101  Economy / Economics / Re: Are loans - part of debts? on: September 11, 2018, 01:38:38 AM
Credit and debt can in principle be considered synonymous. One difference is that for the loan you have to pay more interest and for the debt is not.(If, of course, no written contract was signed by a notary). But as a rule, no one makes such contracts with debt

And since there's no contract people taking the advantage to borrow a lot of money, even they knew that they can't pay it all and believing no one can't be in jail for borrowing money but unless if a person already owe huge money like millions, it's consider as estafa and he can be jailed.

If there's money involve, a thing can be consider debt as you have an obligation to pay it no matter what. It's just good to hear that you loan money from bank but technically you owe them and that count to debt.
102  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which Bitcoin is Bitcoin? on: September 10, 2018, 02:12:48 PM
OP should filter what he read to prevent unnecessary confusion thus reading paid articles is wicked.

First of, he should read bitcoin whitepaper since all the essential information is written there, if OP just read it then all will be clear. Likely by now, he already straighten his mind since there's new fork coin, bitcoin SV ( bch fork ) that will be out in the market, hopefully it won't confuse him.

We're actually in the community that drama never end.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
103  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Investing in ICO tokens on: September 10, 2018, 01:07:15 PM
I think everything depends on the ICO. Whether the project reaches its big target or not, if they achieve that, I believe that the coin price will be good if it has been registered on the exchange. they expect not to be fulfilled.

If a coin is really good it will gradually increase despite on wherever it's listed. Like what people believe that once it's listed in binance it will skyrocketed, yes some of it but not all so cut the crap and don't depend on listing.

But who decides the starting price of a token when appear in exchange? How COIN A in ICO is 10 cents on exchange is 20 cents and COIN B 20 cents in ICO on exchange 1 cent at starting price?

The starting price is only determine by the market however there are some ico that put a base price on the value to avoid getting dump. Otherwise, don't expect that the ico price will be the price in trading sites so don't speculate your profit early or you'll be dismay.

104  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the point of bitmex? on: September 10, 2018, 11:30:12 AM
I've heard a lot about Bitmex. A lot of people trade there are with leverage. It's very dangerous but I want to try it too. You should use stop losses and trade a small part of deposit.

It will be good if you exert some effort to research about bitmex before you use it, not just because you heard over it means you should easily try it.

On the other hand, US residents are prohibited in using bitmex and don't dare to use VPN as bitmex team can still caught you.

Bitmex is not a "normal" crypto exchange where you can trade a coin with another coin. It's a derivative exchange, you can only trade BTC and several altcoins futures contracts in Bitmex. All contracts are bought and sold in Bitcoin, that's why you don't see other deposit/withdraw option other than Bitcoin. You can't deposit/withdraw USD, everything is in BTC.

Here's the list of traditional futures use in bitmex
btc, bch, eos, ltc, ada, xrp, eth
105  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What to do with Dead Tokens? on: September 10, 2018, 10:05:45 AM
Out of interest, what dead tokens are they?

Someone mentioned that they could be exchangeable later on DEXs? Is this a market that could exist in the future? The buying/selling of unusable tokens, almost like antiques Smiley ?

Antiques are rare that's why they've become valuable but shitcoins aren't rare and its developers just used that to create money. So even you keep those shitcoins it won't have a decent value unless its developer is active and paying attention to their product but if it's not, don't hope for nothing.

But you can keep it and look at it so there's something that will remind you to be cautious in buying. Treat it as token of appreciation. Grin
106  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Centralized exchange Bithumb allegedly has $250m in fake daily trading volume... on: September 10, 2018, 09:05:38 AM
Are decentralized exchanges such as Bancor the answer to stopping this ever growing trend?

It's hard to tell that as bancor is still just new yet its vision is clearly feasible than the others. From aiming to increase the liquidity in dex to low fees, well I guess future dex should be look after what bancor had did.

This is no longer new, the competition is extremely high that's the reason why they're faking their volume. How can you say that DEX would can do something about fake volumes?. Do you really think they can't manipulate the trade volumes?.

IDK but I believe that fake trading volumes are lesser than DEX since it doesn't have a third party that can be more manipulative.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Salary in BTC from the Israeli company Spot.IM on: September 10, 2018, 08:12:47 AM
I think generally speaking it is a bit too early for salaries to be paid in bitcoin and crypto.
This benefits the exchanges where the salaries are paid into because most people will need
FIAT to pay bills and other living expenses.

Receiving part of a salary in bitcoin would be my option if i was presented with it.

Companies should also consider the monthly bills and expenses in daily living of their employee and its families.

So here's the scenario;
My boss paid me on btc and since my salary is for our expenses in daily living, I should be familiarize in trading bitcoin and I need to convert it to fiat. My salary is worth $500 in bitcoin and when I trade it to fiat I'll just have more or less $470 left since I need to pay for the transaction fee. So instead that $30 that I can be use in buying food it just end up paying for transaction fee. So where's the convenience?

So basically, paying in bitcoin should take a lot of consideration and it shouldn't mandatory for all employees. It will be better if they just choose which one they'll prefer.
108  Economy / Economics / Re: BANKS offers LOANS. on: September 10, 2018, 07:17:27 AM
If I were you, you shouldn't be considering borrowing money from banks since they're so wise as you can think of and they always made sure that they will get something more than anything and cryptos aren't they thing. Being volatile is a big factor that's why they didn't acknowledge cryptos as an asset, so since it isn't an asset they won't accept it as collateral.

They need more tangible as gold to be able get a loan. Honestly, if you can stay away from lending money please do, just utilize your earning and wait for it to grow rather than paying huge interest.
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3000 Bitcoins ATM worldwide !!!! on: September 10, 2018, 06:24:48 AM
Bitcoins distributors are increasing. Indeed, the symbolic bar of the 3 000 distributors in the world has just been crossed, and there are about six new installations each day. So the situation is changing very quickly.

Honestly I can't understand people who are using ATMs to buy bitcoin or any other altcoin - crypto in general. Most of the time rates are way higher than if you go and register on some exchange and trade directly. Secondly, there is no support on the spot and some ATMs even ask you to provide them with your IDs and they will take the picture even if you are buying only one time and guess what this doesn't sound like the best deal for me. You give them your ID and you overpay for the price for what? If you are going to do KYC better is to follow up and go with trustworthy exchange in my opinion.

Not all of them are allowing to buy and sell crypto-currencies ( 35%) However only half of the distributors offer anything other than Bitcoin, the Litecoin being the most popular crypto-currency.

Other machines cater also other cryoto currency such as eth, ltc and bch and with that you can easily trade without worrying your account however the fees are quite overwhelming compare in regular trading sites so you definitely torn between fees and convenience.

Honestly, I'm not surprised with the number of ATM in US, I mean bitcoin is widely known and seems adoption isn't that hard.

~
and Asia 1.93%.

Hopefully, we can see more in Asia like bitcoin transactions here are increasing and so the machines,  should also take some consideration.
110  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Good Bitcoin Articles (more than 350 articles organized by topics) on: September 10, 2018, 04:01:20 AM
That's very rough to read all those. Yet somehow the articles are one sided and it's actually a point of view of the author and not by everyone else so I guess it's better to have  some healthy yet real  discussion.

But I'll give it a shot here and read those article when I'm free and hopefully more rational statement will be seen here.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest in an ICO? on: September 09, 2018, 12:43:29 PM
Stay away from ICOs. Most of them are scams and some are below their ICO price shortly after they listed on exchanges. We are at bear market that make the odd for a successful ICOs are a lot worse.

Yeah I think so since we barely to see successful icos recently and it just made the community more awful as obviously it just die eventually.

Honestly, I'm staying away from icos as much as I could and if I really want the token badly, I just wait for it to get listed and buy from those dumpers.

I always look at the product, if it's something new that can really have a real usage in the community and definitely not just an app. The team and social media page is always a must look.
112  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial Crisis Will Come on: September 09, 2018, 11:13:04 AM
We have been through so many economical difficulties, that people should have had a wake up call years ago already....

I'm convinced that the reason people don't wake up to the reality of elite-inflated bubbles is that the media is part of the story-telling machine that numbs the public.

It was been and will always be a puppet of those elite people and we can't do anything about it though the least we can do is know what's the fact from fuck. In an instance, it's really saddening how media uses social media to poison the mind of younger generation and condition them they should believe them. More likely a hypnotism at its finest

In general each of us can stay safe by:

1)  diversifying the assets we hold (so CA$H on hand, land, gold, crypto, stocks & bonds are all good).

2)  many people do not handle debt well (my wife & I hate debt), so my general advice is to lower debt levels.

That's good point and you're lucky to do that like you can diversify to other assets but what about those poor people that doesn't have even one asset? Financial crisis is a serious issue that every country has and it really strikes us especially those who are in the bottom of society. And the fact still remains that when you're poor today, you're be poorer tomorrow and it sucks.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 Signs and Symptoms That You’re Suffering From Bitcoin Addiction on: September 09, 2018, 08:45:46 AM

is this seriously legit? like really? Is it because bitcoin is getting a lot of attention and people are too obsessed about it? Im actually speechless about this.

It's pretty BS in the first place. Most of those characteristics aren't signs of addiction at all. Not because I have a CMC tab open all the time it doesn't automatically mean I'm addicted, etc. A different title might be more fitting that calling it straight-off addiction.

The title should go like this. Our habitual engagement in cryptos.

Well I think that most suit rather than addiction since I don't want that negative connotation. Like for me this is a sort of kind of habit to our every day lives and you just didn't notice how it affect us.

On the other hand, I'm guilty of no. 1 and 4 but no. 2 isn't right since we also need to socialize to others even we all have different perspective. Just hang out with them and have fun. As they say, we only live once.

Just forget crypto for a moment, just chill and take a break once in a while.
114  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your Public Key is Your Identity on: September 09, 2018, 07:41:04 AM
I think verifying bitcoin address is only useful when it comes verifying someone's identity. Nowadays, signed bitcoin address does not help bitcointalk users recover their account when it gets hacked or stolen.

I think you're confuse because in fact it's the best way how you can recover your account and it's a solid proof that it's really belongs to you.

Anyways, is there a possible way to also signed ETH address?

Yes it is, there you go.
https://medium.com/@eugen_lechner/sign-and-verify-a-wallet-address-with-myetherwallet-1a46f6e2853e

~
. but when you sign a message with an altcoin key you can no longer use the bitcoin software to verify it, you have to use that altcoin's software to do it. not everyone has that and also they may contain bugs that verify a wrong message and pass it as correct so we stick to bitcoin.

So does it mean that we can't just easily signed an address or else bugs will just compromise the message? Huh
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep your bitcoins for at least five years on: September 09, 2018, 06:41:02 AM
~
Altcoins won't fail if Bitcoin starts to fail they're not related except for the price.

Yet the trend tell it all.

1. Bitcoin pump, altcoin dump
2. Bitcoin dump, altcoin dump more

Since bitcoin is dominating the cryptos, when investors see that bitcoin is struggling and fuds are spreading, they easily loss trust and dump their altcoin. Though when bitcoin pump, they sell their altcoin and diversify more in bitcoin.

The crypto market is a very profitable market despite everything, i think it's worth the wait.

Yeah after all, it's profitable unless someone here is a FOMO and bought at $19k.

Cryptos are unpredictable and so the price of bitcoin. Good thing I sell my eth last month and buy more bitcoin or unless I'm doomed now.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Peak of the Cryptocurrency on: September 08, 2018, 01:27:29 PM
How to know the peak of the cryptocurrency? Can you share me how do you know the peak of the cryptocurrency. Is it hard to know when will the crpto price will peak again if no, what are the ways that you do to know the peak in the market?
There are no magic solutions and 100% guarantees.I am guided by psychological levels.Combine a little with the technical analysis, and here's the method all.

Oh yeah and if there will be someone that can know, then he must be damn rich now.

But realistically none though technically, we have whales that manipulate the market and they can do this without our knowledge, they can make it look peak even it's not and there's FOMO that once again fooled by the market.

Maybe we can ask Nostradamus about this.
Just kidding. Grin
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep your bitcoins for at least five years on: September 08, 2018, 12:01:22 PM
I'm sorry, but there is just no way bitcoin will be more valuable in 5 years.
That's like saying that the current iphone (iphone X) will be more valuable in 5 years than now.

Seriously? Comparing bitcoin to iphoneX is crazy. Bitcoin is an asset and iPhone X is just a gadget that depreciate in just some months. Nice logic huh. Grin

Why on earth would anyone pay more for btc when there are so many better choices out there?
And you think in 5 years btc will still be the best blockchain out there?
No way.

Oh yeah just believe that. Can you cite us some coins that's better choice than bitcoin. Let's see if 5 years is enough for your shitcoins or should I say if it still even reach 5 years.

But, in the short term, I still think btc has one or two more pumps in it.
It would be beneficial to still keep a btc based portfolio then sell it off when we see it hit 15k usd or more.
But after that, migrate your portfolio to something else.

you have to realize that all of these bitcoin hodlers are mostly basing their analysis off of their own experience, which actually isn't relevant anymore.
we are beyond the hodl era.

Yes we're basing our analysis to our experience or rather on history since we already saw how bitcoin struggle from its ups and downs.

118  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do older people like investing in Gold/Silver? on: September 08, 2018, 11:02:40 AM
The thought of a tangible investment could be a huge playing factor here.

LoL this actually true since our elderly really prefer to have something tangible and for them it feels like security. Before our grandparents are really fond of buying gold and silver and they'll tell their children that if they'll die their children won't starve and already have a future. For them it's more than an investment and likely an insurance plan. Grin

It's funny but it's true. You know, nothing beats an old fashioned way.
119  Economy / Economics / Re: how to help people who have problem economic on: September 08, 2018, 09:30:44 AM

can opening new jobs reduce unemployment and improve the economy?

Yes somehow it is but what if the new jobs doesn't fit to all those people that unemployed. This will definitely depend on what jobs will create. It will be sustainable if the jobs that will create is likely a livelihood program for the poor like handicrafts, cooking or sewing. Teach them something that they can use for their everyday living. This small act can have a big impact to the community and will have a domino effect in economic situation.

We live in a world where no one will just help anyone.

Don't be like that. No man is an island.
120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Method of Veryfying transactions?! on: September 08, 2018, 08:34:02 AM
Good concept but what confuse me is if this will be the new method, it's more likely a peer to peer which means to be able to transfer to someone I will be needing a high end computer and gpus that can support this? Or if not, what will be the new system?

So what if I can't afford to have this? I'll be left out, I guess.

I'm sorry for a lot of questions, I'm puzzled. Huh
