Usually sports fans bet on their favorite team and watch the live broadcast somewhere in a bar with friends who are the same fans. They do it not so much to earn money as to entertain themselves and they bet among themselves without any service. So I don't think they'll choose to play cards.

That's why most of the sports bettors lose their money as bookmakers are very smart on attracting the fans to bet on the favorites. Based on the analysis I read, favorites usually lose the game if based on spread, so we should be smart enough to evaluate if the odds are fair or just a trap.

Betting on the favorites all the time is blindly betting.

Betting on sports allows the bettor to use a wider analysis than any gambling games, so the probability to earn by such activity is higher than by gambling.

That's true for almost any other game. Nobody loves to play a game which they always lose. If people can make more money from sports betting, they will like it more than dice for example. If they were making more on dice, then it would be the opposite.

I agree that some people love sports because it lets you to do research on certain stuff about the teams. That's not possible for the luck based games. Maybe it is this research process which makes sports betting more appealing...

I do a lot more sports betting than I do anything else. When I was younger I was all about card games and would do a lot of gambling simply with my college buddies. We would play Texas hold ‘em for hours on end for money. As I’ve gotten older I prefer sports gambling. I gamble both online and in person (casinos) as for sports. I still like to gamble card games and will do a little bit of that online , but mostly just do that in in-person casinos like you’ll find in Vegas.

Roulette was my favourite casino table. One day I won 7k usd on roulette table. But I couldn't retain it. I lost all the usd in 10 minutes and day by day my lossing amount increased. Sometimes casino table was so tough. Whatever I bet all lost. No sequence maintained. If I won a day, I would loss 5 days at a stretch. It seemed all was fixed. I shifted to sports betting. I started to follow biggest football league like English premier League, la Liga, french Liga etc. Researched the teams statistics and placed bet. Gradually I covering my losses. What's your experience?

There is a slight difference between betting on matches and playing gambling games. In betting you have the option to select the team based upon the past performances and hence you have a better chance to predict the correct winner. In games like dice or roulette, there is no past history, no patterns and it is entirely based upon luck. If your luck is not good, you will lose most of the time.

Sometimes, I watch this in a cafe around my city and those sports fan comes to that place while the other sports fan will also come. Sometimes, they do online bets because I hear them say about one site or even by challenging the other friends and giving the money to the neutral person who does not support any teams. Yes, I see that is because of having fun and not chasing the win. If they lose, they will accept it and not feel sad because they enjoy watching the game with their friends.

Lucky you. I haven't been to a land based casino for several years due to the fact that they were banned in my country and the opportunity to either go to a specially designated gambling areas where it takes a few hours to get there or play online. Naturally, a person who plays not that often will not go there, so the bulk of gamblers playing online sites.

Even though I like all that flashy things in slots, animation of betting, sounds, UI, ease of learning (just hit 1 button and that is it), sports betting in my experience brought me more money (or, while playing slots, I often lose than win). With spare money, I prefer to bet on football results. While during playing slots, I will get more positive emotions (with betting, you make a bet and wait). Cant explain why, but more boring activity I like more than more entertaining activity.

Exactly, even though sports betting is a skilled based game, it does not guarantee that a gambler who knows the sport very much will be profitable. I enjoy casino games more because you have no analysis and you just dig what you feel and let chance be your guide, compared to sports betting you need to study players and teams and buy paid signals, you are not lucky all the time in sports betting, it needs time to develop and to get acquainted with teams and players, maybe one day I will dig deep in sports betting when I become serious to make money on sports betting, although it still depends on luck.

I find sports betting much better than casino games, in terms of wins and losses they're slightly the same as it's difficult to maintain a consistent record but with sports betting there's no timer you can just skip matches whenever you like it unlike with casino games where you're expected to lose the longer you play. Also, one of the reasons why I find sports betting much interesting is because of the competition like watching underdogs slowly improve their performance or a mediocre team suddenly pulling a deep run in the playoffs.

I think that people treat the two interchangeably, but as I stated they are definitely not the same value proposition.

Sportsbetting can be very profitable in the long run if done right, which is why bookies generally will ban any long-term profitable accounts because they know that they can have an edge. Whereas with a casino you will always face that negative EV no matter how hard you try to get a strategy going.

It does have different market thats why it would really be ending up on different approach because we know that casinos are luck based games and sports betting is for strategic
which means that you would really be having options on which one you would tend to engage on and tend to stay up on what you do prefer the most.
Since we do have these options then its serving out different types of gamblers.Why would need to choose if you could deal both things

Doing gambling as a source of income is not applicable to anyone. Professional gamblers do have lots of resources on risks that's why they are able to keep gambling as their main source of income. It's not easy to rely on gambling, as aside from skill and talent, you should have a big money for that to cover your activity.

Average gamblers with just a fair amount of money to risk on gambling should not think of that. Just choose what gambling type they are comfortable with but to make the best out of it, sports betting is a must do gambling instead of casinos.

That is what we must do with gambling so we do not stress or try hard to chase the winning. But some people tend to try winning on many gambling games and use gambling as a source of income but they do not see how big their chance to win is.

We will get gambling addiction if we forget to control ourselves in gambling and not stop playing after we have lost. So no matter if that is sports betting or in casinos, you must treat gambling as a way to have fun, not play too seriously, and always have control for yourself. Otherwise, you will end up losing your money.

They're more fun because there can be the reason about the sounds of those games and they're really attractive. In sports betting, they're also fun because you have to watch out the game if you want where your money is going and if you bet for the right thing.

Losing $7k in minutes is crazy and even you're that rich, you'll still think of it as such amount of money. I wouldn't lose that amount within minutes and if I do, I'll make sure that I have fun that I will never forget.

Every gamble have each skill better not all gambler understood with casino and better playing with sport betting, almost gambler have hobbies with sport like football, tennis, cricket, NBA and american football. They can easy understand with sport gambling like choose which one favorite to win in some match and they know more about team condition before put on sport gambling. My hobbies is watching football and have more knowledge with football from team squad, position standing on fixture and I can understand about which one player injury and get yellow card.

I think even the bet didn't win as long as the match is close and the game is intense for that sports that you've watched, that lose is just totally fine as long as you get to enjoy the game.

That's what I enjoy in sportsbetting. Even if I lose, as long as the match is too close and you know that the team you bet for did their best, that's like nothing to me and I just have to bet better next time.
