101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: August 18, 2017, 02:15:24 PM
Aynone else getting gpu usage spikes from 100% to 0% with latest ccminer 2.2? Also power usage fluctuating from zero to what ever I have set. Example 0% -> 70%

Is there a solution to fix this? Thanks for help guys  Tongue

I don't know, what i notice is a 1080ti founder edition is always stable, the gigabyte gaming OC has performance fluctuate. It goes from 40 to 52MH

What intensity? Lowering it seems better for stability in my case.

Is this still an interesting investment to buy at this point? Or will delivery time kill the profits?

I think it's only a matter of time before bankers start embracing the system.
Perhaps we'll see the rise of an internationally accepted centralized blockchain for fast international transactions, upon which can be speculated by the average joe but not mineable?

It doesn't look like EU and USA will illegalize bitcoin at this point, but bankers might lobby to make it so once it would take a bigger proportion of global financial systems.

How does everyone feel about the actual LBRY app? When compared to something like steem, I don't really see it as having much of a future. Maybe the protocol is solid, i will have to understand it more, but i feel that the project itself needs a ton of work.

The devs have mainly been working on the back end, the app is not very polished as of yet but they are making huge advancements.
Many apps can be developed on top of the chain, the app is more of an example what is possible.

705 Mh/s mining skein on hashrefinery, 3.11$/day so im sticking with Expanse (3.52$/day)

Expanse on ethash? How can that even be profitable on a 1080TI/Nvidia for that matter?

Skein is currently $3.04/day, I'm mining ZCash @ $3,34.

Is anyone else concerned at all with the huge portion of the mining being undertaken by suprnova right now? They are contributing well over 51% of the current hashrate...

https://miningpoollists.com/hush/

We have been aware of this for a while. The community has been increasingly adding more mining pools with non-suprnova pools seemingly becoming more popular. In Slack we whole-heartedly advocate not to mine on a pool that has majority hashrate.

I'm mining on suprnova. Can you guys give me a reason not to?

Because it is in nobody's best interest to put over 50% of hashpower in a single pool. Move to hushpool.cloud for example which is also big enough to even out your income.

I don't want to sound like an asshole, but that reply doesn't convince me to move. I find suprnova easy to use and convenient with plenty of info. I need a real reason why I should move.

I understand your reasoning, don't get me wrong. But in the spirit of decentralizing currencies it is never a good thing if a pool has over 50% of the hashrate. If you are interested in the coin and interested in longer term holding instead of selling as you mine, you might want to learn more about it, as it can impose a real threat on a coin;
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/1/51-attack.asp

Such abuse would not even be very obvious, other pools could see their luck go down or get more orphaned blocks.
Some bitcoin pools in the past have volunteered to give up part of their hashrate in favor of preventing going over 40%, that should give a hint.

Hi there, i invested many month ago in monacoin, i want now to try mining. Im using CCminer, and i have mined 0.2 monacoin since now.
I Have a 11173 k/hashs in my ccminer window, is it a good stat ?
I m using a 980gtx gpu
thank for your answer

No, you should be getting ~25-30 MH/s with a GTX980, at which you should be mining 3-4 Mona per day.

Nice!

Trading on Bittrex is only a couple of days away at this point with the official wallet for Windows?
Can't wait for XCAT!

I'm using afterburner, but I think that my configuration is not correct, because peaks appear in the graph

Could you give me your opinions? Actually, I'm in 470KH/s with one 1080ti.

You get peaks because you use the GPU to feed your monitor as well.
If your pc is idle and not feeding a display you would not have those.
You can reduce them but they are not hurting your average hashrate that much.

Another option is to get a crap gpu to feed your monitor but it'd be a pain in the buttocks if you want to use the GPU for gaming.

You can try to reduce the load by trimming all possible visual stuff in windows & chrome (or whatever browser you might use) by disabling hardware acceleration.

At 85% tdp, 1760 core & 5300 memory I'm seeing ~460KH/s, throw +500 memory in there and you'll see a decent increase.

We are proud to share a recording of today's live stream from Crypto Core Radio. David Mercer represented the Hush team well and discussed the current platform and future goals.

I'm calling scam on suprnova

For several days I've been mining at over 20kSol/s, I've consistenlty got 25% less than expected.
I only have a small time farm, yet I'm the biggest contributer, which is already a major red flag.

STAY AWAY
117  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stay away from zec.suprnova.cc (and the whole family)! It is a scam! on: June 22, 2017, 11:22:45 AM
After mining HUSH for several days with 21kSol/s, I have found suprnova to reliably underperform 25%. Stay away.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HUSH Secure Private Transactions [Equihash][Community Project] on: June 21, 2017, 06:15:41 AM
I'm seeing everyone run from suprnova, why is that?
Besides that, I'm calculating that I have gathered only 70% of the expected amount of coins over the past 48 hours on suprnova, not what I would expect for a pool that has over half the hashrate.  Huh
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HUSH Secure Private Transactions [Equihash][Community Project] on: June 18, 2017, 08:04:30 AM
I've been doing ~18kSol/s for the past 18 hours or so via Yiimp, without finding a single block  Huh
TTF has been under an hour for the entire time, last block found 19 hours ago.

Might there be a problem somewhere, or just incredible bad pool luck?
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [POOL] YAAMP.COM multipool multialgo profit switch with exchange on: June 18, 2017, 01:06:45 AM
Hush has been having a TTF of less than an hour for about 12 hours now @ 20+kH/s on Yiimp, last block found 12 hours ago  Angry
Bad pool luck?
