1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WINZ.IO refusing to pay 1618 ADA($580) in winnings on: July 07, 2024, 09:51:09 PM
I have never had any problems when making withdrawals at Winz, also I have never even been asked nor do the KYC on my own initiative.
I think the KYC is not mandatory there, and that is why their support told you that you can deposit and play even though your KYC process has not been completed yet.
OP, do you bet on sports or casinos? and do you play with raw deposit or deposit bonus?
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have some people used casinos to hide the origin of funds? on: July 07, 2024, 06:30:03 PM
Laundering large amounts of crypto at once through online crypto casinos is definitely not possible nowadays, unless there is a certain deal with those casinos.
Deposits above $10k will definitely be monitored and many casinos or 3rd party payment providers have used AML software, not to mention increasingly strict KYC policies and wagering requirements before able to withdraw.
Before 2015, to laundering large amount of crypto would have been done through exchanges, not casinos. It is too risky to deposit and store large amounts of crypto in casinos which is can be considered to be illegal because most of them do not have a license at that time
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this true or some superstitious believe about gambling? on: July 06, 2024, 09:19:51 PM
The only strategy to avoid becoming addicted to gambling is to know how to control your delusional mind. If you can control that, I don’t think you will feel any signs of greediness that will make you feel like it is your responsibility to win any bet that you put in and will make you accept the fact that even if you lose, you won’t continue playing.
Lol the thought of having to control our delusion is a funny thing but actually a harder thing to do.

We can be aware of our delusions but sometimes we cannot control our brain and hope blooms in our lives. Especially when we are in a tight situation in our life. Hope is what will keep us to keep going.

Controlling the brain is actually very hard to do, but what I want you to understand is that in any situation in this life, you most likely have a decision to make, and if others can control their brains, then why won’t you ask yourself this question: Why can you do that?

If you keep telling yourself that such things are hard to accomplish, then you will never have the courage to do them because when you rely on hope and luck, sometimes you will suffer a long way because instead of making a good decision, you end up waiting to see what will happen. So I will encourage you to always believe in yourself and keep in mind that you will be able to do it.
When we gamble, most of the time we make decisions based on emotions, especially when we are in a losing position.
Regarding controling our delusional mind when we gamble to avoid addiction, I can say its easy in theory but difficult in practice, depending on the situation and conditions we face at that time.
Strict money management is the best way to avoid gambling addiction, and I think controlling our delusional mind is more appropriate for those who want to stop gambling.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do feel for an own-goal letting to your bet loss? on: July 06, 2024, 05:16:37 PM
This is gambling and football, and practically, anything can happen just like own games and may the soul of that player shot dead rest in peace and I hope the culprit gets really penalized and this is one of the height gambling can get people especially when they gamble with money they can’t afford to loss.
I don’t know how to put this whole talks but personally, I think am own goal are mostly out of mistakes and no one should act silly be blamed for cases and scenarios like that.
There those that have taken gambling to another different level entirely that they assume it to be a means of making or doubling their money, and as a result they go on investing huge money in bets. I mostly think of those category of gamblers as reckless people with money. Maybe, they assume football to be simple to play on the field as we watch it on our TV screen, if football was that easy to play as they think, why don't they would have participated in it. And yes, from the whole story as I know, they were all convicted to serve their time.
The perpetrator was a drug baron's bodyguard and was indeed arrested, but not with the mastermind/powerful drug lords who lost a lot in that match, an ordinary person or a die hard fan would not have gone that far.
As we know in 1994, the cartels in Colombia was still strong even though Escobar died in 1993 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andr%c3%a9s_Escobar

I agree with what Obari said, even though it rarely happens, own goals are something that can be said to be normal in football, and it's part of the game.
And if that makes our bet lose, whether we like it or not, we have to accept it and move on.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About betting on live events. on: July 06, 2024, 04:13:31 PM
With the parameters you mentioned your odd will be around 1.25 or highest 1.35 odds which is a low profits if the bet won at the end, but note that in this approach you will have to stake high amount in other to come up with a significant rewards,  so the lower your risk the lower your rewards,  but in terms of winning chances,  you have higher chance of winning the best since the team already lead with 2 goals in second half, it be hard for the opposition to equelize and possibly win the match.

So the chances to win with this approach is high even though you have lower rewards due to the odds availability.
It looks like it will be lower than that, maybe only between 1.1x to 1.15x, it will be very rare to get odds above 1.2x in a match like that.
It's ok If we only occasionally bet on matches like that, it is profitable even if it's only a little, but if we bet on every matches like that, I think it will actually make us lose in the long run.
Losing in 1 match means we have to win in 5 other matches, so if the OP intends to bet on every matches like that - it's better to consider it again because many people have tried that strategy and it didn't work in the long run.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copa America 2024 Prediction Thread on: July 05, 2024, 07:40:45 PM
~~~
Agree with all you said, Argentina played very badly and Ecuador played well, it's really interesting to see nowadays small teams can give a fight with the top teams, it's not only happen in Copa America, but it also happen in Euro.
Venezuela has a high chance to beat Canada, Venezuela haven't lose in group stage, on the other hand Canada isn't that strong too.
Are you watching the full time match between Argentina vs Ecuador?
I watched the match from the first minute until the last penalty goal scored by Otamendi. Argentina played well in that match, Ecuador also tried their best. I'm not saying Argentina's performance was so bad that they deserved to lose, but of course they won't always be able to control the pressure well when the opposing team applies high pressure.
Yep, its not true that Argentina played very badly yesterday, but it is true that some of the Argentina players did not play as usual.
Argentina strategy could not develop because Ecuador played extraordinary yesterday, they had to play aggressively rather than just defending against Argentina because they will definitely lose if they only play defensively since the beginning.
Actually, I hope Enner doesn't miss his penalty,  the match will definitely be more intense and Argentina will definitely play aggressively after 1-1.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Work Now May Not Work Tomorrow on: July 05, 2024, 06:17:22 PM
I always tell and advise my friends who are new to gambling to never look for a pattern in luck-based games because there is none even the ever-popular martingale is not a guarantee that you can find a pattern that will give you a continuous win.
Not all games of gamling can be won continuously no matter how well you apply patterns. Therefore, you should not gamble regularly for a long time in the hope of winning something big or continuously winning. Gambling should always be done in a limited amount which can save you from its addiction. You should never encourage someone to game, no matter how close they are to you. Because it is very risky which can completely destroy a person. It's a bad addiction so it's foolish to think yourself clever here. no one can use any tricks to fool the gaming site or gaming algorithm
I didn't read OP advising his friends to gamble, OP only advised his friends who is new to gambling to never look for a pattern in luck-based games.
And that advice is good, because there is no such thing as a pattern - Believing in pattern is a gambler's fallacy, and making decisions/bets based on past results will only make us even more curious when we lose and careless when winning.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Season on: July 05, 2024, 05:13:22 PM
There are still shortcomings that Guardiola must improve next season, I think their defense line is still not that strong, they need to recruit new players who can guard the back line at Manchester City so that it is much stronger next season, another thing is also Manchester City's front line Don't rely too much on Haaland there, they need players on the front lines who are truly productive and can be goal machines, the competition between the two will definitely be very tight, which is why Guardiola will avenge his failure in the UCL last season. Mbappe's joining will also make things difficult for Manchester City next season unless they also make changes to their main squad.
  • Guardiola buy young defenders:
As one of the most favorite coaches will say, defenders win trophies and titles for the club. Any club that has good defense line will definitely do well in a particular season. However, some clubs do not depend too much on their defense because their attackers can be able to score a lot of goals. This was the fate of Liverpool some seasons ago and even Manchester city. When they scored an average of 3 goals every match, it will be difficult for their opponents to equalize.
  • Guardiola to sign another world class striker:
You said this will bring competition and improve performance. It is right, but not many world class strikers will want to be a second option.
Even though Mancity has money to buy a good and expensive players, I doubt they will be able to do that, because there is a possibility that Mancity will be punished for breaking financial fair play rules soon.
If there is a good player who wants to join Mancity, it will only be with a 1 year contract or with a clause that they can leave the club if Mancity is relegated, etc.
In fact, many Mancity players want to leave the club after next season, especially after Guardiola is not there.
And I doubt that Mancity will be able to dominate in the Champions League next season, there are too many non-technical issue that will disturb the players and manager concentration in the next season.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Practical methods to help addicted gamblers(2). on: July 05, 2024, 04:02:53 PM
This is why I put forward this advice: before you advise someone to quit gambling as a gambler, you have to hide your gambling activities from them so it doesn't look like you are advising them to do something that you yourself cannot do.
n fact, showing him how to become a responsible gambler like you will bring better results because it is a real example.
If you advise other people to stop gambling and lie that you don't or have stopped gambling, most of them won't listen to your advice, we know how stubborn a gambler can be when someone advises him to stop.
If you also notice that these people are gambling as a source of income, you can help them find other, more reliable sources of income while advising them that gambling is not a source of income so that they no longer see gambling in that light.
is is indeed the best solution and the most hoped for by many gamblers who have financial issue because they cannot get a job or/and often lose when gambling.
The problem is that not everyone can do that because it is not easy to get a job nowadays.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The "Scatter" word getting more popular on: July 04, 2024, 11:12:17 PM
Here where I live we don't hear this word "scatter" related to gambling matters. It's probably a regional hype from the area where you live. Not that these games change very much from one place to another, it's just that the catching words and phrases are different depending where you are. The most catching game here promoted by influencers is "tiger's game". That is a pretty popular concept of gambling everyone is aware about, including the ones who aren't gamblers, because the media has been talking a lot about it since last year.
I guess you must be from South America regions where games/slots from the PG Soft provider are very popular there, while that provider is less popular in the US, Europe and Asia.
Scatter became popular here in Asia because more people, especially gamblers, prefer to mention scatter instead of slots to avoid negative judgments from other people - because gambling is still prohibited in many countries in Asia.
So much propaganda does bring consequences, like awaking the interest from the young ones for these popular gambling games. Children see their parents and relatives playing, so they feel encouraged to repeat the same actions of the adults. However, they don't have money to gamble like the adults, so I don't see this as a big issue at all. Children will talk to each other about this matter, as everyone else is doing, but they won't have access to gambling, anyway.
In some Asian countries, especially in countries that prohibit all forms of gambling, anyone can play, including children, because there are many illegal online casinos with a very small minimum deposits, and there is no such thing as KYC.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copa America 2024 Prediction Thread on: July 03, 2024, 11:21:10 PM
In the first half, Colombia conceded 1 goal, through a free kick taken by Raphinha, and fortunately Daniel Munoz's goal managed to make the score equal. In the second half, attack after attack between the two teams occurred, but did not produce any results until the match was finished. This made Colombia the winner of Group D with 7 points, while Brazil became the runner up with 5 points, so that both teams managed to qualify for the quarter-finals.
Brazil team is not performing well this season, usually they draw with Colombia team. If the Brazil team has performed so poorly against ordinary teams, then how will they win the next matches. Such a poor performance rule should never dream of a final, today's game wasted enough chances, especially Rodrigo and Vinicius Jr. they didn't perform well from key points where the Brazil team failed.
Brazil has been like this since from the start of the competition although sometimes the whole formula kinda works for them and they won that match with good performance but there overall performance is still way low to the minimal and it's just like what their one time legend said which is about this particular Brazilian squad actually being the weakest he has encountered so far.
Brazil team performance was very poor last year, and Brazil new coach just joined last January. Dorival still needs time to restore the real Brazil performance.
I think there has been improvement even though Brazil's performance is still below the actual standards of Brazil's game.
Even though they couldn't win against Colombia, they still qualified for the Quarterfinals, and no matter how bad they are, Brazil is still one of the candidates to win this Copa
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TENNIS MATCH FIXING - LOOKING FOR BETTORS on: July 03, 2024, 08:31:49 PM
This is definitely a scam. If you have information of a fixed match, you will not share it in a forum like here rather you would have taken a sold the gadget you are using to post this or loan to become rich. If the option of loan did not work, you would have gone to your friends and family and make them rich. I have seen many people claiming to have fixed match but they all end up as scam. I will not advise anyone to collaborate with you on this because you do not have what you claim.
Every sportsbook limits amount you can place, especially on ITF it’s almost impossible for me to profit betting alone and paying the player thousands of dollars.
What if someone account got banned and his deposit is confiscated for betting on a match like that? will you be responsible? Certainly not.
What if the match results do not match the information you provided? will you be responsible? Certainly not.
What if your information happens to be true? Will you ask for a commission? 100%
From all the scenarios above, you will not lose anything except time.
Mannn, this year is 2024, not 2004 - and you still hope that there are still people who believe in cheap tricks like that?
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you recognize a match fixing? on: June 30, 2024, 05:48:34 PM
Match fixing can happen if the organizers play with people who supervise the League and they have special positions but it is quite risky when it is known to the public. In the second division of the Spanish League there was a match fixing if I'm not mistaken and I don't really remember what year it happened. Now in the era of modern football it is difficult to do because supervision is getting tighter so if it is found out it will impact the club with very severe sanctions.
The drama of match fixing can vary such as betting or for teams that have already made sure to qualify for the next phase. Now we rarely find match fixing issues because league supervision is so tight and well coordinated.
Nope, you are wrong, match fixing still exists and the number is increasing every year.
If you say that match fixing is rare in the Segunda Division, yes that must be true because the supervision for Laliga and the Segunda Division will definitely be very strict.
Match fixing happens a lot in tennis, table tennis and volleyball because it is easier to organize compared to football where there are 11 people on each team.
Sportradar Integrity Services annual report: Based on the monitoring of approximately 850,000 events and matches across 70 sports, the report highlights a total of 1,329 suspicious matches in 2023, occurring in 11 sports in 105 countries.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the reputation or guarantee of casino sites being advertised here? on: June 30, 2024, 04:27:33 PM
I am on a new phase in gambling by redirecting my gambling friends on casino sites they should rely on while gambling.
Casino sites being speculated in this gambling board has been said to be legit and remains focus to its reputation.
But yet, I am a little feared but if I may ask... What would be the consequence if a Casino site mentioned In this platform tends to bridge their respective reputation?
In such contrary disappointment, who is right for gamblers to channel their blames to after trusted the casino due to the fact that the bitcointalk gambling board made it believe that casino companies being mentioned here are reputable and trustworthy?
Does the casino itself worth the blame or bitcointalk forum is to be blamed for convincing bettors to accept any advertised gambling sites to be legit and unwavery to bridge their reputation?
If casinos cheat us, then we should blame the casinos, not bitcointalk.
Bitcointalk allows casino owners/managers to promote their platform here with signature campaigns for free without any fees.
However, that doesn't mean that this forum must be responsible and should be blamed if in the end some casinos commit fraud.
Another example, we often see casino ads when watching sports on TV and we decide to play at that casino because we feel the platform is trustworthy.
But it turns out that we were scammed by that casino, are we going to blame the TV station that broadcasts the match? certainly not
I needed to know these so that it does not feel like I am misleading my friends. Behold, they have been disappointed by so many casino companies by their disrepute.
If your friend frequently experience problems with many casinos, then you must know first what is the real problem between your friends and that casinos.
Normally, legit users should not often have problems with many casinos
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling platform require wager on first deposit before withdrawal on: June 29, 2024, 09:19:06 PM
If the requirement is a part of ToS you have to accept then it's legal.
IMO this is a part of AML requirements. They probably had people deposit money just to wash it and withdraw without wagering.
The way I see it, it's not going to change much if you are to wager 5 times before withdrawing, because you can do it with a fraction of the money, but if you are to wager the whole amount 5 times then it's a scam. Imagine that you have $1k and you put that on a sports match that you win and now you have $2k and can't withdraw because they want you to wager that initial 1k 4 times more. Chances are you will lose everything.
Makes me wonder if in such situation you'd be allowed to withdraw profit, so 1k, leaving another 1k to wager 4 times. If not - it's a scam.
Beside to prevent money laundering, I think it might be their policy to prevent abusers/fraudsters from signing up and making the first big deposit.
It is possible that these abusers made their first deposit with a small amount, but the platform may already know who they are after making the first deposit/bet and they can take further precautions such as limiting the bet limit, etc.
And if that happens, then the abusers will definitely not want to deposit and play on that platform again.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: June 29, 2024, 12:29:01 PM
Arsenal has been looking for a striker who can be of a great use for them next season. Recently their target is said to be Osimhen.
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/arsenal-transfer-osimhen-garcia-sambilokonga-33121402
It would be a wonderful transfer honestly.  Smiley  Osimhen is one of the most talented strikers available in today's football. We have all seen what he was capable of under a solid management of Spalletti. I don't have any doubt about him with Arteta either. Because Arteta is a manager who handles young talents like him quite well. We have witnessed that so far by their being very competitive for a Premier League title for two years.  Smiley
He would cost Arsenal a lot of money though but sacrifices need to be made for greater success.
I never wanted him to join Arsenal truthfully due to some personal reasons but look at him, linked to Arsenal, if they get this done, then next season, Victor Oshime will definitely help Arsenal win the Premier League Competition for the first since 2004.
The problem is that Arsenal are known to be quite stingy in the transfer market, and Osimhen price is around €100M.
Apart from needing a striker, Arsenal also has to buy a reliable goalkeeper and a good defensive midfielder while Arsenal transfer budget for the next season is probably only around €140M or less than that.
So if Osimhen's price is under €100M, 99% we will see him playing for Arsenal in the next season.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GambleAware wants Sports Gambling Promotion and Sponsorship moderated or... on: June 28, 2024, 08:34:40 PM
This has actually been frequently proposed by several parties since the beginning of 2000, but FIFA does not seem to care about it.
In 1986 FIFA banned all advertising related to the tobacco industry, and since then many sponsors have come from the gambling industry.
If a ban on sponsorship from the gambling industry is approved, it will not have a major impact on rich clubs, but it will bring financial problems to small clubs around the world.
In this internet era, they should be worried about social media/influencers/streamers, because they are the ones who actively invite people to gamble.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copa America 2024 Prediction Thread on: June 28, 2024, 04:08:28 PM
Brazil VS Paraguay
Tomorrow will be an important match between Brazil vs Paraguay. In Group D, Brazil is 2nd in the points table with 1 point after a draw against Costa Rica in the first match. On the other hand, Paraguay lost against Colombia and is at number 4 in the points table. A win against Paraguay is crucial for Brazil to qualify for the next round. In the last five matches between Paraguay and Brazil, Brazil won 4 matches and drew 1 match. Brazil's performance is not very good at present, hope Brazil will try to play well tomorrow. I think Brazil will win tomorrow. Let's see how well Brazil can do tomorrow.
Brazil will definitely win against Paraguay, Paraguay performance was bad when against Colombia and they were lucky enough to only lose by 1 goal difference (2-1).
Meanwhile, Brazil could actually win against Costarika if Brazil strikers played more calmly and patiently when facing Costarica, who played totally defensive.
Brazil players will definitely not repeat the same mistakes when facing Paraguay later, my prediction is that Brazil will win 2-0/3-0.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bank teller stole $28,000 from customers to feed her gambling addiction on: June 27, 2024, 09:23:04 PM
I am not buying the story of gambling addiction. The manner of the theft looks way too calculated and the fact that she was able to repay the entire amount stolen when caught doesn't suggest she was a gambling addict. This looks like a ploy the defense team is using to get a lesser sentence.
On the other side, this case shows how unreliable the centralized banking system truly is. You cannot verify and have to trust the system which is run by humans.
True, the perpetrator might tries to position herself as a victim due to her gambling addiction with the aim of getting leniency.
But it requires strong evidence, her lawyer must be able to provide evidence such as CCTV from land based casino or other proof that show the flow of money was actually used for gambling,
The internal supervision of the bank was also not good because this case was only discovered after there was a report from the victims and after the perpetrator has stopped working in that bank
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: basketball or football: Which sport is more profitable in relation to sports bet on: June 27, 2024, 05:22:18 PM
He said that basketball is more profitable than football because of this.
Every now and then I make some football bets, betting on my club that I support for now.
However, I don't watch basketball and I don't know the basic rules of this sport, despite it being fun.
In gambling you don't choose game to bet on because it is profitable. Normally gambling is a game for fun, you bet because of the love you have for a particular sport and the knowledge which you have for the sport, all these are what makes gambling to be very more interesting . If football is your favourite game in sport and the only sport game you follow up then this should be the only game that you need to play gambling on, same thing with any other sport game.
It is wrong for one to be thinking of game to play on just to make profit, everyone expects to win in gambling but taking it as something that can generate money for you as income is wrong.
That's right, because with odds/handicap the chances of winning in all sports bets are the same.
Whether it is easy or not to predict the outcome of a match depends on our experience and knowledge of a particular sport, but still that is not a guarantee either that we will often win.
In the end it all depends on our own luck, that's why we call it gambling.
