Brothers, do you believe NMC will be 8 dollars like it once was?

I think NMC is not going to cut it and will end up just an alpha test. I think there are details to be fleshed out in how to implement name registration.

Really? So its done for???

The theory is an interesting idea. The implementation leaves much to be desired. I would not be putting my money on the line for NMC.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: The People's Republic of China has successfully pumped and dumped Bitcoin on: April 26, 2014, 08:43:44 AM
I hope all the idiots who sell every single time China bans Bitcoin have lost a lot of money. Every time it happens I lose a bit more faith in the human race.

As far as I'm concerned China has nothing to do with Bitcoin anymore. They can't possibly say anything that would concern me.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't find any information on Nick Szabo, is he is who he says he is? on: April 22, 2014, 01:43:21 AM
A better question is does Nick Szabo even exist, rather than is he who he claims to be. We have no photos of him, and the University he claims to work at denies he was ever employed there.

Is he a real person, or just another pseudonym like Satoshi Nakamoto? If he really is/was a professor, then surely students who went there would have had interactions with him and can verify that he exists.

What proof is there that Nick Szabo is a real person?
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CNBC Video - "The Bitcoin Uprising" on: April 18, 2014, 12:14:31 AM
I thought it was leaning towards the negative side. They didn't go a whole lot into the benefits Bitcoin offers over the current financial system.

What is the news from China?  I don't see anything other than a new ATM...

Tell me when we really had a good translation of a real news from China ?

But every article that quotes bitcoin from China , no matter the rest is driving the price down lately. It was funny first but now is annoying.

I'm almost tempted to write a fake article about China banning Bitcoin ATMs or something and publish it on a random site to see how much it hurts the market. But nah, I'm not quite that mean.

Wake me up when China is out of Bitcoin blood system. Till then I'll keep any dollar I could put my hands on.

I wish China would just say "Bitcoin is illegal and anyone who owns any will be shot in the face". At least then we can forget about their bullshit and get on with business.

Then be prepared for sub 200 coins, price is propped up almost exclusively because of China.

Yeah, sub 200 in a flash crash before intelligent people buy the coins back up.

I didn't buy bitcoins because I have some delusional idea in my head of Chinese people evading government controls to freely trade money with the rest of the world. I don't give a single fuck about China nor do I want them involved in any of this.

They censor the Internet. They're never going to allow Bitcoin (at least not without extremely strict measures around it) no matter what.

Seriously, we are going down because of another China rumour? This is a joke right?

Bitcoin traders are some of the most retarded people on the planet. I have a picture in my head of them sitting at a Fisher Price toy hitting the different colours with a plastic hammer to buy and sell Bitcoin.

Here comes the correction folks.

All the way back to where we were 3 hours ago.
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: It's NOT acceptable for any Mt. Gox acquisition plan to not refund coins on: April 16, 2014, 07:29:42 AM
Sorry guys this is why the Governments warn against BTC because it's not regulated, which is of coarse why we all love it, but these Government and Banking Agencies are and will use this as a reason to try to slap down some regulations on BTC.

Is it? That's not why I love it. I'm not anti government.

Bitcoin will be regulated one day (probably soon), and I'll be glad when it happens. Do you want there to be unregulated banks operating which take your money, then disappear overnight and leave no trace? Regulation is a good thing.

Its was refreshing to finally see a bear trap. I've said it was coming too, kinda amusing that people forgot that not only the bulls can be trapped.

It wasn't that long ago that this forum was full of people saying "you're a fucking idiot if you short bitcoin"

I miss all the pictures of trains and moons.

Wait till (if) we get to 490. There wil be an invasion of bulls and bears turned bulls shouting 500 with trains moons babes lambos everything you want.

What about a lambo on a train?

Even though I'm long term bull, this has to be a bull trap. All these people could have bought last week for less money. Why is Bitcoin suddenly more desirable to them now than it was before? Nothing has changed.

lol, this is the number 1 bear argument

You are not a bull...

If I'm not a bull then why have I never sold a single BTC in my life? They're all either spent or in paper wallets.

My general sentiment is no different now to how it was a week ago, or even a month ago. There has been no significant news, neither good nor bad.

17  Economy / Economics / Re: Is anyone else tired of hearing bad Bitcoin news ?! on: April 14, 2014, 11:13:41 AM
Did you know that Mt Gox lost all its customers bitcoins?

Also, Bitcoin is illegal in China now.

I also heard that it was a massive bubble and ponzi scheme and that stupid investors lost millions of dollars when it dropped in value by 99.9% recently.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 14, 2014, 10:41:55 AM
Oh this sucks so much that we're going up. Be prepared for post after post from people like Tera how we're going down, how it's a bull trap and other bullshit because they of course missed their ridiculously low buy order and missed the train again. The same story every time we go up.
Life must suck so bad as a bear trader. Missing buy orders, losing money and spreading fud, the life of a bear.

My trading strategy is put all coins in paper wallets, then wank over charts in a bull market and forget about Bitcoin and get on with life in a bear market. Seems to be working well so far.

On one hand I'm glad that the China bullshit will be over in a few hours, but on the other hand I remember the last China deadline on 31st Jan. I was sure that the price would go up once it passed, but the complete opposite happened.
