Sweet!!  Always happy to see more options for BTC --> USD!  :D

EDIT:  What if we want to use said cards in the "real world"?  Like, I want to use it for grocery shopping... any way to get a physical card?

Yes,
This feature will be supplied for a nominal mailing fee(U.S. $1).  If you would like that please notify us in your e-mail and we can do it.  This will all be automated in the future and most of the code is already done we just want to test it more.

We announced early as the current situation regarding coinpal requires another option to cashout to keep the community lively and liquid.

So it says quote is good for 10 minutes I'm guessing as long as you see transaction processing it will be ok right?  I doubt it would get confirmed in 10 minutes.

As soon as Bitcoins are sent we hold that price(0 confirmations).  We wait for 10 confirmations before sending card information.

Out of curiousity, where do the prepaid cards come from?

Out of curiousity, where do the prepaid cards come from?

The cards come from the United States.  We use a variety of provider banks for our prepaid cards depending upon cost.

I see no cards listed above $100. Do you offer such cards at all? If that means you're out of stock, might I suggest making it clear that they are out of stock?

Also, reloadable cards would be quite convenient, but in the US these are subject to the Unpatriotic Act like any bank account.

Custom cards up to $750 can be purchased but they require 48 hours to process.  Our rate table is on the site.

We offer custom card amounts up to $750.  If we repeatedly get requests for a certain tier amount we will add additional cards as standard above $100.  We are also looking into providing an assortment of store gift cards after some time.

Re-loadable cards may come sooner then later depending upon numerous factors. We are currently entertaining a few options on how to properly proceed.

Excellent.  With the death of Coincard/Coinpal, it's great to see another alternative to Bitcoin2CC for cashing out coins relatively easily.

Non-custom cards are processed as they are received.  If we run out of stock we will notify you and give you the option to wait 24 hours.  Current inventory is available on the site.

Ooh, I like this. You might be having another client in a near future. :D

Question, any plans to expand to other kinds of prepaid cards? Been looking to exchange Bitcoin for, say, Ultimate Game Card, or PayByCash, but haven't seen too many offers for that so far.

Found this site before its release thru Google and tried using it.

I didn't know it was borked until I had already spent 36.1 bitcoin there.

Just noticed the website was updated so I sent in an email and they helped find the transaction and got me my product =)

Very happy I didn't have to take those bitcoins as a loss.

Nope, I sent the email and got this the cost at the moment which was 10.37 BTC and the payment address, which I sent like less than 1 min after I got the email. The email did say the $50 Card was available at the moment.

If there's interest in Dwolla we will offer that service.  Also, our cards pass AVS checks through paypal and can be added to paypal.  We will also offer certified bank checks if people are interested.

I just wanted to thank you for a successful purchase.  It was my first exchange from BTC to USD and it went smoothly.

BP - I would suggest/request that you please include the telephone number from the back of the CC in future emails.  The merchant I was purchasing from wanted this information.  I was able to find it on the CC website from the link in your email, but it would be handy to be directly available.

Thanks for the great service.

Yes, this should work.  Keep in mind paypal authorizes $1 on a card when you add it to make sure the card is legitimate.  This will temporarily decrease the card balance until it is cleared.

We also plan on supporting Dwolla.  We are working on the details of the best way to handle those transactions.

Yes, you can just forget about the card information and be done with it.  Unfortunately we run out of stock faster than we would like as the demand for our cards backed by our customer service makes people want them more and keep coming back.  We add cards daily between 6PM-8PM.

I hopefully just grabbed one of your last $50 cards, but I'm a bit confused on how this works.  I directly sent the Bitcoins and then hit the "I have sent payment" or whatever button... so how on earth do you make the connection between my email address/order and the completely random payment of Bitcoins to your address?

After supplying your e-mail address on the site we have custom code that we wrote that tracks orders, inventory and payments.  We then get notified to dispatch your card and we send the card out to you.

Cool.  As long as it works, I don't care how you do it.  :P

One more question though - you mentioned to someone earlier that as long as his payment was in by 11 something PM, it'd go through, even though the advertised times are 9am-5pm. Does this mean my transaction from about an hour ago will have a card sent out tonight (after 10 confirmations) or do I have to wait until 9am tomorrow for the email?

Thanks for running this service.  I had almost given up hope after Coincard was shot down.

From what the banks that we deal with state they should work in all but OFAC Listed nations.  We have no way to confirm this and thus can't guarantee or provide support to those outside the U.S. until we can confirm.

Has this also slowed email responses?  I emailed about 24hrs asking if you'd mail a card to Canada for an increased fee with no response.  If you're busy with site overhauls, I quite understand. :)

Site overhauls have brought our response time to approximately 16 hours instead of the usually 4-6 hours.

From what the banks that we deal with state they should work in all but OFAC Listed nations.  We have no way to confirm this and thus can't guarantee or provide support to those outside the U.S. until we can confirm.

Just to check here, does your FAQ state the cards don't work outside of the US because you can't confirm 100% otherwise?  Or have you confirmed that they don't work outside of the US?  I can understand you saying they don't work outside of the US as you havn't confirmed, because they can't get blamed if someone tries the card in another country and it doesn't go anyway.

I say that because I figure a US gift credit card should work anywhere where a US credit card would.  I'm in Canada, and I'm presuming that I can use a gift card anywhere in Canada where a normal credit card would be accepted.

They should work wherever U.S. cards would normally work according to our bank as long as it is not an OFAC Listed nation (http://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/sanctions/Programs/Pages/Programs.aspx).  Unfortunately we can not confirm this as we are U.S. based.  If we receive reports of working/not working countries we will include this in our FAQ.

And speaking of this... is there an option on the new site to request a physical card?  I don't see anything, but it may be in the order screen.

This is an MtGox problem.  We are waiting for their response with a solution/bug fix.  In the interim you can load funds on your MtGox account and send in payment directly from the account.   If they do not fix the issues by this weekend we will be moving away from MtGox merchant services and providing our own.

Hey, I made an arrangement via email with you to get a $100 card and have it sent by email.  You responded with a quote and told me to make payment within 10mins, I managed it within 5.  That was almost 20hrs ago and you havn't responded since.  I gave you my bitcoins and you havn't responded with the Visa number, confirmation that you got my mailing address, or confirmation that you got my bitcoins.

I understand that my request went through a bit more of a 'manual' process than your other stuff so there could be a slow down and I'm hoping that's all this is, but I am starting to worry abit.

A public forum is not the place to handle inquiries on an individual order. Doing this delays our ability to assist you as it requires us to make multiple responses.  We must answer the forum post, answer your e-mails and answer inquiries related to your forum post.  After we are done doing these items we can then work on your particular issue.

Our business hours are between 9am-5pm 7 days a week.  We sometimes answer outside these hours if we are working early/late but, this can not be guaranteed.  The website states that 24-48 hours are needed for a reply.  We usually answer in under 16 hours.

Please contact us at the appropriate address listed on the website, in this thread, and the address that we have responded to your previous e-mails by(contact@bitcoincashout.com).  We also have a contact us form on the website which you could type your inquiries into.  This form also allows for encrypted communication.

We will answer the status of your order here. We assume that to be correct since this is where your contact was first noticed.  This will also allow other customers to see how the situation is being handled.

Mon, May 16, 2011 at 8:52 PM
(Outside Business Hours)
You contacted us stating you wanted more information about our products and find *Some site operator* (name not mentioned but you are welcome to disclose) unreliable.  You also requested a quote for shipping to Canada.

Wed, May 18, 2011 at 7:54 AM
We responded to your inquiry. Stating shipping would cost $1 to Canada plus an additional $1 if you wanted tracking.

Wed, May 18, 2011 at 11:19 AM
You asked us if we could reserve you a card outside of our automated system because we frequently sell out.

Wed, May 18, 2011 at 4:25 PM
We responded that we would reserve you a card after we were contacted and payment made.

Thu, May 19, 2011 at 10:12 AM
We were asked to reserve a card for Friday evening.  You were concerned about declining Bitcoin prices and asked if there was a way to prevent that fluctuation from affecting your purchasing ability.

Thu, May 19, 2011 at 2:07 PM
You stated that you were ready to purchase a card now.

Thu, May 19, 2011 at 2:27 PM
We quoted you a price with shipping and Notified you the card will not ship until Monday.

Thu, May 19, 2011 at 2:33 PM
You responded with your shipping address and stated payment was sent.  You also asked us to supply card information before the card was mailed.

Thu, May 19, 2011 at 9:55 PM
Your last e-mail stating "Uhm, it's been like 7hrs... Can I at least get confirmation that funds
were recieved?"

Thu, May 20, 2011 at 11:30 AM
We confirm that your funds have been received and will mail the card out Monday as agreed.  We will also email you the card information before shipping as requested.

If you are unhappy with the way we are handling the situation please contact us and we will cancel your order and issue a prompt refund.  We also request that you use our automated system in the future.  This will allow you to get your card instantly.

Uhm, no, I'm good.  I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be a bother and I wasn't trying to accuse you of anything.  I was just expecting a response on the payment being recieved a bit faster, but it's all good.

Sorry for the trouble and I would like to continue with this transaction.  I'm probably just getting a bit anxious about this, it's my fault. :)

No bother at all we enjoy contact with our customers as it makes it more fulfilling knowing we are speaking and having a business relationship with a real person.  Our policy is to answer public inquiries with a public answer otherwise it makes us look unresponsive. This protects our reputation and allows others to see how we handle orders. We usually do not confirm payment receipt unless requested as we feel it is not needed as we use a unique address per transaction.

There is currently a bug in MtGox Merchant Services. We have attempted to contact them and still have not received a response. We are sorry for those who it inconveniences. We will be moving away from MtGox Merchant Services in the coming weeks. In the interim if you are getting errors on the checkout page you may do the following:
1) Load Bitcoins on MtGox before ordering and send it directly to our MtGox account on the checkout page
2) When you finish checkout send us an e-mail with your transaction number and we will respond with a payment address(9am-5pm EST).

We Apologize for the inconvenience.

No it is not.  But, not doing so may not allow you to use the card at some online merchants that do AVS checks(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Address_Verification_System).  When the cards are registered they pass all AVS checks.

I was thinking it was something like that.  I intend to use my card mostly in real world locations, thanks. :)

On that note, I find it sorta ironic that my American Visa Gift Card is issued by the Toronto Dominion bank, which is from Canada. :)

We have a Canadian customer who will be leaving feedback regarding if these work in Canada.  They should, as the bank that is issuing them to us is a Canadian based bank.  We were also told by the bank that they should work in any country not on the OFAC list. Unfortunately, we can not confirm or deny this situation until we receive feedback from customers in their respective countries.

Hello error,
We agree the price is a bit steep as well. Unfortunately cost is significant on our end with the re-loadable cards.  We try to be highly competitive in pricing. This can be seen from our prepaid card selection being the lowest currently available in the marketplace.

Negotiations are currently taking place with a few banks which, if successful, will allow us to also offer re-loadable cards which may be used internationally.

We strive for the best prices available and excellent customer service.

Thank your for your interest in our product,

Well, the load price wouldn't be as bad if it weren't for the very low $250/day limit. At those prices it's better to stick with the nonreloadable cards.

For those interested, I can happily report that the $100 TD Bank Visa gift card I got from BitcoinCashout does infact work at Canadian brick and morter locations, I tested it today with no issues.  This is really of no suprise to me however, since it works like any other US visa would at a retailer and Canadian retailers happily accept American credit cards.  You'd hear a lot of complaints by American travelers and tourists if their credit cards didn't work in Canada afterall. :)

Also,  it's a little fishy you would post a WEEK later when our site clearly states that if you order outside of business hours you will get it in the morning processing.  Additionally most payments are processed within 1-2 hours during business hours and ALL orders are processed on the day they are received during business hours.

**UPDATE**: July 15,2011

This user has still not contacted us.  We can only assume this was an attempt to spread ill will towards us.  We do not know what this person's agenda is.  We will remove this notice when the user rescinds his negative, baseless, libelous feedback.  Based upon this situation at this current time we can not recommend doing business with this individual named comboy.

I've sent bitcoins week ago. Checking order status gives blank page. Also haven't got any response to my e-mail.

I'm glad it's the latter.

Actually yes, I've never sent you an e-mail, I was using contact form on your website (I'm a bit disappointed if you never received what I typed in there). So how can I check my order status? When entering order number and pressing submit I only see a blank page.

If this is the truth you must send us an e-mail as the transaction number can be used to access your card information and the forums is not the place to handle individual orders for this reason.  Please email us with as much information as possible.  Time of purchase, transaction number, and if available my bitcoin number.  The address you send payment to would be helpful as well.

Definitely not a scam.  I'll vouch for them all day long.  I've done at least five transactions now and have had three cards shipped to me without issue.  Customer service has never taken more than two days to respond, and typically responds to problems in a few hours.  No scams here.

If I receive money via Western Union, am I required to report that for taxes as income?  If I am, is there an amount (and below) that you don't have to report it?  If that's the case, is it a one-time transfer, or is it an amount over the course of a year?

so what's an example of non-taxable income?   Buying one of these cards for instance?  How does Western Union (or the IRS) not know that I maybe lent my buddy some money and he's paying me back?

you are asking A LOT... income tax is such a complex thing in the US. Try doing your own damn research, but a quick google brought up this.

purchase completed after email assistance. will be back in the future.

Thank you.  We apologize for even requiring e-mail assistance as we strive to be the easiest, most user friendly, cash out option for Bitcoin.  Unfortunately it seems that the shopping cart interfaces available publicly are not as stable as we would like.  We are now working on our own SCI implementation.

Thank you again!

As some of you might have noticed due to no inventory being available.  We will be temporarily suspending service as we move to a custom payment system.  Unfortunately use of community available payment processors(Mybitcoin,MtGox) is causing service disruptions and have been deemed unreliable.  This transition should be completed by Monday, June 27,2011.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.  With the relaunch in addition to credit cards we will be offering a new product!  Silver Coins!

If you need a card urgently we may be able to assist you by contacting our email at contact@bitcoincashout.com.  Please include the card denomination ($25,$50,$100) and we will respond with a quote.

I am a managing member of Bitcoin Solutions LLC.

Thank you both for taking the time to post your feedback here.

In clarification to the mention of a fee on our cards.  We regularly check the terms of service on our cards and there is no regular monthly fees charged for the card you were issued.  The only fee mentioned is one for inactivity and that would not start to be charged unless the card was inactive for a period greater than 12 months.  If you see something to the contrary please PM me so that I may look deeper into this issue.

Note: We use several different sources for our cards, and each has its own terms of service, so please do check them if you have purchased a card you are not familiar with.   The terms of service are easily found at the issuing card company's' sites.  Web addresses are conveniently provided with the card information.

Some users have had success using the card in other countries besides the US and EU.  Cards should work everywhere Visa is accepted as long as it is not an OFAC listed nation.

I need some help!

I ordered a $50 gift card, and the site tells me my CC# has 13 digits instead of the regular 12.  That may be correct, but I cannot log in to the URL listed to register my card!

I put in the card number exactly as displayed and password with the 3 digit security code and the bank site keeps saying invalid information!

I tried emailing support using the contact page on bitcoincashout.com but haven't received a reply for a couple days.  Please help.. I can give my order number and CC#.  I need to use the CC soon!  Please get back to me asap.

For international users, how are you registering the card when only US addresses allowed, or are you just using services that don't require cardholder information?

The card I got (TD Bank), they were happy with just my name + e-mail for the registration. This was sufficient to add the card to Paypal
