2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - Alive and Kickin' on: September 25, 2017, 11:34:46 AM

Rest my case ... had people been reading my posts all along ...
JUBI WAS NOT REAL WORLD!!!

Glad I offloaded when YOBIT hit the market.

Development is predictably going in the same direction ... expect the same results.
Unfortunately, I feel they don't know the difference ... hence the problem.

And, on the website, "China Wakes up to Maxcoin" July 2017, should be replaced with,
"China Kills Maxcoin Zombie Dead!!!" September 2017.

Well, you've been vomiting your nonsense on this coin like a parasitic maniac for ages now, nobody cares or need you. Aren't you the one who told us...at least 5 times "I quit bla bla bla because bla" do it already, move on (deleting your old posts won't help you...)
Are we getting ride of you for good this time? if yes, Maxcoin can rejoice.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - Alive and Kickin' on: August 30, 2017, 11:35:53 AM
Hi maxcoinproject,

Thank you to alleviate the concern. I'm sure some help will come.

Most importantly let's see how the community and the market react

Good luck.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - Alive and Kickin' on: August 29, 2017, 12:20:59 PM

New v0.9.4 wallet is now available for download!  Find out more at https://blog.maxcoinhub.io.  Reboot and Refresh!

Did you take over max because it was a dead coin with a potential community ready to go, or did you get passed the torch from max himself - or whomever was running it for him? The development update didn't seem to cover that part.

I took over because I've always believed that Maxcoin has fantastic potential, has a great community, and was started by a couple of young developers who I think had the right idea and had their hearts in the right place, but fell short of seeing it through.  I even helped a bit three years ago, not with wallet development, but with building and hosting a Maxcoin chat room and coordinating and planning with Luke (the primary Maxcoin developer at that time).

At no point along the way did Keiser ask me to get involved.  Obviously, he's always been interested in Maxcoin but I've never seen any signs that he commissioned Maxcoin or dictated how it was managed.  He's asked questions and expressed support, but in my experience, there's never been anything more than that.  This is true even today.  My involvement with Maxcoin has been totally my own initiative, and honestly, we'll need more people to get involved to turn Maxcoin's potential into reality, but hopefully this is the first step down that path.

I have access to the maxcoinproject account on here, but wanted to at least get started by using my personal account first because I want it to be clear that we're more or less starting from scratch from a resources standpoint.

Please post questions, suggestions, and feedback so that we can help Maxcoin live up to its potential!

Hi goombaloon,

Why not joining the actual team and support them directly? , no doubt they could use a skilled hand, somehow taking over (right now) is not a good idea, since the coin just entered on the radar and got a spontaneous regain of interest, at best it will confuse everyone and kill the coin for good... . By the way using a side account, no offense, won't help either.

Tell us who you are, give us your vision, your logistic, your plans, and maybe...maybe it could work, until then even installing a wallet (sources?) coming from nowhere is a big no no for me.

I'm sure you understand the concerns Wink
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - Alive and Kickin' on: June 13, 2015, 10:07:53 PM

There is nothing monumental about another Maxcoin pump and dump.

What are you still doing here? mad because you sold all your MAX?.

Anyway, MAX passed the test of time like no other alt-coin and is doing pretty well (all that without keyser, he lost an opportunity here). With mcxnow out of the panorama, the coin can heal properly, it surely will.

Congrats to all in for the long run.

Again, a pile of C... . The "hack" was planned as a fail-safe to mitigate an eventual justice problem... (made by the owners and his team as a convenient cover-up story) , there is no fraudsters tale..., they deserve what's coming to them.

I responded to your other post.

Did you? have no trace of that. - Edit: yes indeed you did and i read it long time ago, had nothing particular to say about it.

Anyway, if you're really security oriented, you should know first hand, that an IP is not a reliable proof of source whatsoever (Proxy, vpn, bounce, bot, Corrupted servers, PC zombies etc...)

I'm not trying to argue more but, the point IS that Midas owner scammed these people, no matter the "tales".  Periode.

My opinion about the price drop:

The pool was mining scrypt coins (litecoin/doge.. w/e), the devs put their own hashing power in the pool to make it look like there are lots of miners since they get the ltc/doge anyway + get the midascoins which later gets dumped on the market (double profit).

* I've contacted coinsource - http://www.coinssource.com/ticket

Everything you need is on the original thread, since almost day 1. identity and everything else. Why do you think they closed it?

I also posted several warning on this thread too, but were removed by midascoin (self moderated thread).

@sluppy

They are behind a lot scamcoin (same groupe) and use always the same groundwork, scheme and pre-made documents/website, so they don't need a lot of resources neither time. The only thing they want is to catch your eyes with some fancy pdf and graphics to get the best of you. When they have their money, they say "bye bye" (a silent one) and go to the next coin (new name, new account, new pdf and site, same method). They do that on a big big scale 10/20/100 coins a month...and for sure don't care about crypto reputation at all.
He is probably laughing at you all right now, reading this thread and knowing that you are already mining his next coin.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - MANDATORY UPDATE 9.3.1 - Sept 12 on: October 11, 2014, 11:43:26 AM
I saw Rynomster chatting in SDC IRC today saying MAX was hiding a premine and has already moved on to another coin.  Is this true?

I'm wary of this coin and trust our developer Rynomster.

Spoetnik and Vlad, I see both of you dumbass trolls are here.

You're missing out on the SDC bandwagon, join us:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=745352

muddafudda, r3wt, spoetnik, vlad2vlad, etc.  you're all a bunch of morons...  Stop dealing with all of these shitcoins and get into a real coin.

"ANON"coin...what a joke....   Cry

Get in a real coin... https://bitcointalk.org/****

Said the guy who created an account just to troll and FUD other coins..., apart of that what are you doing exactly? oh yeah, trying to recruit for SDC, right?. Whatever you do, you do it wrong, insulting others won't get you far, neither will help you on your "crusade".

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LIVE|MidasCoin|Backed|New Scrypt PoM|ATM card|Referral|NO IPO|UNIQUE on: October 07, 2014, 08:15:19 AM
I wouldn't call it a scam "yet". Unless they failed to deliver orders in appropriate time. Thats why I ask if other people made any orders. My pending order still have about 2 weeks time for processing (saw somewhere 7-10 days processing) if they don't count weekends. However, I believe something has to be done to clarify backing of their currency and bolster trust. If this whole thing is a scam then they probably won't care. But if its legit, the current price on bittrex will drive them to bankruptcy if everyone orders gold off them. Or maybe they believe it is good promotion and have tons of spare gold to give?

The entire thing is only here to buy them some time to exploit your hashrate.
He is long gone, his pocket full of Legit Scryptcoin (LTC or valuable) surely thank you for your free hashrate, you've been warned enough (cf the old locked thread) and as usual some try and cry. Maybe next time you'll pay attention to what some says or investigate a little bit more (or not).
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - MANDATORY UPDATE 9.3.1 - Sept 12 on: October 04, 2014, 01:42:50 PM
Vlad2Vlad is correct, why support Maxcoin when Startcoin is clearly superior; no need to divide support.

Just the premine itself, justify a big NO NO, whatever purpose it's supposed to cover. So, no thank you.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - MANDATORY UPDATE 9.3.1 - Sept 12 on: October 03, 2014, 04:52:53 AM

I don't get it, why then has start coin gone up 5 fold in 1 week while max coin has been dropping?  Sounds to me like start coin will be the real coin being used.  What am I missing?

Thx!

Check out Keisers Twitter profile for your answer.

Most informed Keiser supporters dumped Maxcoin for Startcoin already.

Startcoin/Startjoin is Keisers baby. Maxcoin is Luke's abomination.

Numbers says otherwise, StartCoin is a fail. The real Max Keiser user base is in Maxcoin.
Now that's pretty simple if you ask me (not a fanboy here, just the cold truth), 2 solutions are possible:

1. Keiser realise it and focus properly on MAX and StartJoin may have a chance to live.
2. Keiser doesn't, then he lose Maxcoin, StartCoin, StartJoin and his credibility in the cryptoworld.

His choice really.

Logs of my chat with Icanprogram:
http://pastebin.com/TVAXxY07

also, a note after my rather large notice to him:
<9.20.14><16.52.32.pm> <icanprogram> I am not in a discussion with you, and I am not part of the midascoin company

Scamcoin is a scam.

And if anyone wants to agree with me, please join me in that channel (#bountyhunterXX) for a 'third party' review.

It should be noted that icanprogram stated that it is now centralized (as if it wasn't already.)

You did a great job too. As said earlier in that thread, Icanprogram is only a dev, "the car manufacturer", paid by Midas to do and manage the technical part, what Midas LTD do with it, is not his concern, definitely not the one to blame (My POV). Icanprogram know the coin is centralized and so are we (even if he struggle to not bite the hand who pay him 90€/h).

Anyway, the Midas guy have no word, we knew that since day one.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About the MidasCoin locked thread & New Thread on: September 20, 2014, 05:15:51 AM
I'm still getting emails from Midascoin though I told them not to spam my email.  Useless scam coin with zero value.
About the spam, yes they still do it..., collected from who know where..., they have no words or limits. The interesting part is when they'll bail out (without paying the 10TC they owe, or buying back the coins as they said), the email they collected from the pool will probably be their payback. Be ready to see tones of unwanted emails soon.

The bright and funny part is, they collected and spammed the wrong emails from the start, the DB they got was labelled "Warning! don't use these".
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About the MidasCoin locked thread & New Thread on: September 19, 2014, 08:48:19 PM
So let's summarize a little for the sake of it:

- Totally Centralized coin.
- 1% Transaction Tax! (Even worst than premine)
- They use 90%+ of your Hashpower to mine some random coin with value (LTC and other scrypt, but basically LTC).
- Then They Pay you back with a coin Midascoin, with no market value (at best 1/2 of the value, you would have if you were mining LTC directly).
- With 1 market/exchange, 1 Pool, only till the end of time (theirs of course).

Something missing?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About the MidasCoin locked thread & New Thread on: September 19, 2014, 03:39:36 AM
Quote from the midascoin thread #67:

I have been given early preliminary access to the code for Midascoin. The following is my review:

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA512

Verify this review at https://keybase.io/verify

midascoin (relaunch) https://github.com/MidasPaymentLTD/midascoin

Heritage: LTC (confirmed by coin author)

NOTE: This coin contains radical features. No review by me is guaranteed to be 100% accurate and catch all possible problems.

Problems:

* MAJOR: This coin is centralized by design. This means, if you don't trust the coin authors, then you should not trust this coin. They have complete control over the blockchain, and can attack it at will if desired.
** This is achieved by requiring an RSA signature on each block accepted into the network.
* MODERATE: Signatures sign an SHA1 hash of the block. SHA1 is not recommended for any cryptographic uses due to known theoretical weaknesses.
** This probably couldn't be attacked even with known collisions because it relies on sha256 as well
* MINOR: floating point operations used in protocol critical code

Notes:

Despite the complete control of the blockchain the founders have, this actually eliminates many common attacks, such as double spends and orphan blocks.
The coin authors can do all these attacks, but no one else can.
The other big concern is that if the key is ever leaked, a signficant amount of damage could be done and would require a retroactive hard fork to fix. Clients have basic fork detection, but nothing that prevents a huge fork take over.

Blockchain not analyzed. This is based on preliminary code. Commit hash f1a3d1f1e996ce9b4fc753bd814ec5b1ecd1474f

This could've been kept random if script parsing (for the output address) would've been done.
- -                        // Insert change txn at random position:
- -                        vector<CTxOut>::iterator position = wtxNew.vout.begin()+GetRandInt(wtxNew.vout.size()+1);
- -                        wtxNew.vout.insert(position, newTxOut);
+                        // Note: This makes change obvious, which leads to loss of privacy.
+                        // However, it's necessary to make the distinction here, since not making it would mean the change would be taxed too.
+                        // Insert change txn at the end
+                        wtxNew.vout.push_back(newTxOut);

at which Midas answered #68:

Seem  that customers and exchange can sleep with the reopening.
No double spend anymore with crypto using #midascoin, never again.

I think, again, by saying that, you (Midas) miss all the point of cryptocurrency: No trust and decentralized is the rule. as pointed numerous times in the old thread.

earlz did a pretty nice review.

@Multicoin:

I claimed the 10 BTC too some few posts before you did, proving the "centralized part" with another manner, of course the 10 BTC was a no show, pretending that they have no premined to pay with. Well i wasn't expecting them to be honest and pay anyway. That prove exactly what you can expect from Midas.

@ocminer

Yes, 90€ an hour is something, but for 50€ they will use your name too...as they did in their previous thread..."We are legit, because a well known user worked for us" (Icanprogram didn't signed for that). daaaaa
He did sign with it.
Both of the 'whitepapers' on the Midas site were written by him.
The block tax and the transaction tax.

Yes he did indeed, more like a technical howto included in the "prog" package, i guess.

*Keep in mind that the new midascoin thread is self moderated, a lot of messages disappeared.

If dev is closing main thread it smells. I hope they won't scam others in near future.

Sound like they are still trying to. They reopened another thread heavily self moderated where unwanted messages are deleted...(a way to get ride of every comment on the old thread). Feel free to post here, if you need to, nothing will be deleted.

Cheers.

To all investors, miners, read that thread carefully before investing your time and money on Midascoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=760755.840
