Based on my research, I don't believe we will see 435 ever again (Bitstamp). If someone is willing to bet (I naturally expect much better than 1:1 for me), PM please.

Chart1 & Chart2.

This is just the 2013-7-18 again. No looking back (when you least expect it).

Brothers, do you believe NMC will be 8 dollars like it once was?

I think NMC is not going to cut it and will end up just an alpha test. I think there are details to be fleshed out in how to implement name registration.

No PMs. Lets talk openly. What kind a bet? For how much about 1BTC? Or 1 oz gold coin?

No this is actually NEW China news this time:  They want to take down recharge codes and other deposit options, and before it was just bank transfers. For the first time, the situation is actually significantly worse now than it was in was in December. For a while we thought that Chinese exchanges would be able to continue doing volume by using alternative payment methods but now it is turning into a complete cut-off. I bet btcchina's ATMs will be taken down.
Nothing changed since the December china statement which was:
Bitcoin is not a currency - it's a digital commodity (virtual goods). This means 3 thing:
1) No banks or payment processors could be involved directly or indirectly in Bitcoin trading - they have licences for dealing with money not bitcoin.
2) You can't price any other commodity or service in Bitcoin - those are priced in yuan.
3) Bitcoin is legal and you could buy it or sell it privately (face to face or something like localbitcoins). No statement was made what are the valid ways to do this, so regulation or clarification on this could come in the future.

Those were clearly stated back in December and there is no change till now.

while many day traders are expecting an upswing to 475, this makes a very good case to be long  Grin

The event unfolded as an ABC corrective pattern, stunted at 440. I would bet that we never see under 400 again. I think Im going to make a bet on bitbet - '4000 before 400'

I prefer to make my bets by my position in market rather than with people directly, but do you really think that if a Chinese exchange came out now and either confirmed the news or even worse announced they were closing that we wouldn't drop $20?

Resolved after 3 months or if it goes below.

What odds?

Anything can always happen. Why I am touting this matter now, is that I believe I have a higher confidence that it won't happen than the others. If everybody agreed that the likelihood for that (hitting 435 again) is exactly 87.3%, there would be no betting and no fun.

(It is not easy to bet the long side, because the best bet is always to just buy bitcoins.)

The theory is an interesting idea. The implementation leaves much to be desired. I would not be putting my money on the line for NMC.

In general, I agree with you.  I've noticed (I think) some who have long holdings but don't try to influence the mood of this thread.

The complex personalities here are the most interesting to me.  I believe that there are several who practice second level thinking when it comes to making a post here.  I also think that there are some who are capable of third level thinking.
Now you intrigued me  Wink.  What do you call second level thinking?

And if you are wondering about my level  Grin:

After staking your analysis reputation on price hitting $580 before $480, and losing, you are forbidden to guess price any further.

Huobi rising while Stamps falling, we saw a $20 or so gap between the two yesterday (GMT) and over night the gap has been closed to $6.

As much as i want to agree with you i never understand how people make these "never see again" claims. I too think we will go up again but 1 fud article from China in the next 5 minutes and we will be at 420 before you can blink your eyes. How can just rule that out?

I thought you might give me some credit when it bounced squarely of 480 on stamp before the c wave, you probably saw the chart. nope, but I only get credit for my losers around here. selective bastards. you will see plenty analysis to come I promise. I might pm you some of my best work  Wink

If you want much better than 1:1 odds I wonder what real chance you give your own prediction? Those odds indicate significantly lower than 50%.
