101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: July 29, 2018, 10:30:37 AM
Profits look to be extremely low right now.  Not profitable at all with the current cards.  Sucks.
Now it`s normal. 1080ti is a really powerful GPU but if you count with price/profitability - 1060(3) much better then 1080ti. If you have enough free space of course.

I guess it would be a faster ROI because of the price of 1060 TI's but like you said, you'd need a hell of a lot of room to set up 24 1060's and that power draw would be a beast.

It's not only that, you must also calculate expense that rise with additional cables, risers, PSUs, mbo and all stuff you need if you cannot hookup all cards to one rig, and you usually cannot.
ROI cannot be calculated just from GPU perspective because it gives you false results.

Lol. You just calculating one-off costs. As for me - 1 rig 1060 costs 1.7k$. GPU costs 1.4k$. This is 82% of full price. Yet, with 1080ti rigs you have to buy really powerful PSU, that costs much more then little PSU for 1060 rig. Last my PSU were 1.5KWt PSU for server usage. It costs about 400$ and for full 1080ti rig i need 2 such PSU. For 1060 rig PSU costs about 120-150$.

Why LOL?

Like people have already said, you can daisy chain that same PSU that you are using currently if that is your only concern.

There is also one more thing in calculation and that is SPACE where you are mining. How much space someone have is a major deal in what cards to use.
If you have only 2-3 m2 available how much will you be able to get from it if you fill it with cards from top to bottom.

the cheap one is us post office flat rate   medium box I think  that is about 6 to 10 days  to most of the world.

fedex is fedex one  is faster then the other.

one is about 6 days the other is about 3 days

what country are you in?

I am in EUROPE, so I don't know If i can take that flat rate 75 USD shipping, also I don't intend to pay tax to them because tax will be payed to my customs when it arrives to my country.

Also because my customs will be charging me TAX on complete value (Goods + shipping) it important to say that if i buy something for 200USD and shipping is 150 USD, customs will be charging TAX on 350 USD.

Because of that I don't want to for someone to return me overpriced shipping later because my expense would be expanded to bigger proportions because of VAT.

I think this is so unprofessional to start major operation without testing the web shop.

I am also from EU. GPUHoarder said that the VAT you pay on their side includes the import tax, so you should pay only once and customs should not charge you. Hovewer i have no hard evidence that it is really that way.

I really don't understand how they could pay TAX for me?
That doesn't sound right at all.

No one can pay tax in your behalf, only thing they must do is provide papers that states how much are the goods in USD, how much is the shipping in USD and state of origin that goods came from.
Otherwise it could happens that you pay TAX on all that together and that would be very bad.

And that is something that usually happens with USA companies that doesn't give a crap about EU market.

104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin. on: July 21, 2018, 11:04:38 AM
Just a simple question:
How do you delete a user account on MiningPoolHub?

Why would you delete account on mining pool, sooner or later you will probably want to mine something there?

108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do you use hdmi dummy plug for your mining rig? on: July 19, 2018, 01:34:19 PM
When I was running win 10 and want to remote desktop in I was using dummy plugs cause the screen size sucked but I stopped using them because one of my gpu's that had the dummy plug burnt out so I got nervous and removed them from my rigs now I'm running hiveos and it's stable been running for months with no issues rigs crashing or win somehow sneaking in a upgrade after I had it disabled, I wish Microsoft would give us back control of our pc's without going through a bunch of crap to disable updates

Are u sure that your card burned because of dummy plug in the first place?
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.9 (Windows/Linux) on: July 19, 2018, 01:31:06 PM
I'm running 5 x rx570. I'm getting this issue with running Claymore all of a sudden with this rig. Effectively it seems to initialize well and then the cmd prompt just shuts down automatically. All I see in the logs  are the following :
Code:
22:39:05:467	2134	Pool eth-asia1.nanopool.org removed from the list
22:39:05:467 2134 ETH: 1 pool is specified
22:39:05:482 2134 Main Ethereum pool is asia1.ethermine.org:4444

It gets to this point and shuts down. No idea where to begin to fix it.

I'm running the following in the start.bat :
Code:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool asia1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal 0x0516b92873402874c62ac6da0fe93eefd356fcbd -mode 1

Does anyone know what to do or can give guidance?

Thanks.

try with this:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool asia1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal 0x0516b92873402874c62ac6da0fe93eefd356fcbd.rig1 -epsw x -mode 1
pause
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do you use hdmi dummy plug for your mining rig? on: July 19, 2018, 10:21:36 AM
If you're running Windows and using the mobo graphics (IGD), running a dummy plug (or having a monitor connected to the mobo DVI/HDMI port), ensures that Windows itself will use the internal graphics for the desktop, and not steal resources from one of the GPU's used for mining.

If you RDP to a rig @ 4k, you can easily observe the hash rate dropping on one of your GPU's if the desktop is not being rendered by the IGD.  Not a big deal if you have your rig set to auto log in and start mining and keep an eye on things pool side, and/or use something like Awesome Miner to monitor.  But if you like to keep a RDP session going and monitor the rig that way, it makes sense to force the desktop to use the IGP.  RDP'ing at a lower resolution like 1280x1024 doesn't have as much impact as doing it at 4k.

Ok, but how to force windows to use iGPU?
On hardware level I can just plug monitor or Dummy plug, how to set it on software level so I don't have to use any dummy plug?
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do you use hdmi dummy plug for your mining rig? on: July 19, 2018, 07:41:26 AM
I know this topic is old but I have situations where one Nvidia card hashing only 50%  if there is nothing connected to HDMI.
Win10, latest Nvidia drivers, MBO is Asus mining expert with iGPU enabled and set as primary.

I have plugged in monitor directly on HDMI port on MBO and hashing is at 100% as it should be.

I have rented Ethash (Dager Hashimoto) rig on Mining Rig Rental but connection to stratum+tcp://europe.ethash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:17020 is rejected.
MRR admin sad that pool is closing connection.
When I tried to mine on f2pool with same rig, everything was perfect

Have you setup your worker correctly?
That message you get when worker cannot get authorised on the pool, check for worker name and password in your script. Cool

This project has continued to grow or has stopped. I see github has stopped the updates. And prices go down every day. from 80$ and now 1$. CMO antonio moratti has also left the project? what's next?

Price is currently 1,8 USD, Antonio Moratti needed to leave due to some comments that were not appropriate for that kind of position.
There will be major update after price stabilise a little because if they release it now it will not have any benefits to any of us due to current state of market and situation of GBX.
Have faith Wink

Ok. I'm still waiting for that. Prices go down every day. I have hold my 600 GBX when the price is 14$ and now I will still hold it. Wait for the GBX to come back up

Yeah I can feel your pain, but now all you can do is set and forget. Any move would be major loss of money at this prices.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - Are you ready for the future? on: July 16, 2018, 09:28:36 PM
Is there any chance to see this year 1 BTX=100$ or more?

Are you serious? I don't see why this coin should have any value at all, now it's struggling to reach $2 price.

Same as some other coins, and they are now beyond few hundred dollars a piece so everything is possible.
When you open your mind to endless options you will realise that from 1 or 2 USD to 100 - 200 USD is not so big gap as it seems from mathematical perspective.

116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: July 16, 2018, 09:17:50 PM
We must also take one more think in calculation, GPUs usually have 3 year warranty on them, this Acorns cost some nice money but question is will they ROI themselves in time before they die?
I can go to may local store to return GPU but for Acorn I don't know how much warranty I have and where to ship it if it start acting weird or die competently.
With 24/7 operation that is something that must be taken into account.

ps. Can someone tell me the difference between their shipping methods?

I really don't think we can expect any time soon some mayor price run, this is very big team with agenda to become leader on blockchain technology in that part of the world.
They will not do any sudden moves, announcements or any other stuff that small team does on regular basis to correct it's price. They will play on long-run because time is on their side.

Why does not the team write anything on the forum? Where can I find news? In social networks?

Twitter and discord.

Well HUSH has gone down because inner circle of people droped huge amount of hush, it's  not possible to go down from 15 USD to 0.5 USD by just bad marketing or no marketing at all.
If you are running some kind of business you cannot expect for people to search for hidden clues and info regarding our project, instead you must keep public informed.
I don't think that any kind of chat can do that effectively. Roll Eyes
