Title: what is happening now?
Post by: Handsome Boy on August 09, 2019, 11:04:21 PM
hello friend,
in 2017 I was very happy when I saw the price of Bitcoin increase in coinmarketcap because when the price of Bitcoin increases, then the price of Altcoin will immediately increase too, but for now when the price of Bitcoin increases and it does not affect for the prices of Altcoin (even still down), then when the price of Bitcoin goes down and at that time the price of Altcoin will go down too, so I do not understand the current state of the market and what is happening right now.

Yes. Most people are into bitcoin as a way of investment. An investment that yields more than stocks or gold. They no nothing excpet bitcoin.
Like the user above stated, they used to sell bitcoin to buy alts when the prices of bitcoin started to decrease and buy back when it stated to increase but with the introduction of stablecoin, people find it easier and safer to convert their bitcoin value to stable fiat value.

This time the fundamental of the altcoin depends on its product and bitcoin gives a little impact to the price of altcoin. As far as i know, this time the domination of bitcoin is increasing a lot. Because the investors become even smarter and they are holding the majority of their funds in the bitcoin form. Altcoin needs a lot of updates to make FOMO and the bull trend of bitcoin doesn't matter a lot.

Nope, actually at the first when bitcoin was pumping to $19,000 the bitcoin dominance is also increasing and altcoins are bleeding. Just after bitcoin price has corrected until $15,000 but the entire crypto market cap is still increasing, then the altcoins are starting to pump and the alt season starts.

The current condition is still the same, but why the btc dominance is bigger than last time in 2017? Because everyone has started to realize that altcoins are full of bullshits.

Right now the market cycle is changing. During 2018 everything was falling down until we reached the bottom by 3k per BTC. Science than the market is recovering and we are waiting for another big announcement that would push the market further.

what you don't understand is the relationship that altcion had with bitcoin in 2017 not now. the relationship was EXACTLY the same as today.
when bitcoin rises. they get dumped.
when bitcoin drops. they get dumped.
when bitcoin stabilizes they get pumped.

this little relationship has not changed for many years. of course there is exceptions in some cases when they get pumped on their own no matter what bitcoin is doing.

Understanding the movement of bitcoin and its relation to altcoin isn't really confusing. There were times that its relation has been impacting positively and alts just follow the lead wherever bitcoin shoots.
But at these times, the price of alts and bitcoin didn't go along. The price for bitcoin is positive and the alts are negative, this makes many investors confuse about its relation. Soon, it will stabilize and both will move together.

In 2017 there weren't so many ICOs, and after altcoin get pumped in 2018, people start to launch shitty ICOs and most of them were scam. That's why people don't interested to invest in altcoin and focusing their investment to bitcoin instead of altcoin. (You can see how big btc dominance now)

People are cumulating more Bitcoins because on some portals there are predictions that altcoins are going to zero and retailers are selling in a fear.

I guess that investors already woke up with the reality that Bitcoin will always get them the profits they wanted and its gonna be difficult achieving that in altcoins. Though there are altcoins that are proving to go on an upward trend (https://imgur.com/iLi4747) because of them having an actual user base (https://www.contentos.io/?utm_source=lx) of millions within their network. It's always great to see coins being independent and not rely on Bitcoin anymore for their growth.

I do not think that is the reason why people are out of it. Since when people are entrusting all of their money to those media? the only plausible answer for all of this is market flow.
the player wants Bitcoin to reach its ATH again and consolidating its price around that plus pressuring the alts so they can buy it cheaply. I believe most of them already sold their stash back then when we were pumping, so before the pump happens. They are going to get their stash back at a cheap price.

You are wrong, when last bullrun happened altcoins dont increase instantly,it takes few weeks before altcoins start surging in price and dont compare the present market surge with last bullrun of 2017.
Last bullrun was driven by HYPE but this present bullrun isnt drive by hype, adoption is what will make bitcoin keep surging in value and gone are the days when you can hold shitcoins for profits,if you try that you will end up with nothing

yes I see bitcoin dominating the crypto market and some altcoins are falling in price. well maybe this is caused because of the many requests for bitcoin. Moreover, many claim positive things about bitcoin and maybe this is the effect that is making bitcoin prices go up.

Bitcoin market dominance increased periodically and recently touched 70%. Some people think altcoin season will never come again as many big news center around bitcoin. The reason why bitcoin price goes up while most altcoins dip is because BTC value for altcoins drop when people sell their altcoins for BTC, and then drops further when there is a drop in BTC dollar value. Altcoin holders should just be patient since some altcoins still soar in price with good FA and those with good project development will be profitable in the long run.

This can be seen from past experience. When the BTC rose, people like to convert the altcoin into bitcoin. When BTC prices fall, people like to convert cryptocurrencies into stable currencies. I like other cryptocurrencies when the currency is sideways.

It seems bitcoin is becoming mainstreamed. The great coin has shared more than double of the total market capitalization, and its popularity has increased lately. The US's latest concern over Facebook's Libra has also fueled its popularity. Mr President also talked about bitcoin in his remark on Libra.

not all altcoin can be influenced by bitcoin. which must be understood that the cryptro is fluctuating where prices can change significantly at any time. and many countries prohibit the presence of bitcoin so that it affects the market.

Even me I don't know what is happening in crypto currency but in my own opinion maybe a lot of investors are getting clever now they see to it first the situation then they invest. And just because if there is a lot investors will engaged in bitcoin, the possibility of growing up become higher.

It seems that the market cycle has changed, and the people are giving bitcoin much value. It means that institutional traders are also interested in bitcoin. But this cycle may be altered. And altcoins will have their opportunity to rise. I do not care about it, but I keep holding altcoins.

Let's acxept the fact that people all over the world are support bitcoin more than altcoin so when the bitcoin will have even a small price value increase people will have a quick buying and investing panic to bitcoin and forget about to invest in altcoin. That the real scenario because all we know that butcoin is the top and most progressive coin here in crypto world.

if we look at the price of coins on ATH , Bitcoin = -41.8%, then let's compare it to the Altcoin top of the marketcap which is ETH = -86%, XRP =- 91%, BCH = -92%. it can be said that Bitcoin is indeed more trustworthy than Altcoin ...

What was happening now is we are still at the bear market although bitcoin gives good moves in the market by trying to increase higher, but the altcoin still at the lower price. But we have so many chances to see the cryptocurrency will rise again in the future and we could hope that will happens in this year so we could recover what we lost in a few years ago. Some people are still waiting for the rise of the market, and they still buy more and more altcoin and bitcoin because cryptocurrency will increase higher later.

It is obvious that there is a trend reversal and what is happening now had happened with btc and etherium around 2016 for whoever that could go back to look the chart, the market is simply responding to situations and it is quite normal, altcoin season will come again but in a different shade and time

These days, a rise in the price of bitcoin has little or no significance on the altcoins, it seems  the graph of correlation has changed. I have read many articles on this new trend but I have not come across any logical explanation on it. This is killing the confidence of most people who wish to hodl in altcoins.

I think this happened because of the bad influence of making new coins that keep popping up. although now bitcoin has gone up but the price of altc is still below, the presence of new coins is very influential on the old altc that is developing. but there are still some altc that are still stabilizing the price, maybe it still goes down but it won't take long. for example their binance has increased slightly although not significantly but it provides a fresh new air for investors who love altc.

There is no logic why would coin A value increase just because coin B value increase. Yes a bit is logical but not 100%  I dont really understand your point. A coin has this much value. If another coin makes some breakout that dont my this coin more valuable. Is that not logical?  We are close to economic collapse. People are buying Gold and are buying Bitcoin as a hedge. Why would they go buy dentacoin? Dentacoin usecase is whatever it is. It is not a store of value.

Current market conditions are very different compared to 2017. Even though bitcoin prices have risen, altcoin prices will not increase or some will fall. that means many people who prefer to exchange their altcoin to bitcoin, instead of buying bitcoin with fiat. This is one of the reasons why when bitcoin prices go up there are some red altcoins.

They're all selling their altcoins and its not going up that usual when BTC goes up as well. Not everyone can hold on to this kind of market, you can already see right now only few signature campaign that pays BTC survives and this I guess is because the bear market seem no yet done. Sell walls after sell walls.

Get used to it since this market is never been predictable since the beginning of time.We might able to see it on past years that if BTC price goes up it drags up also the price of altcoins but that's not always the case because it can change from time to time. The reason? No one knows and lets talk about btc dominance at the moment which shows
people are now on btc.We cant predict on when would be the start of alt season.

maybe it happens because investors prefer to invest in Bitcoin and believe if investing in Bitcoin is more profitable than investing in Altcoin, it can be seen from BTC dominance that continues to increase, therefore the price of altcoin is not increasing for now, because now investors are more interested to investing in Bitcoin than investing in altcoin, so that's what makes only the price of Bitcoin rising for now.

The trend cannot continue as it has always been. Yes, we had a better growth trend for all coins in 2017. Everything seem to EB following suit, until they began to plunge in 2018.
We actual need a system where we will be able to distinguish clearly between god and bad project, which is why we see few coins grow at this time that even bitcoin is growing.
With the new trend, scam projects and coins are easily evicted and they do not last long.

You can easily pinpoint potential scam projects as they are giving hints on becoming one. Promising overwhelming targets or if you observe pump and dump scenarios in exchanges. Later on, they will get exhausted of what they are doing, and they will just let their project dies down.

when in 2017, at that time the BTC dominance was below 50%, whereas today the BTC dominance is above 70%, so it is very natural that this year is different from 2017,
but according to the chart analysis news, BTC dominance will definitely go down and when it starts, alt seoson will occur.
the time is uncertain, but between the end of 2019 or 2020.

Do not dwell on the 2017 bull pump too much. It seems to have become the only basis for the rest of the increases and decreases of prices. It was a single instance that might not have anything to do with the succeeding changes in price. If you are going to wait for a 2017-like bull pump, you'll soon grow frustrated. The state of the market has been very normal these days. There is no sudden drop. This is good enough already.

It caused by the bitcoin holders less interesting to converting their bitcoin to the altcoin and only some percentages of total bitcoin holders are moving their bitcoin to the altcoin.
That creates a different condition with 2017 when the bitcoin holders have massively converted their bitcoin to the altcoin.
Altcoin still has the same potential as 2017 but it looks like bitcoin holders are having different thing.

1. Realities that occur Altcoin do not follow the price of bitcoin
 2. Investors are more interested in buying bitcoin, 80% of bitcoin dominates the market
 3. Altcoin nowadays Many are scams so investors are traumatized and divert investments to bitcoin
 4. Only Altcoin has a large community that is often pumped
Investors are now very careful in investing so only good projects get great attention from people. I often observe the volatility of all altcoin in this market and the top 200 coins in CMC always have very good trading volume so there is usually no big drop so altcoin investment is now very good for long term because the current price is very cheap and certain that the market will soon return in 2020

what happens nowadays people don't really believe in altcoin like 2017, there is fear from some people to invest because the number of FUDs in circulation and altcoin that is not strong will die, in contrast to bitcoin which can always rise from outstanding FUDs.

Every people want to see the situations are likely 2017, but the reality, we still see the market cannot increase so high, especially for the altcoin section. This trigger from bitcoin price, which is not was rising so high, and it's up and down many times. But soon, if bitcoin price can reach the highest price and stable for a while, then I think the altcoin price will increase, and I guess that the situations will be changed and we will be back to make a bigger profit again.

in essence there is really no connection between bitcoin and altcoin. it's just that people's interest in buying crypto is still focused on bitcoin, so when bitcoin is high, altcoin is likely to go up because most people also look at altcoin. but unfortunately with the failure of altcoin recover prices and some fake projects make the interest in altcoin decrease dramatically and that's what makes altcoin will be difficult to go up even though bitcoin goes up.

I am inclined to assert that today Bitcoin is gaining sympathy among investors, primarily because, against the general background of the worldwide discussion of cryptocurrency, the first question is about the legalization of cryptocurrency in the world.  And if this issue is successfully resolved, then first of all, Bitcoin will become a legal cryptocurrency, which will lead to its active use and an increase in the number of members of the community of Bitcoin owners.

I think it has more to do with the recent market situation, if you have studied it closely, you would have noticed that whenever there is a correction, most alts would plunge very much in price while BTC would rain the same or just reduce price a bit, so many people are now buying and holding BTC, I think that is the main reason.

It's very normal thing, happen everytime bitcoin's pumped.
Almost every single alt would go down when bitcoin up.
That scenario happen too much when bitcoin went from 20k to 3k for 2 years, 2 long-year

tether

This new phenomenon most likely has nothing to do with tether.
It is as if altcoins whales came together one day and agree not to invest in altcoins.  Maybe whales are well organized and united ? Or this's all coming from a single whale.
Another theory is that trading on exchanges have become very difficult for whales around the world due KYC and fear of the watchful eyes of the authorities.

If you are trader you know that Bitcoin still needs to fill the hidden gap around 8500USD.
It is a game for traders, not for hodlers, so do not be afraid, buy more if you have money, but do not sell! Maybe this is the last chance of buying super cheap cryptocurrencies!

The market is shifting. Two years ago there was a massive altcoin boom and people believed that new altcoins will share bitcoin's success but they did not. Most of them were scams or failures and people did not really know what they are buying. They were buying promises.

Now new investors see all those failed projects and don't want to risk it so they buy bitcoin. The market will no longer take altcoins up as much as bitcoin and it won't change until Bitcoin reaches a new ATH then maybe some people will again think of differentiating.

hello friend,
in 2017 I was very happy when I saw the price of Bitcoin increase in coinmarketcap because when the price of Bitcoin increases, then the price of Altcoin will immediately increase too, but for now when the price of Bitcoin increases and it does not affect for the prices of Altcoin (even still down), then when the price of Bitcoin goes down and at that time the price of Altcoin will go down too, so I do not understand the current state of the market and what is happening right now.

In 2017 there was a significant increase in bitcoin and even touched the highest since it was created and it happened one year after halving bitcoin in the middle of 2016. At that time everyone expected all altcoin to follow the bitcoin footprint, everyone flocked to buy altcoin and as a result, demand increased and the explosion of altcoin prices has risen. different with the current situation, maybe some investors save their funds to prepare for the moment of halving bitcoin in the middle of 2020 and many of them have lost the trust of altcoin that appears lately because many fraud projects occur.

In March 2019, altcoin was pumped up to x2-5, while bitcoin was still stable. well now the possibility of bitcoin will be pumped on a large scale and when bitcoin is stable it is likely that altcoin will follow

That's right, especially when there's a halving moment, I think that's what makes bitcoin dominance in the cryptocurrency market even stronger. The number of fraudsters who take advantage of the ease in making their own altcoin to deceive investors makes the market confidence tends to shrink. Altcoin, which is at the top of coinmarketcap, is moving slowly, everything is still focused on btc.

i can tell the real reason why this market is like that.
it is very simple. its because most people dont have any clue in investing, especially the new people who try to invest.
the no1 argument to invest not in alts is scam.

well if you are longer spectate the markets you know, that there are still many trustable coins that exist since a long time, like ethereum monero and co,
so this scam argument comes mostly from people who dont know anything from investing and lost all their money, spending it for shitty icos and pumpndump.

the no2 argument is that people lost a lot of money in 2018.

firstly many people dont know when to sell and secondly many people are too pessimistic in the markets. when bitcoin falls one time its like the end of the world for many investors are selling off until the coins are undervalued to zero.

that investors are clueless and just dont know anything about investing proves also that everyone prefers more investing in this overheated btc market where they will loose everything again instead of looking for a nice decent altcoin at the bottom that gives profit. i mean what can you loose? its allready at bottom because every noob sold off. but at bitcoin? this move was not even a doubler but when it falls to bottom you will never gonna see your money again. i feel very sorry for the people investing in btc.

it will happen exactly like that: that bitcoin bubble pops again and everyone starts whining again, giving all their faults to the market and their coins that they loose everything again. instead of that people should learn to study the coins knowing what marketcaps, coin amount means in relation to price and finding rational ways to invest.

the cluelesness is just an irrational mirror to an irrational market. i think the reason is also that many newcomers are investing because they heard about bitcoin in the media, so they just thing "cool" and invest blind. then the whining starts and everything is down at zero again. its all just simple greed combined with stupidness. thats not the way how to make money and everyone will loose.

that stupidness holds also many investors back from investing because its not a win situation when there are so many blind investors. too many blind people dominating the markets. too much greed too less brain.

the only solution is that people need to think different by giving the coins their worth it really deserves, not thinking about profit only by doing scammy icos and such. we need more decent investors that are convinced in what they are investing and then new investors will jump in. this market needs more trust and fair prices. many people think in real that all coins are worthless but its wrong. there are many coins with interesting tech in it that is way better than bitcoin, so i find it very stupid how many people think about alts.

Even at this time, bitcoin holders are still making their profits, because it has been the major determinant of price increase of most coins. This is why we see it dominating. However, altcoins might soon take up the lead and we might see the dominance of bitcoin falling?

yes they are making profits. but what can they win and which risks are they taking?
with alts can double or triple your money easily. up to 5x is also possible.

with btc you can only make a doubler or a triple with an high risk when buying at the bottom and selling at the high.
when it drops there is no guarantee its gonna rise again. the btc investment strategy is not very smart in my eyes and sooner or later it will show of.
also a big reason is the price psychology. the price of a five digit is not beautiful at all. at 12000 the hive mind says "too expensive" and the money is gone.
i would never take such a risk investing in btc. there is only a few crumbs to win with an high bet of own money.

Altcoin and bitcoin movements are different now altcoin does not follow the rise of bitcoin so there is a lot of confusion that many may throw altcoin and switch to bitcoin which is more promising so that altcoin enthusiasts are reduced so there is no upward movement
That's what happen with the current situation investors choose to invest more with Bitcoin and not with Alts and it's really affecting the market for the Alts community, there's a need for new invest money for alts to move forward and tail Bitcoin journey, it's needed to be wait for some time and not to fall with this current sways.
If everyone ran into bitcoin I would be going in different directions going to invest and holding altcoin at low prices now must be utilized well just waiting for the pump I'm sure altcoin will not stand still below it will definitely follow the movement of bitcoin that goes up

The basic reason why the increase in the market value Bitcoin does not really affect altcoins is that, majority of Altcoins are paired with stablecoins and have about 80% of their trading volume trading in this stablecoin with just 10% paired with Bitcoin. With this, an increase in bitcoin will not really affect the market value of these altcoins.

If you compare in 2017 you will not find the same thing in the following year, why Altcoin isn't currently following the bitcoin path maybe the reason is bitcoin is still the main focus to generate profits faster.

I guess, people simply saw that Bitcoin could get up after the greatest fall, and started to trust it again. This trust now is great, therefore, they are actively investing in BTC, and its dominance is growing constantly. Altcoins are "forgotten" for some time, but soon, the balance will be restored. Tokens (most of them) will follow Bitcoin movements.

In 2017, what we had then wasnt just a bull run; it was a bull season
Where bitcoin grows massively over several days and months leaving altcoins with no choice than to grow in price too

Compare with the bear season; you would notice that the altcoins also dump equally alongside a small pump or dump of bitcoin

I think the reason people think that bitcoin going up means altcoin going up is that one instance in 2017. Unfortunately you guys do not know that all altcoins were going down before that and when bitcoin goes up altcoins go down was the standard for crypto, only in 2017 December it turned to everything going up because it was a surreal hype time where millions of people came into bitcoin world but that was just one time.

Right before that 2017 December peak, for example, in summer of 2017 there was bitcoin cash hard fork and because of that everyone moved to bitcoin since they wanted to get free bitcoin cash which is why altcoins dropped like hell I remember very clearly. So do not think that everything goes up together, that happens very rarely, it is usually bitcoin up altcoin down.

First of all, there is no direct relationship between bitcoin and alts. Yes! Btc is the greatest influencer on the market but it doesn't necessarily mean that "Alts increases as btc increases" will happen constantly. Remember that each of them got their own trends and the future of a certain coin depends on the balance of its supply and demand. But well, I admit that I also noticed the change occurring in our market nowadays but I guess that's still pretty normal maybe you should get used to it :D.

Current situation Bitcoin prices just stable at $11k and altcoin just stay the same at the bottom. Don't you buy some altcoin to hold in this situation if you don't know it will happen or don't know what the target is. Just tethered your fund to make it safe from the storm that we can't expect before, then buy top altcoin when its already down between 10% in one day after the bearish market, sell it when you feel that enough and don't greedy.

tether

I would not want to believe that it is tether, the reason why people put in altcoins is strictly for investment just as the way they put money I bitcoin too, just that during the last time bitcoin increased, people still trusted altcoins and they usually pick interest in both of them anytime that they desire to invest, and they would have still used tether even if they were making investment for altcoins too.

The reason why we have seen such drastic decline in the altcoins industry is because investors are skeptical about altcoins investment nowadays because it seems like many of the ones that have committed their money into end up going below what they invested in without hope of rising because of the weaknesses of the team, or they probably get scammed.

It is about the matter of demand and supply. Somehow, until now there are few altcoins that also pumped whenever bitcoin pumps. A good example of altcoin who usually follow the path of bitcoin is ethereum. But I may agree even last yr, majority of altcoins before pump when the market bull run. But now, I have also noticed the difference. They are hardly pumping.

there is no altcoin that really follows the path. every altcoin has a very lousy marketcap in relation to btc, even ether and its the own fault of people who got scammed, most ico didnt even finished their projects but people still had dollars in their eyes and didnt care.

i stay at my argument. cluelessnes and greed. altcoins that earn their worth are not respected by the investors. too many old investors gone newbies have taken over thinking that every alt is a scam buying overvalued assets instead.

in my eyes alts are totally undervalued. we have seen which potential they had at 2017 compared todays that "marketmoves" are like a fart.
i really hope that all the depressed investors leave who make alts bad and some new optimistic people come in. maybe also too much bad spirit from 2018.
they just cant do it. we need an more optimist market with enthousiastic investors who care more about the tech of the alts. 2017 is a example how things could go great.

its not the fault of the alts that people get scammed by putting money in icos and there are many coins that are a lot better than btc.
its all in the hands of the investors.

Be patient my friend. We all know that there is a right time for everything. Possible before the end of this year or next year bitcoin and altcoins will rise. The important is it will not remain down or will never be dead. As long as it is alive there is a chance to pump.

I think that everything is connected primarily with the actions of the owners of large capital of coins in the crypto market. They are the founders of the market and can influence prices if necessary. Perhaps it is the owners of large capitals who manipulate prices and prevent altcoins from growing.

Peoples lost alot of money now, they will not invest in altcoins anymore.. lessons learned.
Now, Bitfinex and alot of other institutions are preparing for a hilarious pump printing alot of USDT and QUSD and all the other assets to pump btc and make it reach 60k$+ ;)
That's not a financial advice but i am sure that this is the plan now.
EXPECT BTC TO DESTROY THE WORLD ECONOMY.

The current conditions in altcoin are far different from 2017. Maybe in 2017 many investors have speculated so that many tokens whose prices have risen dramatically. In contrast to the current conditions that the price of altcoin falls below the ICO price and is detrimental to many investors. Maybe because the project is no longer running or the developer team is leaving the project

I guess the reason for it why most of the altcoins are not increasing their price value in the market despite that Bitcoin was now in a little bit
of bull run season, this maybe because of what happen after bull run during 2018, That's why most of the investors and community here they'd rather invest on bitcoin compare to altcoins. But I'm not sure about this, this was just my assessment only.

The small pumps are not effective in the bear market, healthful market progress starts with the strong buy volume and indicators turn up after such unexpected spikes which are not definitely equal to the pump. Ethereum price doesn't look good after the last correction. I don't deny the possibility of going down if price can't hold the strong support line under 0.016. There is no way to prevent the selling power of ETH by ICO teams that dumps to the market price slightly.

in 2017, the increase in bitcoin also affects the price of ETH, whereas at the moment the price of ETH does not rise, I think why at the moment bitcoin does not affect the price of altcoin, because eth is in an unfavorable situation, so the increase in BTC does not have any effect on ETH and other altcoins .

This is not that uncommon situation, it was seen already a year and more ago.
Bitcoin is falling- alts go along with it, but when it goes up , it does not alts so much.

Alts are not the choice of investors right now, simple as that.
By the way, take a look at XRP, it is holding steady its bottom compared to other alts.

Actually most coins that are within the top 20 are actually responding to bitcoin movement always, and I don’t know why they have to rely on bitcoin because they all have difference use case, and if they have different use case, they should have a different community that will be controlling each one of them individually without some sort of attachment.

What leads to increased value like you said is demand, and they demand for bitcoin, how that affects other coin is what is quite confusing and the only logical reason I could give is that the investors chose to buy those coins same time they buy bitcoin, while other coins are still laying down because of the dominance of bitcoin, so for altcoins to start increasing now, the reign of bitcoin has to be halted a little.

If you look for exemple at gate.io, people are still selling their coins for bitcoins when bitcoin is falling. They still hope that Bitcoin can increase to $20000 and don't want to miss this. But that won't happen. I hope bitcoin is going to return back to $3000 or less and that people are going to realize what they have done. Following fake news and whales is not going to finish well.
But we can understand them too as a lot of altcoins were made to scam people. But now they have no confidence on altcoins. That's why they only buy bitcoin. But that will kill the cryptomarket. As no companies are going to try to invest into cryptocurrencies as people are only going to dump their coins. I don't care if i lose what i have invested on cryptos. But it is sure that i won't put more money into it.

its all happened exactly as i predicted. its as i said. investors dont know anything about crypto and get all dumped.
not all alts are a scam. only shitty investors put money into icos and get scammed.
btc is just a bubble that is popping because its completly overvalued.

im still wating for that btc is better than alts argument.
alts will build now a resistance because btc cant suck it completely out while stupid investors run away from alts into btc and gonna loose EVERYTHING.
people make everything wrong what they can do wrong but its kinda natural selection. when these investors are gone and dumped all their money there will be space for new, smarter investors who appreciate the worth of many good projects. just let them play.

an normal person buys low and sells high. but what they are doing is exactly the opposite. no need to blame them.

The altcoin season will come, and it's on the right way. But the problem is we are seeing bitcoin is going to down, and that makes altcoin follow to go down too. But if this situation is ended, bitcoin price will rise, and that will happen too with altcoin, and maybe we need to be patient this week because the market is not good to sell. We can buy more altcoin if we have money because the price of almost all of the altcoin is at a low price so we can get a good price to hold for a while.

Selling always happens, no matter what the price is, that's kind of how the whole price thing happens. If I sell at 9k and someone buys it, then the price recorded is 9k. If I sell and nobody buys, then I can't sell and then there's no price. You get it right?

Anyway, don't worry about panic sellers, it's good for everyone.

fundamentally there is actually no association among bitcoin and altcoin. it's simply that individuals' enthusiasm for purchasing crypto is as yet centered around bitcoin, so when bitcoin is high, altcoin is probably going to go up in light of the fact that the vast majority additionally take a gander at altcoin. however, shockingly with the disappointment of altcoin recoup costs and some phony tasks make the enthusiasm for altcoin decline significantly and that is the thing that makes altcoin will be hard to go up despite the fact that bitcoin goes up.

As there is no connection. What about financial pressure? After all, major players certainly hold bitcoin. And then they put pressure on the entire cryptocurrency for its own benefit. So I think what is happening on the market right now.

there is an fundamental association beetween bitcoin and alts. altcoins are always sold in satoshis. when the worth of satoshis rise then the worth of the last bid rises and the coin climbs up in price beetween the altcoinamount and dollar.

that rise in bitcoin and the bad growth in alts was always a invisable selloff. in relation to btc and alts where the bullrun began and where we now the price in dollars are nearly the same, but the thing is in relation to satoshis alts lost 75% of its worth. now you can think and then you know what happens when btc has the same price in dollars then it has before. your altcoins would also loose 75%.

that price mentality would stop when people would stop trading from btc to alts, but dollars or euros to altcoins only. so there are also very big structure problems in the crypto market. it is giving bitcoin a too high influence and makes it to an monopol to the crypto market. pretty idiotic. always bothered me. trading assets always need a stable harbour but bitcoin isnt so we have this mess.

i think thats the main reason why investors have enough. it also bothered the markets in 2018. many good projects are getting destroyed because bitcoin determines the price and pulls everything down. that needs to stop. people and exchanges need to stop trading with bitcoins.

but people: dont worry. the price is not under the full influence of btc. when there is a peak bottom reached as we are right now you will always find buyers who buy the dip. there is nothing to loose anymore. its already at the bottom.

hello friend,
in 2017 I was very happy when I saw the price of Bitcoin increase in coinmarketcap because when the price of Bitcoin increases, then the price of Altcoin will immediately increase too, but for now when the price of Bitcoin increases and it does not affect for the prices of Altcoin (even still down), then when the price of Bitcoin goes down and at that time the price of Altcoin will go down too, so I do not understand the current state of the market and what is happening right now.

We are in a different scenario now, compared to what happened in 2017, people want to see the same profitability and scenario but I don't think it's going to happen again, so many projects coming in only a handful will survive, and our problem is to find these handfuls that are going to succeed, but I'm ok with Bitcoin dominance, it just means that Bitcoin is still the dominant coin in the market.

yep the zeitgeist ist now a different.
the zeitgeist says that people have enough of the bitcoin monopol who control the alts and that something needs to change.

i dont understand how you could be okay with that. you can see with your own eyes what this btc dominance causes. people please think about it.
this bullrun we have/had right now is the result of price pressures in alts back in 2018. alts lost everything because btc did so people got out of alts and invested in btc. its the language of money that controls the markets not the projects itself.

we can see it with our own eyes. there are still many good projects but it doesnt affect the price at all, because its rigged by btc. investors loose confidence when there is no connection beetween the price and the project.

The market is said to be volatile and unpredictable making the relationship between altcoin and Bitcoin unstable. There was a period when the market was inversely moving in the sense that an upward movement in btc, lead to the decline of altcoin and vice versa.

The market is said to be volatile and unpredictable making the relationship between altcoin and Bitcoin unstable. There was a period when the market was inversely moving in the sense that an upward movement in btc, lead to the decline of altcoin and vice versa.

there is an difference beetween automatic price definition and human price definition.
when btc goes up the worth of alts rises autmatically, but humans also define the price manually.

its always like that that the automatic price definition of alts comes first when people buy sell btc,
but after then humans take desicions and see if the price is okay or not, buying more so the price rises more or selling off.

when the price in alts dont move at all and btc rises it means that the alt price automatically gone up but people sold off to the same level.
just look at the satoshi price of alts at beginning of the bullrun and now. the price in dollars didnt changed, but the price in sats got a lot lower.
its an inviable selloff and means thats the people ran to btc because of that.

the reason is how i said. its the big structural problems in the crypto market, and the main mistake are the humans who cant trade right.
everybody also the exchanges uses btc as main trading object, but its plainly stupid, because its not stable at all. trading assets always need a stable harbour, so they dont get affected by the fluctations as we see right now.

the market as a whole is not decentraliced, we humans how we trade make it completely centralized and manipulative.
we all need to change that. exchanges need to change the main trading object. instead of btc a better solution would be these stable coins, or just fiat.

Crypto is very dynamic and once it is understood, one will learn to play safer and be more careful. No one had believed that etherium will not pump alongside btc but it showed a different behavior, though it is attributed to proliferation of ICO's and new projects that investors decided to pay less attention to them but no one is certain as another cycle may have etherium pump while btc remain at a relatively stable price

I think many investors have switched their faith in bitcoin, where there is no scam. especially if we invest in IEO projects, there will be more risks. therefore with an increase in bitcoin that occurs, do not bring altcoin to follow it
The word altcoins is actually not the problem but the project itself, people could also use bitcoin to also scam people, what of hackers that do hack into people’s account, they steal people bitcoin, so the issue that we need to deal with is not the altcoins, but the projects that we accepted to call altcoins, not every projects coins deserves to be termed altcoins, and the real altcoins are those ones that are still within the 100 list of CMC, and you can see that they are still the ones following bitcoin in its movement, those are the coins that have real use case.

Bitcoin is actually the major dominant now because it is still the number one coin, so people will reckon with it first before any other coin that is why we can also see the huge gap between it and altcoins.

Ethereum went up by 100x, and many of the lower ranked altcoins gave even more returns. Some of these alts became like inflated balloons. What happening in 2018-19 is a correction, so that these overpriced alts and tokens come back to their fair valuation.

We know that there are many investors who invest in bitcoin compared to altcoin and when viewed when bitcoin prices increase but altcoin does not increase it is not confusing because before this also happened and why only bitcoin increased because most investors prefer to invest in bitcoin compared to altcoin because most of altcoin is just nonsense.

Now, as always, the market is changing prices for altcoins.  But I think that you should not be discouraged.  Since the fall in the market is a very frequent occurrence, and you need to remember that after the fall growth always occurs.

Yes, but in the current situation, altcoin price increases do not occur. Only a price reduction, regardless of whether Bitcoin is rising or falling. I also do not understand the current market situation. Are all projects so dramatically lost their appeal?

Unfortunately for most altcoins what we are seeing is the return of bitcoin as the most dominant coin in the market, there was a time when the bitcoin dominance was at 90% but the altcoin bull run lowered that number in a significant way, for some time some investors speculated that this was bound to change as most altcoins demonstrated that they were not match for bitcoin and its technology and when you add the huge number of scams and failed projects then it is not difficult to understand why this is happening.

Funny enough, as I remember many felt altcoins were about to change the crypto space and the Bitcoin was obsolete. Many thought that soon Alts will be independent and no longer follow the BTC trend and will move by themselves. No we have it partially, when BTC rises, alts show little movement, and when BTC falls, alts crash even harder. But I see it as a good time to accumulate strong alts.

The upward and downward movement of bitcoin and perhaps other good altcoins, is an opportunity to trade to make profits. At this period, it is much easier to make huge profit, because the trend is obvious and almost the same.
At about this time, the coins are going uptrend again and this might continue for some more days before there will be another plunge. Although, you should not take this as an advice to invest. Do your own research before investing.

I believe something good is going to happen soonest as far as crypto is concerned. Even though the price of altcoins simultaneously increased with the price of bitcoin in 2017, this does not mean it can not  be repeated this year again even though not seeing it  yet. In my own view, I think the rate at which traders pump the price of bitcoin is more than the way it is for altcoins which could be what is responsible for bitcoin rising now and altcoins not rising simultaneously with it. Nonetheless, I know that  simultaneous increase of both coins will soon happen and there will be great boom of altcoin price.

The impression that what affects Bitcoin should affect altcoin it does not follow that they should be a proportionate change in the price of altcoin whenever that of bitcoin changes. I think there are still some other market fundamentals and intrinsic value of the altcoin that helps to either push it up or down independent of what price bitcoin is going for

We could probably missis to hit the bull run this year again. The market seems not to be healthy enough to catch such price and even Bitcoin never been aggressive. However, not badly to see that prices aren't in the bearish stage and not really worrying for us.
There is something we need to understand that the crypto market never been like before that bull run will come at the latter quarter of the year.

Bitcoin dominance is too high in the market I think is not good for the development of altcoin. Investors will definitely divert their investment into bitcoin because it is more profitable. But I think in the long run, altcoin will still be able to grow because the market is unlikely to only depend on bitcoin

I also think so. The cryptocurrency market is developing cyclically. Now, indeed, many have invested in bitcoin and its capitalization has grown very much. Everyone is waiting for the rise in the price of bitcoin. It can really go up in the fourth quarter, and then the situation with altcoins, apparently, will continue for some time. Or bitcoin will stand still or fall, many will lose their patience and then the funds will be transferred to altcoins. It is also worth saying that altcoins are now developing faster than bitcoin, which means the situation will change many times more. In general, the interesting is yet to come.

The current condition is that when the price of bitcoin goes up against the dollar, the price of altcoin goes down against bitcoin. This causes the price of altcoin to stagnate and even fall against the US dollar. Current market conditions are still not good for many altcoins, and in my opinion you should not panic and sell at cheap prices.

I think, fundraising model through ICO or IEO will not affect the old altcoin price. Maybe right now the IEO model is good for preventing scam projects but the current condition of altcoin prices is still falling against US dollar while the price of bitcoin has gone up from $ 3,500 to $ 11k.

Due to the bear market people lost too much money on the altcoins. And the price of the altcoins based on fake projects has decreased significantly. So people lost their faith in altcoin. And another reason is the rise of IEO, due to the fact the ETH has not risen upto that mark which was expected. And the altcoin price depends so much on the ETH price. So over all the altcoin market have not find a way out to bring any bullish trend.

Nobody has explanation to it that much also, but from what I have observed so far based on how long I have also been in this cryptocurrency world, altcoins that you refer to as always increasing with bitcoin are those altcoins that are not too far away from altcoins, I mean those that we can still say they are on top 50 roll, I think they are basically the only coins that I have see always rising when bitcoin is rising which they are actually still behaving that way.

Most time that bitcoin has been rising, all these altcoins rises and also decreases when bitcoin decrease, but the other altcoins where I think majority of us have our money are the ones that are not rising at all and I am watching their reaction to the nest alts bull.

This is how the market works actually. It is totally unpredictable and you will never know what will happen. The possible reason the altcoin price went down is due to the rise of bitcoin. As soon as the price of bitcoin started to go up, other people realized this and then sold off their altcoins in order to invest on bitcoin. Thus the price of alt coin went down due to the huge dump and the price of bitcoin kept on going up. If you look carefully, you will see that the price of altcoin again started to recover. This is because people started to buy off their altcoins and this time in cheaper price thus making profit from both sides.

That's not it.Just in 2017 was the year of speculation, now the market has become more adult and investors do not invest their money at the first opportunity to upon hearing only the word ,,blockchain,,.Regarding prices, everything is very difficult.Personally, I do not care what the price of altcoins, regarding bitcoin.I have both bitcoin and altcoins and I keep everything long-term.

It appears that the market cycle has changed, and the individuals are giving bitcoin much esteem. It implies that institutional brokers are likewise intrigued by bitcoin. Yet, this cycle might be adjusted. What's more, altcoins will have their chance to rise. I couldn't care less about it, yet I continue holding altcoins.
I'm optimistic about altcoins as they are my favorite investment since I was able to make good profit during the last bull run.
There is a change in the market because we are expecting that people will just transfer their money from BTC to altcoin and vise versa, but is not happening now, Bitcoin was only getting the attention and some solid and hype altcoin this year like BNB (the most consistent in altcoins market).

If there's no changes now, we just hope next year will be the altcoins season, and I'm certain BTC would not drop since halving is approaching.

hello friend,
in 2017 I was very happy when I saw the price of Bitcoin increase in coinmarketcap because when the price of Bitcoin increases, then the price of Altcoin will immediately increase too, but for now when the price of Bitcoin increases and it does not affect for the prices of Altcoin (even still down), then when the price of Bitcoin goes down and at that time the price of Altcoin will go down too, so I do not understand the current state of the market and what is happening right now.

I guess it is because there were many bad projects in the past, destroying the crypto sphere.
Peoples who lost much money from scam projects, are no longer investing in crypto project,
liquidating all of their coins, and the price become dump in the market.

I feel the excitement whenever the coin value rises and at the same time, the bad feeling whenever I'm at a loss. The crypto community should never panic during these times (Especially now that BTC is down to 9.5k) and instead be knowledgeable with what's going on in the cryptospace with crypto & blockchain news (https://www.coincurb.com/?utm_source=lx). Halvening will happen early next year so I'm expecting growth in the price and not sell right now.

That just happen, and its difficult to predict or analyst why its happening right now. Crypto market always have big surprise to shock everyone, we just can wait until its done and stable.
I think people got traumatic about ICO, because in 2017 this invesment method so popular but in 2018 til now its just burn their own money, so they prefer to trade in bitcoin only.

After 2017, people lost a lot when they invested in altcoins. Now people have become more cautious and prefer to keep money in bitcoin.
Now it's just that people believe in Bitcoin more than in alts, so Bitcoin's dominance is high, so I think next year the situation will change very much

The Bitcoin dominance is high actually, so its price is going up slowly while altcoins market is still down. There are some altcoins which go up with time despite the actual situation, like BNB for example. But generally the altcoins market is not good actually and it is better to invest in BTC.
Everyone has their own hobby in investing in this market. If you have a bad mentality, choosing a safe solution is the last solution for you but if you are a risk lover then altcoin can absolutely make a profit. You may lose your investment and feel depressed but if people still hope in this market, anything can happen. Personally, I am still making good money from some altcoins and sometimes I feel very bored because the market is constantly adjusting.

That is the key because I have seen that people likes to  dwell in past glory a lot and they like to always attribute the present to the future. Majority of us need to start analyzing the market critically so that we can understand what happened in that 2017 and how that is missing now.

I know the drive for 2017 which was the ICO hype then, and this made a lot of people worldwide to know about bitcoin even to some villages, but because many were new to it, they invested at that peak time, and this till date is still discouraging people and shifting them away from making more investment until their previous ones is being recovered, and coupled with the fact that ICO market has now become fully bad in terms of bad project which is also quite very disheartening.

This is the cycle in the market that we can see it is difficult to predict prices. Exactly market surprises users that it may increases and decrease that’s why we have to expect the risks. Bitcoin has high dominance indeed but hopefully we will see the good changes or flow in the market next year.

On September 24-25, Bitcoin dropped to $ 7,700, and that was a great shock for all, although the crypto experts used to forwarn people that these events would happen soon. Suppose, not the market is going to be stabilized, and it will go up slowly as before. Bakkt was an attempt to find the reason for the cryptocurrency real fall, and as we see, the market now is manipulated violently.

The sentiment of old investors who loses their money way back expressed from how they are being discouraged investing more from the market. They are not willing to take the same risk or majority of them who's still around are now being careful to where to put their money. It was a bad experienced but can also be takes as a learning patterned for succeeding to this market.

I generally found out about bitcoin in 2011. Only then I had no finances and I could not invest. Later, I began to actively engage in cryptocurrency, but the life situation forced me to translate everything into fiat. The price is almost impossible to predict, especially altcoins, which often live on their own, while bitcoin is more stable. Some small investments at the moment are in my altcoins and I am also waiting for growth, I hope some positive dynamics will happen before the new year.

Exactly. This is not the bull run we saw in 2017. For altcoins to start rising as they did then, investors must regain confidence in market stability, and this will probably happen soon. In short, the market needs a lot more fresh capital to get altcoins prices again skyrocketing.

We shouldn't consider it as signs of bull run what was happening in 2017, but according to the charts, the altcoin has already touched bottom level, which it is impossible to guess how long it is going to take for the recovery. Already there are huge funds in the market, that's why the volumes of Bitcoin is kept increasing.

The relationship between the BTC price and altcoins prices is not easy. I've heard 6 thousand explanations and none explains it flawlessly.

The thing that I see right now, is that any sudden huge move in BTC price (positive or negative) dumps the alts (maybe because people sell alts to go burn their money margin trading in bitmex). Alts need people's trust and it's not gonna be easy earning it back.

of course, there will be an increase in demand for bitcoin when the market is going down. many who release altcoin or other assets then switch to bitcoin with a greater level of market trading than other assets.
for those who believe in the assets they have, they will not panic to see the market go down, because when the market goes down it opens up opportunities for greater profits.

But I`m not panicking, I accumulate. I believe that market will grow again, I believe in that we will see the same

As we all know way back year 2017 bitcoin increase it's price and it is beyond on our expectations, but when the year 2018 comes the price of the bitcoin decreases and it dump. As we see right no altcoins and bitcoins becomes different in the way of increasing and decreasing its price and volume. That is happening right now so in order to survive on this current situation we must study and know what is happening right now in the market.
This market fluctuation is really affecting emotions of most investors from both alts and bitcoin. Traders who wanted to break even or cut their loses from the last position that they've got stuck with are trying to sell after seeing good value of bitcoin. While with alts, the diversion is not an option, instead liquidating assets to exit up from the alt investment is being performed.
Observe and learn how things will turn out in the following years, it will give ideas on how to treat the next strategy from your investment.

Many projects already failed and many projects will fail. Scam projects and scammers damaging the crypto word so much. Without them more secure investment portal can be build at crypto.
Addition to scam projects there are also death projects. Not even one single code in a year. More than 650 projects are in this situation.
So people are right for investing just BTC. By the way never forget to invest in strong projects and teams as BNB and ETH.

Reading your posts is like talking to myself in the mirror. Glad I'm not alone at least. I believe the market can always surprise you on how irrational it can be. I used to say BTC couldn't go past $10,000 due to congestion issues in early 2017, yet it did. Honestly, I expect BTC to hit or pass $40,000-$50,000 within the next 24 months, and I don't think the market gives a shit until BTC essentially becomes liquid due to extreme congestion, I don't see it's lack of utility hurting it's price climb this time around. Now with that being said, I do not believe BTC will EVER break $100,000 without first resolving its scaling issues, which is still looking unlikely unfortunately. Hence we carry lot of Altcoins as well. However the market is extremely irrational and who the knows what'll really happen, so we have all bases covered.

My opinion is that investors are not so sure about ico now, because many ico scams have appeared in 2018, so the effect now is that altcoin prices are difficult to rise, even though many good potential of altcoin also affected, now altcoin must be able to restore confidence to investors and traders can play altcoin again in the market.

It is always a domino effect wherein if btc goes down everything will follow but we also experienced having a btc pump but stagnant when it comes to alts. Many predictions but no one really know what will happen to alts. So maybe, the best suggestion is to make a quick trade for small coins and hold those who are already have big volume. Ex, eth and bnb.

For those of you who know the cycle of 4 years in the world of Bitcoin will certainly not be surprised anymore about the current market situation, because indeed every year before Halving Bitcoin Occurs, the price of Bitcoin always decreases and a year after Halving Bitcoin later then the price of Bitcoin / Crypto will return to the moon. Yes, this is absolutely right, in generally i think if BTC dominant increased than all of the crypto space going to pumped. Crypto market situation will be strongly involved with BTC up & down. It's because at the early of 2018 many projects are failed and some of the are scam. This is why investors are losing interest with altcoin and choosing bitcoin for long term investing

This is one of the reasons for it, and probably, even the main one. However, there is another reason for it. Altcoins do not show explosive growth because a period of accumulation has started, and it is supposed to last until 2020. After that, the best-rated (top-100) altcoins will go to the Moon, and other tokens will also add. Now, more people are concentrated on deals with Bitcoin as the most reliable crypto.

This has happened a long time ago, when BTC goes up ALT will go up and when it goes down ALT also goes down. but now it's different because the BTC's dominance is already too high due to the lack of investor interest in ALT, which makes the market turnaround more dominant every day to BTC, the reason is clear because many of ALT are shitcoin so investors prefer investing in BTC.

I feel like what is happening now is that we're getting ready and being set up for another big uptrend bullish cycle. For months we were at the mercy of the bears and even got to as low as $3k usd bitcoin value. But now, seeing bitcoin reach $13k again and then correcting down to $7k, it seems a higher low has been solidified and theres nothing left but to rise.

Of course, this is only my opinion, trade at your own risk.

Projects are failed because investors are panic due to btc price crash, so they leave and take all of their investment.
I think if btc has reached it's trend again, investors will come back and investing their money into crypto projects

I don't think so.
Most of the ICOs are just scams and repetitive. There is no reason to collect user's money in projects like these. User's got bored of this and eventually lost interest in investing. This is how the ICO market fell.

the choice in investing depends on the confidence of the investors themselves in choosing long-term or short-term investments and in my opinion there is always a risk that bitcoin investment is a long-term investment with greater risk and requires considerable patience in investing

Bitcoin is investment always risk but we earn good profit for all the time. So experts never say this risk factor because we they know how to survive the any situation. The current situation Bitcoin is the best investment for both short term and long term investment, But day trading is hard to predict but still everyone earn good profit.

Except that the ico market *hasn't* exactly fallen yet.  There are still a lot of projects coming out with stolen whitepapers, fake identities of team members, and bounties that don't pay or that require participants to do kyc right at the end.  As soon as I stop seeing those scam accusation threads I'll be convinced that ico's are dead.

Already started there is no bright spot that will arise in an ICO so it's time to go and find other ways to make coins that can make you a millionaire.
Good luck becoming a millionaire in crypto now.  It was possible back in 2009-10 and maybe even up to 2015 if you had enough investment capital and had the foresight to hold bitcoin through 2017, but now everyone knows about bitcoin and I seriously doubt there's going to be growth like there was in the early days.

hello friend,
in 2017 I was very happy when I saw the price of Bitcoin increase in coinmarketcap because when the price of Bitcoin increases, then the price of Altcoin will immediately increase too, but for now when the price of Bitcoin increases and it does not affect for the prices of Altcoin (even still down), then when the price of Bitcoin goes down and at that time the price of Altcoin will go down too, so I do not understand the current state of the market and what is happening right now.
2017 was a cryptoseasons, most coins hyped and FOMOed by many people, that's why bitcoin and altcoins can grow even so high

then, in 2018 and 2019 bearish market coming, we just see coin go down and down which make us scared

in this time, just bitcoin can grow, altcoin doesnt. we have to wait until altseason hyped again so altcoin can grow too

I think you shouldn't panic, this is the price stabilization phase for Bitcoin. As you can see Bitcoin is still the king of the cryptocurrency market, it needs a lot of time to stabilize and grow. I believe that in a few months, Bitcoin will be more stable and its price will surpass $ 15,000. This is a good time for us to buy Bitcoin and hold them. Besides, we can also buy some potential altcoins such as Ethereum, Tether, Litecoin, EOS.

If we talk about cryptocurrency in 2017, it will never be forgotten because in that year the most beautiful moment in the crypto world.
Both bitcoin and altcoins at that time were at the highest price, entering 2018 until now the worst i feel. During these two years the long
bearish market, many traders are vacant and even retired. But we don't may surrender to this situation, all we need is patience and
confidence that the bullish market is coming soon. See many positive news in 2020 including halving bitcoin will make 2020 repeat the
triumph of cryptocurrency like in 2017. Let's hold all the bitcoins and altcoins we have until the price of cryptocurrency returns to the top.

This is a very risky time to invest but I believe that anything can happen during this time so put your trust in the big coins that are available. I always analyze the volatility of this market every day and certainly Bitcoin can reach $15,000 in 2020. Of course this is just my prediction and everything needs to depend a lot on the investor as they can decide the next trend of this market.

I usually don't worry much when investing in Bitcoin because this is the safest coin in the market and is held by a lot of other large investors so Bitcoin will certainly be pumped in the near future.

But anything can happen in crypto, many projects scam, bitcoin price crashed and investors left. But it didn't make me retire from cryptocurrency world and still waiting the throne of bitcoin to comeback but i'm not expecting next year or in near future, i've a plan for investing for 10 years ahead maybe it will be a promising and the price would go back to more than 20K USD in the future

That's the initial capital that must be traversed to play virtual currencies. we will not always make a profit every day. Will taste the bitter and sweetness of the crypto world journey. but this is the most exciting thing where we can do things that are beyond our expectations.
Cryptocurrency is not only the starting capital for a big business, because for some, cryptocurrency itself has become a source of large funds.  Today, there are a lot of questions for the cryptocurrency market, but many of my friends invested their money in good projects and left all their assets for long-term storage, while only 20% of their assets are used for trading to make a profit almost daily.

I think it still affects the price of the altcoins. Bitcoin is known to be the most popular and most expensive coin of all time and most of the altcoins gets its support from it. You should always pay attention to the coin you are currently investing to but always make sure too that you watch out for bitcoin's price. You can get a better idea and decision making if you are aware on how bitcoin's getting manipulated. Make actions , even the smallest one would matter in time of desperation.

It is never going to be as easy as it was back then but someone that had a decent capital could still become a millionaire with cryptocurrencies, but if you are only using the top coins then I estimate you will need at least 100000 dollars and decent skills as a trader.

Even if bitcoin only produced 5x during the next decade a talented trader should be able to get at least twice that amount, is it possible to get 10x during the next decade? I believe so but few will have the patience to pull it off.

Altcoin price is becoming stable in the market even though the price of Bitcoin fluctuates, so definitely we are going to see altcoin upward trend in the market. Yes, Bitcoin is one of the best coins in the market where we should hold them in the long term instead of selling for the lowest prices.

I think it's natural because the altcoins season is not yet time to happen, I believe when the altcoins season comes later the price of altcoins will definitely surge too. We are aware of the bear market that occurred after a strong bullish trend in 2017 and the bear market is very dominating throughout the year, this is just about time so whatever happens every year is a process for better growth, still to be consistent with patience and confidence the strong one.

A lot of people believe that the altcoin season is coming but I think we can continue to stay in the bear market for a few more years because until now there hasn't been any specific analysis predicting the altcoin season. Now you may be optimistic about investing but don't rush to invest because any investment at this time will put you at great risk and will make people more worried.

If you want to predict altcoin season, it is best to have more new investment funds join this market because if the whale does not pump, the crypto market will continue to maintain the downtrend.

I think that many will agree with me that there are quite a lot of bad coins on the cryptocurrency market and nobody needs companies that have no future prospects.  Not only I think so, but many cryptocurrency users, as well as analysts, argue that a very small amount of the total number of cryptocurrencies will remain in the future, because only the most popular cryptocurrencies will operate, as well as those that will be used by humans in practice  .  What is happening with the market today is most likely the result of the manipulation of speculators who, through their actions, support certain projects.  But if the cryptocurrency market is cleared with the help of ordinary cryptocurrency users and investors, then a period of real correction of the entire market will come, after which only the most promising coins will remain.

but in real projects that do not have that development also get funding for the development of their projects. even their community is well built. unfortunately, they don't have good products and development. the average project is now like that. as a result, their markets are bad and their token price growth is also bad.

You need lot of information to understand that the market iis always fluctuates. If you ask why the market is always down then go up it because market is depending to what's in demand in the market. Bitcoin and altcoin will not same but as you see that bitcoin is increase and the altcoin in not because many investors buy btc and some are in altcoin. If bull run comes you will see the changes bitcoin will up and altcoins will follow.

That's why we now do not see much growth in the cryptocurrency market. Prices for Altcoins are very low and Bitcoin continues to take capital out of Altcoins with rising prices.

This is part of the tag war between the Bitcoin market and the altcoin market. When Bitcoin is bullish, the capital that is supposed to be entering into the altcoin market is going to be diverted into Bitcoin. That is expected when there is a bull run that is believed to be coming into the Bitcoin market. The speculation of Bitcoin remains bullish despite the price falling from $9,000.

I also think that we need most of the coins to disappear before the market can make further progress but the best thing is that we do not really have to do anything.

In order for those coins to disappear we only need to ignore those projects and not invest in them, and we are already seeing good results there are many developers complaining that no one is investing in their projects and this is a step in the right direction because we do not need more useless coins in this market.

it looks like Altcoin is no longer following Bitcoin because as you can see if ifs there is a pump on the price of Bitcoin then that's it has absolutely no effect again on the price of Altcoin. I don't know why that can happen now because a few years ago Bitcoin and Altcoin always going up on together. maybe there is a seasonal rise and now we are in the Bitcoin season.

The effect will not be instant, bitcoin needs to show first that it could be stable and bullish at the same time, then we can expect altcoins to being rising as well.

I don't know why that can happen now because a few years ago Bitcoin and Altcoin always going up on together. maybe there is a seasonal rise and now we are in the Bitcoin season.

You said it right, it's seasonal that's why we are waiting for the altcoin season to again witness a good rise in the market, eventually there will be FOMO that would drive the price to even rise more, and that will make this market to be in the news again and people begin investing, but once season is over, we will be back to a correction that most will suffer again especially those who didn't understand the nature of the project.

I don't think so. If you look at the volatility of this market, Bitcoin is the only coin that can make altcoins rise or fall at any time. I believe that altcoins are still very dependent on bitcoins so both of them must still go together for the time being. There may not be many big changes but I believe that one day altcoins can rise in price without any Bitoin intervention.

Of course things are unpredictable but the altcoin season will soon return by 2020 so opportunities are still waiting for everyone in the near future so plan and make safe choices.

Gone are the days when investors fill there bags with Alt when bitcoin price surges. Majority of Alts has proven to pump and dump. Investors want crypto assets that have real use cases and products. This aid the increase in price even without Bitcoin surge. The time has come for people to be careful with where they invest their money.

it looks like Altcoin is no longer following Bitcoin because as you can see if ifs there is a pump on the price of Bitcoin then that's it has absolutely no effect again on the price of Altcoin. I don't know why that can happen now because a few years ago Bitcoin and Altcoin always going up on together. maybe there is a seasonal rise and now we are in the Bitcoin season.
Altcoins are not following bitcoin anymore because many have realized after years of losses that they have been deceived since altcoins do not really have any hope of surpassing bitcoin.

Now you can speculate with them if you want and I do not have anything against it but always remember that you should not hold those coins for long and if you think there is something wrong then sell your coins even for a small loss since you could always recover that money by just holding your bitcoin.

hello friend,
in 2017 I was very happy when I saw the price of Bitcoin increase in coinmarketcap because when the price of Bitcoin increases, then the price of Altcoin will immediately increase too, but for now when the price of Bitcoin increases and it does not affect for the prices of Altcoin (even still down), then when the price of Bitcoin goes down and at that time the price of Altcoin will go down too, so I do not understand the current state of the market and what is happening right now.
In my opinion, 2017 was the year of the crypto bubble when all the coins were pushed very strongly and it formed a huge bubble and then it had to burst, because that's the rule of economic operation.
Now the market is operating normally again and there are no further manipulations. therefore, its price only fluctuates lower.

altcoin is now no longer inversely proportional to Bitcoin. the last thing i remember is altcoin will pump when bitcoin is stable after pump is high. so when bitcoin pumps are small, then altcoin will drop ... and when altcoin tries to make a pump, but bitcoin holds it with a dump. so altcoin can't pump. Why is it like that.? I think too many investors have lost and are afraid of altcoin. this is the effect of a decrease after the high pump of Bitcoin. others are from ICO tokens / ICO projects.

Altcoins with large market cap will follow BTC trend in most cases.

for the last 10 days the market has continued to bleed out,

BTC went from 9,400$ to $8,100, so if you had 10 BTC ten days ago, you would be at a 13k loss right now with the same holding.   ETH having the same issue:  ETH was at 190$ and fell to $176 and continues to bleed, if you had 100 ETH 10 days ago, today you would be at a loss of $1400.  BNB:  10 Day high was 21.50$ and today is $18.70  if you had 100 BNB you would have a loss of $270 today.

Too me it looks to be following the same downward trend, attest for the top 10

Key factors influence the market more then speculation.

1:  Facebook libra,  sumer 2019 was announced causing bitcoin to soar to 13K, after months of regulation and negative publicity, the market saw a decline as investors lost hope for a early adoption of libra.

2:  Facebook testimony earlier this month to regulators caused bitcoin panic and crypto prices dropped significantly within minutes after the announcement

2: Chinese President announced this month in the media that china had interest in crypto currency and this cause the market to boost from low of $7100 to 10K in just hours.  Since then the president has been toning down his stance on crypto causing the market once again to fall.

In my opinion BTC and altcoins will only benefit from positive media and significant adoption by major players to get investor hope back into investing.

the pattern is always like that, bitcoin is pump first to make many people confident with crypto
then, altcoins will follow with super crazy pump because low liqudity

we just have to follow how pattern does, it may be not that easy
but if we learn, we can!

What is happening now is the impact of big changes for cryptocurrency besides that the price difference has also fallen very far and even dumped up to 70% of the price in 2017 but it will not be permanent because every year the price is always up and down the graph, as long as the altcoin garbage that is scattered around the market is increasingly making prices continue to fall, hopefully in the future altcoin garbage in the market can be lost so as not to affect investor confidence in cyptocurrency
as long as there are still many ico/ieo projects, then shitcoins will not be lost in the future. the key is that investors stop investing in a project and focus on investing in altcoin or bitcoin. the less that invests in a project, the less shitcoins will be. If that can be done, then the big hopes on alts and btc will be bright in the future.

I don't think stopping all of the ICO/IEO projects will help rid us all of shitcoins. As long as Bitcoin and other coins like it are open source, there's always going to be someone who thinks that they can make an easy buck just copying Bitcoins source code, changing a few of the graphics/text, and compiling it. Even if you took away ICO's, they'll still just add in a premine or something stupid to make some money off of.

Still we cannot consider this as the big growth for Bitcoin market because we have seen Bitcoin value reaches more than 20k USD in the market but now the value has been half the way down.

Let's hope for the good growth in coming days which can push the value over the 10k USD minimum.

We all been expecting a bull run before the year ends but it seems that the table is turning now and it is way below that the expected amount we wished it to be and it is a bit disappointing because what we usually here is the bull is coming this and that but look where we are now.
Not all for sure, how about those people who short the market, they are happy if the market keeps going down.
maybe majority are hoping for a bull run but it looks like its less likely to happen this year, we have a bad november so far due to the dump, especially today, so 1 month is not enough to change the market, maybe a little run in December would happen but for sure its not a bull run.

I just hope really that 2019 will not end with a very low price, we may be at the $7k mark now and I just hope that it will atleast hit again the $10k.
I am also hoping for that, at least that more or less 200% increase from the all time low this year.

There are too many incentives for shitcoins to keep existing, speculators despite what they claim love to invest in a coin and earn 100% in a single day and the only way this can happen is if the coin being pumped is useless.

After all you can try to pump and dump a coin that is actually good but for that you will need many times more money and there is the chance your manoeuvre does not work and you lose money, I really believe that many of those behind pump and dump groups release their own coins that can be easily pumped.

Until the price of bitcoin comesback and its ATH will be succeeded, we can see the light for the market. However, until now the price of bitcoin stabilize. I think it is due to the whales which are not yet ready to put money in this industry. And I believe also that news trigger bitcoin and make it so fast. If there is a consistent and no bias then looking forward for bull run.

Just wait until the end of this year and early next year when all of the news stations start quoting how much Bitcoin is up this year. That will get people to start investing again and will probably send us into a full blown bull market. Whenever you start talking about 200%-300% gains in a year, it really starts piquing peoples interests and will draw in new investors again.

I will advise you not expect something much from the crypto even when it early next year and I have said before in some of previous post that the last 2 months of Q4 before bitcoin halving till the Q1 of the halving year are season of buying in the most dip the market are highly manipulated during those season.

Well i am a little disappointed as well because in this current month i have expected bitcoin's price to be staying in the $9k - $10k range but right now it is in the $7.2k range but today i am seeing it as a opportunity to buy btc and altcoins. As of now we only have a little over a month left till the year ends and i am still hoping for btc price to go $10k or higher.
When the market is stagnant for months you should expect that the market will shake itself to have some movement, the price was not going further and i had an inclination that the price could drop so that it will accumulate the steam and go up further, we have seen these kind of market situation in the past and i expecting the same market situation this time too and for everyone who trust the market, you can consider this as an opportunity to invest and hold for the long term.

Unfortunately you're right majority of coins now are in red status because of bitcoin, alts are following btc and this is happening for few days already.

Well if btc recover some alts are pulling up too so instead of wondering what seems to be the reason of why market is declining better buy btc and alts. Thats what we can do if the price is cheap, take advantage the market.

An interesting situation is right now. The price of Bitcoin has fallen to $6600 and is starting to rebuild. If we see a 10% or more increase today, it means that the upward trend may start, but if the price does not break $7400 today, it is very likely that the price will continue to fall.

No one knows why alcoin is not affected by BTC anymore so BTC is very strong in the top line and alcoin is still going down even though BTC has increased. is it possible that bitcoin is a very good coin to invest in or maybe this is yes does anyone want to add?
But definitely i think altcoins price will depend on the Bitcoin price movement. Now you can check the coinmarketcap and see the bitcoin price how much dumping and whole market are badly affected in the short time. Obviously BTC dominating in the market because it's the top coin in the crypto space.

While it is true that the market of altcoins is not showing any kind of positive movement at the same time if I was holding good altcoins I will probably not choose this moment to sell my altcoins in exchange for bitcoin.

The bitcoin dominance is simply too high and at some point it will have to go down a little bit and if you sell now your coins it is likely that you are going to regret it when during the next months the price of altcoins begins to recover a little bit against bitcoin.

I think what is happening now is very normal, this is all included in their cryptocurrency regulations. Every year there is a cycle of ups and downs so fast. In the last few weeks the price of BTC has begun to rise while altcoin is still dumping. I am sure this will not last long. back and stable as before, so we wait for the process

We should always wait for the market to recover the altcoin but this cycle will repeat again and again. To become stable it will take time to recover the altcoin prices, but bitcoin is fluctuating hugely it is impossible for us to predict the prices when the altcoin prices will recover.

Waiting and patience are safe solutions for many investors but if you are looking for a new investment opportunity, this time will be very good because hundreds of coins are at very cheap prices and are very suitable for profit. However, you need to spend some time to research because any investment will be risky if you are not careful. This year the market is still in a downtrend and could get worse by 2020.

Yes,,, same here. I do feel a little "sad" when I see my holdings drop but I always remind myself that actually I am STILL in profit after all these years, since I am a long term holder.

It was actually only those stupid alts I tried to speculate on that I am in loss:)

So my lesson is always learned. Now I simply do not invest and speculate. I hold what I always have held!

yes i know that in the last time, cycle always repeats again, but it doesnt mean that will happen again in the future

it is important, so people dont just invest in crypto and wait. But know the good strategy to invest in crypto

I really can't provide a direct answer to this since I'm still not that good at understanding the crypto space. But one of the things that I've observed is that when bitcoin goes stable, it goes up and it may affect altcoins in a good way. When I entered the crypto space, it was 2017 and the altcoin-bitcoin direct proportion is happening and until 2018 up to present, there are a lot of changes that are hard to predict. Because of this, I just focus on investing in small alts that are good.

Take those losses as a learning experience, what you are experiencing is something that most of us have gone through, the same happened to me years ago, I was really enthusiastic about an altcoin that I thought will become really profitable in the future and I invested my money in it thinking that it was a sure way to make easy profits.

You probably already know how that ended I lost a significant amount of the money that I invested but it was a very important lesson in my development as an investor.

These days, a rise in the price of bitcoin has little or no significance on the altcoins, it seems  the graph of correlation has changed. I have read many articles on this new trend but I have not come across any logical explanation on it. This is killing the confidence of most people who wish to hodl in altcoins.

You are right ! indeed the price of bitcoin today has risen slightly.
but I am optimistic that in 2020 bitcoin can reach $ 20,000 as it did at the end of 2017.
that's my hope.

The price of btc managed to recover up to $7500 recently but now it is down again to $7200, somehow this is not a bad scenario because the price is showing improvement. Alts on the other side are still down I think this will continue until there's no good news circulating to affect the price of crypto as a whole.

For us holders its better not to focus on the current price of our coins but instead look forward for the future because there's more room for development, who knows next year will be good for crypto.

True, we better keep our faith high while we are holding and wait until the market is stable to recover fully.
Price movement is not stable yet, suddenly it will pump high and slowly it will start to dump, this isn't what we are expecting and like to see, therefore its not our time to sell yet as holders should follow the principle in crypto which is to HODL, if we do that effectively then that proves we really are a real holder.

if you are not ready in holding for years then stop advising such words.

better buy altcoins and take even 2-5% profit and be contented than holding for just a month then panicking if the price continue dropping.
And that is the hardest part of such strategy, everyone talks as if holding your coins is the easiest thing in the world and that is not true, holding your coins is very difficult and requires great discipline and knowing very well what are your goals for your coins.

And in order to get the desired results you have to wait for years and sometimes that is not enough, just look at all of those that have been holding altcoins during the last two years, they are having significant losses and in the best scenario they are barely breaking even.
