101  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HooLi Bitcoin Transaction Accelerator on: February 03, 2018, 11:34:16 AM
My transmission went through!  Cheesy

I followed the direction in the video link below and it went through. I don't know if it was a coincidence or not?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZSEPLpqNA8
It was just a coincidence although the method (2nd part) shown in the video (using ViaBTC) really works (if you get to successfully accelerate it).
If you click the block number that your transaction was included in, you can see that "BitFury" included your transaction in the block that they mined (not ViaBTC).

I dind't use VIA BTC. The video shows how to accelerate the transaction yourself. I thought before, that the Accelerator sites use some of your money to increase the fee. But all they do is get attention from the miners to your delayed transaction. They probably just do what is in that video.

So it will not drop to such a low level. There is strong resistance support sustaining the price at around 9000$. It dropped so that whales make profit, now it is time to rise to let them make profit another time.

Yeah. Just like you might become a whale and make a profit. It you think theirs something wrong with making a profit you could just donate it to someone instead.
103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin continue to fall to $ 6,000$-5,000$??? on: February 03, 2018, 10:00:22 AM
If you look at the past booms and busts their is a pattern. Last time it went to $1000 then declined to $200. Five times less than the high. So this time it went to $20,000 so it could go to $4000. And it could stay their for years. When it goes back up it could go as high as $400,000 per Bitcoin. And then it could decline to 80,000 dollars.  Cheesy

Bitcoin is becoming more mainstream so it could go up again tomorrow. I tend to buy when it is flat lined and nobody wants Bitcoin or other crypto's. I did buy buy some for $1000 dollars at the peek of the last wave. Patience paid off and it went way up. But it's a drag waiting for it to go back up when it takes a long time.

Theirs no guarantee of what will happen in the future. I'm betting it will go up much further.
The price is just a temporary in nature it will not go down as much as the start of the year 2017. With the start of the year 2018  50% higher than the start of 2017 so that would be the difference that we should be think of. If when we hold further or buy more how we earn in the end of 2018

Bitcoin is becoming more much more mainstream. Their are now big fund managers that include Bitcoin in their portfolios. So the price will probably hold at a higher level than the previous lows. People get caught up in the hysteria when it moves in price and buy and sell at the worst times.

I just hold it until it reaches the price I like and then cash out some. If you have a job with money in the Bank their is no reason to sell.

Bitcoin Core

Bitcoin Core makes making Full RBF transactions very easy. Simply go to the transactions list, right click the transaction that is stuck, and choose the "Abandon Transaction" option.

If that option is greyed out, then you must go to the Bitcoin Core datadir and delete the mempool.dat file. Then restart Bitcoin Core with the -walletbroadcast=0 option and then you should be able to use "Abandon Transaction".

If the above two options fail for some reason, then you can start Bitcoin Core with the -zapwallettxes option to clear all unconfirmed transactions from your wallet.

Once the transaction is either Abandoned or cleared from the wallet, you can simply go to the Send tab and send the Bitcoin again but make sure that you include a sufficient transaction fee.

Does anyone know exactly how to get the option -walletbroadcast=0 option to work? It sounds like a command line option to  to me. I don't know much about code. When I type it into the debug window console I get "Method not found (code -32601)".

Bitcoin should have a 1 rate fee for everyone. Because the fees are getting out of hand. Some will take advantage and won't pay any fee. And the miners are now kind of holding the transactions hostage.  This is making Bitcoin undependable and causing loss of confidence.
108  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HooLi Bitcoin Transaction Accelerator on: February 02, 2018, 08:48:35 AM
The core wallet also now has the option to increase the fee. So that is what I should have done but didn't spot the option before. Probably a recent option.  Roll Eyes

It doesn't work anyway after trying.
109  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HooLi Bitcoin Transaction Accelerator on: February 02, 2018, 08:42:50 AM
Thanks for the help.

I can see that the fee hasn't increased on my transaction on the block chain so the HooLi Accelerator is a scam douche site.  Grin

My problem is I don't have any Bitcoin left in the empty wallet. So I'll have to send some fee money to it. And then double spend the exact amount with a higher fee to the same address?

Would it help if I abandon the transaction from the receiving wallet? The receiving Armory wallet has that option. But it's greyed out on the sending Bitcoin Core wallet.
110  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HooLi Bitcoin Transaction Accelerator on: February 02, 2018, 06:03:05 AM
Thanks.  I'll try opening the wallet. But this may be difficult as I deleted it. Then restored it on another computer.

Paid said money. After about 4 days transaction still stuck?  Huh
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A question for Bitcoin holders about BitcoinCash on: August 08, 2017, 05:25:57 AM
For now Bitcoin Cash is just a great leverage used by the big mining companies. But I think there is a little chance that Bitcoin Cash will replace Bitcoin in the future. Maybe those chances are as big as the chances of Dogecoin to replace Bitcoin. Grin

I see it as 2 Bitcoins instead of only 1. Bitcoin split into 2 coins. Not really an alt coin.  They both have roughly the same supply of coins. They both have the right to a similar Bitcoin Logo and name. Experiments will be done with the Bitcoin Cash coin which  will likely pay off.   Smiley
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A question for Bitcoin holders about BitcoinCash on: August 08, 2017, 04:02:57 AM
When the blockchain hard forked, I did not care about splitting my coins. But when I saw it was trading at more than $500, I decided to split them later and to wait for the price to go higher. But the price dived and now I regret it.

What about the rest of you, have you already dumped?

Actually even you split your bitcoins, your bitcoins will not gone right ? You still have your bitcoin and have an additional bitcoin cash. I already dumped my bitcoin cash when the price still high, because i'm sure the price will not stay high because many people have many bitcoin cash too.

If you know what you're doing you will still have a wallet full of Bitcoins and another wallet full of Bitcoin cash coins. If not you could end up with nothing. If you're not an expert at moving keys around, wait until you know what you're doing.

I was notified by Coinbase that they would not honor Bitcoin Cash and that their was going to be some type of fork. Didn't know exactly what they were talking about so I just played it safe and waited it out. I only had less than 2 Bitcoins on their site. I wasn't aware until late 8/6/2017 that I would be getting free coins.

When I first spotted Bitcoin Cash on the crypto market I was pissed  because it was as if they were copying the logo of Bitcoin to fool dumb people. Now that I know what it is I like the idea, as I will be getting thousands of $ worth of free coins. Even as Bitcoin is already Skyrocketing!  Grin

I wouldn't be surprised if this coin goes 1 to 1 with Bitcoin once everyone understands what has taken place.

It's extremely risky to put all your coins up on an exchange. So I'm going to import keys into a new BTC Cash wallet. I'm running out of hard drive space on my computer so I'll have to get another with much more memory.

Looks like the Bitcoin Cash price has been recovering. Plus 32% today.  Cheesy
114  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Butterfly Labs on: August 04, 2015, 11:05:22 PM
At least Butterfly Labs were capable of making miners and eventually sent out working products. Most of these companies never deliver anything and run with the money.

I advise against it. But if you must buy a minor use a credit card and paypal. That way. If they don't deliver by the date promised you can get a refund whether they want to or not. If you use Bitcoin you will have to sue to get your money back if that is possible.
115  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTER has frozen withdraws Warning - I sent them BTC AFTER they reopened trusting on: March 30, 2015, 02:15:56 AM
Chinese exchanges... Maybe only Chinese should go there. Stick to exchanges which use English as the main language.

It's not because of the country in this case, as fox stated bter is a very unreliable company therefor it shouldn't be used.
I wonder why they stay online if they're continually getting "hacked". It could just be admins liquidating funds

I didn't lose anymore than a nickle. I knew better than to trust BTER  or any other exchange.

I can't get my trading records off the BTER site. They seem to have erased them. At least Vircurex didn't erase their trading records. It would be nice to have them in case I ever have to pay some taxes.
116  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase is now the biggest western exchange after asia... on: March 01, 2015, 06:48:40 PM
Coinbase charges me about $10 extra every time I buy Bitcoins. The Banks get something also. So no, I don't think they are doing me any favors and should raise fees.
117  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTER.com hacked - 7170 BTC stolen [DON'T KEEP YOUR MONEY ON AN EXCHANGE] on: March 01, 2015, 03:40:20 AM

So, after this mess, where would you be moving your altcoins ?   (redsn0w, how about a poll ?  Grin)

I wouldn't put any significant amount of coins on any exchange.  Cool

Especially on a low volume site that you won't be able to trade large amounts anyway.
118  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTER.com hacked - 7170 BTC stolen [DON'T KEEP YOUR MONEY ON AN EXCHANGE] on: February 26, 2015, 12:05:23 AM
I never put more than one Bitcoin up there. As soon as I was done trading I zapped the coins off their site and into my wallet.

I knew this was going to happen sooner or later. Why else would they pay interest. It worked for them. They tricked a lot of people into leaving their money up on their site. Now they run off with the coins claiming a hack. Either that or they were using  deposits to gamble with.   Why else would they pay interest to keep coins on their site?

Vircurex is now also offering interest. Wow! I'm going to get interest! I'm going to get interest! Your going to get ripped off again if you let them.

Cryptsy is also offering interest, only a tiny amount, but it's the same as Bter and Vircurex. I only started using Cryptsy the Christmas before last so I don't know if its ever been hacked. Has it ever had a hack like the Bter one?

I've never heard of Cryptsy being hacked. Tomorrow they can be hacked, they could have investments go against them, or they could run off with your coins. Don't leave more than you are willing to lose up on their site.

I lost a grand total of .02 Dollars up on the BTER site. Only because I couldn't move it off the site. That's .02 Dollars more than I wanted their greedy yellow hands to steal from me.

Thou shalt not leave more coins or fiat up on an exchange than thou is willing to lose.

After completing  trades, thou shalt remove all coins from the exchange.

If the coins cannot be withdrawn thou shalt not send any more coins up to the exchange. Until at which time said coins can be withdrawn.  The problem thou is having will be shared on forums all over the web until at which time the coins are returned.

If an exchange offers thou a lower than normal price for buying  coins that  cannot be withdrawn at this time. Turn your back and run. Lest  thou  be turned into a pillar of salt and lose more than thou already has.

If an offer of  interest is made on coins held on an exchange. Remove all coins immediately. They are either insolvent or are trying to get as many coins as possible before they claim a hack. Deceiving thou and others and are planning to pillage as much wealth as possible

120  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Countries with No Bitcoin Taxes on: December 21, 2014, 12:26:34 PM
I think basically any country that hasn't come out in the news and said "we are taxing bitcoin"  is still safe from the tax man for the time being.

As stands, it looks like most of the first world countries are taxing BTC, whereas 2nd and 3rd world countries can still get away with having to declare BTC

Oh great. I should be ok. I live in the USA. The most indebted country that has ever existed in history.
