessary to be patient and it only it can bring profit to each of us !

When Bitcoin goes dip then Buy is the next option, lets buy to HODL. Those who are afraid of the dip and don't want to buy should HODL their coins for the market to bounce back. The very crash of Wednesday was the last crash before a bull run set in, so, hold patiently as the dip will soon be over.

Best option is to hodl your Bitcoin and not fall prey of panic sell off. During such period, those that have the heart to hodl and buy more would conveniently buy from you to make more profit later.

Don't believe such FUDs. Some of them are just talking so that the price can dip further in order for them to buy cheap. Experience has taught me that in times like this, it is best to hold or even buy more.

compare to when bitcoin started till now bitcoin as become more popular now tech as spread to many people and many investors are willing to enter into crypto soon there will be a bullrun  

Bitcoin dipping we can do the following 1. if you have BTC, wait and hold for it to go up later or next year 2. if you have some cash buy the dip and set to sell at a higher price to earn some profit 3. if you think it will go down more, sell some now and buy at lower price. basically if you have coins, you just wait and hold couple of months to have better price later. Bitcoin is the future, it will go up sooner or later. relax and enjoy the roller coaster.

Obviously, its really making us frustrated. Everytime i see charts with all the downward motion is just giving me a bad day. But we can never tell what might happen in the next few months. I am not sure about this bull run happening next mnth or next year but hoping this will give us a slight hope of light that crypto world will boom again and give all the investors a major comeback. All we need is an extra patience, maybe this will reward us someday, not sure if its a good reward or another downfall (wish not).

That was playing arround $6000-7000 mark but now as you say came to $5000-6000 mark.. I am strong bitcoin hodler from long time but now the price acts really weird and i am loosing my beliefs.. After reading the whole branch, I realized only one thing - people really are still guided by Analytics or logic, when making decisions in trade, and as usual emotional intelligence. I will try to keep waiting, if I make a decision at this time to sell the bitcoin that I have then I will suffer losses. To be honest, I was expecting a recovery of the market from the second half of this year but somehow it is delayed but still, it is a good opportunity for those who are willing to enter in the crypto industry. If we are holding Bitcoin specially if we bought it at the highest price then now it reaching below $5,000. For me, the best thing we do then is to keep on holding as what is the point of selling it low now in which we have already lose huge? At least by holding there is a chance that we could take back our losses as Bitcoin was in this difficult market for so many times before but still its survived.

Obviously, holding is the best thing we can do aside from buying. This fall makes me sad because I need some fiat and had to sell it at this rate. At the same time i'm getting excited on how long or low this fall would be. If bitcoin still has a dipping scenario just hold and wait for the right time before price commences to a new level. Bull run isn't a magic that we need to enjoy of because we need to be benefited through it. When we need to have profitable investments, patience is our key in order to achieve it. It's really funny to see this. Just yesterday was euphoria and today panic. Don't you people ever learn something?
Bitcoin is volatile, price is changing and not always in positive direction. Every time when the price grows people start to dream about exaggerated values of Bitcoin and getting rich over night. Then the next day when the price falls the panic starts. It's like we are dealing with unmature children.

There are some who didn't, they might be new or got FOMO when there is a continues pump that brought us up to $8K.
This is actually normal, we've seen this many times, especially last year, so nothing to panic, and instead keep calm and hold firm as bitcoin will be taking off again, probably to the moon this time, hopefully it will happen soon.
