Just jumped over to that thread to check it out.... Maybe the use of colours is similar, I dont know, but I can say for sure we have NO AFFILIATION WITH XBM.
Understandably people in that thread are a little apprehensive, (and the community in general) hence why I am willing to go for PoD.

escrow cannot provide any help , just think a little about XBM . XBM dev run away when he got all BTC . he is so active when ICO processing. What a fuck joke it is !

So max number of coins is 9,500,000 and there is no PoW phase, is that right? Well price per coin is certainly tempting. It'd be great if you could explain in details how the buy support system would work and for how long. Would the ICO BTC be locked during that time? What happens afterwards?

Ok, The coin will not launched until Proof Of Developer is completed. I understand the community's apprehension towards new coins these days.

-The ICO will run BEFORE the coin is put to market
-The ICO will last for 7 days or until when the coins are sold, whichever comes first
-The buy support will be put in place by the Escrow/Exchange handling the ICO when the ICO is complete. This will be 25% of the BTC raised.
-The support will immediately be placed at ICO price of 0.00000550 (If first round doesnt sell out) and 0.00000600 (if first round has sold out)
-The support will remain there for 5-7 days initially then re-assessed at the time to what price it should be put at (If the escrow is still willing or it will be done by us)
-All txids will be transparent

I have just submitted documents to a complete stranger on the internet to prove my identity. If I was the bitmo Dev I would have some mighty big balls doing this after what happened over there.

No worries :) It would provide continual development for the coin.
First and foremost, I want to implement a multipool that pays in vex. I have been already been talking with a host that has the scripts and API's necessary for the pool.
This does cost money, ongoing money and not only a once off payment. I don't want to charge a high fee for the pool, if any.

Second, I want the buy support to be ongoing. This will have to be judged at the time, of how much and when. As we all know a couple of whales could possibly dominate any market and take advantage of this. Timing is key to keep the coin moving forward and not dumped into the ground.

Third, it will allow for additional features to be added to the coin, Blockchain marketplace, etc. Although this will be in the future, but it will give us the flexibility to adapt to any features the community is asking for.

Forth, as stated in the OP we are not marketers. Funds will be used to hire outside contractors to market the coin. Initially this will be done out of our pocket but more funds will mean more reach, with the community benefiting the most.

EDIT: Ultimately the goal for this coin is for it to be a coin where the community can be proud to be a part of. Where if the commmuntiy wants a feature. It can be implemented. If the community does not want a feature it can be removed. Because without a community coins are worth nothing.
I understand building this community, especially in times like this is tough. But I will persist and show it can be done. We have not got off to a good start, I know, with the accusations flying around. But the ball is in Vex's court and it will be shown who is genuine and who is not when the dust has settled.

We can build on features of the coin day by day and week by week. So the coin can hold up to its statement as a coin for traders and investors

If C-CEX is hacked (or 'hacked'), will the attacker have enough PoS voting power to control your coin? If so, will you rollback the blockchain and take peoples' coins away to protect your investors' interests?

If C-Cex is hacked whilst the ICO period is on then the funds can still be used to buy back the coins. But if it is after the ICO period then that would be on C-Cex and their procedures with dealing with 'hacks'
The BTC foundation was not expected to pay back the BTC stolen by Mt Gox.
In regards to rolling back the blockchain, it would entirely depend on the situation. I would try to avoid it because we would be taking away from genuine investors, effectively nullifying their investment.

Hard question to answer piccolo :)
Until its sold out which I'm hoping will never happen. The support is there for just that, to support the coin from launch. Kind of a sticky situation revealing how long it will stay at a price because people could use it to their advantage and just dump into it.

But to answer your question directly it will stay in the market forever. Myself or C-Cex won't be taking it out, but it will over time move prices to keep the coin tradable with liquidity. Once interest picks up it won't be needed anyways and will be dissolved into the market :)

Were aiming to have a strong stable currency that people know will have liquidity to trade with. Features will be rolled out over time to increase the value and generate more and more interest.
Short term: successful, honest, genuine launch.
Near short term: multipool that pays in Vex which will hopefully be ready by the time the ICO closes.
Long term: Stable liquidity with features rolled into the block chain (marketplace etc)

Im here to develop a stable currency that  can be traded for a long period of time with enough liquidity to keep people interested.
A few things we are working on and a roadmap of sorts:

-Update wallets to have blockchain and chat integrated (ready before release)
-Implement multipool
-Android and IoS wallets
-Reach to other exchanges to further create liquidity
-In wallet exchange of VEX
-Setup a separate payment system for buying VEX directly from the wallet from USD
-And eventually merchant adoption through in house Pre-Paid VISA/MAstercard

This list will be updated continually with feature that the community decides. Look without a community coins dont last long, hence why I have done the CoinSource verification, I want to build trust within the community and gain the respect and integrity of people investing.

If you look at previous coins like CRYST , the dev just hosted the IPO. Since no developement was there in the first week, the prices went 1/5th of the IPO price.  So POS or NO POS hardly matters. A Certified developer doesn't help much either. Right now the Buy is only for 4-5 BTC which could very well be mostly out of the pockets of the dev(as ultimately the money goes back to him). I also see no real development plan. Community development doesn't help as most of them are already out.

I am not sure how things are in Australia but please proof read your comments before you post. The things you have posted till now can be done in less than 2 BTC. Its just that too many coins post ICO's and they end up no where, even post no development.

Doing it this way keeps as much security for the early investor as possible. There is no premine to be dropped into the market at any time. All coins are held by people who see a future for the coin.

For example, I'm currently looking at what it would take to  implement a chart into the wallet with Technical Analysis indicators. If I can't do this in time it will have to be contracted out and this won't be free.

Bittrex does not simply add coins if you contact them. They charge a 3 BTC fee to add coins. They do add coins if there is massive support, and I don't see any for this coin .

That is if they pay that 3 BTC to list it up there. As far as I can see they already owe 2 BTC to C-Cex for listing the coin for an ICO. Out of that they invested themselves to get around 3-4 BTC worth of coins(speculation by me). After ICO in hand they get around 2.5-3 BTC . DO you really think they would even consider paying the bittrex fee and getting it listed?
If VEX dev can confirm that he would(By escrowing the coins) , then it might be a different story. But as far as I can see....

I would be sincerely disappointed if the developer does not do everything in their power to get on other exchanges, and bittrex being the main at this point and venture.

Where do you conclude that it is a scam? Go to the service and see that even the coins with a lower level of trust had good success. Here coin only at a stage of the ISO and already have such a high level of confidence. I consider it as an objective measure of the interest of developers and their serious intentions.

Hello everyone,

The coins moving is me, there was an issue after withdrawing the unsold coins that I have never encountered before and despite my efforts working with the Vexcoin dev until late last night they have not been fully resolved.
My normal procedure for coin destruction is to withdraw the coins to a wallet under my direct control, then send the coins to a similar address on a different coins blockchain thus destroying them as there is no private key after the send. Everything was going fine until the last few deposits (I have to withdraw from C-CEX in chunks ~700k or less) basically transactions became conflicted and some didn't reach my wallet at all.

We tried the easy methods of deleting the blockchain then redownloading and still these coins remained stuck and conflicted. Here is a snippet of my conversation with the dev last night:

[12:59:15 PM] Pride C-CEX: ok I give up, i'm torching this wallet later as long as the supply is gone then no big deal.

So then we tried using "-rescan" to make the coins send/confirm and this didn't work. We then tried the method "-zapwallettxes" and this did not have any effect either. So then I tried send and receiving coins to move them all over as I am completely out of ideas on why this occurred and what could resolve it. None of these worked either. I think the best thing at this stage is to just destroy the wallet.dat/private key and they will be destroyed but always remain on blockchain.

These coins will be gone from circulation, the devs post and coin count in circulation is accurate so in essence though this anomaly happened nothing changed from the original end of ICO other than providing people with ammo for fud/worry.


tl;dr

Coins became conflicted during coins transfer to a local wallet for destruction, due to this happening the coins will be destroyed by deleting the wallet.dat that contains them thus removing them from circulation.

Apologies for the late reply, as you know I'm in Australia so the time zones make it difficult.

As you can see Pride and I have been working hard to resolve the conflicted transactions when he was moving the unsold coins.

This was, possibly from Pride double spending the unconfirmed transaction when moving the coins

Easy fixes didn't work, the other way to repair the transaction was to install a version of pywallet and manually delete the transaction there.
We opted against this as Pride does not have the time to be doing this. Instead Pride opted to plain and simple, delete the .dat file. Hence why the rich list still shows these addresses.
This way was not what I wanted but is the best we can do in this situation.

Click the lock button and put in your password
Then check allow downloads from anywhere

Close windows and try again

What OSX version are you using?

I'm on 10.9.5 and the wallet is working fine for me.

A couple of notes:

• There is an issue with many Qt wallets on Mac
• When opening the wallet for the 1st time it crashes
• Don't let this worry you - the wallet is simply looking for a file it has not written yet
• Close the wallet, force it if you need to with cmd-option-escape
• Restart the wallet - do NOT trash it & reinstall
• Wallet will begin seeking connections and will synchronize in due course
• This occurs with many Qt wallets under Mac on 1st start (not great programming by Mac wallet porters but it works)

Let us know if this works for you or whether there is an issue that needs to be addressed. Oh, and always specify what OS version you are trying to use.

 Anyways I was wondering if dev can do something to have C-Cex update the supply to the correct number on the trading info page. It's still showing Sup: 9508768. I know Pride addressed the situation about destroying the coins earlier in the thread but it would be great if we could at least get the correct coin supply posted on the exchange for those who don't read through the thread entirely. I tried to get C-Cex nonexistent support to address this issue but have had no success. Maybe if the dev were to say so it would expedite the action.

A lot of the coins have out of date details on c-cex, it's just getting silly over there now

Ya, I hear ya. Not a fan of the site myself but unfortunately this is the spot to trade VEX for now.  Really the coin's not going to take off until it hits another exchange anyways,  but it just irks me that they can't even update that and properly dispose of the coins.  Please don't take this as FUD, but it really doesn't look good to still have the supposed to be destroyed coins still in existence and the exchange tasked with doing so dragging their feet on it.

Payouts are usually processed at least once a day, I have a miner or 2 on there and have been receiving payouts.
I know a few days ago that someone was mining to the example address given on the how to page. Possibly check your address?

I am simply giving investors here an update on the progress of our coin, if some people choose to sell when a Dev is being honest then so be it. We have no control over that.

The Web Wallet is based on the open source CoinPunk bitcoin wallet and being ported for vex. This is not such a straight forward task, progress is being made though and I will keep the thread updated with developments.

If VEX stays at number one in C-Cex for enough long time i think bittrex might pick it up soon. Could be that the dumps were actually good in that sense if trex picks it up ;)
