No, I am not talking about bending over the banks but exactly replacing them. But you cannot replace them if you cannot access a wide audience. Most people involved in crypto are tech savvy or at least they wanna be (well judging from many people's comments many have no clue). For every one here there are thousands out there who have no idea what's going on and how to access crypto. Whenever I talk about crypto to people, their first question is "where can I use crypto? Are there atms or shops widely that accept crypto as a means of transaction?"

Also, my suggestion was that the zero site would act as a facilitator, the way eftpos machines work. It's not difficult to do this as it was years ago; Nowadays, to get an eftpos machine is super easy, I started a company a few months ago and I swipe/tap cards via my tablet/phone using an app, it's so easy. If zero reaches the masses this way, it will be a huge advantage over other crypto that take high fees, are slow and require high transaction fees.

I think this is a very good idea: buying zero using a credit/debit card directly from the zero website.
The zero website could act as an intermediator between the retail customer and i.e. cryptopia, and save the retail customer from the hussle of registering in the exchange, then convert fiat into btc and then into zer.
This could be revolutionary for a crypto and I think it should be considered seriously.

I have no idea how feasible/easy it may be, involving financial regulations etc, but it could help make zero accessible to a much wider customer base.

Για άλλα coins ναι. Έχουν υψηλότερη κατανάλωση βέβαια, αλλά αν τις βρεις σε καλή τιμή ίσως είναι καλή αγορά. Και πάλι όμως, συνήθως με την τιμή που έχουν παίρνεις δύο RX480/580 και έχεις μεγαλύτερο hash.
Σίγουρα θα έχουν και μεγαλύτερη τιμή μεταπώλησης. όπως βλέπεις δεν υπάρχει άσπρο ή μαύρο, εξαρτάται τι ζητάς.

It is only possible in Linux. I refer to all complaints coming from people running Windows. It is very clear on the OptiminerZero git page that the miner only works for 8GB cards and if you want to use a 4GB card you need to download a different version. OptiminerEquihash is the updated version of the miner, but it is meant to work only in Linux. These things are very clear if you bother read a couple of lines instead of clicking on the first download link appearing first on the list.

Don't just look at the exchange price Cryptopia reports, look at the volume of orders.
Look at the sell and buy orders.
Right now, all sell orders up to 39K are very small, and there is a big buy order at 30.796K for 3000 zeros.
So buyers are lurking to buy your zeros because there is a significant chance zero will rise again even higher.

Half hashrate for 4GB cards.
An 8GB RX580/480 hashes between 10 and 11 S/s usually.

I get about 30-40% cpu usage on a rig with 3 gtx1070 and three amd480 with a Fenom II X4 965 on Windows 7.
So all these 100% cpu usage issues mean that you need at least a 4 core cpu or that you haven't properly gotten rid of unnecessary Windows processes or that something is wrong with your rig (it could be a hardware issue, for example a bad riser or a faulty cable or improper power distribution between gpus and risers).

Γιατί χρειάζεται να γίνουν οι απαραίτητες επιβεβαιώσεις. Έτσι είναι ο αλγόριθμος, μην ανησυχείς.

Κάθε μερικές ώρες αλλά παίρνει 24+ ώρες για να επιβεβαιωθούν τα coins.

Περί εξοπλισμού:

Ναι, διαφορετικές gpu μπορούν να συνδυαστούν στα Windows, και όπως κάποιος είπε, και στο ethos (δεν το έχω επιβεβαιώσει προσωπικά για το τελευταίο).

Όπως έχει γραφτεί και στο παρελθόν, οι καλύτερες gpu για mining είναι είτε οι RX480/580 8GB είτε οι GTX1070, από άποψης τιμής/απόδοσης/τιμής μεταπώλησης.

Ναι, και οι RX 470/570 κάνουν, όπως και οι GTX 1060/1070Τi/1080/1080Ti αλλά:

470/570: έχουν πολύ χαμηλότερη αξία αγοράς αλλά και μεταπώλησης, και συμβουλεύω να αποφύγετε τα 4GB μοντέλα, ειδικά αν θέλετε να σκάψετε ζίρο.
1060: το 3GB μοντέλο σύντομα δε θα μπορεί να σκάψει ούτε καν eth, για ζίρο ξεχάστε το. Το 6GB μοντέλο έχει πολύ καλή τιμή και απόδοση, αλλά προς το παρόν είναι ασύμβατο με τον miner του ζίρο, εκτός κι αν είστε γκουρού και το κάνετε να δουλέψει, ή αν ξέρετε το κατάλληλο άτομο να τις σετάρει για ζίρο.
1070Τi/1080/1080Ti: Υψηλότερη κατανάλωση και τιμή. Πολύ καλύτερες για equihash & neoscrypt. Πολύ καλύτερη αξία μεταπώλησης.

Η προσωπική μου επιλογή είναι Sapphire Nitro+480/580 ή Pulse.
