Title: Bitcoin Adoption In Your Country
Post by: CryptoBry on June 08, 2019, 08:22:52 AM

This is for members outside of the United States of America since things going in that country are all on the news but for those countries who are usually outside the radar of the mainstream media, I would like to get updates which can be good and bad, favorable and unfavorable with bitcoin. Here in my country, we have no problem with the government as regulatory bodies are not hindering the growth of cryptocurrency and in fact we have many more exchanges already approved and they can start doing business in 2020. Reading the news in other countries, I am feeling lucky to be a resident here.

What about in your own native land...how's bitcoin adoption been going on? Is there a bright future in there or maybe is it facing a gloomy and cloudy prospect? Let's talk...

Are you from United States?

I think it's hard to stop the growth of Bitcoin. The government can do anything they want but they can not stop people using it. How are they gonna trace someone who will use TOR/VPN.

I think there are 5 to 7 countries who are publicly unfortunate to get the benefit of cryptocurrency. Sooner or later they will change their mind.

In what country you live?

Most of the countries that doesn't have strict rules or haven't established specific law about crypto, transactions are smooth.

No, am not based in USA but somewhere in Asia where adoption seems to be more exciting though we still have China and few smaller countries adamant in their strong negative stand on bitcoin...though of course in China if one has the money there are many ways to own bitcoin. Only time can tell if these countries will eventually put forward a compromise formula so they can open their respective markets to cryptocurrency.

Well, yeah, I know what you mean. And we should be thankful to be situated in a country not closing its doors to financial innovations even if there were some money scams which utilized bitcoin as the mode of payment.

Same goes here in my country, we can do all said things above. In addition, I think many people even teens are involving themselves to cryptos. They are aware of the good things bitcoin as well as other coins can offer to them financially and in their daily lives.  The government here is not against it so we are not having any issues about it.

in my countries where cryptocurrencies only get permission as digital assets, people are permitted to conduct exchange transactions but cannot be made legal payments, because legitimate payments only apply to national currencies. This law indeed limits users from buying and selling goods transactions using cryptocurrency. I feel that this greatly inhibits cryptocurrency growth in my country. but I still support this step. as long as the cryptocurrency is not banned.

Bitcoin is not valid in my country. It is not legal to deal with Bitcoin. A few days ago, two people were arrested in Bangladesh for trading with Bitcoin. It is not legal to deal with the cryptocurrency in our country. In many countries of Asia, the cryptocurrency is not valid as long as India has been arrested several days ago. The cryptocurrency in these countries is still not legally acceptable and is not popular.

In our India today is say it is illegal.And170 lawyers tried to stop Bitcoin in India (Which I don't like). And 6-7 Indian companies are trying so hard not to allow such a big mistake. We do not want all Indian users to close Bitcoin in India. But our government is doing it. But we know that it will not be permanently closed. !!!!!!!

I think most of the country who hate (government) Crypto are from Asia (including South Asia). Some of them as far as I know:
Bangladesh
Nepal
India recent time from the news I heard.

I hope someone will bring a complete list.

Here in my entire country, people are aware of Bitcoin, both bad and good image of it. They marked it is a scam, for those who have bought at last ATH. But for the people who gained profits, they all think positive about it. In my place, only people who were curious about new techs do only know about Bitcoin, one time I have met a guy that worked in our electric provider and he is mining ether and monero, so I was happy that there are people like him in our city. Also I met a guy working at the computer center, he bought Bitcoin and he was happy that he knew I was also engage and this and we exchange information. So far it is a good outcome, I hope there are more people to engage in the Bitcoin Network and adoption is nothing impossible.

I agree, it is very hard to stop the growth of bitcoin most especially now people are interested in bitcoin and I think a lot are already inform about bitcoin. In our country, before they are very afraid to invest in bitcoin because they think it is scam but as the time goes by and as bitcoin holders educate their friends about the uses and what bitcoin can do, they started to invest little by little and I have friends as well who is asking me about investing so I think bitcoin's adoption is increasing in our country.

In our country I could say the adoption is not that much because a lot in our place see bitcoin as a scam. When they here bitcoin they will really say it is scam and most of the people in our country is close minded, whatever explanation they will not accept it that is why it is really hard to convince someone to invest.

Bitcoin is spreading like a wildfire in every country although we can't stop those other countries where their government ban Bitcoin since they don't know how good it will give them in the future. But people on that area are still using as long as they do have some merchants who can accept to trade with them. In my country, Bitcoin is adaptation is widely increasing some of them even use it as a source of payment for some services they do.

We're lucky in our country because we're free to join blockchain and to use cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is actually being accepted by most merchants here even with electric and water companies. We're even paying our tuition fees with Bitcoin and ethereum here. More merchants are actually planning to adopt crypto here and I could say that the progress of Bitcoin and altcoins in our country is continuous.

although a lot of people doesn't know about bitcoin in our country and most of them who knows about it still consider bitcoin as a scam.
other than that the adaptation of cryptocurrency in our country is great the exchange site exclusive in our country is government approve(KYC is optional)
and the banks are cooperating they are also trying to make a stable coin so our country men who are working abroad can
send their money faster. I know it sounds progressive but bitcoin in our country bitcoin still have a bad image because of the scams
our fellow country men did and a lot of people doubted bitcoin because of this.

In my native country people are proposing ridiculous drafts how we should be jailed for 10 years for dealing in cryptocurrencies.
Even holding is a sin for them, maybe the government proposing to start their own cryptocurrencies.

In the country where I live , it's sure not illegal but the government is not supporting the Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies that much , only doing what is needed for people like us to use it.

I haven't seen any places accepting lightning here either , but I hope in the upcoming days it is going to improve for sure ..

You must be from India then. This is just a stupid proposal and nothing more. I doubt the government would actually think of alienating its tech savvy citizens in this manner.

The Lightning Network is not even fully operational and is still undergoing testing which is why its adoption rates are low around the world. It might take several years down the line for the rates to pick up.

In my country Bitcoin adoption is still very poor and many people are still not familiar with it. I could say that is still depending on not very big number of enthusiasts and very few businesses that accepted Bitcoin. I think that some better promotion is needed as well as education of people. Also, government and regulatory institutions didn't defined their attitude towards Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general so that is also a problem.

There's a bright future but many people are still not ready for the bitcoin adoption.
We have a good regulations in cryptocurrency and we soon have more local cryptoexchanges, since many companies are already working with the government. I can proudly say that we can use bitcoin without having any problem with the regulations, so far so good and I do hope that when there's a final regulations, more people will have their own bitcoin and create their own cryptowallet soon.

Here in my country, it is not illegal and the government is not really strict about using bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. It is also gaining attention here but I don't think it's enough since most people still don't know crypto and how it works, plus most businesses are still not open in using crypto for payments. However, I can still say that it has a bright future here in my country.

In my country, the government have not make any move against bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Beside it's warnings on the issue of crypto volatility, the banks, and other government agencies has not been a problem to crypto users as there are more pressing issue the government has to address. In all the number of persona getting involved in bitcoin here in my country is on a steady rise.

Our government accepted crypto like other pro crypto countries, there are exchanges operating licensed by the central bank,  but still the competition are very small. In terms on how people are educated with crypto, I can say only few of the total popular really knows what really is bitcoin as I can still read news that there are people who got scammed by investment scheme, using bitcoin to attract people, well, our government are also combating those scams and I'm hoping they will also help to educate people about bitcoin.

Our country is still neutral against Bitcoin, there are no restrictions but also not legalized.  But seeing the speech of our President who mentioned Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency several times, it seems like Bitcoin here has a bright future.  Just waiting for the right time to wait for the government's decision to legalize it, moreover here many people also enter in the world of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency.

Even i am living in a semi-poor country, bitcoin adoption is not very low. Lots of people know what is bitcoin and cryptocurrency and many have using multiple exchanges. But the problem is, most of the people is looking bitcoin is a get rich method. Like they hope to buy some btc when it is 5k$ and they want to sell it when it is 500k $ in 2 years. They don't care anything about the technology behind it.

Bitcoin is mostly a gray area in Russia

If this is what you wanted to hear. What I mean by a gray area is that there are no laws regulating cryptocurrencies but there are still some regulations (not laws) which can be construed as Bitcoin not being explicitly prohibited. For example, a year or so ago a regulation had been passed allowing government employees and officials not to pay taxes on their cryptocurrency income. That basically means two things. First, that Bitcoin is essentially tax-exempt in Russia, and, second (and most important), that the possession of cryptocurrencies is not illegal per se (as you can't make something illegal tax-exempt)

There definitely is a noticeable difference between adoption before and after the 2017 bull run. I have so many more people around me that are willing to accept Bitcoin as payment form for goods and services that I haven't used my throwaway PayPal accounts much in the last 1-1.5 years.

When the price dipped below $6000 last year people were literally begging me to pay in Bitcoin. For me that's not an issue at all because I replace every satoshi that I spend, so I'm happy to distribute coins amongst more normal folks here.

I must however say that I don't yet feel comfortable saying that I am in Bitcoin since 2013. I either say that I have a few $k worth of it or that I panic sold during the 2018 bear market. Better safe than sorry. This is something I'm sure a lot more people deal with in their personal environment.

Bitcoin adoption in my country is going well. I will not say that it is currently developed in my country but I think it will. Yes, there is still some people that does not want to adopt it but there were some maximalist that will convince them.

In our country, it is the same so I think we are from the same country, the Philippines. Though I am not in the place where most of the people use it, I can feel that the number of people using is increasing since a lot of more of people I know talks about it that is near to urban places. I hope this became mainstream in our country since I want our people to use it more.

Bitcoin still not accepted in my country, but people can use bitcoin as a way to make money. People in my country can buy and sell bitcoin in the local exchange, and it's not just for bitcoin, but the altcoin also traded in that exchange. Although my government still not giving clear regulations about cryptocurrency, not many people from my country have been used cryptocurrency, and many of them still prefer to use the traditional way to make money.

Some companies have managed to register as bitcoin exchange offices and we even have several bitcoin ATMs.
Central bank issued public statement about crypto and said that bitcoin is not money or financial assets but nothing worse than that has happened.
Our local BTC community is small but growing every day and the first merchants started to accept bitcoin.

The presence of a sizable enthusiastic community must be so critical plus there should be fintech companies who are willing to stake their presence on the market. These are two important factors why there can be a healthy level of bitcoin awareness and adoption. Usually, fintech companies are doing the promotions so they can attract more business and revenues. Adoption is not an easy task especially if the government is not so willing to recognize the industry.

Here the adoption is very low and mainly exclusive to people who are near the financial market or youngs that spend most part of their time on the internet. Most people don't know exactly what it is, although almost everyone has already heared about it before.
So far the government didn't do anything towards crypto currency, probably due the fact it's not affecting the local economy very much.

We have an online wallet that supports bitcoin and other cryptocurrency and it is actually registered on SEC. There also some establishments that accepts bitcoin as payment even a public vehicle i saw some that has a board "We accept btc and eth". UK. Adoption has always been pretty pathetic here because no banks would give any crypto business an account. Coinbase sort of have one now but that may be rescinded. There are very few places to spend it. The government hasn't really said much at all.

Verdict - could do better.

It's definitely not what I hoped it would be where we are today. All I hear about nowadays is one shitcoin after the other and how much you can make by trading and investing in them.

Nowadays it's EOS, ADA, TRON, XRP and BNB. I guess people consider themselves to be too late for Bitcoin and Ethereum and hope that one of these coins will follow a similar path and becomes the next big crypto.

I think that we can expect things to turn even more ugly after the next bull run. With each bull run we dig deeper in the various layers of mainstream adoption, and so far 2017/2018 has been the worst adoption layer.

The government in my country has yet to announce its decision about cryptocurrency, and that is wetehre to regulate it or just ban it like all the others, and i think that it has to do with the fact that there is not a lot of people who are using bitcoin or at least haven't been vocal about it in here, but way back in 2017 an central bank official has stated the fact that they approve of crypto currency and they are thinking about ways to utilize the blockchain technology.

My government never talks about it but am pretty sure the politicians hate it. They just don't want to talk about it atall.

The only thing preventing them from acting is because important governments and their allies haven't done so yet. There are few sites am sure they have control of that have strong rules against the promotion of Bitcoin/cryptocurrency.

In my case, it is not entirely illegalised. However, the central bank has issued a warning against the use of btc by the citizens. Though no sanctions exist for using btc but the warning means it is highly unlikely for the government to ever legalise it in my country

in my country (Italy) the bitcoins, the altcoins are well seen and i believe that slowly we can also begin to pay with them for goods and services, the only negative side is that from this year we have to declare them for taxes
In my own country, bitcoin is not yet adopted by our government but we do have local exchanger wherein we can convert bitcoin into fiat so we can buy our daily needs. And as far as i know, our central bank and even some of the big establishments are already making their own study about bitcoin. Hopefully its payment method will be legalized and adopted soon.

Are you sure you sent your post to the right thread?

Regardless, while I definitely agree about Ripple and Binance coins, which are private cryptocurrencies at their worst, but what about EOS (don't know much about the other two)? Why do you consider it a shitcoin? Well, you personally may, of course, for whatever reason. But I quite often, if not to say most of the time, see its trading volumes by far exceeding Ethereum's (at Bitfinex). Definitely not a behavior you would expect from a shitcoin

In my country, Bitcoin has been accepted by our central bank but it is not fully regulated. It is not banned in our country even though there are some instances that Bitcoin has been used by scammers to scam people.

Our central bank allowed us to use cryptocurrency in general but they always give advice to the investors regarding to investing to this kind of investment. There are some establishments at this moment that are accepting Bitcoin and other crypto. I hope in the future, it will increase.

In my country, Bitcoin and cryptocurrency are legalized as the digital asset that can be owned. But it is still not legal as a transaction method. Today, the movement of Bitcoin and its existence in my country cannot be ignored. It will always grow and grow. Here re also several Bitcoin ATM in my country.

This happen in many country. In my country, there is local exchangers and can trade bitcoin with local fiat currency. But for transaction in restaurant or others merchant, still not allowed because there is no regulation on it. I hope in near future, bitcoin can regulated by my government and can use crypto in merchant as payment

Really citizens of Italy will pay taxes of having crypto or bitcoin? But if the tax is small it is still okay so the government will not hindrance to the crypto user in Italy because they are going to pay taxes. In every country the adoption of the bitcoin will increase and they use in different store and yes also services and even paying to their employee they use crypto now bitcoin in my country is like this.

My country (Ukraine) does not regulate cryptocurrencies yet. There were different draft laws, some better than others, but none were passed. The overall situation, however, is pretty good. We have around 1 visit of a crypto exchange per 20 people per month, which is a rather high number. There are various local exchanges to sell BTC for national fiat being transferred to a bank account, although most of these websites are probably Russian. From time to time, there are some blockchain-related talks and other events in big cities, and a small amount of stores accepts Bitcoin as payment. Some politicians declared Bitcoin as their property, more people are just using it without telling anyone, and there are no prosecutions for crypto-related activities.

In my country, Indonesia, the government urges its people not to play in crypto currencies. The state does not guarantee losses by anything caused by crypto currencies. The country does not have official regulations regarding the circulation and transaction of crypto currencies in my country. Therefore, we cannot demand protection of the state if we experience adverse events from the crypto currency. We work with crypto currencies with controls and risks that are all borne alone.

Well, a bright future it is! We have several bitcoin platforms in our country that can be used for transactions involving bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. And from what I've read, one of our government sectors planned to have a nationwide talk about crypto so that people will know how to use it properly. Plus, there are events conducted in our country hosted by known companies supporting crypto. Then there are already merchants accepting bitcoin as a payment for their service. So with all that said, crypto has really a bright future here in our country. And I must say that we are lucky enough to have that.

I did not know Bangladesh is hostile on bitcoin. I had to look it up on the internet.

Although Indian government/bank had been pressuring the community there, it has not been officialy disallowed to use bitcoin and other crypto.

I am from SE Asia and crypto is legal here. It appears that those on South Asia (includin Bangladesh( prohibits bitcoin.

When most of my countrymen heard about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency they label it as a scam investment especially those who don't have enough knowledge about it because there are a group of people here that used the peak of Bitcoin on 2017 and created an investment scheme that promises to make your money grow in just a short period of time.

Our government don't support and mind cryptocurrency here too much, I'm fine with that because they are no news about planning to regulate or even ban it.

You should have many things to thank those in power in your country since they never followed the kind of wrong mindset exhibited by some Asian countries such as China and India. The reality of the whole matter is that no matter how we downplay the governmental role in the spread of bitcoin and cryptocurrency, it would be so hard without the support from people manning the government. Lucky are the citizens of those countries who are opening the market for cryptocurrency and the government is not using its power to suppress it just because they think they gonna lose control of the economy because of bitcoin.

I don't agree with that.

The whole reason that people have less economical freedom is because govenments pop up everywhere trying to dictate every aspect of economy and life. It's way easier to spread Bitcoin adoption without governments than with governments. If it weren't governments with their harsh regulations slowing down technological advancements throughout the last decades, we would be way further in terms of progress right now.

Governments are corrupt and lack the understanding and will to allow something like Bitcoin to gain ground rapidly.

Just one factor that many merchants who still refuse bitcoin as payment system is because the government still ban it. I'm pretty sure if the government has regulated it again and accept bitcoin to be use as payment system then I'll find many merchants who accept it. As far as I know, several online stores in my country can use Bitcoin as a means of payment for the services and products offered.  But this possibility still exists, until the government has decided on cryptocurrency and on the ridge of the foreign exchange market in general.  In fact, today there are no legal grounds for banning cryptocurrency, but someone can always find opportunities to make problems for users of cryptocurrency.  First of all, it concerns the tax services, which can always trace the connection between the standard of living of a certain person and his real income.  So far, the cryptocurrency market is in the shadow.

It's a shitcoin because it doesn't experience much actual use. People think it's processing a lot of transactions, but most of these are bots sending transactions back and forth.

As for EOSs trading volume being higher than the volume Ethereum is generating, I'm not sure if I have seen EOS top Ethereum in volume on days where EOS isn't being pumped or dumped.

https://messari.io/onchainfx

There you can see that Ethereum has a 24H volume of $262 million, while EOS is just shy of $80 million in 24H volume.

Crypto adoption is slow and confusing in my country.
The country has no cryptocurrency related laws at the moment while the government and court ocassionally makes different orders based on situations that sometimes seems good for crypto while mostly seem to illegitimatize it. Merchants are accepting payments specially in touristic areas, people are being able to pay bitcoin for coffee and clothes.
There are no online exchanges or a OTC one because the country issues no license for it.

What about in your own native land...how's bitcoin adoption been going on? Is there a bright future in there or maybe is it facing a gloomy and cloudy prospect? Let's talk...

I am not glad with my government because now a days, my government against the bitcoin, may be government can't handle the bitcoin price. Actually the main reason is our bankers are not happy with bitcoin or crypto currency, they are fully against of it, that's why government is confused with bitcoin. But may be in coming days, situation will be better.

I'm also glad to be in a country that believes in the technology of cryptocurrency, I could not have acquired all the things that I want to buy if not to cryptocurrency and the policy of my country towards cryptocurrency, I can easily buy and sell Cryptocurrency with ease here.
Begrateful for those of you who don't have a rigid government, are closed to technological developments, and have too many rules. usually developed countries give any freedom of innovation to grow, such as cryptocurrency. in my country crypto its still prohibited, but it does not make a hindrance for me, because there are no raids here for the prohibition they have made

The government in my country does not prohibit having bitcoin or cryptocurrency, but it may not be used for payment instruments. The majority use bitcoin as an asset and trading crypto. I think and I hope there is still a chance, maybe 10 years to 20 years to come there will be positive regulation. Thanks.

My country is still in the infant stage of crypto adoption due to the low levels of technological advancement here. The people are more inclined to the old way of purchasing items, thus the use of the paper money. With the few ones knowing how the digital systems works, there are merchants here who facilitate the smooth transaction from fiat-to-cryptocurrency and vice versa in my country. Bitcoin can be used to pay utility bills like TV satellite renewal and mobilephone airtime.

I hear a lot that India wants to ban crypto, but where are the proves. I haven't read any official statements of the government

I live in Ukraine. In our country, no one does cryptocurrency regulation at all. In 2017, there were some attempts by the government, but this did not end with anything, and after the fall of cryptocurrency in 2018, the state stopped being interested in them at all. Thanks to various exchanges and ordinary exchangers, you can easily exchange cryptocurrencies for fiat money or vice versa and transfer them to a visa or master card. The state now does not interfere in any way with the distribution of the blockchain in my country, but it should be noted that it does not help its development.

I am looking forward that sooner every country’s that having bad impressions for our Virtual currency here will realize how important this is and support us for longer time

Same with me. I think banks and things are difficult to use and I couldn't get Paypal to work so I was never able to buy anything since I had no way to pay. Now thanks to bitcoin there are plenty of online shops that accept bitcoin as a payment method. I don't shop offline anyway. Online is so much better and cheaper. I get what I want right to my door, all thanks to bitcoin.

in general the rules made by oterisasi, clearly do not recognize as a legitimate payment instrument, although it does not prohibit exchange into fiat. but with developments that continue to increase with crypto, one day it will surely be recognized that it only requires clear rules because the state must be thinking of seeing profits and losses if it must recognize crypto.

Agree, soon other countries that decline cryptocurrency especially bitcoin will already adopt its uses... In our country, online wallet was designed to use for faster transactions even you are away from home... Now, even bank already accept bitcoin... Its a great innovation towards our country..

It is great either way.

I mean that is much better than Bitcoin being banned right? I think it is better to hold onto it until it makes a great change and just sells it after that. As far as I know, that kind of regulations do not affect your transactions outside your country, that just works at your country. In our country, the adoption is not that good but the regulation is great.

Bitcoin is investment, and investment is an asset that is stored for the long term or short term, where the value increases. In my opinion, bitcoin investment is equal to property investment or gold because in the future the value increases. What distinguishes bitcoin investment is that there is no physical because it is stored in a digital wallet.
In my country the government is very flexible which does not prohibit but allows investment, provided it is not for payment of transactions.

There are a few cafes and restaurants in my country that accepts Bitcoin and unfortunately those cafes and restaurants are located in the metropolis. Awareness of Bitcoin in our country is very low. You'll be surprised that maybe 2 to 3 out of 10 knows what Bitcoin is and even if they know Bitcoin exist, they are not interested because it is more used in scams.

You're lucky to have few cafes accepting bitcoins in your country. In my country, you will not find a single shop or market which will accept bitcoin. I think 1 out of 1000 people uses bitcoin in my country or maybe even less.
But this may be worse than what you think, and it is not lucky. With the perception that Bitcoin only used in scams. This will negatively impact the thinking of people in this country. It will limit the reliability and growth rate of Bitcoin in this area, so it is necessary to change people's perceptions of Bitcoin.

In the first place you didn't name the country in which you are referring to or that you claimed is your country for some of us to access your submission. Here in my country Nigeria adoption of crypto currency is still low and we hope that more people will get to know about the advantages of crypto currency over fait current. We don't pay tax for any form of crypto currency transaction and if not until you tell someone what you do to earn extra income they will not know let alone the government be aware to start chasing you for tax. So, at the moment, doing crypto currency business here is encouraging because you will make huge some of money without paying tax.

I always symphatize with people who understand the value of bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrency market and yet they find the government to be not open to this innovation as politicians are afraid that they gonna lose the financial control they held since time immemorial (a wrong mindset, to say the least). In your case, there is no official ban but development on the cryptocurrency adoption is almost on the halt as people could not easily move their coins into real cash...not unless one will go outside of the county maybe. In other words, the difficulties involved can make anybody into bitcoin slowly discouraged. Now, I am suggesting that those with bitcoin or cryptocurrency find ways to have their voices be heard by the government as I am sure there will be some leaders open to this new technology.

I guess Venezuela counts as mine so far.

Here they are too busy like with every "authoritatian" regime trying to make their own coin succeed. They blocked via DNS filtering some social networks sites(They are planning to block all in the future) and practically all sites that can get you Bitcoin.

However, the hidden fact is that some people involved with the dictatorship is buying a lot of mining equipment and making huge farms with the money that is from the resources of the state to profit out of it for their own pockets.

Otherwise you can use it relaxed and escape the huge inflationary rate that is inside here if you're careful enough. Can also perform some actions for Bitcoin and make more money than a lot of regular jobs inside here for now. Some, especially requiring a college can pay more but it's normally between $200-$500 anyways. I know, crazy.

I believe Cryptocurrency due to its P2P  Decentralized nature will be hard to stop irrespective of any nations jurisdiction . Cryptocurrency generally is unstoppable . Country like india is planning to  place ban on Cryptocurrency which is not good enough for their national development . Privacy coin like Monero, Zcash and Veil will thrive in future. No government can ever ban these class of cryptocurrencies . They are complete privacy coin with the best anonymity , they cant be tracked. These coin will have better future because i observe the Government and Banks doesnt like cryptocurrency .

I live in Ukraine. We do not have a ban on the use of Bitcoin, but for him nothing and not to buy. In fact, now Bitcoin is just a means of investing. Like for example stocks or bonds. We have special exchangers in the city, where you can exchange Bitcoin and get cash, or you can exchange crypto on the crypto-exchange and transfer them to a VISA or Mastrcard card but with a commission of 3-5%. Mining in my country is developed quite well. But mostly it is not industrial mining, but private. It's really bad if the government does not understand the benefit of blockchain, because of their incompetency to regulate it, they just go with their last resort of banning it. This does not give opportunity to the citizens under that country to improve their lives and look for better opportunity, your government have to be educated that blockchain is the future, and it will kill centralization.

In my country, many companies have implemented bitcoin technology, namely the blockchain to increase efficiency and productivity related to global competition. Without efficiency, the products produced cannot compete.
The crypto transaction in my country is included in the futures trading regulation because it cannot be used for payments.

In my country its lucky that bitcoin is already regulated and many big businesses accepted btc such as payments and for online transactions, and so far its already popular among people and many of my fellow countrymen are invested in btc, especially to those who are wants to earn profit in btc. Because the government considered that it can help a lot to the people.

That is great, if that is the case.

I don't still read any information about how the government reacts or comment into Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies. All I know is that Bitcoin is regulated and accepted in our country but still, only a few uses it and accept it as a payment. We still use exchanges to fully use our BTCs to pay bills, buy some game credits and load.

This will continue to push the market so that trading volumes will continue to increase. Bitcoin's prospects are very bright and I'm sure if people will continue to join in the crypto world.

In my country, there is no problems with Bitcoin. The government treats the situation with cryptocurrencies as neutral and loyal rather than negative. Cryptocurrency does not have an official status, but no one prohibits their use.

Bitcoin here in my country is not legally accepted. I mean, it is not legally recognized by the government. The good thing here is that they seem not to care. They are not even worried about its existence. And so, everybody can create their own Bitcoin wallets, spend them in restaurants, stores, and other online apps that accept Bitcoin. But the thing here is that it cannot be mentioned when one deposits or withdraws or open bank accounts.

Bitcoin is treated neutral by our government for the past years and we enjoyed earning from Crypto currencies without tax. Hopefully that our government will keep stance neutral as it will attract more people in our country to joined the investments in which it will also help the Bitcoin market to become more healthy.

To be honest everything seems so fine in my country so far, there are a lot of people who investing in BTC or other cryptocurrencies. BTC has investors from different level of ages, doesn’t matter young or old. People are very positive about crypto, especially for BTC. I think i’m a bit lucky because many people in my country are aware of the details about btc. The adoption of btc is better than i expected :)

I am from India and here the situation is getting worse by the day. Ever since the rumors came out that Bitcoin will be banned by the government, a lot of people have sold their coins and quit. The last local cryptocurrency exchange closed down last month, due to the harassment from the authorities. The mainstream media has also become quite negative regarding crypto.

It seems to me that in your country the very first problem is the lack of Freedom of Speech.  You, as a citizen of your country, can request a review of the government’s decision on cryptocurrency.  But it seems to me that, with regard to Libra, you may also have to forget, since the United States Congress will not allow Libra to be a competitor of the dollar.

Dont be so worry, as far as I can see you are from the same country as me. Dont be exaggerated as well about other's opinion who think the bad side of bitcoin transactions. There is no signs that our government will ban crypto in general, dont you remember one of the main idea of our new elected President on his campaign months ago. i dont wanna make it sound negative but it is what it is ,sadly here in our country the percentage of population here that knows about crypto is less that 10% , sadly because of ignorance there is a side that people here believe that bitcoin is a scam because many investment schemes here use bitcoin as a mode of payment and thats the problem when greed is more dominant to people investing in schemes they do not fully understand.

I don’t agree. For example in my country Bitcoin adoption is very good. Not only bitcoin, my people also invest their money in some altcoins. For example Binance IEO’s are very popular as well. In my community crypto adoption is very good and the number of crypto investors is increasing everyday more. But i hope the adoption will be much better all around the world in the next years.

Well in my country bitcoin adoption is really moving fast. There are so many people that is now slowly believe in bitcoin, because bitcoin os really amazing and many people really see its amazing profit in return from their investment. I see that the people is really wanted to have bitcoin because they saw that bitcoin is becoming more precious than gold.
Same is here in my country, even the low level of people who are not much aware about cryptocurrencies have come to know much about cryptocurrencies. This has now caused a large scale increase in usage of bitcoin as investment as well on transaction needs.

As the government isn't that supportive there are little group of people who fear to use bitcoin. Maybe in the future they too will start using it.

Most of the countries that doesn't have strict rules or haven't established specific law about crypto, transactions are smooth.

Agree, that all countries will indeed have different rules. because it is only natural for the state to give the best authority rules so that it will not be a mistake that will harm the country.
if there are already clear rules it will make it easier and there is a sense of calm to be able to make transactions with no fear and run smoothly. at least there is legal protection to make transactions well

We all know that banks are being closed because of Bitcoin. Only 4% of gold is added in Bitcoin and the price is hitting $13K and many people claim according to their technical analysis that Bitcoin will hit 100K this year. It can be a rumor but it could be happened. So here I am going to explain that whatever anything which is expected to be happen in upcoming couple of years.

Before I explain, I appreciate you for the appreciation and courage you've given me in last technical analysis, So Do you think that Bitcoin will hit $1 Billion ?

It is possible and it will be happened too, But how ?

Are you Surprised ?  :o

As you know that Banks are being closed, so whatever they will do before closing is to print as many Dollars as they can to buy Bitcoin as because their market (the Bank) is being closed,  which will create a lot of inflation, a lot of inflation which you cannot imagine, this inflated money will be invested in Cryptocurrency. Like Bitcoin, Ethereum, XEM, XLM, TRON, DGB, DOGE, XRP, IOTA and in most popular coins, the IMF will be closing soon because of Bitcoin. But there will be alot of inflation. Because of this inflation, people will demand to increase their wages, so this will be a kind of nuclear attack, the ICE CREAM cone we were purchasing in 50 cents is now around $5, this will be around $50-200 in a few years. the basic wage in the USA is around $8-$10/h, this will be around $80-$200/h, Master Card and VISA make $5 trillion transaction per day, after when the inflation will increase too much, their system will be failed and they will not be able to handle it, so Crytocurrency will be taking its place. The total wealth of the World will increase from $200 trillion to $20000000000 trillion before closing the banks, so we can say that Bitcoin will hit for sure $1 Billion in next few years.

My country allowed some fintech companies to set up their business in one of the economic zones, several bitcoin exchanges are given licenses by the government to operate here and a well-known local bank had established its first bitcoin atm in the capital of this country. It means the bitcoin adoption in my country continuous and government welcomes it even there is no law legalizing it. Some remittance companies are using cryptocurrencies like bitcoin to speed up the sending of money to its destination. Bitcoin is already to known some businesses in my country but they are still reluctant to use it as payment.

Correct! +1
There are many countries that are blocking their citizens to join the global changes. They might feel some strange regarding with cryptocurrencies and I do think that they treat crypto as a threat with their economic stability.
Well, we just seek and pray that our own country will be giving the opportunity for the people to engage with this such activities. We have all freedom to join whatever we want as long as it would not deprive others right.

At least they not make it illegal, because in some countries, bitcoin already illegal thing so people maybe afraid to use it. If it is even not legal yet, but in Indonesia people still can use it but they take the risk by themself.

Maybe not just yet, it might be a matter of time until the Indonesian government makes new regulations. Bank Indonesia has warned the Indonesian people not to use bitcoin as a transaction because it is risky, well if there are agencies that criticize it usually the government will take action in the next few years. Like illegal cellphones yesterday, didn't the government get criticism from official distributors regarding illegal cellphones, so the Indonesian government made regulations that prohibited illegal cellphones. And this can happen to bitcoin too in the future.

Well, in my country the government doesn’t talk much about cryptocurrency. There is no regulations or they don’t try to legalize it until now. But at least the government doesn’t try to prevent the bitcoin adoption, i mean people can join the crypto industry without fear. They buy btc and sell. Almost everyone knows about Btc and crypto market and many people prefer to invest in BTC. So i think Btc adoption process is actually good in my country. We didn’t face any problem until now.

In fact, We already  10 exchange that accepted bitcoin as online payment and affiliated with different categories such as Billings, Remittances, sending money, mobile load and more. Also the average of Bitcoin and bitcoin believers here are increasing its level too.

Basically, the country has not embrace the world of cryptocurrency but appreciated the true gospel of the Blockchain and Bitcoin the main stream. Hope they legalize cryptocurrency in the country to give a full adoption in the country.

In our country, there are plenty of users that are already knowledgeable on how to use Blockchain Technology. They have adopted it in different platforms but if we are talking about Bitcoin alone then people that are not knowledgeable or does not even know what Cryptocurrency is, thinks that it is a scam or fraud that will only take their money away. Bitcoin adoption in our country will take a lot of time because there are only few teachers that are willing to teach it to others. They are scared that people might get greedy and abuse it. They can also use it in scams that might take advantage of others so Bitcoin users in our country are very secretive.

Here in the Philippines,  there are some mobile apps like coins.ph and abra where you can remit money using cryptocurrencies like BCH, XRP, ETH and of course BTC. The function is mostly used by Filipinos abroad who would like to send money to their loved ones. People buy, hold, and trade bitcoin using the said app and its gaining reputation in the public since I first used it some years ago. The use of cryptocurrencies here in the Philippines is not prohibited, so people can use it freely.

Bitcoin can be said is still foreign in my country, especially in the place where I live that has very little internet coverage, I hope that in the future everyone here will know bitcoin like me.
Your condition is the same as mine, in my country Bitcoin is still not can to fully accepted and the development of technology here is not as sophisticated as that of foreign countries. only some people adopt Bitcoin in my country, and the rest people know nothing about this currency.
In a large scale, we can weigh the adoption of crypto as like in the early stage, therefore it's not expected that all countries will accept crypto and we will a rampant usage on it. At this stage, bitcoin is mostly treated as a good investment that it's purpose to be a decentralized currency.

So I can say, that's already dude, sooner there will be some progress towards growth in your country.

Here is the current situation regarding Bitcoin Adoption in the Philippines:

1. While Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are under regulation and therefore legal and people are free to use them, the central bank clearly and repeatedly emphasized the possible risks in using them.

2. Cryptocurrencies especially Bitcoin may be legal but they are not recognized as currencies. They cannot be considered as such because they are "neither issued or guaranteed by a central bank nor backed by any commodity."

3. There are already at least 10 regulated cryptocurrency exchanges here. However, they are registered in the central bank as services in line with payment and remittances and the like.

4. Despite being ruled out as currency, we have restaurants and cafes here that accept Bitcoin payments. We have Bitcoin ATMs as well.

5. Several of our major banks here are already poised toward blockchain and cryptocurrency. One having had a partnership with "Ethereum-based Blockchain, Consensys." A handful are also preparing to create their own stablecoins.

6. There are so many positive developments here regarding Bitcoin or cryptocurrency adoption in general.

In many countries, people know almost nothing about Bitcoin, but even in these countries there are places that accept Bitcoin as payment. But these are isolated cases and this is not enough so that for example I could say that Bitcoin is adopted in my country. I think only after the governments allow Bitcoin to use at least in parallel with traditional fiat currencies, then the adoption of Bitcoin will be massive.

I think that the general trend in the development of society in the world is aimed at obtaining greater knowledge in the world of digital technologies.  Each country is trying to do everything to ensure that the life of the citizens and the government of the country is at a high-tech level.  Based on this, despite the many opponents of cryptocurrency, highly developed countries will introduce High-tech including cryptocurrency.  In my country, Bitcoin is already beginning to actively use and even a cryptocurrency has been created equivalent to the national currency, Although there are still no legislative solutions yet.

That won't happen anytime soon, even in my opinion it won't even happen in the next 1 or 2 decades. By accepting bitcoin or other crypto assets as a means of payment, the government and the central bank will lose power to regulate financial stability. Not to mention there is still an assumption that bitcoin is prone to use for crimes such as money laundry, terrorism funding, tax evasion, and others because with the decentralization system, bitcoin cannot be monitored by any party.
There are several conditions for something to be used as a means of payment such as money, including,

1. Portability, easy to carry anywhere.
2. Durability, the resistance of the object.
3. Divisibility, Can be broken down into smaller units.
4. Standardization, has clear standards.
5. Recognizability, globally recognized.
6. Stability of Value, the stability of the value of the object.
7. Elasticity of Supply, the amount is sufficient.

Points 4,5 and 6 are not yet attached to bitcoin so it is still difficult to be accepted as a means of payment globally, especially in Indonesia. Bitcoin's journey to be accepted as a means of payment in Indonesia is still very long.

I am not surprised that the government of Pakistan did just that.  We need to approach this issue very carefully, and not be a blind cryptocurrency enthusiast.  We really need to imagine the moment when many users of cryptocurrency invested their money in Bitcoin at the end of 2017.  Even today, when the price fluctuates around $ 10,000, they cannot even return the funds that they spent to buy Bitcoin.  And still have to wait long enough for their financial condition to rise from the bottom.

The number of people who is starting to learn about blockchain and cryptocurrency here are also increasing.

It is possible to spot people using tor/vpn, what its not possible for them to know is what it was being used for. Tor has some levels of obfuscation and it can be made to look a bit like regular web traffic, not too sure about vpn.

And also, although it's still illegal in my country, there are now around 3 or 4 exchanges with fiat money that even the government already knows about cryptocurrency and that exchange. I do not know exactly how many people have adopted Bitcoin in my country. In Indonesia we have a fairly large crypto Exchanger namely Indodax. In the Indodax website there are already around 1.7 million people who register. You can check here https://indodax.com/en . This number is quite large increase from year to year.

I remember when registering for Indodax, which used to be called VIPbitcoin in 2014, there were only about hundreds of users. Now Indodax users in our country have reached 1.7 million, which indicates the enthusiasm of Indonesian citizens.

Serbia is a little country in South Europe. I think adoption in my country does not exist, there is nothing about that in news. What I saw in news related with bitcoin is some negative shit about some big scams in crypto, usually it`s a copy-paste report taken from some global news station.
In my country changes are slow. Majority of people still don`t know about bitcoin existence, so it`s naturally for me to believe that maybe my country will be far behind advanced countries again. When others adopt it and make infrastructure for that, my country will start thinking about adoption.

All around the world, the Bitcoin user base has expanded during 2018-19. Here in India, there are an estimated 10 to 20 million users despite the extremely hostile stance by the government.

However, there are various seminars and lecturers going on about Bitcoin with private individuals trying to raise awareness on this. The government is nonchalant about cryptocurrency. I guess this is even to the advantage of those of us who are involved in cryptocurrency because government being aware and stepping in means new legislation coming in and this can hamper the growth for us here.

It is possible to spot people using tor/vpn, what its not possible for them to know is what it was being used for. Tor has some levels of obfuscation and it can be made to look a bit like regular web traffic, not too sure about vpn.
If your btc address is not publicly known then it is hard to trace the btc owner.

For me, my country seems accepting bitcoin and slowly adopting it because some store is accepting cryptocurrency, and there many companies are now creating their own digital currency. Also, there is some establishment/ company to accept bitcoin as a payment, and I have read & heard that there are some schools accepting bitcoin and another cryptocurrency as a payment. I think in the acceptance of bitcoin, and another cryptocurrency in my country will be well-known. :)
