1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will always Survive on: Today at 01:24:27 PM
The only issue about potential adoption is the high transaction fees. I think Bitcoin would be more valuable if transaction fees were really tiny and one can make a $1 transaction and receive at least $0.99. Some people who implemented it took it out for as ample as this reason. Because you have to wait for the transaction, yet, you pay some really high fees.

In terms of mass adoption of Bitcoin, the issue of costs should not be a barrier that should be used as the main reason, because the amount of costs that you give is a very small amount and even in some countries such a small amount cannot buy a piece of candy Cheesy. What I want to convey is that you can pay attention to these fees with the amount of Bitcoin that you will bring into the transaction, you will definitely find a difference in the amount of fees based on the number of Bitcoin units that you transact so I assume that this is always adjusted by the amount that we transact. So this should not be a reason to stop our own desires in terms of adopting Bitcoin at this time and forever.
Fees are still a factor in why adoption isn't going fast. Those days that fees rise to $10 ( and more), I don't think it is encouraging to spend and use BTC to buy. Indeed, it was not the excuse why but the lack of trust really mattered.

After all, and all the factors concerning the adoption, still, no reason why Bitcoin will never survive. As long as Bitcoin remains useful to the community, it still gets strong support. Of course, corrections happen always but it recovers then because that is how it works. Some are selling and dropping the price but on the other side, some are also buying and uplifting the price again.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lunatic gamblers who says Airdrop rewards are free funds. on: May 26, 2024, 11:37:31 AM
We are still investing our time and effort with those simple tasks that airdrops requires therefore it is not free because when we are talking about "free" you get it totally free no need to do nothing and no catch. If they use it for their gambling activities then it's their choice and losing it all would be a mistake as they are wasting their time and effort for nothing at all.
Most of us think that is how it works. With little work/effort, with also small rewards.
Joining airdrops just serves as a part-time job for others, so they don't bother to complain about it. But for those who think about earning huge from airdrops will only disappointed in the point that it won't give such expected rewards.

The question arises if it is worthy or not. While more reviewers say it is not worth spending their time and is useless, some also find it good and join. It means that not all see things the same way the same as how airdrops look like.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has Trading Competitions competitions led you to challenge your skills? on: May 26, 2024, 10:11:21 AM
I would if the prize is big but if it just to show who is the best trader among the participants, I don't think it gains such courage and motivation. It is unlikely that will have a huge impact on our trading career, possibly nothing change. Perhaps, we can challenge ourselves to improve without this stuff if we want to level up and become more profitable. What is important for us a traders, we are certain of our plan and continue finding strategies that really work. It is not necessary to go into competition so we have to enhance our capability but since we want to become successful, therefore, there is indeed a need to keep improving.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it proper for younger ones to gamble? on: May 24, 2024, 03:34:30 PM
Because nowadays the younger ones take gambling more seriously then school. Yesterday i got back home early so I decided to step out and go to a betting shop to catch some fun while gambling, I saw two teenagers gambling with their school uniforms on them.

I asked someone besides me why did they allow this boy's to come in with their uniforms and gamble, he said did they put any restrictions that younger ones are not allowed to gamble. I said but it's not normal, I replied him what if this are your kids would you be happy seeing them gambling with their uniforms on them. So what do you guys think about this situation at hand now.
The kids in uniform, the casino, and their parents should take all the blame for why these kids are gambling while they are still not at legal age.
Restrictions are just made for the authorities to think that casinos are following what the government told them but on the other side, it is business and they will welcome everyone who wants to gamble even if not the legal age.

To ask if it is a proper? It is very clear that was wrong otherwise we making these young people early expose to gambling which is supposedly not a good time for them. They are young and they are curious about the things around which is why we have to guide them in the right way, not by letting them gamble knowing that they are not in that position already.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH a commodity now? on: May 24, 2024, 02:31:13 PM
According to the recent SEC filing you all know, ETH is now a commodity - highlight: according to the SEC

Is there still a chance that some other force (e.g. congress) will overthrow SEC's right to make this decision?

(Source: SEC mentions ETF funds as Commodity-Based Trust Shares: https://www.sec.gov/files/tm/lk87adfs99.pdf )

Well, that is the result of their market analysis and it supports their claims to consider that ETH is no a commodity. But I think there is still a need to further their survey and market analysis to enhance the proof that it is worth saying it is now a commodity other than a usual coin used to trade with USDT and any stablecoins.

For now, I couldn't disagree but rather give support to such a claim believing that they ate right. In fact, ETH is known for its potentiality and popularity. We can't deny also that many people are buying and holding this just like what they did to Bitcoin.

I know the SEC are planning for the next step they will do to make this analysis official and be recognized.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling bad to the society? on: May 24, 2024, 01:59:31 PM
Quote
So I don't really blame the people who sees gambling as a bad thing to the society, meanwhile If the younger ones take of the steps of being addicted don't you think they'll experience all this as well. So gambling it's bad to the society nevertheless it's also helping in the other hands, to ones which are benefiting and earning from it.
That is the point of gambling --it is good for those who benefit from it and it is bad for those who are not.
Indeed, we can't stop people from blaming gambling but in the first place, they also think about why they gamble when nobody forced them to do that. Perhaps, it was their choice and it was their fault for being addicted because they will just be able to control their gambling habits, it is certain they won't lead to that way. Unfortunately, they let this thing happen because of the wrong mindset. We should know and must keep in mind that gambling is not source of income were many gamblers got it wrong and fall into chasing.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are banks against cryptocurrency? on: May 24, 2024, 11:50:03 AM
They are not against cryptocurrency, particularly Bitcoin but just hate how it going to be when people, their clients will no longer use banks as they switch to crypto wallets with less hassle and faster transactions. But why still a lot of people continue to use banks even if they are Bitcoin investors? It is a fact that we know that people still looking for a place to secure their money without worrying that any time we might lose their money due to hacking incidents. That is why I still don't believe that the existence of cryptocurrency makes banks issue bankruptcy because many people still trust the usual banking system.

Until now, banks still dominate the market. Maybe someday, cryptocurrency dominate when risk issue solve and hacking incidents slow down or it all gone in order to gain confidence.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction does more harm than mere financial loss on: May 24, 2024, 08:37:09 AM
If you are a parent and you have kids looking up to you, it's best to hide your gambling addiction and activities because whatever they see from their parents will reflect on them and give them that idea it's fine to do it because their parents are doing it.
That sounds good but we can't say they never know gambling when social media is already flooded with gambling ads. The best thing to do for them is to educate and guide them as we can no longer hide gambling anymore.
Quote
A role model won't do that or don't even gamble at all if you want your kids to be the same as you and they'll grow up properly.

But as a parent, you know what's best for them and you have to be prepared with how you take care of them because no one knows the surroundings and influence that they will be with when they grow up to the right age.
It is not about that if we are a gambler, our children will become gamblers also but it was their interest and curiosity that brought them there just like me.
There is nothing wrong with gambling as long as we are responsible but if we let our emotions control our minds, addiction is certainly we are going.

Proper gambling education is needed, not buy stopping them from exploring things around them, it is their right as well. The most important is that they understand and are aware of what will happen to them when they fall into gambling addiction.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 24, 2024, 06:18:38 AM
Well, this is just game 1, there's still more game to be played but Dallas winning on the road is big, they don't need to win game 2, they are still ahead IMO. what I'm surprise with this is that Dallas have more points in the paint compared to the Wolves which is suppose to be the opposite.
True, but as a Mavericks fun this already bring safisfaction, one win at a time, I trust Kyrie and Luka to deliver so I'm very positive with the possible outcome of the series that will favor the Mavs. There will be more adjustments that will happen, just like the Nuggets vs Wolves series, every game was really unpredictable, Wolves took 2 games on the road  and they loss 2 at their homecourt as well, who would  even thought of that?

now the series odds has changed, it's quite the opposite before game 1.

Dallas now at 1.59 and Wolves at 2.38.

It's no surprise that the odds changed in favor of the Mavs after the first game. However, I still think the Wolves will finally win this series and become the Western Conference champions. Objectively speaking, the Nuggets were clearly a tougher opponent for the Wolves than the Mavs.

Good luck with what you believe, but I'm believing the opposite outcome. Well, obviously they are the tougher match up for the Wolves because they were the defending champion and finished with better ranking than the Dallas. however, this is a different match up, and Dallas had already proven they can beat the Wolves.

Also, before this, Dallas beat the number 1 in ranking, so if ranking was the basis, it's very clear that OKC is the best team in the West and Dallas beat them in 6. We sure have different opinion here, but let's see if the Wolves can even the series and then let's talk about their chances to win.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin season, will it come next months? on: May 24, 2024, 03:42:26 AM
After all, it is chart a presentation of the past and we can assure that this will be the same scenario that we experience in the coming days.
However, with the improving situation of the market and Bitcoin price, any of these days we might witness price rallies. I think we need to trust the market, it is been too long already that we have been in this volatile situation. If the price of Bitcoin pumps, altcoins will then follow, I'm sure this is very clear to us. Therefore, before we think about altcoin season, we also think about the current market situation. Otherwise, we speculate it wrongly.

Of course, I recall the past events but most of all, I analyze the market based on the current situation because there are a lot of factors affecting the trend which we never see in the past.
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Autotrading system on: May 23, 2024, 09:56:58 PM
I got to realize that must people use autotrading software which enable them to make good profit in trading,  I don't really know about this autotrading system, how does it work? Because people have been saying things about this autotrading, can someone explain how this autotrading is?
Those traders who don't have enough time take risks by choosing trading bots on their behalf but I'd never see (or they are just silent about their trading results) that they become successful and earn more than the usual trading styles. I won't say we should have used this but it is worth trying just to find out how effective it was. But in the first place, we must be aware of the situation that many scam trading bot projects which I hope that those who are in look will find the right one.

But for me, since I have ample free time, I'd still do it myself in the reason that I could learn more when doing it personally. And I could enhance my analysis and familiarize the market situation more.

13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 23, 2024, 12:18:12 PM
LOL! This dude probably loss a lot of money on that game. I guess everyone was into the Wolves -4.5 on that game because they came from a big win against the defending champion, but you can't expect the same result with a different match up. Actually, irving wasn't scoring well in the OKC series but the Mavs still won the game, so the answer is very easy when both Luka and Irving are producing big numbers.

The loss of the TWolves was due to a bad call by the refs towards that Kat dunk.
Sorry but I got to disagree with you because it was reviewed, not only 1 ref made a decision, it was a unanimous one and I think they know their job better, unless we think it was rigged.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin the Dumbest Thing Ever Invented on: May 23, 2024, 07:37:20 AM
Firstly, we are never forced to believe in Bitcoin nor trust it but it is our will and desires, an individual choice either.
It was your insights and opinion OP, There is nothing personal about it but please don't destruct people who already made their way in and knowing more about Bitcoin.

Let people decide and not spread wrong information to divert the mindset of investors.
Because for me and a huge number of BTC, investors keep on trusting this and the belief that all the efforts and risks paid off. You may not see the potential of Bitcoin but we are.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Lotto Winner Takes Time To Claim Their Rewards, What's The Point? on: May 23, 2024, 06:49:18 AM
I have no experience with this but for me, I'll take time to think about what is the next thing to do.
 - security reasons
 - which bank to deposit
 - claiming requirement/s

It is more on the preparation and this is very important. That is why winners have given time (1 year) to claim the prize before it expires and I don't think we need to rush.

Whether you keep silent and hide, people around you could still know that you win the jackpot prize someday. They don't ask but simply they will notice it based on the changes that happen in your life.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to maximize winning potential and control excessive gambling habits on: May 22, 2024, 10:04:25 PM
All the points are there OP. In short, we need to become a responsible gambler rather than addicted to gambling.

But honestly, it is a big challenge for everyone to keep such things because I am sure, that sometimes we commit mistakes especially when our mode changes. And most of the time we spend more rather than less, especially when we win big. That is why I could say that gambling should not be our focus but just our pastime because the more we spend time on this, the more we fall into addiction. And a reason why we don't consider this as a source of income instead, additional expenses.

17  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to be wealthy you need action on: May 22, 2024, 03:50:41 PM
Success is impossible if we do nothing...A plan is useless if we never work on it.
If we want to become wealthy, it should not be just an imagination or plan but rather more on actions and strategies as we can't be rich by just sitting down and watching people working hard.
 - savings
 - lifestyle
 - investments

Honestly, becoming rich is not simple, sometimes we need to sacrifice our happiness. But I believe there is no regret in doing this when we believe this would give us long-lasting happiness in the end.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PEPE on the way of taking Memecoin crown on: May 22, 2024, 02:45:22 PM
PEPE consistently is the third largest memecoin by marketcap. PEPE has had an impressive growth of 30% in last 24 hours outperforming every popular coins. Not only they lead on price rise but for few days, they are the most traded memecoins overtaking Dogecoin. This increase in volume implies a price change that's happening at the moment. Their market cap is still one third of Shiba Inu and have a good possibility of rise. With so many people accumulating PEPE, do you see them dethroning Shiba Inu and Dogecoin to reach the top place for memecoin.
That is not impossible for any of the meme coins to top again and gain another market record because of its hype.
Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and Pepe coins are the leading meme coins that exist among hundreds of meme coins created. Apparently, with the current standing position of meme coins, we can also think that this will stay long and still in hyped. I couldn't just think that the more we hate meme coins, the more they grow and become popular. Maybe, it is about time to accept that meme coins contribute to the popularity of the crypto market. However, despite the popularity of Pepe coin now, we can't also set aside the fact that not all of their kind are worth investing in.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 22, 2024, 01:04:20 PM
The Celtics won by 5 points in OT. I thought this series would be easy for the Celtics, but Game 1 proved me wrong. The Pacers are giving their all; 7 players scored in double digits, with 3 of them scoring more than 20. The Pacers had 6 more field goals, but the Celtics had more free throws, with 24 compared to the Pacers' 9. The Pacers committed 23 fouls and had 21 turnovers. They need to work more on reducing their turnovers and fouls.

The first game of the series was close, but I think it's too early to draw any conclusions. For example, we saw the Heat tie the first round by winning the second game versus the Celtics, but the Celtics still won that series. It was the same for the Celtics in the semifinal series. Meanwhile, the Pacers had an even tougher semifinal series, as they first lost to the Knicks in the first two games and then also won the series.

I think it's a different series and hence a different outcome. The Heat were undermanned, losing their best player, yet they still managed to win one game. The Cavaliers played with an injured Mitchell, who eventually missed games and led to their elimination. The Pacers, however, are an entirely different team because they are healthy and came off a huge win versus the Knicks. So, honestly, I'm not worried about my series bet on the Pacers, as I'm satisfied with what they showed in game 1.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 22, 2024, 12:18:30 PM
I bet on over 213.5 as it looked so obvious this game is gonna go over. If you look at the last 2 games, the total  were below 200, and now the total offered is over 213.5, this is fishy, so I like to follow my instinct here.

That's very clever, nice pick. It looked like it was going to go under after the first half, but the third quarter saw a lot of points scored, which easily brought the game over. The right pick was SMB -5.5 as they beat ROS by 10 points. Now the series is already 3-0, and there's no way ROS will be able to come back. I think it's going to be a sweep. Congratulations.
