1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: has anyone seen or heard of Polarity Exchange or TurtleNetwork? on: October 10, 2020, 03:14:30 PM
I believe Polarity is built off of TurtleNetwork, so all fees for transactions will be in TN.
If polarity starts seeing more high frequency traders, TN coins are gonna become scarce.

Hey @bitcoin carpenter, what's going to be the main use-case of the TN coins? Will TN holders get some discount for trading on polarity? Or they both have no relation at all?

So after looking into it some more, Id say polarity is a great place for small traders who like to scalp.  Or its a place for high frequency traders who like to make small percentages of many smaller trades.
The fees are super cheap, and the trading is super fast for a DEX, but huge settlements are not in place and are almost impossible as of yet.
That being said almost every trading platform started out the same.

If the trading and volume increases at the same rate as it has over the past month for another year, then buying TN at around a penny each with 100 million supply will have been a steal.

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we all fools on believing the word "HOLD"? on: October 10, 2020, 05:29:04 AM
I believe the term is HODL, but yes HODL'ing is crazy if you arent part of the original team, and know nothing more about the project then what you are getting fed by a bunch of guys telling you to HODL.

Only coin to HODL is the coin you are actively helping to create an ecosystem for, If it cant pull you in, then it is just another flop project.
A wrong statement, how can I contribute by using the product made by the project I invested in when the project has not made any products? Don't close yourself off to small opportunities.
Investing in a project that has 0 product is the epitome of silliness.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie's guide to avoid ICO Scam on: October 05, 2020, 06:09:12 AM
If your a newb forget everything about ICO's or altcoins, you probably dont even know what blockchain is yet.....

I have introduced so many people to cryto, and almost none of them have heeded this advice.

sure invest, but only buy Bitcoin, trade bitcoin, research blockchain, research exchanges and decentralized exchanges research, research, and research some more....

learn how to trade,  learn what blockchain can do to simplify world trade, to record data, to create inventory and rid us of redundancies, learn about all the major scams in this space, learn about the successes.....

when your no longer a newb consider venturing outwards, but only into waters your very familiar with... take every piece of advice with a cube of salt, and every piece of critisism should be taken as truth until proven otherwise...
dont sweat the missed opportunities.
but get ready, when your ready...
this is the wild west baby..
newbies need to learn before they go shooting from the hip.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can new crypto beat Eth in the market? on: October 05, 2020, 05:58:12 AM
Eth has many shortcomings, and more then anything else, crypto is about the tech and how the code is used in an ever increasingly more efficient way...

the problem with all blockchains are that they become more static the greater their network effect, and the more static they become, the less likely they are to become the most efficient form of code to fill the needs set by the actual users of the product.
As far as value goes, Im sure that Eth will hold up against its competitors for a while, but as a means of actual transactions or blockchain adoption, its just to rudimentary.

I am just diving into it myself, so you may want to enter the telegram group to find out more as I am still in the learning process.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is monero a good buy because of the application? on: October 05, 2020, 05:45:01 AM
If you are thinking to yourself that you would like to obfuscate your transcation, then hell ya Monero is awesome, though if you realized that you need to buy it through an exchange first then transfer it back to fiat or BTC to actualize your profits then you have realized the biggest truth about Monero....

most people use it to trade on a centalized exchange and by doing so make its main feature useless.

dont get fooled by rhetoric.

shit...
I may have had one to many beers.

still its worth a look though.   I just had all my crypto spidey senses go a tingling when i read about what had transpired in this project since I was last here.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / has anyone seen or heard of Polarity Exchange or TurtleNetwork? on: October 05, 2020, 05:04:06 AM
Crazy as it may seem, I got involved in this small side project that was a an offshoot "fork" of the Waves Network a year ago.
At the time it seemed like a small investment to basically tell Sasha Ivanov to screw off after he threatened me for calling him out on one of his many fiasco's even though I had been around the community since its ICO.

Recently though, I have come back into crypto and have been amazed by what has come from this community based project.
Bram has really developed a competitor.

That and this guy named "wolf" I think have really pushed the limits on a community based project.

Anyways, Its been a while since I have been involved here, but I think you may all want to take a look at what TurtleNetwork and Polarity have been building, obviously this isnt investment advice, but for those of you that remember me from back in the day, I think this may be something uniquely interesting.

IEO's are even worse than ICO's

Just another name for the same thing, though this time the exchange makes more profit
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES on binance on: April 17, 2019, 10:29:17 PM
Gotta say i love the wavesplatform.
I have tested almost every platform out there, but its waves that i use almost daily.
You dont have to invest much to use it either, but if you need a blockchain to implement an idea then waves is the go to platform.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES on binance on: April 17, 2019, 10:25:47 PM
Instant rebound just shows that waves is at its bottom.
Nowhere to go but up from here.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Waves platform is in top 6 most used blockchains but cmc has it under top 40? on: October 22, 2018, 04:05:46 PM
So waves platform is now sitting at top 6 for most used blockchain in crypto.
Whats even crazier is that because waves allows packaged mass transfers it is actually in the top 3 most used for total transfers/day.
That and it is ranked under the top 40 in total marketcap.

Either waves is the most undervalued platform crypto on the planet, or every other platform us vastly over valued.

Although in crypto adoption normally follows price, this uis the first time that i see a crypto platform that will follow the proper order of price following adoption.
