hello, in this survey we have listed a few crypto algorithms we can work on next, with the hope to improve the ROI. all algorithm developed will be provided to the community for free, and open source. if you have time please participate, your input is very valuable to our project. https://s.surveyplanet.com/JhWi_aQm Hi there! I have been doing some research and I must say that projects like these don't come forward often. The fact that you guys are willing to open source everything is really refreshing and will be a good thing in the long run IMO, as reputation is really important in crypto. I do have one question though: are there any other algos that the FPGA would be able to run, and will you disclose this before the end of the crowdfunding campaign? Thanks! yes there are many algorithms the fpga hardware can run on, it is just we don't want to overpromise because we don't have time to implement them all. we can release a list of potential algorithms in future update. thanks.

It looks like you are about 15% funded on your campaign which is pretty good considering how mining is currently. How long to you plan to keep the campaign running and will you try another way if you do not get enough funding?
hi thank you. the campaign will be kept on for another 14 days. please sign up if you haven't we will be releasing project updates through their mailist. well, we are producing the 2nd engineering batch now, with all bugs fixed and features implemented, by the end of campaign the board should be production ready. after the campaign we may take orders from our website, but we can only make a batch if the order if there is demand

Hi! sorry for the long wait, we have finalized the terms with Crowdsupply and plan to launch the campaign in the coming Monday/Tuesday! The campaign page will be updated with loads of useful information once the campaign starts officially, please sign up for updates if you haven't already. I also attached a preview of the mining performance table, all the algorithms will be provided free of charge and 0 dev fee. at the end of the campaign we will open source the algorithm design. https://www.crowdsupply.com/agilmine/ultraminer-fpgaany chance to make a video showing the numbers & performance? (a very clear 1 on the whole set running & mining) starting to get the funds it means you have 90% ready, also the amount is not small. from today to march is a long way to go in this market, many changes can happen. yes exactly we will release some videos in the coming days. it will be released as campaign updates on crowdsupply, so please do sign up the notification on CS if you haven't already. https://www.crowdsupply.com/agilmine/ultraminer-fpgaAlso we have sent miner to 3rd party reviewer who will also post some validation video. the miner version is 90% done, prototype been made to validate the design, we will make another batch soon at the end of the campaign period. crowdsupply wants to have some margin in time schedule. we think if the campaign is successful, it should take up to 2 months to have the boards made and shipped. the developer version may take longer though. thanks.

This is going to be great for devs with the vivado license but for actual miners unless we see a plethora of Bitstreams I am afraid others will just buy used VCU cards. thanks, we are continuously working on the algorithms development, and at the end of the campaign we will open source all algorithm designs. we hope to get involved more developers into the project, and make more algos available in the future. besides that, the setup is much easier and user friendly than the VCU cards.

I hope you can get the funding you need to complete this in a timely manner. Thanks. yes we have the funding to complete the production run, and I would say the sw/hw is 85% ready, in about 2-3 months they shall be shipped.

I have been contemplating FPGAs for a while. They do seem like the logical successor of GPU rigs which, while available to everyone, are costly and not really energy efficient.
Maybe to early to tell, but what sort of price range would we be talking about?
yes fpga is costly due to the low production volume (compared to asic chips) that's why we want to launch it on a popular platform to attract more general developers and students, at the same time serving the crypto community. we are trying to bring down the price to 350 USD, but the final price will be decided by Crowdsupply as they want to ensure the fulfillment. plus we will also open source the code, bitstream rtl, schematics we also to bring in more community involvement. xilinx will also ship the fpga with free development tool license, that would be a huge saving for developers as well. Thanks. 350$ seems like a very affordable target for most people, I hope you guys succeed! That depends of the performance that gives, also need to see the quality and service. I was thinking on Blackminer but the performance is not good, hard to get ROI. I hope to see a good project on this. Yeah I was looking at the Blackminer mini for 180$, but hashrates are not really impressive. Also the algos/bitstreams available on FPGAs are still quite limited to more obscure ones I find. we see one problem is that the algo bitstreams design are not released to the public, so if they stopped maintaining the bitstream and software there won't be of much usage of these boards. with the open source code and free license from xilinx, we hope to build a platform with more active community involvement

hi, is this the same that wasn't funded on Indiegogo?
Yes at that time we didn't have the prototype board ready, so the design was an uncertainty. we now have fully proven working demo board. in addition there are some issues with the kickstarter and indegogo as they are not crypto friendly- you are not allowed to promoting it as a cryptocurreny miner on their platform. that's the reason why we decided to work with crowdsupply, not only they welcome crypto, but they offer variety of professional services to make your product successful. The reason they don't like crypto anymore is because of Butterfly labs. Also, FPGA boards are no longer economical at least the ones that I know of or the ones I think I could have fabricated for me locally. So yours must be some next level stuff. Where can I see what it mines, and other specs? I'd love to get a few for myself (if I can afford it). We will be updating the campaign page with spec soon. the official demo video will be uploaded by crowdsupply, but i may share some unofficial videos on youtube in a few days.. I am updating the spec and draft mining performance table , will share that as well. thanks.

Hi, We have been working on building an FPGA miner with open source bitstream projects. For months we have been keeping head down trying to get the prototype work, finally we have some good news to share! 1. UltraMiner prototype board is Alive and ready to go production run pretty soon! 2. Our project has been reviewed and accepted to be launched on Crowd Supply platform Update: our campaign is alive now on Crowd supply! please check out the campaign page we have tons of updated information there https://www.crowdsupply.com/agilmine/ultraminer-fpgaFirst, we want to apologize for the lack of progress updates recently. We are a group of engineers who have been working on this project at night and during the weekend; We don’t want to bother you too much until knowing that the prototype is fully functional, and there is a safe channel that people can place order for it. Now I am happy that we have figured out both of the problems! Key Feature of UltraMiner FPGA: • Fast & Low power Equipped with the latest 16nm Xilinx UltraScale+ FPGA that is 2x faster than the old 7 series Kintex, and half the power consumption. • Affordable Xilinx UltraScale+ FPGA product line is premium priced. We want the lowest price from Xilinx so as to make a miner board is affordable to everyone. • Open source No private algorithm asking for license fee or closed project for selected group. Cryptocurrency means openness and transparency for everyone. We are committed to open source the bitstream files and mining host application. • Easy to use & Configurability You can configure everything, on the fly, underclock the FPGA or overclock it, undervolted to save power or overvolted to (burn) squeeze out more performance, up to you. GUI is provided allowing you to monitor the power consumption and temperature remotely. • Customer protection That’s why we want to bring Crowd Supply on board, who promises 100% success rate for delivery. They carefully screen every project application, and invest in time and effort with the builders to deliver what they promise. If your project isn’t up to snuff, you’re not getting on the site! We will be releasing more information soon. Thank you all for the patience and support!

Thanks! We are on the original track for the demo board development and delivery. we hope more people will sign up once they see the live demo, then we will re-launch the campaign. we believe such a low cost/hobbyist friendly fpga dev board will not only benefit the crypto community, but many other fields as well. Im surprised so few people signed up for this card on indiego. Did so many people get burned on previous fpga buys that everyone is now playing 'the waiting game'?

2/28 Update: We have placed a order for 10 Xilinx FPGA sample parts to build the first batch of Ultraminer prototype boards! We also received a loaner KCU116 FPGA evaluation board from Xilinx, to be used for algorithm development, design reference and accurate power estimation. We have great work ahead of us!

Understood, we are working hard to shorten the pre-sale period and remove most uncertainties beforehand by building the demo prototype boards and sort out the production details. also we consider launch it on the crowd supply in the future which is a more reliable platform to many customers. the reason for doing pre-sale, is that we need enough volume to bring down the cost, in order to sell the board at the low price. so we set the goal to the the lowest quantity we can make this economically, if not met, then you will get full refund from the platform. HI Everyone, Agilmine is back! After months of planning and hardworking, We are happy to announce that today we have officially launched the Ultraminer FPGA miner campaign on crowdfunding platform Indiegogo! As some of you may know we are bunch of developers/hobbyists who had previously built a prototype fpga universal miner board named "Agilmine A1" which had already been sent to some forum members for verification. People loved its simplicity, easy setup and power efficiency. This time we are going to upgrade the design with Xilinx UltraScale+ Kintex KU3P which is from Xilinx's top-line 16nm process chip family. This is the highest performed and most power efficient FPGA series you can find in the market. You should expect 1.5-2x performance boost than Agilmine A1 prototype at about the same power consumption (20-25w). That is about 1.5x hash performance than a GPU, at only 1/10 of GPU's power consumption. Indiegogo pre-order price of UltraMiner FPGA: $399Please do check out our campaign page and website see if you like to support, or pre-order! If we didn't meet the goal before campaign ends or we won't deliver, you will receive full refund from Indiegogo. https://igg.me/at/ultraminer* Please be noted that since "Crypto" is prohibited on Indiegogo (or any other crowdfunding platforms..). We are only allowed to campaign for a generic FPGA dev board there *The information regarding cryptocurrency mining, including the estimated hashrate and power consumption can be found on our website page www.agilmine.comEstimated hashrate table: All the mining algorithm bitstream files will be free to download, 0 dev fee, and we will provide some open source design framework to boost the 3rd party algorithm development on ultraminer platform. Our mission is to make a FPGA miner that is accessible and affordable to every miner/enthusiast/hobbyist in the crypto community, which in our believe would benefit the decentralization and hence the long term prosperity and diversity of cryptocurrency industry. Our plan is to deliver this board in 3 months! We have already locked down the price terms with Xilinx USA, and arranged the manufacturing factories in China and USA to build this miner for you. If you have specific questions or concerns please do let us know! Thank you for the time! We are here to answer questions and concerns. You can reach us via email and on discord as well. dev@agilmine.comDiscord: https://discord.gg/R36gzXMMailist Product Update: http://[Suspicious link removed]/dMfjhQ In the current market, I personally think we had better keep suspicious about pre-sale mentioned in the post. Pre-sale means that you who sale UltraMiner pass the risk to us buyers, which smay be irresponsible.

Can you explain why one would choose Net or Net advanced versions? And which alogos will work on each of those?
the Net and Net advanced versions are for FPGA hobbyists and developers we don't plan to develop mining algorithms on them... thanks.
