521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: December 07, 2023, 02:18:09 PM
snip

Loneliness doesn't make anyone to gamble or gamble more,
he gamble because he is free if we have many friends and a lot of work, or when we are too busy and in a state that the time is very important then the person will forget about gambling,
if a person is free and have account on a gambling platform with some money in it, his mind will distract and try to go to the account and play with it. and if we keep our account blank and cut every way to go and gamble then it is easy to not gamble if you don't want, but it's hard to control when we have balance in account.
He has a lot of free time because he is alone, with nothing to care aside themselves. This could be the reason why they found gambling as a place to make their life busy and a sort of engagement with other people. I can't blame their addiction because no one can give them advice and no one to ask for it, they decide based on their wants.

If we have money, we can't make ourselves too lonely, so why not spend our money on things that give us happiness as well? As long as we don't bother others life, gambling is not a bad decision but of course, it should have some limitations.
522  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is the only currency that has grown the most!! on: December 07, 2023, 01:00:11 PM
Present, there are many altcoins in the crypto market and they have grown a lot. But it has gone down and gone again, but Bitcoin is the only currency that hasn't gone down yet, instead it's going up. I've noticed that Bitcoin has grown the most over the past couple of days, but altcoins haven't grown as much in comparison. Currently, we see Bitcoin market above $44000, I think it will bring $45000 very soon. Will Bitcoin Touch $50,000 By This December?  What do you think about the way the Bitcoin market is currently growing?
Many altcoins grow fast but drop quickly unlike Bitcoin where we can see consistency in its growth (upward). Well, we can expect such a thing as the bull season is coming but after this, tragic dump is also what we experience. That is why if we want to invest in crypto for the long term, we should choose Bitcoin over altcoins but if we just aim for the short-term and enjoy the hyped, altcoins seem fit for such criteria.

However, with the current situation and if the momentum keeps going, Bitcoin price could reach $50k this year. But we never know exactly what will happen a few days from now as we can't just ignore how the FUDs and negative news affect the market trend.
523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will you say within your limits to encourage responsible gambling? on: December 07, 2023, 12:13:31 PM
If I'm in the position of a worker, I'd rather make this gambler stay until he went home empty. Maybe I was wrong but assuming that I was in the casino working for the company, I don't think it was gentle to tell a winning gambler to go home, maybe I would say it for those who lose big. Casinos are even happy to have a lot of people gamble and enjoy the place. Why we should stop someone if he still enjoys playing? It makes sense really to just let that gambler continue and he will come back because of his good experience.
524  Economy / Economics / Re: Idea and money are very important to investment. on: December 06, 2023, 10:11:27 PM

Do you believe idea and money are very important in investment? Or can you succeed with money without idea in that investment.
Idea and money should be partnered in investment...
 - you can't invest without money
 - you will lose your money if you don't have any idea what you are doing

In general, without any of those things, you will only just fail.
In fact, an investment just comes up after having an interest and doing research to gain an idea. For rich people, investment is not hard for them because they already have money, and ideas/knowledge can easily be acquired as it is already available on the internet.
525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: December 06, 2023, 01:10:14 PM
I am deeply sorry for you being in this kind of situation, you know lessons must be learnt from experience or watching and learning from the mistakes of others, I am sure you must have heard some kind of advice relating to this kind of problem concerning addiction and taking loan to gamble. Many has done this and regretted, now you can see your self facing same problem. I know you must have done that with enough confidence and basically rely on your faith as maintaining positivity at all times, but you ought to know that gambling is risky and not always on the smooth run.

It was his choice but just a big mistake of not thinking about what would happen to him. Nothing to say sorry but we would say that he should learn from this and consider this a reason to think that gambling has no assurance of making money and committing a loan just to gamble is really a big mistake that a person has made. It is done already, he can't turn it back so what he gonna do for now is to focus on paying the debts instead of chasing those losses as it only creates more problems.
526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Gambling to the society on: December 06, 2023, 12:39:48 PM

In addition to this, gambling also give hope to those who might have been hopeless because of poverty. Through gambling, they somehow hope that one day they will win and change their situation.

Gambling indeed have many positive impacts on the society.

Gambling giving hope to people playing and staking bets in hopes of a big win someday is not an advantage in any way and certainly not impacting positively in any way to the society. Having hopes of winning a life changing amount due to gambling is more like a dream.
Gambling may have some positive impacts as it’s considered a recreational activity by many. But it’s negative effects apparently visible in irresponsible people in the society has by a large margin, overshadowed any positive effects it may have ever had.
And usually, poor people were involved in gambling hoping for something  --winning big. Unfortunately, this causes problems for them as instead of prioritizing their needs, they are now spending more on gambling and losing their money. Indeed, the government is benefiting more from this while these casino owners are benefiting from gamblers and gamblers get mental stress and financial problems.
Gambling is not really important in society but it gives pleasure and chances.
527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad news always brings some good news! on: December 06, 2023, 07:08:16 AM
People did not feel worried about the Binance issue but instead, they remained calm and trusted the new CEO to run the exchanges with full confidence.
Besides, it was not a big issue for us to think that it would have a huge impact on the market and with the recent pump that we experienced, probably for other reasons and continued accumulation. In fact, after the news about CZ and Binance, the price of Bitcoin never shows corrections but instead, pumps.

I believe that people have already learned how to control their emotions when dealing with bad news, FUDs, etc...they are still positive and keep rolling.
528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing altcoins now or during halving? on: December 06, 2023, 06:16:20 AM
Currently Altcoins are start growing and crypto market condition is pretty good as every where is green. And many of us expected that, bull will come soon and so people already start analysis for which altcoins should buy and could be best investment for bull run. But as we know, market goes a little down when it comes to BTC Halving, which will be happened probably on 24th april, 2024.
So are you going to pick your altcoins Now??  Or During/After BTC Halving while you can buy altcoins with low price?
Too late to do that if you buy during halving, just missing up the chance of buying cheap. In fact, we were given the chance early this year when the price of altcoins was very cheap even for Bitcoin but we are already on the move going high, supposedly we're done filling our bags before the end of this year. But for those who still don't have any investment yet, we should have to decide now before halving. Perhaps, that is supposed the thing we do because it was hard to expect a huge market correction after halving as we are expecting bull season to come.
529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think voting for Bitcoin to become a legal tender was the plan? on: December 05, 2023, 09:58:06 PM
One of the reason why Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin is to have a currency where no third party, group or a person behind the currency like most of the fiat money. I am sure you know about fiat money that is regulated by the government whereas Bitcoin doesn't have at all and also free from inflation. I also think that Satoshi Nakamoto think that Bitcoin will/may become a legal tender and it did happen which is done by El Salvador.
It definitely depends on the support and adoption of the country where as El Salvador had opened the door for Bitcoin and officially became a legal tender of their country. But on the other side of the world, many were against this and even banned the use/trade of crypto like China before. It could be a reason why many people still do not see that Bitcoins can be a legal currency soon but will just remain as an investment.
530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risking 1% in Gambling on: December 05, 2023, 01:50:06 PM
I also used to follow this kind of strategy. First rule would be that I would only gamble the amount that I am effort to loose. For me it was 5% of my whole capital. I knew clearly if I lost 5% it wouldn't effect my family or daily need or my life. There would another rule I followed that never chase looses. That means if I already spend my 5% already I wouldn't gamble anymore. Despite the odds if the limit is hit then there would be no gambling. I followed this rule everyday. I also had a daily limits how much how much I would spend on gambling. So i think, if we follow proper money management strategy like your 1% method we can do better than most of the irresponsible gamblers.

It's great that you can do this. You are a responsible gambler. If you follow the rules you set, your gambling won't affect your family, your job, or the people around you. I have compliments for you.
But for those who see gambling as a place to make money, this rule will not apply to them. If you always follow the rules you set, then gambling for you is just an entertaining game. Can't help us win big.
Isn't just because we follow the rules but it is how we manage ourselves not to become addicted to gambling.
 - must set limitations, we know when to stop
 - gamble only when we are in good mode
 - don't be greedy, we don't have to change big winnings
 - must accept losses

The time we do this consistently, it turns out to be a habit, and it is not difficult for us to manage our emotions. If we can afford to spend 5% or 10%, that still okay as long as it never compromises our finance and still have good relationships with the family.
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which good altcoins can I hold along with Bitcoin for the upcoming halving? on: December 05, 2023, 12:50:58 PM
This literally the first halving I'm going to experience since knowing about bitcoin. So I've already started holding Bitcoin and lately the progression  has been going well!!.So I've some Lil funds with me but I'm thinking of which good altcoins I can hold for the upcoming  halving, that's going to also skyrocket too. I was thinking about ETH, BNB and SOL. But still, I  need recommendations from you guys about the best altcoins to hold for the halving please.
But I would say that just stick on your chosen altcoins, they are already profitable and these coins are known to pump when the bull season comes. In fact, I only hold BTC and ETH and I was satisfied already with the profit I've earned. I was not thinking for more nor did I have to be greedy but I saw the contentment already. Because I think that it was better to focus on BTC and ETH and put all of the money into them rather than investing a lot of altcoins. Earning a profit is not with the number of coins but with the amount, timing, and strategies it matter.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: December 05, 2023, 11:32:30 AM
In my opinion making cash from gambling is not a good option and the statistical probability that you will win every game at every casino is very low. I think winning or losing every game is completely in your head, so your individual tricks are not there. However, we all have some kind of luck so we should strive for what is possible for us.
Gambling is like speculation and when you predict sometimes it will not work out for you and when you do not predict also it will not work out for to win, a wining in a gambling is something we have to stand firm and know that it's something that have to do with luck but some people think that gambling to win it is something that have to do with your predictions and as number as gambling you will place or play will give you wining in a gambling, so I don't believe that gambling is something you can bold or proud of that you know it all, basically gambling is a good thing and it have to do with luck and it's not because of your numerous places you gamble that will give you wining, I really want to change people from such mindset
Whatever we do, it can't change how gambling works --it is all about luck with a little hard work.
That is we don't have to chase our losses because that only leads to losing more. Without luck, it is hard for us to win in gambling, and even for how many years we've been gambling and have a lot of knowledge and experience, we still don't have any assurance of winning. This is why when I'm gambling, I don't think about winning but rather make myself enjoy and gain another experience just to avoid disappointment.
533  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for December on: December 04, 2023, 10:05:05 PM
The start of this month is looking great and everyone thinking of a more positive trend ahead but for me, I expect short corrections (still on the positive side). We can't ignore the volatility of the market and I was sure that we were aware of the situation when the pumps came, it followed with corrections. A lot of factors that could affect the market trend,
 - some will take advantage of the situation and sell their Bitcoin, FUDs, etc.

We can hope that the price will remain $40k but at least staying above $35,000 if there are corrections is still overwhelming.

534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you make gambling a profession - a full time job on: December 04, 2023, 09:36:40 PM
I cannot make gambling a profession however I would gladly share on those who have the courage and the guts to take the that path. It is even more risky van having a high stick or even chasing losses. However we must note that people think all sorts of decisions for different purposes. A person who decides to Gamble full time may do it to prove a point that they can make money from gambling and not be addicted to it.
Making this decision was not a bad decision, it was their desire to take this profession as they believed that they could make it. Of course, it never works on a doubtful individual and not for those who think negatively already but it should for someone who has a high confidence that this job is for them. Yes, it is a matter of choice and all of us know what is best for us because I believe that they think it several times before making that decision.
535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should altcoins be blamed? on: December 04, 2023, 01:15:54 PM
My question is should altcoins really be blamed for hate some persons have for Bitcoin due to their loss in alt coins?
There are many immature people in this world, I am not surprised by this phenomenon, but as far as I know, people like this don't affect anything with the crypto, because many people out there like the crypto than hate it. So let it pass, what important now is they cannot influence who believe crypto long time ago. as we look now, Crypto prices is still keep rising and many people are increasingly interested in buying it. so if indeed hated it, bitcoin and altcoin was dead a long time ago, in fact today more growing up and maybe rising multiple time when many country adopt it. So, no one is to blame, they just can't play like us and are jealous of development.
We can't blame them either because they don't even understand how the market works. If these people just know that these altcoins are worthless, they surely don't waste their money buying them but unfortunately, they don't have enough knowledge that help them decide which is why they fall into the wrong investment. It was not surprising anyway in the sense that many people have invested in crypto, particularly in altcoins because of the influence of social media and they taught that these influencers really know crypto.
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Keeping Numbers Or You Allow The Machine To Pick Your Numbers To Bet on: December 03, 2023, 09:46:37 PM
I have tried this one and for some tickets I buy, it is just one time I've got 3 numbers hit on the 6 winning numbers. Just to think that we need to hit all 6 numbers in order to win the jackpot prize the chances it very slim, it was less than 1% and if you are not too lucky, you will never get this one. In fact, some of my neighbors have been doing this for so many years and even hitting at least 3 numbers didn't happen. A lottery is definitely a hard thing to win and we solely rely on luck.
537  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Correction is possible in bitcoin price? After 40,000$ on: December 03, 2023, 12:08:42 PM
The market trend is unpredictable but the said price correction seems expected to happen at any time, not wonder.
But we should have nothing to worry about, as long as we are holding tight and focusing on our goal in waiting for the bull season, we have nothing to lose as we never sell any.

Let us embrace and understand what the volatility looks like, it pumps today and it may dump or pump by tomorrow. A reason why we should know how to be patient and how to respond calmly to every market change.
538  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just a dream but possible on: December 01, 2023, 02:05:10 PM
Don't yab me for saying this, I am a dreamer after all and dreams do come true at times if we want them to.

Even a plan without proper execution will only just turn into nothing. As long as that dream is achievable, that is certainly going to happen provided that we also work hard. But if we just take it easy and wait for the time to come, ohh, we're just dreaming and it never happens.

Like if we dream of becoming rich - we can get it if we really have to find a way to make it possible. In fact, there are a lot of ways but if we are too lazy and have doubts about ourselves, it is impossible. It needs dedication and motivation.
539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes betting is just ridiculous. Sometimes it is complete nonsense. on: December 01, 2023, 01:26:37 PM
If this happens, I think this is a game of rich gamblers or to make it short a leaders game. Fake or not, I don't think gamblers care about anything as long as they can place a bet on something they will surely jump-in just like national elections, animal fights and other inhumane gambling activities. All of it are inappropriate and should be penalized by law.
Then from now on, they should know how to take care of their bets otherwise, they are making gambling nonsense.
We don't need to wait for the government to take action against these unusual betting behaviors. We have to show respect and become a professional gambler. Because we know that it was not appropriate in the first place but why do we have to continue betting? It was just like fooling ourselves and claiming innocence even though we know about it.
540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using AI for betting predictions on: December 01, 2023, 12:47:20 PM
I have a developer who recently stumbled on multiple AI he uses for sport betting predictions, he uses it to generate sport bettings but none of the bets gets to be accurate as it generates tens of games. but when used to generate a much lesser number of games the predictions are sometimes  correct, at least 3 in 10 predictions of "multiple" bets.

But he loves having 30+ games "multiple" bet to win big amount and so far it has been a challenge in the last 5-6 weeks as his winnings have drastically dropped.

Should AI be relied on for sport betting predictions?
I have not experience yet using AI in gambling but with the story that you have shared with us OP, it was very clear to us that it never works as what we wanted to happen. Well, such an experiment will prove that AI has limitations and that humans are still dominating in gambling and other areas. That is why I have no confidence in using this technology, in fact, we can do it personally and enjoy the moment. If it happens that AI is accurate for their predictions, I don't think the gambling platforms will allow it as it could be the reason for their losses and closure.
