Over the past 30 years, salary never goes up, I know because I saw the salary today is same as my first salary 30 years ago, I’m not disclosing my age, so don’t be too paranoia, but the price of everything goes up thru the roof, the only person who salary goes up are (ikr, salary must kept secret because it is case sensitive, don’t tell anyone else!), ok, enough rant! Try to tell your kids to work for a salary in the future, I think they could barely afford a piece of beard!!

This the impact of the current economic system that use fiat as medium of exchange. The inflation of fiat makes people who only have fixed income suffer financial problem. But it will not affect traders(merchants) and other industries. If we want to stop it then we should stop borrow money which there is interest on it. I somewhat agree to what you are saying but not completely. Back in 2004 when I was a college student, I decided to do a job for 3 months during summer time to earn some pocket money. So I joined a call center where my job was to receive inbound customer service call for Airtel customers and I used to get paid 6k INR per month.

I have now come a long way in my life but that particular company still exists and they continue to pay the same salary to a fresher call center agent. But that's not where the story ends because the people keep on changing on that same position!

Broken welfare system and many public employees in the country. It creates a lot of costs that must be paid by everyone else. So you aren't actually paying only for your goods, but to maintain a broken system full of privileges for a select elite.

You know that this isn't true right? 30 years ago or in the 1980s you would expect to have a starting salary of 18,000$ annually and at the present date you are expected to at least earn 50,000$ for anyone who at least finish a college degree, now even if you factor in inflation and 50,000$ for a starting salary is a much bigger bump in price compared to what we have 30 years ago. Now that you have been an employee for more than 30 years than I expect you to at least go over than 50,000$ with the expected salary increases and promotions you jave received in the past.

I'll tell my kid in the future to start aiming for his/her business in the future and produce job that can offer competitive salary to others.

It's just the same in our country. Salary is increasing $1 almost every two years and the means of living is getting expensive which makes life harder each day. Working with minimum wage sometimes can't sustain all our necessities. That's the reason why we need a part time job or business. We have to work and earn double.

Simply call it as inflation and that is the reality and we made it through banks and giving authority to banks for printing money.

In Philippines we have a minimum wage but the salary can increase depending in your performance specially if you are always doing overtime work or there is a holiday increasinng your salary in a day. A group of people protest to increase the minimum wage. It only means that goverment can implement the increase of the salary.

Not all company will give increasing salary for their employee because it depends on the business their running.
But I think in other jobs, you can get a salary that will go up every year or 5 years.
But in the cryptocurrency, if you have many profitable coins in your wallet, you can see the value will increase in one year later or more.
So I think it's not a problem if your salary doesn't go up because you have so many coins in your wallet that are waiting to increase.
And when all the coins you have increased, you can sell the coin to take your another "salary" as your reward to hold the coins for a long time.

Price of everything goes up except salary. My salary also increases by just 1-2% and I don't get even proper bonus but can't help as it's fixed income. In my country, your salary must increase according to your progress and grade, promotion is being done like every 2 to 3 years, and once you pass that promotion, you get promoted with packages increasing too. Normally, salaries should adjust when there's inflation but this is not the case for all countries. In developing countries, people really struggle due to the increasing price of goods while their salary remains stagnant. A lot of other countries are making a change to the salary of other workers especially if that is a work that is in demand or in need of the country. Also, that is 30 years from now and I don't think that they would not make any increase in your salary. That just means that in those years, they do not treasure you as their worker. My first job was paying me around 250$ and I could barely make it, If I had to pay rent probably I had nothing left for food.
But, right not I earned close more than 8 times, and with that, I can afford a mortgage, leasing for the car and once the usual holiday trip, this on top of all the expenses and take into account I also have a child to raise.

I couldn’t agree more, with the price of goods & services continue to go up, the salaries of employees is becoming small each and everyday, your lucky if you’re able to make few savings from your salary but others were drown to debts because there salaries is not enough to cover their needs. That’s why some would fine any other ways to improve there way of life some may even try gambling just to try their luck. Well, its very sad but its the reality!

This is the reason why most of my fellow countrymen work abroad rather than giving all your effort in the land they were born because all it can offer in their plate in exchange for their hardwork is mostly canned goods and noodles. Yes of course, you cannot compare salary to the price of bitcoin, because even if your salary goes up, you are being paid in fiat and fiat is prone to inflation all of the time, this means that even with the increase in your salary, you might not be able to buy more things than you can buy some few years ago, it might be worst to the extent that you can't even buy up to what your salary could buy some few years ago even after a huge raise in salary, so I don't see any reason of comparing the price of bitcoin with salaries been paid.

We just in the same level for year,only money has been printed more so it causes inflation so it makes the price of everything goes up.

This is what happens in late stage capitalism.  Companies are loyal to their shareholders and not to their relatives.  I have relatives that were making more out of high school in the 1980s out of high school that college graduates make now and that is not even factoring in inflation.  It used to be possible for a person to just work a normal job and live just fine, now people are working multiple jobs and still can't afford rent.

That is the problem with this economy especially in third world countries, there is no balance. It takes a long process for the government to pass an increase on the minimum wage. The minimum salary should change depending on the cost of living. Goods don't really go up like forever, they are times they will drop too. Salary is what never changes. I think it all depends on the company where you work for. As for me, the benefits I've earned is that yearly, my salary increases. The inflation rate here is obviously increasing most of the times. I think yours is a special case that you need to take on to your employer if after working for 30 years and you did not get a raise, its either your company does not appreciate your loyalty or the company see's no reason to give you a raise. The price of goods goes up automatically, but as for your salary you will have to ask for it, if you need an increase in salary and you think you deserve it. Hardly will you see any employer that is ready do an increase for you without you asking for it cause they will assume that you're okay with what you're being paid, so for that they wouldn't give you any increase in salary.

So if you know your worth and you know that the salary you're being paid is not worth it, then its up to you to talk about it with your boss or whoever you're meant to talk to about it. LOL, you can only ask for salary when you are working with a private firm, but when you work with government, you have to wait till it gets to your promotion time, and when you are being promoted, it comes with little benefit of increase in salary and the increase too is still not that much to cater for one’s full need.

This is really crazy. I can't believe that your salary has remained constant for 30 years. Here in India, the agricultural laborers used to get around INR 5 three decades pack as the salary. OP, I hear what you're saying, but it's not true for every job.  I made $11/hr in 1996 at a hospital I worked at for a few years (with no raises, by the way), and the starting wage for a related job that I know of that somebody took:  $11/hr.  So yeah, some wages do stay the same while the price of goods & services continue to increase.

On the other hand, I've held jobs where I got yearly raises that well outpaced inflation.  It really depends on what kind of work you do.  And think of this:  if wages never kept up with inflation, every single person would be living in poverty.  So what you're saying does not hold true in all cases.  Not by a long shot.

Yes, this is very true actually. Day by day goods price going high and high though our buy limit also going high but i did not see any developed yet last 10 years. So i think salary is not a big factor here but we have to catch inflation of money so that we will be happy with the salary that we earned otherwise a big amount of salary will not satisfy us.

I don't think that your post is factually correct. The situation varies from region to region. In the EU and the US, the salaries are high enough to afford good standards of living. But the same can't be said about third world nations such as India and Brazil. But even in these nations, the standard of living is continuously going up.

I don't like this kind of company or organization since they are not taking care of you. You see, my friend is working for some people I can't really tell what is his job but usually, he drives his boss to places he wants to be and he is getting paid. 10 years of his service and his salary is not changing, he's mad and changed his work. After that, his boss chased him and raised his salary though after some time he realizes he doesn't want to work there and leave his boss completely. I don't know but all I know is that we should all be working at the same rate they are paying us.

People are the reason of everything, we choose governments and we let them to order anything while we do their orders and then are unsatisfied. Problem is that if you won't work for 500$ (for example), there are a lot of demand of people who will work. So there is demand, there is supply.
