I am in the UK and have various investments.
I would buy Grayscale if it didn't demand a minimum investment, and would use it in my retirement pension fund (401k in the USA). A pension gives you tax breaks.
The reason is, if I needed to sell Bitcoin for immediate needs, then I could offset it with some Grayscale in my retirement pension fund.
Aren’t there any similar Bitcoin ETP/trusts available that you can trade in any quantity? It seems the EU has been generally more favorable of a BTC index product.

2017 was the story of retail FOMO and 2018 showed how quickly their hands weakened.
2020 is the story of institutional and corporate balance sheets buying into BTC, and I suspect they will be in this for a much longer haul and make sure their investment retains value. These entities are controlled by the top 1% who truly have power to pave the way for BTC to flourish.
Nerds Libertarians Illicit buyers/sellers Retail Speculators High Net Worth families Hedge Funds Corporations
Where do we go next? Sovereign Wealth? Central Banks? I do think these are both likely in the next few years, and six digit BTC prices will be the norm.

Have any of you purchased GBTC instead of BTC? If so, why?
Yes, for tax-advantaged accounts (401k) it is one of the only ways to get exposure to BTC. A lot here like to shit on GBTC because it goes against the ethos of what BTC was/is?, but for the vast majority of people it is the easiest and most accessible way to gain exposure to the asset.

Is there any private pre-sale that would be open for a US accredited investor? Thanks

0x144014... was the first UNV coin, which was replaced with 0xbb325... UNV coin. They had issues with the first contract and distribution.
Does that mean that there are 2 different UniversalCoins in circulation, or have all the "old" ones been replaced by the "new" ones ? I still have my old ones. Maybe someday when the new version UNV takes over the world then the old version will be valuable as digital collectibles The old ones still exist, but the new UNV was issued to old UNV holders before the distributions continued to balance it out.

I like the idea, but I am somewhat confused when I look at the universalcoin smartcontracts that are available :
there are some rubbish and fake universalcoin contracts, I see 2 universalcoin contracts with real activity :
0xbb325121a2be1294b51c10ec56989e5693d0f59d : 40 billion coins,18 decimals,9180 addresses, recent activity in token distribution 0x1440147231CF81F08734E20Bf171a48820527306 : 40 billion coins, 6 decimals, 2300 addresses, recent activity in token distribution
in your initial post, you also mention 0xc38504eB4C56c7C1EC7a7656bA0Eb061fe0f112a as a distribution contract address
Are you distributing Universal coins from 2 different smart contracts (so a mix of 2 different coins)? Or is someone else, at the same moment as you, distributing Universal coins? seems very confusing for the holders of such a coin ? can you explain which different ether smart contract address play which role in your project? Thanks
Any answer on this? 0x144014... was the first UNV coin, which was replaced with 0xbb325... UNV coin. They had issues with the first contract and distribution.

I personally really believe in this project. I didn't put much money into it because I bought my PRLs when they the price was under $0.01, but now it's value is really big. My only concern is the team abandoning the project for some reason. Don't get me wrong, I'm not FUDing and I'm certainly saying they will do that. But I have witnessed few projects that were abandoned because the team run out of money and desire to work on the project. I'm just hoping that Bruno and the rest of the team will continue to work on this project because it really could revolutionize Internet advertising (like Ethereum revolutionized crypto world with it's ERC20 tokens).
Abandoning the project? GTFO.

Oyster Mainnet Update
I always figured IOTA would be the weak link in the Oyster ecosystem. Hope they can get their act together so it doesn't hold up the PRL team further.

None for me yet Looks like they stopped sending 45 mins ago Looks like they had a little hiccup, but hang tight and it will restart

I was just thinking, can we add web hosting companies to the list of targets for PRL/SHL? Would it be feasible once PRL/SHL stabilizes to start a "free" web hosting company that allows people to build whatever site they want, host all the data on the Tangle and the web hosting company collects the PRLs instead of payment from site creators?

Only about 1400 blocks to the airdrop. I have now increased my PLR inventory a bit. On average, I paid 0.0016 eth per PLR.
What awaits us after the airdrop? What are the chances for PLR and SHL?
...You mean PRL right? PLR is a different unrelated coin

SONM
I have SONM in my wallet.Certainly one of the coins I trust.SONM will return to old levels. It will even pass 1 dollar. It could be $ 5 during the bull season. I have XEL and RLC. It's the alternatives for SONM as I know. Need to buy sonm I consider for full pack of computer coins. Might as well get some GNT while youre at it, collect em all!

Good point, I like that idea. Post ticker symbols only and I will take a snapshot on April 15th
April 1st (tomorrow), the start of the quarter is IMHO, the best time to take the snapshot. Yea, I didn’t think there would be many responses, but I will take a snapshot later today. Keep the guesses coming.

To be fair, you should take a snap shot of all the coins at coinmarketcap (very easy to do)...this way everything is on same starting point. You should know that prices can drastically change in minutes...more so in days or weeks.
Let people enter their vote but you use the value on your sheet.
Good point, I like that idea. Post ticker symbols only and I will take a snapshot on April 1st

Hello everyone, you might remember these threads: 1Q 2018 thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2671625.04Q 2017 thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2242841.0Let's do it again and see who the winners and losers will be for April-June 2018. Please post the ticker symbol and I will update this main post. The coin must be currently trading on an exchange. On April 1st I will take a price snapshot for all tickers so we have a similar starting point. Thanks, and good luck to all! Check into XLM based coins. There are some great quality projects that dont get much exposure because they trade on the Stellar DEX (which is actually easy to setup and use https://stellarterm.com). My top 3 are SLT, MOBI, RMT. Super low market caps
