101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your strategy for hodling or selling? on: October 06, 2018, 11:54:11 AM
While this might seem like something very intuitive, it is in fact one of the most difficult things I have noticed in the crypto world. When should I sell and when should I buy for maximum profit and minimum loss? After a lot of mishaps in this space, I have come to understand that a system, strictly followed is the key.

My own system is very simple. It doesnt matter when I buy, I could buy at an ATH or midway between an ATH and an ATL; but for the sake of security I would always sell at an ATH. This system assumes there would always be a correction following an ATH, sometimes a very damaging correction that it becomes a perceived market crash. No matter when I buy, provided I don't run into some life threatening issue, I believe there would always be a new ATH, so I wait, and I sell immediately that ATH comes. The I sit back and watch the greed and FOMO take over, wait for the correction, then buy again. Rinse and repeat. The only constant that this formula relies on is that there would always be a new ATH. So far this fact is yet to be disputed.

What is your system?

HODLing definitely a good idea right now. A lot of serious companies have started looking at blockchain with regards to supply chain, manufactaring, business intelligence and so on. Just spread out and also put a some money on very low market caps like bigbom, bridge, lendingblock, hacken, signals.. and so on
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After a Bad Sell on: October 04, 2018, 03:18:24 PM
So this happened to me twice this week, first I sold Bitcoin Cash and the next day, it started booming and has not up considerably and still going strong, then I sold Golem and boom it goes too.

What do you do in such situations? When you finally sell for a small profit after a long wait but then you realize that you missed on big profit with you bad timing.
How do you deal with this? Any tips to minimize this or overcome after such bad timing decisions?

You cannot expect always to sell the top and to buy at the lowest price. Bitcoin Cash hm not my cup of tea but surely something I would expect to be around for some time into the future. Many things looking dirt cheap right now. Spread out enough. Buy into like 10 different projects after doing your research and then just give it some time. In the meantime keep learning. Blockchain as a topic will only be getting bigger.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptocurrency October discussion on: October 04, 2018, 03:14:36 PM
I hope that this month, will welcome a strong capitalization from new investors, then the market will flourish, and you, do you think like me?

The BTC chart looks ruined. Still I see a lot of reasons for the market to pump significantly. Question is, is BTC able to recover or is the rest of the market able to pump without BTC? In the time I am looking at crypto that never really happened. BTC Dominance: 52.0% right now.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to invest all my savings in cryptocurrencies on: October 04, 2018, 03:07:38 PM
Am thinking of investing my savings instead keeping it in the bank,is cryptocurrency a wise choice?

Depends on your volume of savings. If it is a few K put it in different cryptos. If it is more, split it between crypto, real estate and silver coins. The silver coins is more for the mad max scenario while crypto well is the star trek scenario. Real estate hm long term always good but totally overpriced in general right now because the rich put significant money into real estate already.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the best 3 new exchanges in 2018 on: October 04, 2018, 03:02:45 PM
nowadays there are so many exchanges in circulation, if we look at some of reviews, there are already thousands of exchanges, I want to ask you all, what are the best 3 new exchanges in 2018?

Does Binance still count as new? Definitely in my top 3. I also like cobinhood as I expect their volume to start increasing significantly with introduction of margin trading at the 16th. Also I like Idex as best DEX at the moment. It makes for good shopping opportunities for new projects.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Token price dropping after ICO, why so? on: October 04, 2018, 03:00:13 PM
I have taken part of some ICOs and everytime their token price goes down after the ICO.. why is that so?

I suspect you are talking about more recent ICO. The ICO are raising funds mainly in BTC and ETH. Both their prices have kept falling this year which reduces the fiat capital raised by those projects. Overall we are also in a bear market where ICO are seen as especially high risk and people flee to BTC or stable coins.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding EOS? on: September 30, 2018, 08:23:21 PM
EOS is a new block chain architecture introduced by the software http://EOS.IO, which aims to realize the performance extension of distributed applications. Notice that it is not like COINS and etheric fang is money, but on http://EOS.IO tokens issued on a software project, known as block chain 3.0 (from the network), solely on the rules of the development and direction of the above, we can know the grand goal of the EOS, the etheric lane has been very successful from virtual currency to a variety of applications, but also the basis of limited to 2.0, and EOS is in the etheric lane 3.0 model developed on the basis of block chain, what is block chain 3.0? The simple idea is to apply the block chain technology to any field in our reality, which is the practical application of block chain 3.0 in reality.

If the EOS can actually implement the application of block chain 3.0, it is highly likely that the powerful EOS will surpass ETH's value in the future. There are also reports that EOS has raised billions of dollars in funding, and that enthusiasm is not far behind any of the previous blockchain technology and virtual currency. However, since the current EOS main network has not been launched, it is only a trend, so it is necessary to know whether the EOS can achieve the desired effect or whether the EOS will be online.

At present, it seems that EOS can surpass ETH, and if it does operate according to the block chain 3.0 mode, I think it is very likely. However, the hypothesis and the practical application are two different things, so it is only after the EOS is fully implemented that the results can be obtained.

No EOS for me. Only bought into Elementh, which was forked from EOS and is currently only trading on Bleutrade and Idex. Volume is negligible but maybe worth a look if you believe in EOS.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in BTC, Altcoin, or ICO on: September 30, 2018, 08:21:52 PM
There are so many New ICO's these day ? Is that safe to invest in ICO ? any 1 invested in 2018 ? 2017 was the year of ICO's but is that still safe to invest ? or how to know which ICO is good to invest ? like GIG9, Eligma, Medicalchain, Trustedthealth

I would go for low market cap ALTs right now. In case they manage to push significantly below 6K I would wait for BTC where the actual bottom is and then consider buying.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Or Trading? on: September 30, 2018, 08:17:23 PM
I will ask you which one is the most beneficial of these two things? what will you choose? and explain why you chose it. who knows it will give input to everyone who reads. if I myself might be a bounty can be profitable and maybe the results of the bounty will lead to trading. What is your opinion? share your experience here

What kind of comparison is that? I like to do a bounty from time to time. Trading is not for me as I am not risk averse enough. Trading based on a bounty I could only imagine if I can use those tokens in a trading competition after initial listing. I am a HODLer at heart.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what to do when the market is weakening now on: September 28, 2018, 11:32:46 AM
the current crypto market is so weak, there is no increase in the price of crypto, even the price of crypto is getting down, what should we do when the market weaken at this time?

Traditional ALT season is around the corner if there is one this year. From that perspective buying good ALTs at this chance offering much higher chances than risks in my opinion.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ripple cross $5 this year ? on: September 28, 2018, 11:31:03 AM
Will Ripple be able to repeat the history again this year ? Last year we predicted the value of $5 for one Ripple but we got almost more than $3 ? Kindly share your feedback about the Ripple.

I am not a fan of Ripple and never will be. I would always prefer Ethereum or one of the so called 3rd generation blockchains like Matrix. Also I would rater look at the blocklattice projects Nano and Dexon.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops 101 for a newbie on: September 28, 2018, 11:28:43 AM
Hey guys. I’m a newbie to the crypto world and I want to learn more about airdrops.

1) What is an airdrop
2) How to participate and get coins
3) How do I use the coins I get
4) What to look for/avoid

Thanks in advance!

1. free tokens distributed by a new project to create interest and attention often linked to tasks like joining telegram and following on twitter
2. You sign up and complete the tasks.
3. Depends on the project. Is it a pure currency function or is other functionality linked to the token?
4. Projects dropping 70% or more might later not have much left to actual investors. Do the same checks you would do before participating in a
regular ICO. Dont spread your information to freely and never forward your private key.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How long time will take to market rise ? on: September 28, 2018, 11:24:46 AM
How long time will take the markets go high ? What are your ideas about market cycle ?

This market getting worse day by day so what should I do for it? Should I wait for more time?

BTC chart is looking interesting right now but today a number of BTC futures expiring. Bear market still intact so possible final dip still on the cards. If you look into buying ALTs I feel it is already a great time to go bargain shopping.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Merchandise from blockchain projects on: September 26, 2018, 09:06:12 AM
I have just received a package from Bridge, with different merchandise like coffee mugs, tshirts, pens... that kind of stuff.

I love that kind of early crypto days memorabilia. So far only had the lottery card from Eventchain. In my collection so far Bridge will now display very prominently. I am also waiting for cobinhood/dexon to send the promised package.

I wish more companies would do that and I believe in the effect of that. I have instantly spread part of this merchandise here to the crypto community within my company.
115  Economy / Speculation / Re: No Bitcoin bullrun this year. on: September 25, 2018, 07:59:41 AM
A lot of people telling that there will be no Bitcoin bullrun this year. Do you think it is TRUE? I am worried because Bitcoins price might fall to the lowest this year.

Too early to call that as there is more than a quarter of the year left. I do not see it falling below 6K USD as it has bounced there again and again. But the chartists will only be happy it seems if we dip to 4.5 to 5K. Decision could be made in couple of days when different trend lines cross around 6K BTC.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3 ETH where to invest on: September 25, 2018, 07:54:41 AM
i have 3 eth is there are any ico which will give me even 3X return on my investment. or is there are any hyped ico i should go for or any undervalued altcoin

3x from ICO more than questionable right now. Better put it on recent ICO that got destroyed. For example:
Moneytoken
Bigbom
Lendingblock
Shivom
Elementh
..

It is a long list.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: shall i convert my bitcoins to ethereum? on: September 22, 2018, 01:14:32 PM
i was thinking to sell my bitcoins and buy ethereum what do you thinkl guys

Why would you do that? The current activity in Ripple might indicate that Bitcoin is going to move. If Bitcoin goes up you will want to have it. If we get that much discussed final dip, all ALTs might go down more than Bitcoin.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What does crypto mean to you on: September 22, 2018, 01:11:57 PM
What does crypto mean to you - a means to a fast buck or a step into the future.

1.getting in touch with a lot of very smart people
2.financial freedom
3.massive potential for positive change in the world
4. the end of fiat money, emancipation of underbanked people, end of corruption, the start of the future
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP - Ripple is back with a bang ! on: September 21, 2018, 03:13:13 PM
According to CoinMarketCap XRP is flying high and increasing for the first time since the Jan 2018 surge when it nearly hit $3.50

Just 10 days ago it was trading at $0.26 but as of today (21st September 2018) it is trading at $0.90 (+91% in last 24 hrs) which is 0.00010311 BTC (+79% increase in last 24 hrs)

Bitcoin is market capital is now    $115,996,227,671
Ethereum market capital is now   $23,379,960,058
XRP market capital is now           $26,678,022,173

XRP 24 hour volume is            $3,192,760,355
Ethereum 24 hour volume is     $2,362,880,802

Do you think this is the period when XRP cements it place in the long run as second only to Bitcoin by displacing Ethereum?

It is nonsense to compare Ripple with Bitcoin and Ethereum. I am really getting sick of it. This is the next pump and dump for Ripple. They will put it on 2 USD again only to dump it again after and in the process using that bubble money to buy Bitcoin, where the real value is. Really sad. I was wondering when I saw the latest news but I will not touch Ripple for a principle.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple the next bitcoin? on: September 21, 2018, 03:04:42 PM
As we all have seen ripple has been quite strong these past few days and with all that it has done over the past months compared to most other currencies and the launch of xrapid is actually starting to show in its price.
There is so much talk about ripple taking over bitcoin and being 10$ what are your thoughts on this ?

Hm I still do not trust Ripple. It has the reputation to be a tool for the banks to infiltrate the crypto market. It is still a fact that Ripple not decentralized, no proof of work and no open access. That being said does not mean, Ripple as a project with listing all the big banks as customers cannot be a success. Ripple is not of interest for me. Other potential problems mentioned but do not quote me on that is the unregulated supply, meaning it can increase anytime and the missing utility of the token itself.
