1  Economy / Speculation / Do you believe we will hit 100k in the next 3 months? on: October 04, 2024, 07:40:54 PM
We are supposed to be in a very crucial spot right now where if history repeats itself in the cycle following the halving we should be jumping into new ATHs from October-December time frame. Do you guys believe that Bitcoin will hit 100k by then? I do think it will reach this height!
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Identity Revealed LOL on: October 04, 2024, 07:38:27 PM
Saw a tweet a while ago and it says:

Quote
JUST IN: New HBO documentary claims to have uncovered the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous creator of #Bitcoin.

Damn betting my btc asset its just a hearsay and possible viewers increase since crypto is going mainstream. Maybe HBO should invite some users here like theymos and others who might give them more clue instead.

Edit: Didnt watch the clip yet, but already seen some comments like pouring in. The video will be aired on October 8th, 2024 2am CET ( 9pm EST)

Hey everyone! You’ve probably seen Michael Saylor’s awesome presentation, "Bitcoin: There Is No Second Best". Ever thought about how that kind of content would vibe as a hip-hop track (East Coast style)? Well, wonder no more...

YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRCKD_ObNzg

It's not the usual way of educating about BTC by smart heads talking for hours. What do you think?

Music has always been an effective method used to educate the masses via schooling etc on something important like this. I find MS to be such a beast dude is a Bitcoin tank!
4  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com|Casino & Sportsbook|VIP|Instant withdrawals!| Suarez, McGregor on: September 30, 2024, 03:27:56 AM
This stream should be fun! Can't pass up the opportunity to watch The Notorious as he's one of the great entertainers of our generation. Hope to see many bitcointalk people in the chat over on kick Smiley
It is not a first stream of The Notorious on Duelbits as I remember. Shortly after Duelbits starting their cooperation with The Notorious, he made one or some streams as I remember. I did not join these previous streams but saw some short videos shared on X by Duelbits team.

This man has good ability to hype his audience so generally Duelbits chose a good man to do marketing things for them.

When people heard about this news that duelbits sealed the partnership deal with McGregor many people got hype up with that news knowing that he has huge influence in sport scene.

He is know for that and make sure that there's always a hype build up on each activities he do.

Also people asking about signed merch and looks like Duelbits didn't make their community disappointed since now they are running a giveaway and the prize is signed gloves of McGregor. If you like to participate guys you can go to this link https://x.com/Duelbits/status/1839759718765449467 the person will win that is so lucky.

Damn bro Duel Bits is on fire with this partnership 😎 that’s what you call a PROPER partnership (pun intended IYKYK). It’s Duelbits to Dublin on this one bringing this lad into the mix with some Guinness on ice 💯 Now just sit back and enjoy the show!
5  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why not create a Gambling platform on Market narrative? on: September 30, 2024, 03:23:19 AM
A few years ago, NFT was launched and it set the market ablaze. Many NFT projects emerged at that time, which left investors confused. They began investing in new NFT projects without understanding them, resulting in significant losses. To this day, these investors have not been able to recover from their losses unless they sold their NFT.

Currently, meme coins are gaining popularity, with a new coin appearing in the market almost daily or weekly. The prevailing belief is that meme coins offer the highest ROI, which they are delivering.

Then, why not create a platform for predicting the performance of any cryptocurrency or a platform for predicting future trends in the market or both?

What are your thoughts on this?

So like forex but for crypto? I feel like something like that already exists but it’s an interesting topic for sure OP call it Cryptex! That’s got a nice ring to it, same concept as betting on one currency over the other but instead of Fiat it’s crypto. Is this already a thing?! I feel like it definitely is….
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are free games in online slot games designed to really suck? on: September 30, 2024, 03:21:06 AM
Well indirectly this is also something I question my friend, thank you for opening the topic, I am also one of the gamblers who favor casino games like slots and lately I feel that when I manage to get a bonus round (without buying) I see the rounds in it are really very bad, this happens in the long term like the last few months which is added again it is really difficult to get the free spins if you don't buy them, I have completed hundreds of rounds and even though the balance in my account has run out I still haven't managed to get the free spins.

This is really annoying, I don't know about whether most casinos are now changing the mechanism in each game to make it harder to win or what, because previously what I thought was maybe because I was really far from luck, this situation really makes it difficult for me to win, even in small amounts, and indirectly this situation also makes my interest in gambling disappear. Sad

I could see it being really easy and convenient to change an online gambling websites coding to favor the casino. I could imagine free spins winning some small rigged bets to lure you in but once you’re hooked boom a change in the algorithm. Now nothing is for certain and I’m not saying that happens but how hard is it really for a fully online casino to make the odds a bit more in their favor??
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Watching the games you bet on is meant to be a part of the fun. (2) on: September 30, 2024, 02:22:33 AM
This discussion is mostly about sporting events, for instance, football.

Do you consider gamblers who bet on fewer games that they can watch to be gambling more for fun than to make money?

My answer
It is a yes for me, because fun is not just in betting on these games, but following up with these games by watching them contributes to the fun you intend to have. If you bet on so many games across many leagues that have kick-off times clashing, then you are obviously betting with more intention to make money than have fun because there is no way you are going to watch all these games at the same time.

What do you think? Is it possible for a gambler with a long bet slip to be gambling for fun?

Would have to agree. Like 7 years ago I was playing in the championship for my fantasy football league and just when all odds were against me my last player Travis Kielce got like 40 points or something and I was over the moon!
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Duck racing.. a new variety? on: September 30, 2024, 02:20:00 AM
Well, I've been doing alot of reading in the past days.. During one of my expeditions, I stumbled on a video -- The competition between ducks ( not the rubber or simulated ones) -- a real duck!
* Has anyone found an interest in stopping by the fields where these games are initiated before?
* How was your xperience?
* Do you think it's a fair game for the gamblers and the organizers as well? More illustrations on the picture below:

This is quacktastic lmfao wow this takes the cake for all the posts on here today 😂. Where can I sign up and make my first duck race bet? This would be so funny to watch I’m sure I am truly laughing hysterically right now lol.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What slots streamers do you watch and why? on: September 29, 2024, 03:35:28 AM
I find myself enjoying some of the content out there in the streaming world and wonder if any of you watch the same streamers as me and why you watch the streamers you watch?

I'll start with the streamers I watch.

Drewstar23 - I got him his deal at Gamdom and he is pretty down to earth. Does a giveaway for his viewers at the beginning of every stream and has a few randoms during. If he reaches his nightly goal he does a $250 giveaway to viewers. Don't have to be under his code but runs lots of promos for those that are.

ZeroArmor - Usually on late at night for me, and no other streamers on at this time. He's kinda boring overall to watch as he just spins away. Not too many giveaways or anything. Complains alot about how bad slots are or whatever and he cannot win. Wouldn't recommend unless bored.

BigChungyTV - Mainly a blackjack player. Likes to joke alot and chill. Semi entertaining and will chat with his viewers.

hummdog - If I am on when she goes live i'll tune in for a bit. She's fairly entertaining and does some giveaways for viewers.

GamDucks - daily bonus hunt giveaway for affiliates monthly. If not under their code you cannot win anything but still semi entertaining to watch.

HannahSayce - I like chess and she is a good chess player. Likes to interact with her chat and she does a little strategy talk after a game. If you like chess you'll like her.

Xposed - IMO 1 of the top streamers out there that actually puts on a "show". Most streamers I watch just spin and do not really have a plan. They just wanna win money and cashout. This guy puts in some effort most night and is pretty entertaining to watch.

TrainWreckstv - Another of the big streamers that most everyone knows. Long streams and sometimes some massive giveaways.

I watch all of these guys on Kick. There are a few poker streamers I watch as well on twitch but the poker community seems small on  here so I won't mention the poker guys.

Most of the time I am just wasting a couple hours and have stumbled across these guys. I enjoy watching streamers when they can make it entertaining. Just sitting there spinning slots over and over without really showcasing the casino and making a show out of it gets boring fast, but some of them do make it entertaining and you can also get a few bucks in the giveaways if lucky. I don't participate in the giveaways much, but if you like free money I'd recommend checking a couple of these guys out.

What streamers do you all enjoy? Maybe I'll check out their channel.

To be honest  I don’t watch very many streamers in this space I wasn’t aware that there were so many good ones apparently. Being a streamer would be difficult I imagine but talking about cryot all the time would surely be fun!
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Well done KYC. on: September 29, 2024, 03:25:30 AM
Most gamblers don't like submitting KYC because of many reasons. I don't blame them because personal data shouldn't be exposed to avoid invasion of privacy and other negative activities. But I read a story in the news that portrays the importance of KYC.

A girl was kidnapped and later murdered by her friend. The murderer contacted the girl's mother and asked for ransom. He requested that the funds be paid into his online betting account to avoid a trace. The mother paid some money into the account and was hoping that her daughter would be released.

When this murderer went to withdraw the money from his betting account, the gambling firm asked for more KYC which included the National Identification Number. Out of desperation and ignorance, the criminal uploaded the information.

Quote
Adeleye’s capture came through tracing his SportyBet account, where he had uploaded his National Identification Number.

Using the document he submitted, law enforcement agents were able to track him and he was finally arrested. His arrest was made easy because of a KYC request from the gambling platform.

Source: Why I killed 18-year-old female church member – OOU student

Justice is served. That is exactly the kind of thing that KYC was made for to hold folks accountable and also to have a clear representation of identity in order to do your bidding. Such an awful thing to have been done it’s frightening how evil can overtake a man and bring him to that point, it’s also quite odd the mention of this man being the victims “friend”
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UDKC - Ultimate Dick Kicking Championship on: September 29, 2024, 03:21:48 AM
When I was scrolling in X, I see an interesting video between two Asians kicking their balls by each other lol. Unfortunately I didn't find any more information about this tournament, only few videos captured by other people, but there are no official sites or something like that. Probably this sports is still "illegal" and they only do it with small group.

If you have a chance to be a part of this sports, would you want to participate? as we know many people said we're in recession and many people are in financial difficulty.

Professional boxer with 10 years experience.

Professional "dick kicker" with 10 years experience.

Ah now I’ve seen it all lol, this is truly gambling on whether or not you will have children in the future. I can’t for the life of me thing why anyone would ever do this, it’s even worse than those slapping competitions. Shall we have a contest to see who can endure the most shots to the foot? That’s all I can see here smh
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My poker freeroll experience. on: September 29, 2024, 03:19:27 AM
I began to play poker and as a beginner I won a lot of things (it ever happens), so as more I learned more I lost. I really was concentrating all my energy on being a better player, but I was in a cicle with "Playing >> Losing >> Studying >> Playing...". After losing a lot of money and a lot of time a lot of times even having a reazonable knowledge about the game, I've decided in first place stoping to waste money, because of this I began to play freerolls (Free tournaments of poker). People that know freerolls are scared on playing them, they say that playing them is impossible because freeroll players use one of the most important weapons of poker: The agressivity, they are suicide agressive players level. But freerolls give to you for free the first trainning: The patience (it's a profit). The second thing is that you can earn real money without put money in the game, you earn cents most of times, when you earn off course, but is better than losing tens of dollars maybe hundreds, then my money began to reverse his flow. Now I play cheapper games but I am satisfied because I can hit my chest and say "I am a winner player".

It seems like the appropriate measure taken in order to spare your future earnings and give yourself a chance to scratch that itch and make some other investments in its place. I wish you the best of luck with your endeavors OP
13  Economy / Gambling / Re: Games Binance on: September 29, 2024, 03:17:00 AM
Hello everyone who actually knows what happened to the Binance Playbread.com casino I liked their official games where you can play them give me a link if there is one

I didn't find any official announcement from Finance so I am sure this casino is a scam. I didn't even open the URL.

If Finance decides to step into casino market, it will be a big news and all marketing channels will be flooded with this news. So I am 100% sure that this is a scam casino. Binance is the world's largest crypto exchange and they have not declared anything about this. So avoid!

Yes definitely avoid like the plague OP you may have been fooled initially but it is clear that this casino was not related to Binance in any way whatsoever.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: pc got hacked and lost about 100k on: September 28, 2024, 03:57:19 AM
Hey guys my brother was a victim of mail phishing.
He clicked on the zip file which was included in the mail.

It probably took control of the pc and stole all his crypto.

I retraced hacker's transfers and I realized that he swapped all crypto to usdt and transferred all to okx exchange.
Do you think there's a possibility to freeze hackers okx account or something ?

For bitcoin, hacker just transferred to another bitcoin wallet and he holding it and doing nothing of it yet.

The answer is 99,99% no but if someone experienced  or heard something similar I'd be glad to hear.

I work with my brother. We worked very hard to get this money and I am really sad for him.

Very sorry to hear this OP. This is all too common these days these hackers are getting smarter with social engineering and AI, you’ve got to be very sure of who the links come from. I like to use browserling which is like a browser VM that allows you to check in a safe environment before compromising your own.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin History! Available on Amazon on: September 28, 2024, 03:56:31 AM
You have done such a brilliant job Tyke. So much effort went into this book as I have seen your threads over the years. I hope this book accomplishes all that you had in mind while writing. I will be recommending this book to my family, friends, colleagues, strangers and even enemies. Well done. I'll write a review on Amazon.

I would have to also chime in and say what an incredible job Tyke did on this! IF you look on his amazon store as well you may be surprised to see that he has also has about two dozen other books that he has also written mostly on other altcoins, well done m8!

Thank you very much  Cool i certainly have written other books over the last 10 years. Unfortunately, I'll be taking a rest from writing for an indefinite time.

Well then I guess that means you just saved the best for last! It’s very inspiring thing. Here I thought you were just a one off dude just making this book as a fun little project and come to find you are a very decorated crypto author! You might consider writing a blog.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Take your Bitcoin off Coinbase on: September 28, 2024, 03:46:55 AM
If you are asked which company or any organisation fits market manipulation the most I bet many people will say its BlackRock, including myself.

Today it seems I might not be completely right, BlackRock now requires Coin base to deposit Bitcoin directly on-chain within 12hrs of instruction after concerns were been raised that Coinbase is selling "paper BTC" to ETFs.

https://x.com/BTC_Archive/status/1838227189835108862

This is shocking, isn't it? Feels more like BlackRock wants more transparency and assurance, if BlackRock is really pushing this then they don't like the way that Coinbase have been acting.

Guys I think we should all be focused on Coinbase from now on, something could really go bad with Coinbase, if you have some BTC on this exchange it might be a good idea to move them out especially if you are not actively trading on the platform.

My advice doesn't end with Coinbase only though, stop leaving your coins on any centralised exchanges in general.

I’ve never liked coin base as a platform anyways nor have I used it in years. They are the number one custodian for black rock and the US government tho so they will definitely be shaping up even more so I’m sure of it.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Kamala Harris wins, Bitcoin will be fine. on: September 28, 2024, 03:40:47 AM
Some folks are really obsessed with the US election. I can understand it partly because Trump, as the first candidate ever in US election history (afaik) has taken a very pro-crypto stance.

But that doesn't mean that Bitcoin will not be fine if Kamala Harris wins. Even if she didn't reveal her stance on crypto/Bitcoin (yet) and is likely to continue the Biden approach which is more skeptical to "crypto", above all altcoins.

For those reasons:

1) Even in Biden's "anti-crypto" tenure Bitcoin has done well. Not only did the price rise, but ETFs were approved, even for Ethereum.

2) The US are already a leading Bitcoin/crypto country. They don't need Trump for that. In the mining sector, they are "the" single leading country. There are also several exchanges in the country. At least ~50 million American people hold crypto according to estimations.

3) Altcoins are far more affected by the SEC policy than Bitcoin. The SEC's actions under Gensler were mostly directed to altcoin exchanges, the "staking" business (which is not even really PoS-style staking but often a ponzi-like construction of some exchanges) and DeFi projects which are not really decentralized, like Uniswap.

4) The US are only 4% of the world population. Bitcoin is a global currency. In addition, as shown above, in the US population crypto has already a high adoption (almost 20% of the population having already bought or held crypto). The potential for future price growths lies mainly outside the US where adoption is often still much lower, even in rich countries in Europe for example.

These "projections" that Bitcoin will fall to 30.000 or so if Harris wins are, in my opinion, completely baseless and overestimating the US influence on Bitcoin.

Discuss & Disagree Smiley

I agree Bitcoin will be absolutely fine it’s America that will be screwed under Harris 😂 that retarded laughing cunt witch. Anywho the US will face a less friendly furthering of adoption to crypto and Bitcoin under her and Timmy. For the love of God though I hope Trump wins just so that we can all be better off including Bitcoin lol
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government of Bhutan Holds $828M in Bitcoin. on: September 28, 2024, 03:38:07 AM

The government of Bhutan currently holds $828 million in bitcoins.

A small country located in the eastern Himalayas with a population of less than 800,000. This country's government currently holds over $828 million in BTC.

"Bhutan has built bitcoin mining facilities in multiple locations, the largest of which is at the site of the now-defunct Education City project," Arkham Intelligence said.

Arkham also said the crypto intelligence firm explained that it was able to confirm the activity by reviewing satellite imagery and matching the timeline of onchain mining operations. "We were able to support the timeline of on-chain mining activity with time-lapse satellite images of the facility's construction," unlike most governments, Bhutan's BTC law enforcement does not come from seizing assets, but from bitcoin mining operations, which have dramatically increased since early 2023 increased.

As an investor who is eager to diversify his wealth to other areas what do you think about this, Building a hotel as means of investment or buying a bitcoins for a long term investment. If you are to choose among this options, which will you choose base on your personal view of things.
Share your idea and Help someone to think right.

You're talking two completely different extremes here. If you have enough money to build a hotel and invest in that then you shouldn't be consulting with the Bitcointalk forum members about this you would just go out and build a hotel AND buy bitcoin lol. Nobody just goes out and builds a hotel without extreme wealth and connections. Anyone right now can buy bitcoin. Buy bitcoin now so that when you are older say in 10-20 years time you can then build a hotel Cheesy
