I just tried day trading in eth and the price fluctuations which happens continuously is something where we can make profit in daily basis, guys from today morning to evening I could have earned nearly 15 to 20$. Buying low and selling in a reasonable profit, again when it comes to my price I use to buy and sell for a reasonable margin this will work only if there's continuously fluctuation, just have a try and make daily profit.

How much the capital you had for that trade? in every possible cryptocurrency, you can have your day trading.
As long as the coin is not a stable coin, you can do day trading on it. But it does requires patience and most of the time, if you don't have it, you will lose your trades. Congratulations for making a profit with your try.

Honestly, doing it consistently would be hard. It's going to be an emotional ride whenever it comes away out of your favor. It's going to need a mental discipline in which you would continue your trading without getting carried away. It’s essential for your goal.

One good thing is to have a goal per day in which you could trade and many hours of it too. For the best experience of trading, I still believe that using a trading bot like Gunbot (https://gunbot.ph) would be beneficial.

market trend is unknown at the moment. you can do it only in bull market. you can buy from lower high and sell at higher high. but in bear it is extremely dangerous, since there is n exact dip point.

Buying low and selling high is only for the patience ones, that's the problem many traders are having, if you don't have enough patience you will end up in losses, you will make some bad choices you will regret, I don't use ethereum though as I prefer bitcoin more, it's more stable and predictable for me

I don't know why you mentioning ETH so specifically because day trading is big fish if played in proper manner. One observation is prime here, almost all the coins move in the same harmony. Its always advisable to play in the "bulk" quantities rather than low qty with high priced coins such as ETH. I mean bulk qty gets multiplied heavily with smaller changes while high priced coins doesn't.

You surely we miss the trusted coin like ETH in the foreground of day trading but idk why but it's far safer to play the lower priced coins in this trading market. You get ensured safety with low risk of loosing lot of money at once / investing lot of money at once.

We are on a huge green trend for a while so any crypto can give you good profits if you are doing day trade with it but don't forget you also could lose more in no time.Better use the stop loss and stable coin pair to minimize your losses.

Extremely with ethereum trading because allow with bitcoin price only when bitcoin going down, you can ration after bitcoin going down ethereum allow with bitcoin and down too. Later you can check when bitcoin going up and stable on higher price very difficulty for ethereum back to higher price. Vitalik is not serious how to get new partner for ethereum and become most worth coin for the future, just take profit for him self and never care other investor will ethereum back to higher price or not, I miss with ethereum ever reached above $1,5k last there years ago.

Let me guess base on what he earn daily I think his capital is around 100-300$ to earn that amount daily.



I do this kind of trading before  you can earn 5 upto 15% daily if we are in bull run what ever coins it is just make sure you are only trading  popular crypto currency and not only base on market cap of the coins or tokens since it can be faked.

I think that is still possible because of the way bitcoin is moving and it’s showing trends like fiat which is making the market more stable for day trading and there are still lots of crypto you can day trade with just watch yourself for now because when bitcoin actually breaks the $14,000 barrier then day trading would become risky

Yes, I have traded eth for usdt and it does work but due to my work offline i am not able to trade continuously and im also now holding for parabolic run to take profit and i do not want to miss out on it.

Even if you don't trade at all you might have made 3 to 4% profit when it is in bull run with no risk.And when it comes to day trading we can't just go with the popular crypto currency alone if you want maximum profits, you should also go with the trending coin it could be a shit coin but still can generate hue profits in the 24 hours time frame.

What was your capital amount ? Please share the details as this question has been asked multiple times because this will help other users in their trading as it will give them an idea, it's always good to sell at reasonable price rather than waiting for peak value as one might end up losing the capital if they miss the timings.

Day trading is good but i feel really stressed up while day trading, it kinds of gives me un ending anxiety and i cannot focus on anything else and i nust kept checking charts and prices everyother minute which just lead me to give up active trading because of the amount of stress i was feeling due to trading.

We know that day trading can be profitable, that is not really new, the issue is if you are good enough to get those profits in a consistent way and this depends on your strategy and your capital, if you only have 100 dollars then I can tell you that earning 15% to 20% daily is simply not going to happen, however if your capital is 10k then you only need to earn 0.15% to 0.20% daily which is a very realistic goal if you ask me and a decent trader should have no problems earning that kind of money.

Stick with high liquidity or volume coins then you're good to go when it comes to day trading.I have tried mainly with Btc of course and also with ETH as well.
Price do move in some percentage on an entire day which would be sufficient for you to deal with.There are times where btc price isnt really that moving much
thats why you do always have the option to look for some alternative which is mostly on top altcoins for you to deal with.

If one is increasing its total eth as a result of trading then it is awesome for the person but i have seen people getting trapped and missing out on big bull runs just because they were trading and they kept holding stablecoin while the price of eth grew to new highs. So trading is not that simple as it seems.

I did not try it doing day trading ETH because of these Im focusing some other altcoins that have a chance to make into increase the price maybe if I have time on that Im not sure yet if I just want to make it hobby. It was too hard to doing that but if we want earn more this is our chance to start but we need a capital for trading.

That's really great. But it will work only when there is much volatility to the ETH price. For me, trading is not working as expected because we must give plenty of time to perform the trading, especially day trading. Of course, short-term trading can be done but for that technical analysis is required.

Making $20 odd everyday from eth trading consistently with obviously small investment is not bad at all. I would like to encourage you to trade with even higher amount if you are confident about your strategy and you can extract higher profits. Earning consistently from this market is a tough job and if you are doing it you must be a quality trader to say the least.

Becoming a day trader is not a matter of day or tomorrow getting profit but day trading is more about how we get sustainable profit every day.  Although high fluctuation, I don't think that's the only reason for us earning some profit as day trading because the market doesn't fluctuate every day.

Trading requires special expertise because it must be able to predict price movements. We must have technical analysis skills to read the market but trading can be profitable if we are able. For now, I am thinking more about holding my coins long term and therefore, I chose coins that are in the top 40 coinmarketcap

Like what OP said it's depends  if there's continuously fluctuation, you can bring something out from this coin since the price movement
is really active, day trade is easy to position yourself.

You have to be aware of how thigs may move along the way, in the case of ETH where it mostly followed bitcoin the chance that you can
build a good track for both buy and sell position can be done with proper research and study.

I think when BTC hit 14k and become stable I might jump up on that but when there is high fluctuations like the one now anything can actually happen and you might end up crushed It can be profitable but again dont forget is highly risky and things can fly sideways easily

This is why a trader should really be careful because of price fluctuations. We can’t predict prices but good thing Op was able to earn profit a day. Choosing top coins in the market is also a good choice so invest with risks in this market.

If the strategy is giving you satisfaction you can continue doing that but i would wait for over an year to book my profit, there were times in the past two rallies when i played liked that and then missed out on the big rally as i was not able to buy back the coins in time and so this time i am not going to play on those terms and probably miss out.

Ive been trading in a daily basis, too but hard to achieved $20 profit a day because, as you said it suddenly flactuates and my stop loss always triggered. You got the right entry and exit points that's why you earn that amount daily by doing repeatedly trades in a day.

Since in daily trading , we took advantage of the small price movements and requires full attention to the market. Not everyone is fond of a daily trading as it is more risky and I've been trying to become a daily trader, too but honestly it is really difficult to make a profit in a daily basis that is why I prefer swing trading that I can close my trades in a few days.

I have assumed if you are using more than a few hundreds dollars, right? basically, that's easy to earn $50 from the daily trade as long as we are using a short term trade.
I have been making regular profit from the daily trade on the some altcoins like dot, chainlink and other.

It's very risky. Trading in crypto market is big risk and you can loose your everything what you holding. Exchanges provided you big liquidity and they manipulate the price within a minitues and you will loss everything. Thats a good profit for day trading. You probably use an above average capital to earn 15 to 20$. Well I have not tried to use eth for day trading and already stop to be a day trader long ago due to lack of time.

Woww ! i accidentally saw a topic that made me remember myself when trading, i used to spend a long time at home working, and every day I take time to learn how to trade. At first, i had a small profit but then everything was over. And i see that this market will kill you if you are unprepared. Day traders should develop systems and spend most of their time monitoring the market in as much detail as possible to find signals that it is time to buy or sell.
It takes a lot of time, skill, and expertise to do.
In other words, day trading is only suitable for professional traders
and is not recommended for beginners
And a little advice from me, when doing day trading make sure that you will never do "chase losses".

wow i never knew that eth fluctuate much as btc that it can be also good to use it for trades but is it really ? because i feel that it isnt.  for regular trades maybe but not for daily trading because all i can see in eth is its stability . arbitrage trade can also be more possible because you arent going to depend on the fluctuation of the coin but your basing on the price of eth on different exchange sites . before btc was also discuss for trading but thats not wierd to hear that and btc also works best on day trading because of its high fluctuations but altcoins are really best for any kinds of trades

It's possible mate I did few analysis and worked on it, when a coin is unstable the market continues to fluctuate you can definitely make profit I mean small profits but this purely depends on the coin, doesn't matter it is bearish or bullish just follow the trend and have a try.

I also tried day trading from time to time and I started day trading with Ethereum and sometimes it turned out to get a good profit, and sometimes the day closed with loses and therefore after a while I stopped receiving profit from day trading, because it takes a lot of time and you constantly need to monitor the cryptocurrency market, so I would not recommend this option to get a profit.

Ethereum is good coin for trading and making some cool cash especially now that Eth2.0 launch isn't far. Trading works for some people and for some, it end in depression. I have tried but it never work out pretty well due to the last pandemic market sell off.

• Stop limit is very important, most trader over look this and end up in loss

So how much where you supposed to risk to gain just $15-$20 you speak off, That'll be around $380, I try to avoid trying to day trade ethereum as there is so many things that can go wrong. Ethereum is the king of all alts and when bitcoin moon it dumps other cryptocurrency which ethereum is a part of. The market has been all focus on bitcoin which should be the most preferable coin to trade now. Its dominance is increasing showing a strong support for the currency unlike that yif altcoin market that's falling.

Day trading doesn't really pick and choose which coin you want to day trade, there is nothing wrong with day trading ETH, or day trading BTC or basically day trading any coin out there ever, this is not really just one coin deal, you can day trade anything you want. Hell if you are so hellbent on day trading something weird, you could day trade collectibles in crypto now, buy a cat and sell a cat if you want, all possible (talking about cryptokitty :D not real ones). So long story short, day trading ETH is certainly a real deal, you could do that, and if you want to trade it to btc you can do that but since eth is second ranked and huge you could do it directly with usdt as well, add the fact that it has been 400 and back to 400 and back just in 10 day span, it is volatile enough to profit as well.

Gosh, you simple managed to trade during the time, when Ethereum jumped. It will not happen all the time, ETH price has a low volatility now. I am not sure that Ether is the best altcoin for day trading choose some other cryptocurrency better.

Ethereum price movements are so fast, that's why we can earn a good amount of profits there, but because Ethereum price is expensive of course must using huge funds, so for people like me which only using small funds choosing Ethereum as day trading is not worth it. Day trading is quite good because if you are at your work or job, you can do it during your free time. It can also be a great sideline or extra source of income for you most especially if you have a lot of monthly expenses to pay and a family to feed. Day trading is a big help for me because I am just a student only and through day trading I can support my studies with my own money.

It is not about Eth or any single coin but day trading any financial market is a challenging task especially if you do not use stop loss and take profit features you can easily get trapped with all your money hanging in few open trades that are in loss. So without proper strategy you will not be able to make anything out of day trading.

In my opinion day trading is quite risky for new or irregular traders. And about ETH day trading, i think ETH pumping from past 24 hours because of Vitalic tweets which about ETH2 Genesis Block Time. That's why many people thinking ETH might be go up till couple of days. In bull run day trading is a good option but as usual time i love to choose short time trade.

Maybe for now you have a chance to make a profit in daily trading, as Eth's price continues to increase. If the price falls again, and continues to fall, it is very difficult to predict. Patience in trading is needed, maybe most of you think don't panic when trading.

To be honest, I have been doing that this recent year. Put 5 minutes chart and put some indicators to help me analyze the chart, I got so much losses at the beginning when I tried it out the first time due to how volatile the price is, but once you know how to read the chart and predict the event later, we can get money from that.

It's not so fast as another altcoin which traded below ethereum's price. You didn't even need a huge funds to be started to trade on ethereum. Dude imagine when you can generate a few dollars in a trade but you can did this for more than 10 times. that's more than enough to make sure you will have filled all of your daily needs with the profit from your trade.
The problem is people can't do that caused by when they were trading crypto and they have been putting very big expectation from what they have bought.

Yes. Market conditions continue to improve. I think day trading is just right. Not only on ethereum, but we can also trade several coins, so there are many opportunities to make a profit.

Day trading is part of everyone’s plan. There are people who wants to even quit their jobs and be doing this on a full time, but it is not an easy job. The way it was easy for you to trade and grab a few bucks from the market's fluctuation is not how it is for some of us, like me. I can’t trade that perfectly, most times I have to rely on people who are very good. And that means I have to go for a long term or HODL, that has always been the way for me.

day trading is much like gambling to be honest, you might think you can make profit from the fluctuation but there's time you gonna lose as big as the profit you made within an instant and market tends to go down anyway. ETH is good for trading but not the kind of coin you'll be expecting it gratefully work in day-trading but this fits into long-term goal trading.

Higher volatile coin/s is the most preferred when we are in day-trading as what I've observed. I'd use, Bitcoin, ETH, and some altcoins but above all I've mentioned, Bitcoins seems of great result than the rest.

You can try both of them ETH and BTC, all together, and to know which one works best and show more profit.

Holding ETH is far better if you are aiming for much higher profits. Base from how this coin moves from the past,

the chance of getting much better benefits are there in the long term holdings.
In regards to future trading, if you fully understand how this types of trading works then the

i under estimated eth because i thought eth was only good at stability but nope because this part of the year eth is showing something different . eth is now good as btc when it comes to day trade purposes  . 15 usd is already an above minimun salary on most countries , your doing a great job if you can continue this range of profit and you can make a living off to that alone without needing to work for other jobs obviously because you said your trading full time into it starting from morning to evening but atleast you enjoy it because that was your real passion which was trading

The current 24 hours high/low shows that ETH is only having about $15 - $20 of fluctuation in it's price and even the weekly high/low is only about $40 of difference in price.
Though this means that we need to have a good amount as a capital investment to earn daily profits of $15 - $20.
I guess at least $500 will be needed to earn $15 - $20 of daily profit. I think it would be better to choose some other altcoin with better volatility to earn profits in daily trading.
May be trading XRP, LTC etc.. woul yield higher profits in daily trading.

if you trade Ethereum on a daily basis, it doesn't guarantee you can do it and get profit every day,
that's for the spot market, it can be done but in futures trading,
and I don't recommend futures trading because you can very easily lose capital.

Doing this everyday and earning 15 bucks. That's really not bad at all, a good replacement for your day job and you can do it comfortably at your home and less risk especially these days. Better stay at home as much as possible. But to achieve that, one should know the risks involved and of course, keep up with the simple trading rule - buy low, sell high. If you will stick to this rule, I guess you will not be on the negative side.

Day trading of ETH will not really give good profits anyways if you have good amount of ETH you may gain profits but leaving it for some moments together with the news around ETH these days should give more profits. Am all in for ETH, BTC  for now. And I have been making profits. I know we might feel a little bit scared but you can have short term but daily I am not a party to that though and it's all about choice.

Thats the best way to doing right now buying and selling and we can make that also into different altcoins not only ETH even in a bitcoin we can do daily trading if we courage to doing that thing. If you have much money above $10k it become good position to buy and sell etehreum day by day because almost one day I check ethereum have change price about 5% and you can get profit if you have much money. I have try right now with salary above $10k I can earn about $200 every day with little change price of ethereum, I trade day by day without think ethereum will raise to higher price later because I just wanna earn daily profit, I think will give many chance for buy back ethereum at lower price and sell on higher price, althout few percent change of etehreum with higher salary is enough to get profit every day.

I think daytrading (on ethereum) is not suitable if you only have a small budget, looking at ethereum prices with quite "low" fluctuations I think that maybe you can day trade other top coins with higher fluctuations

I actually trading ETH daily because what I want in ETH is the volatility where I can handle it unlike other altcoins out there where they are really volatile where my winning rate is so bad for a momentum trader like me. I using multi time frames when I trading ETH, these time frames are the 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour and 4 hours. For beginners I suggest do not yet try to use multi frame time frames because it is really confusing at the beginning but if you gain a lot of experience and knowledge then it is the time for you to try use it. I recently make a profit in ETH last 2 days ago where I bought at $441 with x5 leverage because of the rejection there and I make 15% gains in just hours.

That is good idea, early now, I applied the method of daily trading, and even increase by 2days trading, buy at low and sell higher, which I have been making small profit, with a currency peer of ETH/USDT And USDT/ETH respectively, having enjoying the trade with a little profit, but i Hung one day, while waiting the market to bearish, instead keep bullish and that is disadvantaged of the business.

Day trading for me is not really good because market isnvery unpredictable and that only can waste your effort in making a lot of eth when trading. Short term and long term trading (short term or long term). This is the kind of a  good strategy or plan in investing in my own opinion. Its not bad to trade ETH/USDT, the price volatility is also mirroring BTC/USDT. But you might have to trade a lot of ETH to substantially profit. split your time for what? day trading only takes time when we are satisfied with the results we get. market moments and determining assets are very important in day trading. we don't need to see the market for a whole day. I do daily trades in just 1-2 hours a day. but what we should know is not every day all coins have a moment for a proper day trading to make a profit.

The problem is that the price does not change much from what I have seen and for day trading you need a par of coins that changes a lot and you basically earn by the fluctuation that happens within the pair. I would rather go with a less stable coin maybe even XRP because it's price changes more than ETH if I am not wrong. But then again, I am not a expert and maybe when I saw market it behaved like that and now it has changed.

I did that for the past days and it work perfectly well but with spare cash because I personally believe the run of eth will be higher then. That of bitcoin. So I was buying from 453- 466 and selling at 471 but I think now I need to reset that range
