How come it looks Solar is slowly dying? No volume, no real news, no (media)attention... If you don't search for it, you don't know about it.
I have Solar since 2014, sold a few in 2018. This is the first time i wonder if things are going to be okay again.
(Not to mention the wallet, if you don't open it once in a while, you have to sync it for weeks if your unlucky, before you can reach your coins)
me too and I feel the same way. It is kind of sad, I was a big believer and held though the Jan 2018 run up and crash.

SMS code didn't work when trying to sign up. Just says "something went wrong."

mac wallet won't sync and addnode method not supported. How to sync?
Also, energycoin.conf file on OP, what is the exact filename? capitalization matters here. EnergyCoin.conf? Energycoin.Conf (as listed?).

I like this coin, it's got great name space and since it's pretty much already mined out* we could potentially do some interesting things with it. Does anyone have some interest in that? The swap(?) didn't work out so the idea would be to use the existing coin. Perhaps pre-buy some and operate a non-profit incentive system for green production.
The real key here is the environmental imperative, that's the main driver. There's carbon accumulating in the atmosphere, we don't really know, beyond a vague warming and the existence of accumulating total atmospheric energy, what's going to happen, and there's not a lot of good solutions on the table to deal with it. You can combine those two things together (blockchain transactions and an environmental need) into a powerful social group, IMO.
*(the cap is 16B coins correct?)
So that's a "no" or what?

More funds lead to further development and maybe give us something new that wasn't announced in the thread. I can imagine the team having some ideas that can't be developed due to financial reasons. So, let’s help them
That's not the case at all, RBY has a growth fund which hasn't been touched since its launch https://www.rubycoin.org/about. Quite impressive that the premine or growth fund has never been dumped on the market since Rubycoin launched in April 2014. Also the new Rubycoin exchange is looking great: https://blocknado.com/exchange/btc-rbythis has always been a good, and under-appreciated, coin. Dev integrity is 90% of alt-coins, IMO.

revitalization: doesn't seem to be much interest

That seems odd since people with large wallets were causing problems with forking. Being the first person besides Chris to register a solar system with Green, I hold a decent chunk myself and I think I stopped staking around 3 weeks ago.....at least until wallet issue is resolved. Up until then I was only staking 1 million coins for couple weeks prior......so I'm not sure how people could be staking those really large wallets without causing problems or forking constantly.
What issues are you having? I just downloaded a mac wallet, grabbed some nodes, synced a fresh blockchain from scratch and caught up to same block number on the explorer (and did a successful coin send). Note that a fresh download sync still hits "snags," where the blockcount simply stops increasing (generally between blocks ~90,000 and 250,000). The reason for this is beyond my technical experience. However, the temporary workaround is to simply close and reopen the wallet when it occurs. This is a known bug for the fix-it list. During my sync I had to close/reopen three times.

Wasn't this coin GRE on coinmarketcap a few days ago? I'd swear i saw it, but I am unable to find it now.
I contacted support and it looks like they fixed this and delisted the bogus exchange (yobit) from the data.

yes, the V2 wallet captured all of the tx's from the V1 wallet in block 0. You need to dump the privkey in V1 and import into V2. The V2 wallets are here (these are latest V2.1): http://www.grcoin.com/downloads/do you need the V1 wallet?

there seems to be interest to revitalize. Do you guys really want to revitalize? How are you willing to help?

GreenCoin, also known as GRN uses Scrypt algorithm to secure transactions and it has 100000000 total coins that are not fully pre mined. For more information see list bellow. Name: GreenCoin (GRN) Algorithm: sha256 Proof type: PoW Total coin supply: 100.000.000 https://github.com/CryptorClub/GreenCointhis was a different project hat wound down in 2013 if I recall. Not related to this project.

solarcoin is doing well. This has been a good coin for several years now. If the names "rockrabbit" and/or "fabula" mean anything to you, then you know how far back that goes... we need more solar in the world and the rate we need to be adding it needs to accelerate greatly.

I am sure that quantum tech is going to explode sooner than you think.
This year already, we will see great improvements in that area.
I bought 3000 QRL and I believe that it will rise between 20x and 50x before the end of 2018.
Cheers.
I expect this project will become a leader in it's category: ultimate security platform. And like other category leaders -- and I'm thinking of Monero to privacy -- the price rise should follow similar trajectories. (In the year past, XMR rose 2529%. A similar rise in QRL would put it at just over $67.) Predicting price is always hard. I think you just follow the project and let price be price. But always hopeful of course.

I imported a wallet with XRP into gatehub and it shows 0 coins. Searching the "r" address shows coins on the explorer so they weren't stolen.
Detail of previous steps: bought XRP 5 years ago (probably went into a ripple trade account directly). Imported ripple trade to gatehub by 2015 as required. Gatehub account shows 0 coins and attempting to import the wallet via secret key says the account is already there.
Googled the problem and don't see a lot of other hits. Also, I cannot verify the account via there 6 step process because on Step 2 they want to enter a phone for SMS text and then never send the text (or my phone rejects international texts, but I don't think so). Tired opening a support ticket but others on the internet say support is slow/non-existent.
Is anyone else having significant trouble with Ripple/Gatehub? Don't want to lose the coins / not sure what to do. I usually figure these things out on my own and don't bug the message boards but stumped on this one.

What happen to SLR?
Someone (aka Solarcoiner) dumped all his belongings on buy support to exit. And told that SLR will never be over 10K sat forever. What a curse! Let's make SLR 10K sat over again! ...over 100,000 sat... FTFY

We are primarily making a business plan and the dicussion is ongoing. We believe that the system will only work if we managed it professionally.
as opposed to simply starting a new coin?
