Yeah it is a huge GPL violation, among other things.

Can anybody please come out with a version that the 2% is removed?
I can try, but not with the source. I can try reverse engineer it, and patch the binary, but then you'd have to trust me. Careful, it's obfuscated pretty hard The part where he loads his pool credentials, yes. Olly at least was not able to find the name of the pool and username. But as far as packing goes, there is none. I pulled those from wireshark, though it's kinda pointless.

For people using the 2% fee miner with reference 290 cards (elpida memory in my case), here is my setup getting ~3.7MH per card with low rejects: { "pools" : [ { "name" : "TRADEMYBIT X11", "url" : "stratum+tcp://east01.us.trademybit.com:4440", "user" : "user1", "pass" : "pass1", "pool-priority" : "0" }, { "name" : "TRADEMYBIT X11", "url" : "stratum+tcp://west01.us.trademybit.com:4440", "user" : "user2", "pass" : "pass2", "pool-priority" : "1" } ],
"intensity" : "18", "kernel" : "darkcoin", "lookup-gap" : "2", "thread-concurrency" : "20482", "vectors" : "1", "worksize" : "128", "auto-fan" : true, "auto-gpu" : true, "gpu-threads" : "2", "gpu-fan" : "40-85", "gpu-powertune" : "20", "gpu-engine" : "1000", "gpu-memclock" : "1250", "temp-target" : "80", "temp-overheat" : "92", "temp-cutoff" : "95", "temp-hysteresis" : "3",
"api-listen" : true, "api-mcast-port" : "4028", "api-port" : "4028",
"log" : "5", "queue" : "1", "scan-time" : "60",
"failover-switch-delay" : "60", "no-pool-disable" : true, "kernel-path" : "/usr/local/bin" }
I could not get it to use my config file, how did you get it to work?

You don't need the pools or miners.
All you need to get to change are the Fiat exchanges. Everyone else will be forced to follow.
Basically get BTC-E to change, and maybe the chinese exchanges, and you're set.
Everyone else will have no choice.

moving FORWARD we have no idea whats going to happen with the coin, probably nothing from where we stand right now. If anyone wants to make any suggestions we are all ears
My suggestion is cut the block reward to 1/20th of what it is now. Combined with gravity well that will force the price up hard. Also it will burn the early dumpers. Anyone who wants back in will have to claw back coins which will also bring the price back up.

Unless he's stupid enough to reveal his wallet address; then you guys could hardcode the pandacoin net to not accept transactions from his address (lol).

Glad to see you're not giving up.
I've seen rockier launches of coins that are still alive today.
|
|
|
Just update the wallet and cut the reward to 1/10th or 1/20th starting in a couple hundred blocks and let the price stabilize.
|
|
|
Just keep working on the coin... coins are shocking hard to kill...

ELP is off price on the BTC page.
|
|
|
ELP is not pulling the correct price from Coins-E on the BTC ratio page.
