1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers👉Group Stage on: June 15, 2024, 05:38:53 PM
Croatia didn't start the game badly indeed.
I was expecting a good fight from Croatia, but they are not playing up to the mark. It looks like the 2nd half is boring. Still no score and significant attack too. Hopefully there will be one or two more goals. Let's see.

/*edit/*
Missed penalty but scored but then VAR, no goal. Nothing is going in Croatia's favor.
2  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BITZ casino stole my 3912 USDT on: June 15, 2024, 05:35:13 PM
Pretty sure that the casino will not give any info about how the OP got the judgment from their risk management because "it will be used to abused their platform" if it will be public, something like that. Their judgement is always final unless someone mediatate in between.
There is always two side of a story and unfortunately many users on the forum especially the newbie members who are creating scam accusations are not always true as they like to say. They do not describe the whole story. I don't know BITZ, never checked their platform but if this is an establish business then I don't think without any good reason they will try to upset a customer.

It seems no more people care about merit or you all became master in exchanging secret messages LOL
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers👉Group Stage on: June 15, 2024, 03:03:11 PM
Now the match has entered the second half of extra time. The score is still 1-2 in favor of Switzerland. but moments before the match finished Switzerland increased their lead, now the score was 1-3 and Hungary had to admit Switzerland's superiority in their first match.
Switzerland could score one more goal. Both strikers were able to score though. Hungary were better team than the 1st half.

1.91 for Spain while Croatia are given 4.40. Isn't the gap of odds too high you think?  Huh
When I see such odds, I think of a draw match. We could see the first draw of Euro 2024.

It seems there are no specific reason given except the topic about risk management.  Did you tell us the whole story?
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers👉Group Stage on: June 15, 2024, 02:20:54 PM
If Hungary does not improve in the second half or even tends to play roughly, I think Switzerland will get another goal.
I have started gambling from the first match. It did not look like there will be a both team to score in the Germany vs Scotland especially after the sent off. But in a match where goals were looking easy, one or two slip was expected. I am glad Scotland scored.

Swiss are in my winning list in the match however I have another both team to score. Let's hope a good comeback from Hungary.

I am now paid for the work I do on Bitcointalk.
Mission accomplished. Congratulation PowerGlove. I am looking forward to more improvement of the forum features.
8  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽️ SportBet.one - decentralized sports-betting platform ⭐️ Honest reviews ⭐️ on: June 15, 2024, 02:10:56 PM
I was a bit confused to think it's sportsbet.io LOL. You guys been busy a few years ago, then disappeared but good to see you are back again. "SportBet.one - decentralized sports-betting platform" what did you mean by "decentralized sports-betting"? As far as I understand, your business model is centralized. No?

We are not completely decentralized, which is true. To achieve full decentralization, we would need to function more like an odds exchange, where users set their own odds. Although such bookmakers exist, they are not sustainable.

Our reliance on data from an odds provider is the main reason we are not "truly" decentralized.

Here's how our system works:

We allow players to place bets directly from their EOS wallets. This means the funds remain solely under your control. You send a specific amount to place a bet, and that's it.

The bet acceptance and validation process is implemented on the EOS blockchain, with each bet being a separate transaction.
Our main EOS account is https://bloks.io/account/sportbet1bet
EOS casino account - https://bloks.io/account/decentcasino

To simplify, they're web3 casino, they allows an account creation by connecting to wallets [the welcome bonus are not applicable for this sign-up feature, though]. The "decentralized" claim come from what they explained above, though I find it quite interesting and would like to inquire more about this.

OP, as I don't have an account on your platform, I can't check it myself, but by "the funds remain solely under your control", were you saying that player's wager and winning are directly and instantly deducted and added to their wallet? They don't need to manually withdraw the winning from their account?
The decentralized nature I like is bitwinup. The trades are on chain, balance are on chain. I think the management only takes a commission of the trades and that's also on chain.
9  Other / Meta / Re: Make bitcointalk.org great again: Add a gaming board, already! on: June 15, 2024, 02:08:19 PM
I'm assuming these are staff members capable of adding new boards?

If so, I would love to hear their input on it.   Cool

Also, don't forget to vote in the poll guys!  It's important if anyone wants a videogames board on this forum.  It shows staff the possible demand for it.
I administrated SMF software and I don't think staffs has the authority to add boards. But anyway, considering the vote, I went for a "Yes".
10  Other / Meta / Re: Small improvement regarding activity / "Show others your online status" on: June 13, 2024, 08:35:00 AM
Staff position is possible but a global moderator position will need much time for PowerGlove to achieve. Being a technical member with good contribution for the forum is big advantage but theymos will need more time to actually trust PowerGlove and appoint global moderator position to the coder.

Being a good programmer doesn't make you a good moderator. Let's not get carried away here.
+1
I was not talking about having a staff position. I was talking about to gain financial benefit of the time and talent invested. I could be wrong but right now it seems earning a good forum reputation but once it is achieved he will have no motivation to continue contribution. A hobby does not stay for long time but when a hobby turns into a profession then it become a career.
11  Other / Meta / Re: Small improvement regarding activity / "Show others your online status" on: June 13, 2024, 08:01:34 AM
Voluntary contribution is very respectable, but it wouldn't hurt if theymos opened up that dusty cold storage for the most dedicated contributor.  Smiley
The new forum software is in the line for a decade, we actually do not know how it's going, how much funds we are spending, what is the progress, will it even become a thing in the near future or it was just a failed project. We know nothing.

I do not think PowerGlove is the only one who is doing the Voluntary job [if it is], there are many with us who are able to form a team and give us a new software if they receive the honer, respect they deserve with the financial benefit to feed their family.

We do not know what interest PowerGlove has right now but most probably it's to gain a good forum rank, have a spot it DT and be a respectable member. Today or tomorrow he will achieve it and then he will have no motive to move further. It's the reality.
12  Other / Meta / Re: Make bitcointalk.org great again: Add a gaming board, already! on: June 13, 2024, 07:51:54 AM
Adding a gaming board is not going to make Bitcointalk great again but it will give a scope for gammer to build their own community like we have gambling community, altcoin community.
I am all up for more boards, but wouldn't it make more sense to first see if there is an actual interest in gaming that would warrant a dedicated board? I just went through few pages on the off-topic board and I didn't see a single gaming thread, which makes me think that there's simply not enough gamers here willing to talk about the subject.
We have no way to get a stat unless we have a board.
For example, users like me and you are so addicted in the forum, if we have something to discuss about gaming, we surely know that there are no place for it, we are not going to bother to create a topic in off-topic. But if we had a board then we would had a different mindset.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Payment remains unconfirmed even though I've received the product on: June 13, 2024, 07:46:26 AM
The parent transaction has not been confirmed, however I've actually received the product that I've payed for, is this possible?
Possible if the seller does not care about receiving the coins. There is always a risk that the buyer can cancel the transaction after receiving the product. It is advisable to trade only after a confirmed transaction.

For BTC 6 confirmation is safe but considering the cost to mine BTC, these days 1 confirmation is more than enough for BTC blockchain.
14  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Just For Laugh] What kind of advice is this? 😂 🤣 🤣 on: June 13, 2024, 07:40:22 AM
A gambling addict should not ask advice form none professionals. It's a serious disease and it requires professionals + support from loved ones to recover from it.

Jokes aside, the best advice would be "quit gambling, get a job, pay back your debts". This is easier said than done, but there's no way around. The gambling addict would be completely delusional, if he thinks that he will recover his losses and pay back his debts just by winning big on sports betting.
That reddit user who replied gave the same advice but it was presented in a funny and interesting manners.

I like the update. Good work Theymos and PowerGlove.

Too bad he only gets merits, and not tens of thousands of bitcoins.  :/
Tens of thousands of bitcoins is a lot but we don't know what price we are paying. Obviously it looks like there are some selfless contribution so far from PowerGlove.
17  Other / Meta / Re: Make bitcointalk.org great again: Add a gaming board, already! on: June 13, 2024, 07:18:17 AM
But I don't think Bitcointalk is a suitable platform for "gaming" discussion as in online gaming. One, almost no gamers visit this site. Two, there is no chat or streaming capability. Who's gonna build a live chat in PHP of all languages? (Not Facebook, that's for sure.) So I think that it would be better to actually just use something like Discord for that sort of thing.
Considering "not suitable", you can put almost anything in this category. It's a forum and anything can be discussed as long as there is a board for it. Adding a gaming board is not going to make Bitcointalk great again but it will give a scope for gammer to build their own community like we have gambling community, altcoin community.
