Your decision to choose to invest all your money in Bitcoin can be useful in the future, or you will spend Christmas with a little money, I salute your courage to take risks but maybe you have considered it, but I dare not risk all money by buying bitcoin, now maybe a good time to buy some bitcoin.

All my money is not just on Bitcoin but in all other altcoin also. So I would try to wait it out. My capital only came from free also.

We've already in it for a while. From 20K to today we all are watching collapsing of Bitcoin :)

But we all have still hope to be wealthy :) I think I like this hope :)

those hoarding and waiting for a 2x-10x multiple. dont realise prices move more than 1% a day.
make 1% a day=more than 3x a year.

dont wait for the moon to come to you. get to the moon one percent at a time. and when the solar system realigns to how you hope, you will find yourself transported to mars. and realise you done so with less risk

those that hoard waiting for 2x+ but then panic sell loss at the smallest sign of a 5% dip. will always lose
take a 1% step forward and repeat. and then when a dip occurs you know you have averaged down your initial costs. thus at less risk

i think we will see bitcoin moon very soon.i never expected bitcoin price to fall below 6k usd.this year is most crucial period for bitcoin.and good days will come soon.

This is the main approach I an taking to my investments in BTC. Altcoins can be looked at slightly differently depending on if money was invested pre-ICO and some impressive growth has been made.

As for Christmas, as much as I would love to invest all my Xmas money into BTC... I would feel rotten if I didnt buy my family some gifts to enjoy over the festivities. :)

nope. going for high risk high reward ICO pump and dump is not the game at all
your thinking high risk but potential of 2x in a few days.

its far better to go with the low risk potential of 2% in a few days. that will give your haul a good healthy low risk 300% over a year which then when the events align for the odd 2x spike. make it 600%+

playing the short term hopes of 2x thinking oh well i didnt get 2x this week lets try another ICO next week. is a gamblers game of always betting on 13 hoping you just need a couple good wins to balance you out. but the flip side is a couple bad losses will trip you up even more.

dont aim for waiting for or hoping for 2x wins.  just nibble at the 1-2% daily standard movements. it will all add up in the end

as for christmas. .. well any time.
dont invest more then you care to lose. in most cases work out what you spend on disposables. EG fast food that just ends up as a toilet flush the next day.. invest that. and constantly invest that. knowing its no loss because it would only end up as a toilet flush at the end of the day.
and also if you ever do get hungry for fastfood. you can buy it via selling some coin because you dont care about exchanges rates as it again is a zero loss game your now playing... your just no longer having to see all your funds get flushed down the toilet

Yes guys I have no cash money in my hands, my pocket is really empty due to market declination. I bought bitcoin with my pocket cash hence my hand Full null and I have no money to buy Christmas gift.

Quality ICO projects do not offer a profit of 2x in a few days, for some it's actually a couple of months before the project can take shape and actually have some organic growth, when you consider bounty participants dumping and large bonuses for investors it could be longer. But there's at most two or three of such projects annually.

ICO investments should be approached strictly. And only go for projects which satisfy all criteria you set for a quality project.

It has never been advisable to invest all your savings in to bitcoin or any other crypto currency, Sorry that you're in such a tight spot. But it is better to have a Lamborghini as a random gift in may-june than a tree as a Christmas gift In my opinion.

Wise choice, I guess Bitcoin is your Christmas present this year. I am celebrating Christmas as usual this year, I separate crypto investment apart from my daily life.

I think there few number of people who turn their money into bitcoin and now the face big losses because of the down price of bitcoin. You need to keep on your mind that do not put all your egg in one basket or simply to say to you can't turn your all money into bitcoin simply because it is risky.

This is usually the reason for the dump because people need extra cash for Christmas gifts. However, it has already crashed so I wonder if it will go further to help pay for Xmas

Look, this whole tradition of giving gifts might be a little bit silly, I get it... But you're basically saying that you don't have any extra funds now.

Yes last year we have celebrated Christmas in a good way but this year no Christmas gift will be for us and foe others too because the market is very red and we can not make money so it's time to search for a job and leave the market for some time because it is difficult for those who are fully dependent on crypto.

I think it depends on what you think is more important, and if you don't want to sell low because the current price is low then hold it tight, but if you think the gift is important then you can sell a portion of bitcoin.

But, it's not good idea really to focus only on one thing in life.
There are many much more important things in life like family, love, health etc.
Also, keep your regular work, don't quit.
Bitcoin or crypto should be just additional, possible bonus for you.

Christmas time is really time to spend and not to save.  However,  it is better your fund should be in bitcoin than using it at this impose moments.  Investing into cryptocurrencies is like investing into the future and I believe that what op is holding now will make him rich in future.  Remember that cryptocurrencies market is going to recover and since we would ever have another Christmas I think we can actually make investments now and enjoy the future with enough funds. This time providing us with an opportunity to buy bitcoin again at a very low price.  Last year many of enjoy Christmas because we were able to buy at low price when bitcoin was downed.

I am in the same situation...and besides that I don't  know what to expect from Bitcoin as it does not show signs of growth, and in this summer i was so hopeful that the prices will rise in this period, and in december i'm gonna earn some money so i would be able to buy gifts for Christmas..and many other things..

It is good to cut down cost and not gift ungratefule family members but I will make sure to gift those who supported and my immediate family. Bitcoin might go up or down but you will need to keep some bonds with family.

It's sad to hear that but you should not have been all in as the market is very volatile you should have known the risks involved in it. Nonethless you must celebrate christmas dude it comes once in a year so take some time out from crypto and have fun with your family. ;)

I specifically avoided everything bitcoin for the past 3 months so that I'd just hold (I made a bet that nothing disastrous would happen within that timeframe).

So finally decided to take a peek and it's currently at 3k. Not what I was hoping for but guess it could have been worse. There's a fat chance of going to the moon or at least approach the last ath before the year ends.

No I wasn't disagreeing with your low risk ideology. I have only invested in 2 ICOs ever and they were well known ones. The vast majority of my money goes into the accumulation of BTC/ETH pretty much regardless of the price its at.

I must admit though, sacrificing the takeaway cash for BTC can be a struggle since i LOVE chinese food, however the prospects of using it to invest and potentially grow are much more tasty  :P

No way, if you don't celebrate the christmas you are not living normal life. First of all celebrate xmas and wish luck to yourself. And i am not sure about the BTC price as well. It could drop more with this market conditions. I would like to recommend that you need to wait more for buying BTC. But you can go to altcoins market, there are many coins that they have great oppurtunities.

There is a possibility that the gift for Christmas to all bounty hunters, investors and brokers will be a market reversal and we will finally see the rapidly increasing performance of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Actually, I hope that we will be able to see a similar picture by this new year or even a little earlier.

I think that a gift does not always have to be expensive. Sometimes pleasant emotions are much better than expensive gifts. I think that next year You will be able to give your loved ones many good gifts.

 I am not with you but not because I have something against but because I feel different. There will be Christmas gifts but I hope that there will be money for bitcoin too. Only thing that could change my mind would be some crazy price jump that I wouldn't like to miss.

I don't think the good time will come very soon! Rather I would say the crypto market will take time to recover its good price. Though I expected to see bitcoin under 5K USD but I never expected bitcoin can down to under 4K USD! Now, BTC can go even under 3K USD in near future. But this is not the end, good time will come soon or later, let's wait for that with hodling strong!

I think only old holders will celebrate Christmas. however, the majority of crypto users will not sell crypto for Christmas and holidays. they choose to hold in unpredictable times.

Yeah, this is nice! At least for now, your holding for the future. However, Christmas is not about the gifts we give, not about the food we have on the table, not about the decorations. It is about about love and family. Simple and yet happy celebration will do. Who knows maybe next year will be a grand celebration.

I am with you boss i experiencing now what you have experienced its hard because bitcoin is slowly moving down and my altcoins are going to dump also so no money and no Christmas gift.

Oh that's so hard truth for some people but who knows what will happen in even near future? If bitcoin felt so suddenly, it can rise so as well. At least it's a great time to buy bitcoin and get summer double gift if luckily possible.

Wish of 10x profit seems a little bit weird if we consider it in old price between 6-7K but now I think it's pretty possible in two year. Btw yeah, coin changes daily by 1 and more percent but if I profit that's because you lose, there is this situation too.

You have risk all your money hoping that what happened last year will happen this year but unfortunately it didnt. I didnt put all of my money in Bitcoin and other cryptos but most of my money are in it and with the big drop, my plans for the Christmas season has been ruined :(.

No matter what happen Celebration of Christmas is go on even with out a  lot of  money the important is we celebrate this Christmas with complete family and friends, All user are experienced like you, almost all capital will follow towards the dump of bitcoin into the dip we hope that this Christmas there is a chance to rise again and we all see the lighting of bitcoin like a sunrise in the morning.

One year ago in same days bitcoin at his peak and people's celebrating Christmas with fully joys but at this time mostly holding their bitcoin and altcoins so that prices will go up so you can say it no Christmas gift.

Yeah a holy hell xmas this year. BTC is 400% from its top this year. Even the miners, ico developers, and every trader is hurting bad. This year hugs for gifts, electronic greeting cards, cook at home and watch a christmas carrol instead of the football ball game and hope the girlfriend doesn't go looking under the fake tree. After new years we all get rewarded for hanging in and start looking to buy again.

Don't forget that main rule in cryto is to never invest more than you can afford to lose, so skipping Christmas gifts is nit a wise option imo.
Family and friends are definitely more important than any investment. You can buy rather symbolic gifts and from the remaining money buy some Btc, eventually.

You can sell a portion of your investment and give the money to this family, maybe it's a little crazy but it can make it calm and think about the price of bitcoin recover. May I know, when did you start an investment? or do you buy bitcoin at what price? It took a long time for the price of bitcoin to return to ATH last year. Maybe, there are already many investors out there who have suffered losses and even some of them have given up to investing.

Reading some comments here.. just to clarify - I'm enjoying Christmas no matter what. This is one of the best seasons of the year. Spending time with my family, listening to crypto Christmas music (https://www.crypto24radio.com/crypto-christmas-album) and eating good food. Just can't buy fancy gifts to my loved ones. Which is sad of course, but also I'm an investor and I know that we are here, in the Bitcoin game, for a long-term. These short-term results don't bother me. I know that Bitcoin will get back up and this keeps me happy.

Agreed, it isnt about how much the gift was. Its the thought that counts and just the fact you have went out your way to get that someone a gift and maybe a card will mean more than the extra $100-200 you spend on it.

That is good to have earning on bitcoin and hold it but not enough and have to buy another volume. Also it is better to have other coin for more possibilities. Gift is not the only thing which make someone's happy. Simple celebration with family is enough, gifts can come after, that can wait also.

I feel you. Have little bit of the same situation. Bad time to sell as well. Just need to hold and wait till the next bull run happens. Which is eventually going to happen, but just need to be patient.

I agree with you because this is a golden opportunity because the bitcoin price is too low so if anyone can invest now and hold for the future and if bitcoins recover like we expect the amount of income that can be gain is immense and that is the reason why we should buy as much as we can because this situation will no longer continue and like always in bitcoin when there is a drop a price increase follows so now is the best time to make a decision

Yes I also complained about this before, I didn't sell bitcoin when I still had good value and I was quite disappointed and regretted it, I still don't want to sell, maybe by the end of the year we still have a chance to come back at $6k so it's not too loss if selling it at that value, hopefully there will be a big increase in 2019.

yes, some people cannot celebrate Christmas, because their wealth is kept in the value of BTC, and BTC today is very bad. and selling BTC in bear conditions is not a good decision.

I suggest to each member here, don't focus only to the crypto world, but we also have to have real jobs. as reserve income.

People shouldn't have the vast majority of their finances tied up in Bitcoin. That is not a healthy way to invest your money giving the sheer volatility of the Crypto space right now. It is healthy to keep diversity in your investing. Stocks, shares, commodities etc.

So if you don't have available cash to buy a couple presents for family, then I think that's unhealthy.

I am very enthusiastic about crypto, however I cannot agree with the approach you guys are taking with going "all in" on crypto. That is a recipe for disaster to do that with any investment never mind Crypto which has such a young life span and takes massive price swings day by day. Right, Christmas is not food on the table or a gift you receive Christmas is sharing a love to anyone. You can celebrate your Christmas a simple not expensive celebration with your family cause it's better to prepare our future to become better and financially stable and if you become successful you can celebrate your Christmas a grand celebrations.

Christmas this year different with last year. Bitcoin price reach peak price at december last year and I am believe many people celebrate it. But this year, many investor suffering drop the value on their portfolio. I am just hoping that 2019 will be a good year for cryptomarket and market can recover again

I will go even better, by buying bitcoins for them and giving that to them for a gift. I would tell them that it will be a delayed gift, because they will have to wait for the price to skyrocket, before they can buy the gift that they want. It would be like a gift voucher that increase in value.  ;D

I did this with my brother in 2016 and he sold those bitcoins in 2017 <when I told him to> and he said it was the best gift I ever gave him, because it was worth a lot more, when he cashed it out.  ;D

You can still celebrate everyday even with or without christmas but to be able to do that , we must first prepare and invest now on cryptos because that is the only way for us to earn huge sums of money in the future  .

I also agree on the both of you guys  that christmas is not about gifts , food , money  but christmas is all about the love for jesus and forgiving of our sins  .

That is a good idea. Giving bitcoin as a gifts though it is late, it will profit and may be higher. It does not really important if I receive a gift or nothing because celebrating it with my family is what makes my Christmas beautiful. It is not only the time that celebrate Christmas so it is not a problem if you do not have gifts now. Give time with them and enjoy.

Yes, for this year there are no prizes for Christmas, because most investors hold their Bitcoin. So gifts for families and people who are loved now must be delayed. But we must be optimistic that in the coming year the price of BItcoin will return to skyrocket.  ;)

Besides everyone decides for his own how and where to invest and how much risk you can take and how much you  can afford to lose. So even if you don't have anything left because of Bitcoin price that is not for Bitcoin to blame

there is still prety christmas gift , there is still lot of hope in the space due to cryptocurreny volatility any can happen and record can still be broken . hype on cryptocurrency asset is already making great moves on the social media right now and couple with the Uk Government integrating bitcoin as virtual money for paying of taxes , it means that other world economic power will follow suit . just keep on trading and be satisfy with the little profit if you are shorting .

To think that the bear market happens for some few months already and there is no bounce back or even a life for bitcoin market then probably patience is also already losing right now especially to the investors. Besides, news and fuds are there always stating that bitcoin will going to end.

There is no happy in the holidays with bear market of bitcoin. All investors feel that they loss already on their investment and that is not good for the bitcoin itself also.

I didn't do this though. I didn't pull out any money since the market is really low but I just used my salary in order for my family to celebrate Christmas. If I were in your case, I wouldn't invest in bitcoin since it's still expensive in my part. I'll probably look for cheaper coins like XRP. But I think that is going to be really great in the future.

I am planning to do exactly that this year. My salary will come in early. USD is a bit strong on my local currency but I can get almost $350. I will buy 0.1 BTC. :)

I think the low price of bitcoin is something that we should take advantage of. We have seen BTC price going down a lot before and it has come up again every time. So why not buy now, have some tougher times maybe, but in a year or two you will thank yourself for being SMART!

I got some of my assets in but I've left some funds which are kind of enough to celebrate my Chrismas and enjoy the holiday. You should have left some though. You'll miss this year away from cryptocurrency and a little bit of stress from work and from cryptocurrency itself.

Maybe bad year for you and keep hidden your self at home, many investors still holding their asset at bitcoin because faced really bad moment with buying bitcoin at higher price and now have drop, you only needed patient for hold your asset.

We need to celebrate eventhough the price of bitcoin is very poor. What is in the bitcoin is deffirent in the budget of our family, can not afford any money for family happiness, this coming holiday sets aside our goal in bitcoin to focus in our family this christmas season.

I'm not big on Christmas myself either.  It has become too focused on materialism.  I think all holidays have basically become a business within themselves.  Easter, Valentines day, and halloween.  Its just a celebration for big business to sell us more useless items that will pollute the earth and terrible candy that will ruin our health.

but with no prizes at the end of the year we will definitely get a prize in the coming year, so don't ever worry about your money in Bitcoin. the problem is that later you can get a big profit when the price of bitcoin increases again

Totally agree here, it is not healthy AT ALL to have all your eggs in one basket like this. Especially in this premature stage when your full savings are going to be swinging erratically in price. Don’t get me wrong I’ pro Bitcoin in the long run, but I have only invested into it what I can comfortably afford to lose and not have a detrimental effect on my life.

You should diversify your investment, don't put all eggs in one bucket. I think you have to be fine with this situation, only this year, it's okay. Next year you can double the gifts. Bitcoin price will rise soon but not this year. Bitcoin price is unpredictable it's meant that it's  price moves not in line with the exception of many people, most of people think that bitcoin price will keep fall so they sell their bitcoin but after most of people do that then bitcoin price will rise ::) ::) ::) .

All i can offer this year is another year of love and friendship.
I hope they will understand as my money is with BITCOIN AND ETHEREUM.

Same here @gabbie2010 . I only sell a minimal amount for impotant expenses. Its too late to sell at a big loss. Just hodling and waiting for a favorable price, a bull run maybe a few months from now hopefully. As of now, just  observing whats happening and enjoying events as it pass.

The start of the year, the price dumps and a lot of people are again, spreading FUDs that well, made a lot of investors sell their Bitcoins and other crypto currencies. What he wants to say is that he can't buy or maybe give a Christmas gift to himself or his family since his money is all on Bitcoin.

Count me in  my bonus salary was on crypto plus some amount of my monthly salary and currently this bearish market prohibit me to cash out some cause if i do o am losing my investment. This christmas my wife are all expense i just told him that is not the right time to cash out good thing he understand.

Yeah, maybe he didn't understand what the OP is trying to say lol. ;D FUD's and FOMO's are part of this very wild crypto industry and we should get used to these kinds of activities that always happen. I also invested my money in Crypto Currencies for a long-term hodling and almost every coin that I'm hodling is 90% to 95% lower than the price when I bought it but I'm not worrying that much because I believe in the potentials of the coins that I invested in.

investing all your money in bitcoin is quite risky although there are potential reward if you have the patience to hold for a long period of time . i will always advice to share your capital to different kind of investment and not just limiting your yourself to one particular asset . if you invest in shares, stocks  or other form of asset you should have Christmas gift which serve as kind of plan B despite the dip we experience in the course of the year 2018. and also if you traded wisely you should have roll up some little profit by now .

Many Bitcoin whales who have millions or billions of dollars worth of Bitcoin won’t sell a penny of their coins no matter how high the price goes, unless they need money to survive or to sustain their lifestyle.
