LPoS is so underrated, it's better than delegated staking (DPoS) as there's no minimum stake and the rewards go out instantly instead of being held in quarantine for months.

Also it's great seeing the staking service providers providing a range of service levels.

Self moderated threads in bitcoin talk have never ended well. It would appear to others your hiding facts and FUD rather than control them with intelligent responses. Which is the best approach in my humble opinion.  FUD control can be tedious I’m sure, and most intelligent people can see thru it, do their own investigations and come to the right conclusions. NIX - top privacy coin in current state with better tech than monero, pivx, etc. Addressless zk transactions, with onchain privacy so strong is doesn't matter if your ip is tracked. LPOS is absolutely the coolest staking I have come across in all of crypto. You can have your coins stored cold offline on soon to be trezor or ledger, and trustlessly lease them to a merchant and stake. Your coins are 100% safe cold stored away, you pay 5-15% staking fee depending on the merchant to cover their vps and other costs, and when you hit a stake the 5% of the stake reward is split up and distributed automatically to you and the merchant. Many merchants popping up, really cool to see.

Many cryptos are built on speculation or hype.  NIX is building real world use cases and a marketplace which is bringing real world value to the NIX. IMO projects and blockchains need users and real world use cases and to bring real value to their chain otherwise they won't make it. The first is a thief, the second arrogantly wanted to join the team, the rejection triggers mental problems in this person, leading to fud without reason.
This is a revolutionary project on privacy, a project with a protocol patented in the US, no ICO, none of the zoin community was left out of the project, it was enough to fill out the request correctly, nothing more! Charlie Shrem? I don't pay too much attention to this person, because in my opinion the role is not too important for the scope of the cryptocyrrency. maybe for some people it will be different from my opinion and that is a common thing  :)

Shrem was one of the first people who bought Bitcoin and created a business around it. He seems to have a fine nose for good projects, he is very well connected in the crypto scene, he can speak very well in front of cameras and has created a brand around himself. Not many people have achieved what he has.

Seriously, I see a really good attempt being made at covering up old news about this Charlie guy, if memory serves right, he was one of the first people I heard about back when I was getting into Bitcoin. Terms like "Bitcoin's first criminal" was a common slang that was used to mention this guy.

Staking on the ledger? That's really a great feature. With the centralized exchanges and couple of incidents like some of them being hacked I really look forward once the guys launch their DEX manager. I think this project has a real use case once there is a bigger adoption for crypto as the payment solution.

Yes, the team is great. I'm a big fan of this project and the people behind it. It's just sad that so much happens in the background and this project get so little attention. Also the community was much more active on Twitter few months ago. This project needs also the community to be successful. So people out there: Spread the word about NIX!

This project is top. Alone if you take the value as privacy coin this project should be valued much more. The privacy settings are more private than those of Monero. Plus the value as privacy ecosystem, plus dApps that they are building and will be build.

If you are speculating that NIX will pump if BTC does you are missing the point. This team is building this project tirelessly through this bear market. And I guess at some point this project gets the attention it deserves.

Marketing seems also to ramp up in the background. Charlie Shrem and Curtis Green joined the team and that for a reason. Podcasts and I guess also TV interviews are beeing planned. And don't forget the TV documentary On Demand by Rob Lowe.

So much is happening but for now it is relatively quite around NIX.

NIX submitted an application to binance, if the binance would add NIX, the price of the coin will go at least up to  50$. Marketing will be done in a timely manner, there is no point in doing marketing on the bear market, the first 20 CMC is a matter of time

They applied also for Bittrex and many more exchanges. They applied also for Beaxy and the CEO Artak Hamazaspyan seems to be open to list NIX. At least that is how I interpret his comments on Twitter. So many NIX gets listed there soon.

I always love privacy coin i think they represent well what blockchain is about, the ability to transfer anonymously without been trace is awesome imo, this NIX is another solid privacy coin that needs to be hodl for long term, imagine such a small supply, just 42m with such low price - thanks to bear market- it's a no brainer, this coin will definitely fly once the market has regain it's sanity ;D, definitely watching 👀 this.

So what other dApp ideas could be interesting?

What I was asking myself: Is it possible (and does it make sense) to implement a referral program for the DEX Manager? A smart contract that reduces i.e. the transction costs and give the both parties a financial motivation to use and recommend the DEX Manager.

Idea: What about a dApp where you can insure yourself against i.e. cancelled flights.

Marketing idea: It would be great if projects like Komodo, Blocknet, NIX Platform and others would show support for each other. Showing people what value adds to them and vice versa. A marketing campaign that focuses on supporting each other would have great positive effects imo.
Only Blocknet is talking right now about NIX. Komodo seems to be more reluctant in promoting NIX Platform atm.

It is a difficult judgment call when it comes to people and their actual impact on a project's success. Sometimes they are just some "advisor", get paid for it and don't contribute anything.

maybe, they are looking for the right solutions. and probably still doubt their effectiveness. for today it is a normal phenomenon.

Of course it is difficult. I can only assume that Charlie will have a more active role as advisor of NIX Platform. Honestly I can not imagine that the NIX team hired him for having his face on the website. Since the begining every decision the team made was in favor of this project. When someone joins the team this person needs to add value for the project and in case of Charlie I guess it will be beyond showing his face on the website. Fingers crossed.

Could anyone explain what happend to Zoin, Nix and Noir? I don´t understand what has happend.
I have read the Zoin Thread and understand nothing.

Zoin rebranded to Noir , all info is/was on discord. Don't no about team right now, I sold all my Zoin/Noir after swap. But all this has nothing to do anymore with NIX.

Marketing idea: Don't ignore questions on Bitcointalk that you get from interested people. If you can't give an answer to that question at least let the person know that you can't comment on that topic. Don't underestimate the passion and interest that some people have in bringing forward this project although they are not team members.

Marketing idea: Be more active on other channels like Bitcointalk. On Discord the NIX team is probably the most active. Many ideas and informations are shared there. But many people don't want to join Discord and many don't even know about NIX. By being more active and by sharing informations from Discord on other channels you can reach much more people.

Unfortunately many project just only sees bitcointalk as dumping ground for their project, once they have succeeded in creating that Ann page and make few people aware of the project, they abandoned the page and neglect any further questions about the project, if discord is such a place to create awareness while bother coming to this community? Do your announcement on discord :-\

It's ok if you can't imagine that that is a possibility and maybe you are right, but just getting the face onto the website of a popular person turned out to be worth the money in the past. I hope those times are over and everyone involved actually has to deliver something.

I can't be sure, of course. But my experience with the NIX team is that they try to add value to this project and not hype anything. They add only persons to the team that give real value to their project. No hype and fake. So I guess that they have discussed with CS all details of their collaboration.

And I have to admit that I like also Charlie Shrem. This man has shown some balls in the past. Balls that many don't have. He has gone to jail and came out not as a broken man. So he has my deepest repect. I would be glad to meet him some day.

Marketing idea: Sometimes I see on Twitter comments of team members below some posts of potential partners like big community/social websites and exchanges. That's imo not in any case the best way to go to make them aware of NIX. Twitter can be a good medium to get in contact with people but not for getting in contact to make serious business inquiries. It can give the impression of lack of seriousness, laziness and lack of commitment.
Another point is that you rarely get in contact with the right people especially when you try to get in contact with bigger companies. Usually you have contact with the social media content manager and sometimes they reply but don't understand what you do and what value you could add to the company. Imo it is a much better approch to try to understand who are the right persons to get in touch. After having a personal contact with a person that matters in your case you can send them a pitch deck.

Imo NIX Platform project is much more than exploding prices.

From what I see here and on the official Discord the tech progress is going quite well. With the correct marketing campaign behind it I think that NIX can really go further than many thought. That being said, what I think is missing is NIX being listed on a major exchange. IDAX is not that popular worldwide, I think it would be a major step forward if NIX appeared on Binance or Bitfinex.

Yes good article. This is why we are in NIX. Mobile Flare and mobile staking due out with a week or two. Very very big development. Also would be neat to see adopting mimblewimble and being the first proof of stake coin to use it, since our ghostnode network can make the privacy even stronger.

Kucoin is already one of the top exchange and has no verification or kyc for up to 2 btc withdraw per day. If crex wants to list us for free then sure, but otherwise I am not sure it makes much sense to pay for a listing there, when we already have kucoin which is superior, and we will soon have NIX swaps in Flare wallet since we were just added to instaswap.

If you compare NIX to some other anonymous projects like Monero or Zcoin, what are te differences and also the pro and cons of NIX? I´m also a lon term holder of nix, sice the coin swap from Zoin to Nix. The price is a little bit down these days, but i think this will change in the near future, because the dev team deliver some amazing stuff and i think we are at the beginning of something very unique. How To Launch and Manage Your Masternodes Within Flare

We have made these steps super simple for Flare. To be clear, Masternode Management in Flare does not run your actual masternode server for you, that is something outside the scope of this tutorial. Instead, Flare acts as the owner wallet for the masternode(s) where you can control, monitor, receive rewards, and activate your masternode(s) instead of using a core blockchain wallet.

1 ) Send the required amount needed for a masternode to your Flare Wallet.
2 ) Once confirmed, Flare will automatically detect that you have enough coins to run a masternode.
3 ) Lock your coins to ensure your funds can not be spent (your coins will disappear from your spendable balance while they are locked).
4 ) Flare generates a masternode key for you to use, however you can change it along with your IP address if you have a key already generated from your server.
5 ) Click activate. Your masternode will broadcast itself to the network and change its status to PRE_ENABLED indicating that the activation was successful.
6 ) Done. Repeat steps 1-5 for multiple masternodes.
