Ethereum price surged significantly towards $270 versus the US Dollar, and jumped sharply vs bitcoin. ETH is in a major bull run and it seems like the price might even hit $300.

We saw a sharp increase in Ethereum price above $220 resistance against the US Dollar. The ETH/USD pair gained pace above the $225 resistance and rallied above the second target discussed this week. It broke the key $240 and $250 resistance levels to move further into a positive zone. The uptrend was such that the price gained more than 20% and even tested the $270 level. The price is currently well above the $260 level and placed nicely above the 100 hourly simple moving average.

Ethereum is now making its move...and though a little bit too late relative to the Bitcoin upward swing, I think nobody is complaining and holders are getting happy. I love Bitcoin but many of us are also into Eth and we love Vitalik Buterin, the man behind this cryptocurrency platform some are considering to be the heir apparent to Bitcoin but is also facing its own challenges in terms of adoption and innovations.

Can we expect Ethereum to fight against all odds and get into $500 before the end of 2019?

We do not yet know how high our cryptocurrency will rise this time, however, what we are seeing now cannot but please us. Yesterday the ethereum price was $ 238, and today it is $ 267. Bitcoin from yesterday's level a little over $ 8,000 rose to $ 8,268. The price rises directly with huge jumps. So far, it is very difficult to predict anything. It is better to simply observe a good growth in the cryptocurrency market, especially since we have not seen this for a long time - since 2017.

It's possible and probably it will be happened within next 24 hours or so. Along with institutional investment, a lot of Chinese too are investing in altcoin which may pull alt to moon soon.

If bitcoin continues to make move like it's making now 300 is most definitely possible but if ETH decides to make a bull run of its along with BTC's then the price could very well go above 500.

I am kind of thinking this is the effect of the increase in bitcoin. and my hope is that ethereum is more stable and that investor confidence in the ICO will grow like 2017.

It won't take too long if the current trend of ethereum continues,Bitcoin price getting stable and other coins were bumping huge now which means people are entering into the market with new money so we can find that we are going to see one more bull run this year with massive coinmarket cap rise.

ETH price did not surge to anything USD-wise. the only thing that it did was to drop a little against bitcoin while bitcoin price was rising big times. the result is ETH showing USD gains while it is not an actual "gain" because people didn't really buy ETH with USD for it to rise, they just did some triple arbitrage between ETH, BTC and USD to make profit and the result was the USD rise while dump against bitcoin.

Actually, all altcoins are pumping now, follow the lead of bitcoin. It's not necessary to use technical analysis to give a prediction that ETH will reach $300. I even expect a much larger number than that, maybe around $500-600. However, we have to wait and see bitcoin's movement first.

We may never know. If bullrun will take its fortune this year, $500 per ETH is a possibility. We're only reaching the end of the second quarter but almost eveeyone here is feeling positive about the situation.

yes now I have see Ethereum will heading towards $ 270 and if the bullrun market lasts until the end of years 2019 then as you say Ethereum will to reach $ 500 or even more than that. yes you're right, it doesn't matter how much in the $ the most important is btc. if ethereum hasn't reached 0.035btc it's still cheap. Last April, before bitcoin was pumped, the price of ethereum was more than 0.035btc, and now after there is an increase, it drops to 0.032btc. so this can't be said as an increase for ethereum.

The ETH price on $260 was a resistance but if this price level persist above it then the ETH price may touch the next resistance level of $300. After this ETH must go towards $500 or even $900. This recent pump has been a treat to watch, that is for sure. But I am not sure how much fuel it still has to push higher, there have to be a slight consolidation in the coming days, we are going up way too fast, so the chance of going down rapidly as well is getting higher.

The behavior of cryptocurrency is still vogue to me. Maximum prediction failed from my observation. So $300 is very possible within few days but if BTC falls from the $8000, ETH will falls from the present price. So stability of market is the main fact for crossing $300 of ETH price.

I think the target can reach $ 300 and even exceed that target because the current conditions seem to have entered the altcoin session except that the impact of the ethereum network is chaotic and it is very difficult to transact if you don't use high gas

I am very glad about this since I was so worried last year when the market crashed but now it is looking but like it did end 2016 which is good. My coins gain more value now which is great.

No, this is not a correction or a bullrun. Specifically a bullrun is when investors see great news about an asset. Where are the good news about ETH to see this pump? NOWHERE. This is just a bulltrap. Pumping coins and then dumping them to the exchanges once your target price has been achieved.

This graph didn't happen exactly with the recent dump, some whales dumped the price obviously. Yeah its possible. Touching 300 its not a problem for ETH. Cause pnece ETH was more that 1k. But we need that kind of market condition to reach that level. And at this moment there are many competitors of ETH that also suppressed the price of it. But after eth2.0 announced we saw some good move form ETH. And I think in near future it will touch 300 or higher again.

This is why I don't fancy speculations. When you think the market is recovering, altcoins season approaching, ETH performing strong against BTC and boom, we went down again due to BTC heavy plunge. Not a bad idea having an insight into what's going to happen in the future, but I like to give much concern about the present and make good use of it. Let's see where we arrived at by December for BTC and altcoins.

Not only development activity, but we should see some altcoin market movement because in the past 6 months altcoin market is completely losing their value and there are many other potential active developments but I don't see any movements in terms of their prices.
