In this thread I share my opinion. I know 2 types of gambling. Sports and casino. I have both types experience. At first I started to play casino like roulette, dice, ludu. Roulette was my favourite casino table. One day I won 7k usd on roulette table. But I couldn't retain it. I lost all the usd in 10 minutes and day by day my lossing amount increased. Sometimes casino table was so tough. Whatever I bet all lost. No sequence maintained. If I won a day, I would loss 5 days at a stretch. It seemed all was fixed. I shifted to sports betting. I started to follow biggest football league like English premier League, la Liga, french Liga etc. Researched the teams statistics and placed bet. Gradually I covering my losses. What's your experience?

Sports betting is more profitable ofcourse since at the end of the day, players can make more informed decisions. Market research and then analysis generally help the people investing in them, then they can also watch out for other investors as well. Like here on the forum people generally discuss about it and you can very easily win if your chances are right.

On the other hand general gambling is much more risky and at the same time your chances of winning are way less in things like crash etc. Even slots!! Therefore if you are a sports person then you should definitely invest in sports betting.

I'm not a sports guy, so my answer would definitely be towards casino. Then again, in sports betting you can adjust a lot of factors on your bet in order for you to take the win. In casino games, odds are simply stacked against you, and for the most part you can't do anything against that. If you're already into sports and are looking to make some serious money, sports betting is the way to go. But if you're just trying to have some fun and enjoy your time with the few dollars that you have, casino games will give you just that.

If you were to start with a million and played for an unlimited amount of time, you are guaranteed to eventually lose all your money playing at a casino. The rules of probability and simple arithmetic are impossible to defeat, if for no other reason than the casino has at a minimum costs to cover for allowing you to play. The biggest income earner is in the sports betting industry, so I would go with the majority of gamblers and I'll pick sports betting. As for sport betting, I am so familiar with it.I wagered lots of money in it too, especially when I was still in collage. It was an interesting journey, but I realized that all these forms of gambling should never be done as a way of earning but rather as leisure or entertainment.

The main difference is twofold:

1) Sportsbetting is definitely way slower than regular casino games, so if you are impatient you should probably go with casino games instead.

2) You can actually potentially generate +EV through sportsbetting whether that is through arbitrage or tipstering, whereas there is no chance you can do the same with regular casino games like roulette.

There are many ways to classify gambling games, but one of the most simple are the games in which your actions have no impact on your chances to win and the games in which this is possible, an example of the former is the game of dice, in which no matter what you do your chances of winning or losing are always the same, and an example of the latter are sports bets, even if there is a house edge you can improve your chances of selecting the right bet more often than not if you have deep knowledge about the sport, it is not easy, but it is possible for the one with the right skills.

Nothing beats out strategic based type of gambling on which you could really take advantage if you do really know on what you are doing or simply making out some research and analysis with those teams

If you are lucky then you might able to win but if your greed do controls you then you wouldn't stop until you lost it all which is a very common behavior.

Bet on your like based on your preference. Whether it's sports betting or casino, you should understand that there's no easy way to get profit. You are doing gambling after all. However, since sports betting is not a typical luck-based gambling game, it will be better if you shift mostly on that and just do casino games on an occasional basis.

I can make sure that sports betting is more profitable because we can choose the best, especially in the big European leagues, maybe you already know which team will win. The statistics are quite easy to read.
I have almost all of the biggest advantages of sports over casinos.

For me the casino is just for entertainment and I never to consider winning but from an entertainment point of view, and that's why sports betting has to wait a bit more until the game is over.

It's really hard to make a profit when you are fighting against the house edge as we know the house will always win and the majority of gamblers has been always a loser. I will go on sports betting and other games that did not base on luck and the chances of winning a high compared to the house edge.
But sometimes, I have spent time in the casino, playing and beating the house edge will become challenging but I don't have to spend too much time on this because I still prefer on the skill game base.

The casino is just for fun and if you are looking for a good profit betting is good for you.

Well, sports betting is unlike casinos in that, you don't exactly lose all whatever you've won instantly since matches happen in a pretty long time span. Even if we consider you betting on the next match, the match still needs to happen so it feels like you aren't exactly losing your winnings instantly, but rather gradually. Casino gambling on the other hand, literally just start a new game and you could 100% lose all your money.

Honestly, Sports betting is WAY better than casinos. Sports betting at least has that logic you can follow, backed up with statistics and data and etc, while casino gambling is well, just luck. Sports gambling still has that luck factor involved, but it isn't as apparent as Casino gambling.

I have similar experience during use gambling sites such as OP that while playing on the casinos i was more often to lose because gambling results are based on pure of my luck and sport betting was slightly different that if we know teams strength, match statistics for the particular matches then very possible we can won every bets so compare to casino and sport betting i personally more prefer to sport betting even lately there was a person who can able to won hundreds thousands of dollars and this could be my inspiration to get better results from sport betting

Same here, I was a big fan of roulette and slots machines in the past. But we all know that those games are based on pure luck. Maybe you will get lucky one day, but the rest of the week will be bad that you will be on a losing streak.

But with sports betting, your chances to win are much higher that slot machine. And you can used your analysis on which team to bet, the handicap etc.

As per your experience, slot machine and roulette are not friendly for gambler, lol, because for sure the odds are against you and you will only win if you are lucky. And I know the feeling of being frustrated that after a big win, you will just lost it in a blink of an eye and then emotion sets in. So good move to sports betting and recovering your lost.

I do like both sports betting and casino games but do not gamble frequently. I do place some sports betting when there are big or interesting soccer matches and I play some casino games anytime I want. The most important thing, I do gamble for entertainment purpose only. If I win, I'll take it as a side bonus but if I lose I'll take it as a bill that I need to pay for the entertainment/fun I enjoy in the games.

There is an essential difference between the two: casino games have a negative mathematical expectation. The result in the long term is inexorable losses, and in the longer term more losses. In sports betting there is no such inexorability and, although it is difficult, there do seem to be people who make money in the long run. It's good news that you somehow recovered your loses. I seldom do online casinos as I'm not a fan of whatever games they offer but have heard some of my friends complaining that they lose much money doing so. In sprorts betting, though the chance of losing is still high but not that high compared to casino games especially if you are equipped with the knowledge of that certain kind of sports. In your case, I see your greediness become bigger when you win for some much money and you can not stop right away after that big wining.
So I can suggest you learn about controlling yourself because no matter what gambling games you played if you win a lot of money, you will still continue and chase the other winning which you can not always get it.
I have a similar experience as you but not winning a big money from gambling games but after learning about controlling myself, I can stop right away, even if I lose some money in gambling.

It might be said that I had a bad experience at sports betting, but on the one hand I couldn't leave sports betting. I think by now we have the answers already, and it's sports betting. There is nothing wrong playing Slots or Roulette because it is really fun and enjoyable. But at the end of the day, majority of us here wanted to win some good money and those games are not suited for that because it is a luck based game. I think you have missed the third category "texas holdem".

I like sport betting because I have a "kind of control" and after years and years of playing I am able to achieve a positive result.
If there is not a rigged match, live not pre-match, maybe a sport that I have experience, exchangebet or with cashout option I can achieve a win.
I play also with casino but it's just fun /pure luck. I don't have any real chance to beat the house, but I can enjoy some fun/entertainment.

Playing Casino depends on the type of game you are playing, I have played Black Baccarat game and it's not too risky if you can predict well the next slot that will have a card closer to nine. Player and Bank can never be a problem to decide which one to choose. And they is no way the bet will keep on falling on one side. If you stake five games of course two or three games will win in your favor. Why I go for Casino is because of how fast the game can become unlike sport games where you need to sit and watch other people play on behalf of your money. When you lose in Casino you blame yourself which is quite acceptable but on the other side When your team loss the game your blame goes to the players showing that you are not also in control of the game which you staked money on.

Some casino games have a higher RTP rate than others but they are still largely based on luck so I would rather pick sports betting which is more on bettor skills or analysis. It doesn't guarantee a win all the time but it's always good to know you have more control on the possible outcome of your bet.

It is totally different when you gamble against the house edge than gambling in the betting game in which the gambling casino only entrusted the fund.
It is usually 1% against the house edge which makes is purely based on luck, rather than betting on local which is typically you can apply other strategies. But all of them have a different purpose and for me, a gambling casino that is based on skills is the best than fighting against house edge which we know the more you will fight the more the chances will of draining money.

Go for the casino if you want to have fun but if you are serious about gambling I suggest sports betting as you can improve your skills there. This is my personal belief only, not saying that Casinos are bad because I think there are people who are also making money playing in a casino.

The point here is, the house edge will make gamblers lose if not now then it will be in the long run. 

Take note also that you cannot win in sports betting if you are not a sports enthusiast as you need to love the sports first before you can enjoy betting and be more successful.

Doesnt matter on what kind of gambling game you do engage or choose on, risk or chances of losing would be still there even though they do differ on level depending whether luck based or strategic based

Casino games isn't fixed, It's just the nature of gambling will give you more loss than giving you more winnings If you constantly playing non-stop until your last drop. In the Casino you'll lose or win $100 in just a minute, while in sports betting If you put a single $100 bet on a team, you'll probably going to lose or win for more or less than an hour.

In my opinion, sports betting requires experience and knowledge, while playing in a casino is more fun. It all depends on whether you approach gambling as a game where you fight to win, or if you treat it as a game where if you win it will be fun, and if you don't win it will be fun too, but less. As far as I can see, you take it very seriously and you only care about money, so it's very possible that when you gain more experience you will start winning good money on sports betting.

You are looking good on sports betting so continue with that. Casino games are pure of luck and no need for a strategy for it. It's not that you will stop playing at casino games but take it just a side gambling as you will focus now on sports betting.

I think there are certain games that are hard to beat in a casino, but there are certain games that can be beat if you know what to do. Know that every casino game has an inherent advantage over the casino or the house, this is known as the House Edge, and that is how the casino makes money in the long run.
So you have to be really careful in choosing games and avoid games that have a high house advantage percentage.

Even choosing casino games with lower house edge and high RTPs doesn't mean we are in a safe decision. There's no careful when it comes to casino games, as regardless, we are still dealing with their random algorithms to win.

Not any skill with casino and I prefer interested with sport betting and exactly football match is more easy to get winning, better not playing with multiple choose just take one match only because many match is not predicting accurate, I think with bigger team on primer league like Manchester City is easy to predict who is winner although giving little odds is not worry during can winning from sport betting. Have I tried both also and I can say that I was into sports betting than playing in casino. Yes, I do agree with you mate that everyone has their own choices and if you have already tried gambling in both then you can see to yourself which do you think you really fit in or where you think you will be more enjoyable. You experience, I've also had bad things about gambling betting, craps, Roullette, Slots, Crash, BlackJack, all those games, yes, like your experience, win and lose.

Not really. As long as you're a fan and you understand the sports that you're going to bet, I think you're good enough already to start. Most of us started with zero knowledge and experience on it and how you're going to gain experience if the requirement itself in the first place is experience.

That's true for almost any other game. Nobody loves to play a game which they always lose. If people can make more money from sports betting, they will like it more than dice for example. If they were making more on dice, then it would be the opposite.

I do a lot more sports betting than I do anything else. When I was younger I was all about card games and would do a lot of gambling simply with my college buddies. Most of us probably would choose sports betting over casino games. Agree with that, when I first started sports betting I was having a hard time understanding the odds, but eventually after a lot of research I was able to figure out and learn the terms in sports betting.
