i want to know did you make profit in gambling or lost and i know 99% people lost their money in gambling Gambling is only for fun not a way to make money what you think Gamblers ;) Always Gamble what you afford to Lose Don't Give up LOL

If you really want to make money then find a decent job, or build your own business. Gambling can never be a source of income. The question is, how often do you gamble this year? Is there any fund which is intended only in gambling? Do you empty it and get on other funds? Do you quit when its time to quit? If you dont have discipline then most likely you will fail. 10 BTC is hige and its impossible that you didnt win with all that stuff.

i was in profit like 4 to 5 btc before i lost 10 btc as u said i had no control over myself and with long streak i even lost 4.2 btc in minutes but my point gambling addiction very bad in short run you will earn profit but in long run i think 99% people  lose because of addiction i can't blame gambling sites for that.

The most important rule in gambling is self control, If you can let emotions cloud your judgments then you really should stay away from gambling, If not you might lose more than you afford, In gambling you've got to set your loss limit and be bold enough to walk away if you reach the limit, Then you can try again another day, you can't keep gambling to recover losses, If not you also bound to lose way more.

Try your luck playing games that involve some real life skills(let's say betting) and aren't based to pure luck. Pure luck + house fees => 100% loss

You learned this after spending 10 BTC ? I believe this is not too late. Because, some people would never find opportunities to learn this lesson even after spending 100 BTC (given that they are able to spend that much). you learned your lesson at least now in my view so that you can save your future losses and you can recover your losses in some other businesses. Please never ever try to recover your losses in gambling.

I assume your affordable amount is 20 BTC and you have spent half of that and now you started suggesting to other gamblers not to spend their committed money ;D. Every gambler wants to learn their own lesson by spending their own hard earned money. We cannot do anything for that.

Gambling itself is risky and people lose huge amount of money rather than making money. This is the fact and earlier people understand it one would be more happy in life rather than cribbing like OP who has lost 10 btc in 2018. Imagine if had not gambled 10 btc worth today is like 40k .

True, at least playing games that requires some personal skills give some possibilities to be on the winners side while pure luck drives to pure loss mathematically

But when gamblers are under the pain of recovering their losses, I doubt that they will take time to understand that fact. I will focus on recovering rather than looking to stop their gambling. It is due to that they are not ready to accept that there is a world outside gambling and there are thousands of other opportunities to get back those losses. They will believe like gambling is the only world and they got struck within that.

This may sound funny but this is the cruel reality. A gambler's mind will not function similar to a normal human. It is in brain fade conditions hence not ready to accept the realities.

Gambling is definitely not for fun. There are lots of other things that people can do to have some fun. You will never understand why there is a so-called professional gamblers because you lose. They considered gambling as career and they already established a good winning stats.

And BTC10 overall lose? What did you do while on process? Just diving in without any strategy?

I will understand if you lose that kind of amount on any house edge gambling games on few shots (I will just consided you as dumb for just putting bets easily) but if you lose it via strategy based games then I will not accept the reason of being a newbie in gambling here.

Only an addict can lose that much money. When you are a gambling addict you are likely not following any rules. You lose and keep increasing the amount to cover your lose. You keep doing before you discovering that you lost everything.

This is always been the destiny of most gamblers which is losing if they continue to gamble. No matter what the cost or numbers of bitcoin you do have it would be still just the same outcome.
If you cant afford to lose then you should not play gambling in the very first place. 10 BTC is big for an average joe and even myself would already have a sleepless night even losing 1 BTC.

That’s a lot of money and its sad that you lose that easily. Well, I don’t lose that much last year and I don’t even make more profit since I limit myself to gamble and focus in trading instead. The best thing I can say here is just to move on and make 2019 a better year by making safer investments and finding newer ways to make money besides gambling. It is indeed true that there are professional gamblers out there, but such an occupation's not for everyone and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of documentation on how to become one to me on the internet, though if you really want to become a professional gambler, I'm sure there's relevant information online somewhere as long as you look deep enough.

It's a ridiculous amount indeed, but I can't afford to lose huge amount like that. Sooner or later when I'm in a loosing streak, would rather take a break from gambling and not chase my losses. And in the last 4 months I just played to have some fun. Of course, I lost a few but I never had a sleepless night, everything I do is to enjoy the dice game as it is.

My best advice to you would be, stop gambling. 10 bitcoin is too much to lose in gambling maybe except if you are a whale, which I reckon you are not.

whale or not , 10 btc is still too much too loose for just playing a gambling game but asking a loan without collateral is inapropriate anymore on which he got himself an instant negative trust  .

 best way to do is to continue playing gambling so that he can recover his loss and if ever he manage to to reach 10 btc again that is the time for him to quit . after that ,  the next best thing that he could do is to bet only smaller amounts or amounts that he can afford to loose  .

Most of the people that make a profit with gambling are usually the rich, which gamble maybe with 1% of all their holding.

They don't gamble on emotion like the retail gamblers and if they win, good, if not then no big deal. This is no different than what goes on in casinos physically. Most of the large high rollers are already wealthy and their priority isn't to make an income gambling, but just to have fun. So they don't takes bets based on emotions. Most gambling addicts take revenge gambling such as betting big to "break-even" and they end up losing their entire pay-check in a few hours.

I've knew a few of these people personally from work. They would get paid on Friday at 5PM, and by 6PM their entire 2 weeks salary would be gone. Only way they got their bills paid was with their spouses income. And their excuse was always the same. "I was up $1000, lost $2000, was going to gamble until I broke even and ended up losing in total $3000" and its the same story every month.

The rich don't really have this issue because they can control their emotions and they never risk 100% of their entire salary in an evening of gambling.

At any instance one should not go into gambling with the focus of earning. If that is in the mind automatically user tends to spend little by little after every loss expecting to get back the loss. This is not effective and cent percent impossible to achieve, very few exceptions might be there. I reduce the unwanted expenses and spend the same on gambling. In this way last year I earned around 1.5btc and lost the same. This has lead me have fun, experiment the truth behind gambling and possible ways to earn without big loss.

Everybody had experience to get profit from gambling but often so people lost and 10 btc is huge money for me and if you were not pushing your luck then this might be will never happen and you should be minimize your gambling activity to avoid being an addicted and from now on just never considering gambling for making money and considering gambling for entertainment purposse is very much better

I think my lost much bigger than my profit in gambling because I don't have luck in any gambling games. But I accept it, and I still want to play gambling because I don't have any passion for the winning money. Although if I can win with ease, that is just because of my luck. But if I was losing 10 btc, I think I cannot accept it, and for sure, I don't want to use that 10 btc for the gamble.

I don't really make what you so-called profit, but I do make some money, and I agreed gambling is mainly for fun, but losing much of your money is not that fun though. That's a fortune you lost in gambling! There is a word called "stop loss" in the trading world. Where a trader judges his own risk taking capability and put a stop loss for each and every trade he executes. Same thing goes in gambling as well. The only difference is that, you can't put a stop loss through the system in gambling so the stop loss should be implemented through your own mind. I think that's where you are lacking!

Go for an mindset overhaul in 2019 and don't look back to 2018 and it will not refund you the money you lost. Instead become a more disciplined gambler in 2019. Try to know your risk taking capability and act accordingly. All the best!

I got a profit in gambling in 2018. I started with a small amount only and lucky for me, I got some profit and then I stopped gambling for the meantime. I withdrew all of my funds in gambling site to my address where I put my BTC holdings.

Gambling is not a work that will give you money but a way to give entertainment only so just spend a little bit of your money. 10 BTC is too much if I'm in your position right now. I can't gamble 10 BTC :D

Aw, its too big. I think you can afford to lose that money since you will not gamble that if you can't take the risk. I just made a small profit in gambling, I don't want to put more time of playing because I don't have much money to lose for, I just want to have fun of course. Gamble what you can afford still a waste of money, assess your strategies because you might already in a wrong directions towards your goal.

I think you should forget what you lost and start gambling from 0 again. Because most of the time, gamblers who try to recover what they have lost previously will get more loses instead of recovering the loses. Having target and limit is a must thing to do before you start gambling but the most important thing is how you control yourself in order to stick on your target and limit because most gamblers are forgetting it while they are gambling.

Greediness shouldn't be a factor, especially if you are considering the risk that you are taking. Do not think that you can gamble to recover losses, and it would lead to more losses.

I've noticed that gamblers often treat the same situations differently. Knowing well that they normally shouldn't risk more than they can afford to lose, they are still doing that when chasing their losses, as if it's an exceptional situation. But it isn't. There are no exceptions for this rule. The fact that you lost a lot before doesn't contribute to the higher probability of winning.

OP seems a guy lost the BTC because he was chasing. 10BTC is a lot of money. If this is an amount for someone who can afford to lose it then I guess that someone is a whale for sure have 100s of BTC.

That's the spirit which everyone including the loser should have that they will recover their loses in 2019. As far as stop loss  is concerned, people do not use it properly in trading where stoploss is actually available and in gambling there is no such thing called Stop loss.  You can only control your loss if you limit yourself going all in , in gambling.

IMO we should not stick to main line of discussion about amount of loss. Maybe op is crypto whale who has more than 100 BTC?
Emotions are big factor in both trading&gambling but mastering yourself can be a exit for next possible loss. I cant see any feasible solution for those who has emotional bias in gambling. Even capacity of managing risk is limited when gambler faced with losing streak.

If it's true that you lose 10 BTC in gambling then I'd say you have a lot to offer in gambling, if you can't afford that, you'll regret what you are doing. Me, I don't really bet beyond my income and I spend a little percentage of it 10BTC is a life changing for me, I could use that in trading and enjoy some little gains. You need to control yourself, winning will come if you know how bankroll management is done because it takes time to learn how to win.

I didn't say loosing is fun. Player must have been so distracted that he didn't noticed that he reached 10 BTC, its either he is trying to recover his loses or he is extremely distracted to notice the amount he is losing already. This is really a massive amount some one is losing because 10 btc means a lot of money to nearly 80% of the people. Might be is someone is rich then may be fine losing that amount else with that amount one could easily stay for the rest of the life in normal way.

Agree ;D if he can't control himself maybe he will kill himself and can't tell his story to us. But I think the risk of gambling in crypto is not so bad, if we can manage some of the crypto we have then it will be fine and the investment we actually make will not be disturbed because of our pleasure in gambling with crypto.

With the greediness of us humans, I don' think that 10 BTCs will be enough for someone to stay of their lives normal. People will always want more, that is the reason a lot of people are wanting to earn more, to bet more on gambling, and the OP is the same. Yeah, many gamblers get depressed when they lose big amount, you can hear a lot of this on the news. The OP looks like a rich guy since he own so many bitcoin that can afford to lose for. If someone here who still playing and hoping to win big money, should see this post and learn from this experience, there is no way in gambling to win big money without spending more aside from the word Luck.

If you lost that large amount of money in gambling then maybe you did not learn any lesson on how to deal with it. You seem too hooked up or addicted to gambling to lose that big. However, most of us who post here complain because those who have big amount to gamble knew their limitations.

Last year I got busted many time from gambling but I learned my lesson never chase your loses. With your mentality that never give up that leads you to your final destination and devastation. Now, you already know the reason why you lost 10 BTC? It's 2019 why not earn and put your money in the bank instead risking it without a high chance of return.

Do not mind the loss because what important is that you learn and have some fun of it. But, If you think that 10 BTC is huge then you have made some addiction on gambling. We cannot confirm that OP has really loss that big amount of money in gambling but this is common in crypto, maybe not happening to him but others surely have that experience or even bigger than this. Actually we cannot say that it's a big amount it's depending on the players capability, for me, I think that is big enough but for others it's just a small amount and they can afford to lose that money.

Actually it is a big amount as 10 Bitcoins right now are 37.000 dollars and that cannot be considered a low amount. I know that when you compare this amount with amount which whales play which can be ten times higher this amount looks like small but it is not. In poor countries you can buy a big house with 37.000 dollars which is a better way to spend this money compared to gambling.

In gambling you can either lose or win no matter how much amount you are betting so don't get much amount which is not affordable for you.I saw many stories related to the gambling losses with huge amount in my friend circle so keep your mind clean while betting and aware of how much money you are using for gambling.

I made a loss in 2018, how much exactly, I have no idea.
I reckon it's probably somewhere in the 0.30 BTC region, so not that much actually.

I lose my money to gambling and many people too. I suggested to the people who are playing gambling must better if they are going to use their extra money so incase they will be lose it in playing gambling you can still have money too and if you are lucky you can win and you can have many cash for sure. Im so sad that you lost 10 bitcoin in your money but it's your decision to play .

I think ive made profits when it comes to gambling in 2018 but not a massive one. Probably about 0.1 BTC for the entire year. It's been very turbulent last year though. I made some good runs on tennis championships, only to come back and lose on NBA(while I bet heavy on favorites and they end up losing). Win or Loss, its important to learn some lesson out of it though and pick your battles a little more carefully this year. Know your strengths and weaknesses and try to avoid the weakness sections on your sportsbook. Only gamble when you feel confident and happy. Ive made a lot of bets while I was a little down and sleepy which turned into proper gambles and mostly losses. Remember, Knowledge is power.

You are right but every individual has different mindset, if you are practical enough you will spend that money on your needs than risk it hoping you will win. If you  limit yourself and don't chase lost coins you will be fine. I won a bit this year on one day and took a break for a few weeks. When I came back I lost all my previous winnings and at that point I stopped again. In the end I didn't win big and I didn't lose. I learnt my lesson that is: easy come, easy go. Losing is normal to happen because that's always part of the game. You won't be mature enough to sustain and win if we don't experience failures. To be able to gain confidence we should undergo these circumstances, but losing over 10btc was so worst to think about and for me that's our failure why it reached to that amount. I think it has, it is more like discipline not to be addicted to gambling, if you have discipline or self control then you will not lose huge money such as 10 BTC. Well if it's lost 10 BTC it won't lose the whole amount in a single day it must be losing it due to the consistency as well if it lost the match then it has placed the bet with a higher amount than the previous one because to recover all the lost amounts. In the recovering of previously losing bet amount, you would lose more when you try to cover them by playing bigger bets.

Yeah, if he is speaking truth about 10 bitcoins then it is amazed that he has lost his 10 bitcoins and he is alive. If imaginary i lost 10 bitcoins then definitely i have heart attract and may be i am admit in hospital. That's why i am surprised that he has no sad feeling in his thread.

This is why there are gamblers that are buried in debts because of their desire to win and recover their loses they take loans hoping they will be able to return it after winning but the same thing happens, they are losing every time. Agree, but there's one thing of being a dice gambler or other casino games gambler, but for porker you definitely need more experience and strategies before you could win, this exactly what i mean, if you get acquitted in porker game, you will be rest assured to smile often while you gamble unlike dice that has to do with 99% luck. Yes, its true.  A strategy is just a way to win but still there are risks in those strategy. It doesn't work all the time.  That is where you'll need discipline. If you think you're strategy didn't work and you keep on losing after using that strategy, why don't you limit yourself with your bets or if you're disciplined enough, stop playing for that day and wait for other day.  In that way,  you'll stop yourself from losing and losing.

That's too much to take if I were in your shoes. I would never bet that kind of amount in a year, that is way too depressing for me if all that money have gone in gambling. I would like to specifically quote this sentence in your paragraph about not giving up. It is actually advisable to give-up in gambling especially when you are on a losing streak. Im thinking is the smart hedge to gambling large amounts of BTC to also set a small leverage BTC position in times like Decemeber 2018 when the price is beat up and everyone is gloomy.   Then you are risking BTC which may end up worth half as much, not a big deal but also this hedge allows you to possibly recover in future June 2019 from the lost BTC of six months previous.

Its not saving, its a side bet and a kind of counter to this kind of question of oh no I lost **** large amount of BTC.    If it kept going down in worth nobody would moan as much, we all got regrets when it goes up alot and we paid, spent or lost BTC previous as lower values.

Currently the bitcoin is around 12,000$ and having 10 btc is a big amount for anyone, not just the ones living in underdeveloped world. In 2018 the average price of bitcoin was about 6000$, so if the OP has not lost this amount in gambling in 2018, its value may have been doubled by this time in terms of dollars.

Sad to hear this story. But it is better to set a new chapter of your investment in bitcoin for a better ways on earning rather than taking risk and gambling your money. Losing big amount in gambling is really life distruction the way it will stress you everyday until you get move on, on it. I imagine you losing that is like crying and shouting are not enough but youre still believe that one day you will get back all of your loses. When right time comes then it will be back to you again. Losing 10 bitcoin is almost losing a good life for our family,this is a large amount that if we only use in right investments may bring us great fortune and will feed our family until our next generation .

For me this amount is so huge I would kill myself if I just lose it in gambling. Im serious bro, I mean I am not rich, my family is not rich and I am so happy that I am earning money through out the time I am here, another thing is my job but that is a different story since I can save my cryptos here so I can get more profits in the future. If we lose it, 10 btc in this case, in one day or in a relatively short period of time, it will be very painful. But if it is the amount of our loss in a year, it shouldn't be too stressful. For someone who struggles to buy 1 BTC , this loss is serious money.

I lost some of my bitcoins last few years ago in gambling too and I know the feeling it is stressful and I said to my self I need to go back my bitcoins but you know the answer all my losses recover because of the trading. But I earn some now in gambling too because Im better now.
