Title: SATIVACOIN = SCAM
Post by: demoniality on September 23, 2014, 12:56:47 AM
Heads up to all.

In short, mining began 30mins before the ann thread. The ann thread is surprise surprise self moderated and i have had maybe 40 posts deleted from it, others i'm sure just as many. Ask yourself, what innocent person cannot confidently answer a scam accusation and instead decides to censor everyone even with minor issues?

To cap it all off the comments are now locked because the OP got deluged with people trying to comment warning others.

Those with comments on the coin feel free to input.

Sativacoin dev feel free to try and defend yourself, i think in an unmoderated environment you are going to have a hard time.

There you are, respond to the following accusations/questions that you repeatedly deleted before:

1. Mining started 30mins before announcement, why?
2. Why did you delete so many hundreds of posts asking the above question?
3. Why did you self moderate the thread if you have nothing to hide?
4. Why have you mad a new username; tell us your real name, or real bct account name?

Anybody that deletes the slightest criticism is giving off red flags. Someone that cannot rebuttal scam accusations and instead deletes them is really leaving no doubt.

Why do you think this somehow discredits me? Is it a tactic to divert attention away from yourself? I am not letting you get away with another scam, that is why there are people trying to work out your real identity right now.

Isn't this the tuquoque logical fallacy by trying to turn this on me instead of answering the accusations?

Hi what's the problem here you talk about 9 blocks of instamine wtf man look at ltcd they mined 2500 blocks in 25 min and look there is no problem at all , so which coin is scam ?

"oh it was only a small instamine, not as bad as xxx, so that's ok". Come on now seriously, you must be that only guy that was allowed to post because you were defending him in that thread ie you are mining the coin to and have a vested interest in its survival.

Be honest with yourself, the instamine, regardless of size combined with a new account, zero roadmap and a self moderated thread in which every single solitary non complimentary post is deleted spells it out for you. What rational, thinking person cannot see this coin for what it is?

The only one? Sativacoin put the cone of silence on at least 3 other people including me. Probably more, that delete key was being spammed by sativacoin.

only deleted 3 comments he said, all the whilst my deleted comment message in my watchlist is over two pages long.

edit: his thread is back open

edit: locked again.

Why wouldn't the dev just answer the accusations? I mean it's literally embarrassing, he can't even make up fake answers.

The term SCAM is used so loosely now it basically means nothing.

How is it a scam exactly?  There was an original thread posted, then deleted and changed.  The wallet was downloaded by a few people from the first ANN thread and they started mining.

New thread was posted and everyone got on board, so 9 blocks instamined. Still not even 10K coins.

Deleted posts?  hundreds?  exxagerate much?   I would delete the crap you are writing also.

The question has been answered, find something new to bitch about.

If you want to see something that was instamined go look at DRK or LTCD.

The fact that your only reason  for calling this a scam is the 9 blocks just shows your ignorance.

To top it off, you are claiming he is behind other "scams" as you put it, but offer no proof of any kind.

Have you tried chatting with him in irc?

People really need to stop calling everything a scam so quickly, its like the boy who cried wolf.

There is no IPO, no Premine, no real instamine.  So tell me where is the scam exactly?

Who is getting scammed, please explain exactly how it is a scam.  Fully explain it and show who is getting scammed.

p.s. - This isnt just to defend this dev, this is a post in general about all the useless crap that is posted here.  It's sad that these forums are the first thing so many people will find when they get into crypto.  The childish behavior around here is just appaling, its like a bunch of little kids with ADD fighting just to get attention and raise thier post count.

where do you see any similarity

Was that a question?
Well, maybe it is different because this is a scam coin.

With strong plans this coin could be a winner.

This coin has no plans. The dev is answering every ones questions except this one. He is just trying to steal the success of cannabiscoin.

A lot of half truths here and you have the audacity to call me ignorant:

1. Saying the 'thread was deleted' does not give an explanation as to why other than to deceive people
2. An instamine is an instamine so on one hand you admit it was done and yet on the other let it off because it is small?
3. I suggest he is behind other scams because he will not tell us his real bct name, his name or anything to distinguish him from a brand new account.
4. I have tried engaging him and he does not ever, like here for example (really you needed to ask?), answer the questions. He AVOIDS them, he DELETES them.
5. This is the third time i have made a thread regarding scamming, the other two times of undeniable nature.
6. Yes there is a premine, you just admitted it, a small one does not mean it did not happen.

You really need to apply some logic to your answers because all you have done is twist the truth for no other LOGICAL reason other than the fact you must be mining this coin also.

sure right, so why does he need to delete every post in the thread that is not positive? Why can he still not tell me who he is, why he deleted the original thread and why he sensored legitimiate, reasonable questions? The answer is obvious if you just use an ounce of common sense and have been here long enough to know how this goes.

How about anyone else stops trying to defend the accusations based on assumptions and let the dev write it for himself. I don't think he can formulate any kind of coherent answer by himself. I'm waiting.

Sativacoin dev feel free to try and defend yourself, i think in an unmoderated environment you are going to have a hard time.

I added SativaCoin to my pool after launch, and had it compiled by block 93 with the first block found at block 110. Your posts on the thread came across as 100% FUD, and everyone in the IRC channel was talking about it and agreed that they should be deleted, so it is unsurprising that the dev deleted them. But regardless of any of that, I've reviewed the details of the blockchain (blocks and timestamps), versus the threads posting times.

The executive summary is that yes, 9 blocks were mined in a total of 35 seconds, 30 minutes prior to the current launch thread being posted. Does this actually matter to anyone in the grand scheme of a coin with 7200 blocks and no premine? It sure doesn't matter to me, at all.

There was a thread posted at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=791197 on Sept 21, 11:19:26 AM EDT but the details have been removed. I didn't see that thread posted originally so I can't comment on its contents. The current thread was posted at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=791266 on Sept 21, 12:40:08 PM EDT.

The genesis block was mined at 09:28:33 AM EDT on September 21. The first 9 blocks were mined from 12:09:57 PM EDT through 12:10:32 EDT -- so they were mined in less than 35 seconds and were most likely mined with a single GPU.

Am i expected to take the input from someone who is profiting from the coin being mined, to be unbias? I think not. My only interest is in the community and i know what i am seeing here. So again, let's let the dev defend the accusations for himself and perhaps introduce himself by his real name or on his real bct account?

I'm waiting..

I'm tired of seeing posts like this, what's you EVIDENCE to claim this coin's a scam?.
It's not a scam until proven otherwise, I'm sick and tired and I know a lot of people are to keep watching these cunts cop-wannabee spreading FUD about every single coin that's launched and might have a future.

Why someone would have to give you his personal data you give your personal data to every user.No wonder that he deleted your spam when you make big problem of nothing.

Think about what you are saying? You are saying that it is wrong to ask questions, in a community where scamming is so prevalent and rife? That when i see a dev with tough questions to answer who is, instead of responding to them like any other innocent-minded human being, deletes the question and hides like a coward? To this minute he still has not answered a single question. Is that not suspicious to you, particularly considering the original thread he made he deleted and then thirty mins after mining it reappears. And because it was a small premine you think this can be vouching for his ignorance. Did you ever for once stop to think that, especially given his high school grade English in any of his mumbling posts, he is an incredibly stupid scammer and cannot even muster the hashpower to take advantage of what he set out to do?

Again, why don't we let him answer this instead of giving him fodder to regurgitate when he finally grows a pair and decides to answer?

It is one thing to ASK QUESTIONS and another one to accuse someone of being a scammer without  any evidence whatsoever.
He deleted your comment because it was a blatant accusation and a very agressive one, even threatening. Who the fuck do you think you are? What did your dad rape you or something?

look at you trying to take the moral high ground then getting all personal and low brow in the next sentence. Pathetic. I can only imagine your emotion is because you also have some kind of involvement, mining or other with that coin.

I'll break it down for you one more time so you cannot ignore it:

1. If someone asks a dev a question that relates to a premine or instamine then it should be answered. Those questions got deleted.
2. If the dev was capable of answering those questions, it is logical to do so instead of deleting them.
3. The dev could not answer the questions so continued to delete them from various different users, thinking we would go away.
4. To this minute, the dev has not explained his deletions, the original thread deletion, the premine or why he cannot tell us anything about him that would identify him. I will remind you that all good alt coins today, XC, sync, via etc all have publicly known devs and teams.

You are ignoring the facts to suit your predisposed beliefs. If you can't be objective your opinion is worth nothing. The dev needs to answer for any defenses you make to be worth anything.

OK,

What exactly is a scam coin?  I am curious what your definition of a scam coin is.

Honestly, I just scrolled through the thread again, he answered a few of the questions, and has offered to answer questions in IRC.  Have you tried IRC?

Sending him a threat and posting a wall of SCAM spam doesnt exactly state your case.

And just to be clear, I haven't touched Sativa, maybe I will when it hits bittrex. I didn't mine it because diff was to high when I found it. But some good pools are in it and it kinda looks good, I see no red flags in it.

I don't think it is a scam, I was mining it at about block 160.
Sure maybe it was ninja launched and an early pool got a bunch,
but it seems to have been a relatively fair launch. Just don't
know what the mission statement is or what they plan on doing
with the coin. But now a days, a coin can be just there to be
a coin with no purpose and do o.k. for a short time.

The only one? Sativacoin put the cone of silence on at least 3 other people including me. Probably more, that delete key was being spammed by sativacoin.

where do you see any similarity

Was that a question?
Well, maybe it is different because this is a scam coin.

With strong plans this coin could be a winner.

This coin has no plans. The dev is answering every ones questions except this one. He is just trying to steal the success of cannabiscoin.

Oh yea. SCAM

this is why i deleted your post

I was simply asking legitimate questions from the start. Like: Why are you different from other weed coins? What are your plans for the future? Can you elaborate? (He was dodging every question)

Well those started to get deleted. Why? are they really so hard to turn your brain on for?

Then he started to lie about how many posts hes was deleting. Starting to feel fishy.

Once people started posting about their posts being deleted and those were being deleted it just got me mad.

Why shouldn't people know anything and everything that is going on? Especially in a public forum? We are supposed to take interest in this right? I don't like censorship.

Sativa then started saying that Cannabiscoin was a scam. Who is he to make those allegations? The dev has gone through the proper POD process. Can we have that with Sativa?

Did I start making angry posts? Yes. I felt like the only thing I could do was try to ward people about this Sativa guy that is gagging me and others.

Can you honestly see a bright future for Sativa if the things I listed above happened?

BTW I don't care about the premine. Just be up front with it though. But if he tried to cover that up, what else has or will he cover up?

What is a potential scam coin? If there is a definition of one I would like to read it. But if it feels fishy, it is probably a scam.

This coin was launched wrong. Only one dev that we know of and he likes to delete posts of people that ask critical questions. No innovation to be found.

What say you?

EVERY SINGLE PERSON is profiting from every single coin being mined, or at least, intending to. So yeah, we all have biases, and we talk to each other about them, which gave rise to this community to which you're referring.

I have an amazing idea for you. Instead of frantically trying to predict which coins might be a scam, instead try to predict which coins might make you some money.

Your FUD contributes nothing to this community beyond shitty noise.

you hypocrite, That UFO coin in your sig is a fuckin HUGE scam, it was listed on 1 exchange,  i transfered my coins there to sell, and could of got 15 Litecoins,  meanwhile the fucktard  "Dev" requested it to be delisted from the exchange. Im guessing so he can instamine it by himself. So im left with usless shit that cant even be dumped, after wasting over 2 weeks mining it. you didn't research did you. Ufo coin algo is changing hence the delisting. And ironically you call it a scam in the face of this coin.

In this thread we have a bunch of sativacoin miners chipping in to protect their investment. Little do they know amidst their accusations of 'fudding' that I am stating facts. This is the first coin related scam thread I have made. The other two were about exchanges. So that ' you people call everything fud' comment is about as ill placed as can be.

AND STILLthe Dev cannot defend himself. People here are actually deluding themselves to think that a Dev who has posted in this thread already after 12 hours cannot refute any claims made. He doesn't even attempt to. And still the censoring of every non pro sativacoin post in the ann thread gets deleted. Yet you guys are deluding yourself into thinking there are no red flags. Utterly pathetic denial.

The blockchain itself appeared clean to me. Though mining began early, only 9 blocks were premined, so it's not a major problem either.

https://github.com/Earlz/coinreviews/blob/master/sativacoin.txt

sativacoin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=791266.0

Heritage: ISIS, DRM

Problems:

* MODERATE: All checkpoints are completely disabled
* MODERATE: Genesis seed is not a news event
* MODERATE: Incapable of sending alerts or sync checkpoints, since the keys have not been changed
* MINOR: first 9 blocks were premined, yielding a 0.125% premine of PoW coins

"//120 blocks for coins to mature gnome sayan" I've seen this somewhere...

Guys , the story is that dev made thread and then realised he wanted a self moderated thread , another dev didnt know this and mined 2 minutes after he thought thread was released.
This is why the 9block premine exists. which is btw really not alot of coins , and nothing to be concerned off this is just pure fud  :)
