Where was it purchased from? Price?
103  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase says my $.28 BTC buy is high risk.. on: February 22, 2014, 10:14:34 PM
Just to follow-up.  I tried to purchase 1 BTC yesterday from Coinbase and was also denied with the same explanation as before.  At this point I have to assume it's my bank that is causing the issue- as was mentioned earlier.

It is for sure your bank.  A week or two ago for shoots and giggles I tested purchases of $3 and sells of $3 and it went through successfully.

Credit Unions are your solution.

Buying 4 Gox coins for my real 1.  Willing to purchase small sums up to 40 gox coins!
105  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: February 20, 2014, 03:47:19 AM
As a silent lurker in this thread, your forcing my hand to post lol.

Most of us lurkers are probably (hopefully?) thinking the same thing "Better to Remain Silent and Be Thought a Fool than to Speak and Remove All Doubt".  At least for me, I don't contribute because I am not nearly at the level of quality this thread deserves when actual discussion is going on.  Obviously since this is Rpietila's thread, he is free to delete what he wants but if you wish to avoid that, then there is a short list of 5 things to be aware of, aka "Read before Posting" https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=400235.msg4331689#msg4331689

There are lots of trolls, the community as a whole is failing to combat it.  We should pitch in, and probably its something that would need to be done if this forum is to be saved.

If you decide to go, we will definitely miss one of the bigger contributors to this scene.  The SSS post changed my view on bitcoin and is what made me stay and read the Economics section regularly.  Ive seen it posted and cited regularly on reddit.com, so its more than just bitcointalk.org you have influenced as you are impacting the mainstream users and future bitcoin hodlers!

Looks great.  Seems to be a bit taller than others i've seen.  Maybe an issue for those with smaller 6-10 inch risers
107  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: February 10, 2014, 05:32:28 AM
Refund paid by Steamboat!

I am glad its finally over.  Still.. LSD is exploring creating another asic.  I like that.  Hopefully they will be ready to ship miners.
108  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: February 06, 2014, 01:32:56 AM
If I accept the refund now does that mean I don't have the option of funding the prototype board? Need to know more about this board, what chip is it being designed for, asicminer gen 3??
Any details on refunding shipping costs?

I found that part interesting, but seems to be glossed.

If you accept, you get bitcoins... If you decline.. you get Huh   Everybody is going for the bitcoins!

Nobody has posted the email but here it is.

Thank you for your patience as we near the end of the Fusion16/Klondike project. Please find below the details of your order and the BTC refund amount, which includes the assembly and shipping/hosting fees. If the information is correct, please click the accept link. If there is an error, please click the change information link to input the corrected information.

A prototype unit which reuses a large portion of the components has been developed with testing and debugging underway, but it is unclear as to whether the unit can be manufactured with a reasonable chance of ROI. In the event the decision is made to sell the remaining component stock, an email with further information will follow.

Refund Amount: BTC

I've bolded the part above that most people seem to have missed.  Any clues.. I imagine as loyal LSD followers we would get first dibs on such an item

LMAO,I just gave the BFL miner a "review" on TD.Do the same guys!!!  Wink

It looks like they have hidden it.  The search page shows:  http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/search.asp?keywords=butterfly+labs with 1 review, however upon looking at the item, it says zero reviews!

HRMMM!!!!!

@NinjaTech.org team -- Please, allow an option during checkout for "Saturday Delivery Stickers".  My package is going to be in my city saturday around 1am, but UPS refuses to allow pickup/delivery until the expected delivery date of Jan 27th... because it was not sent with a Saturday Delivery Sticker.    Cry   See More:  http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/resources/ship/packaging/docs/labels.html#Saturday+Delivery+Sticker

Did yours ship direct from China?  Ninja is just the middleman.  He has no control over the shipping as all the UPS ANTs from China are shipped from BITMAIN directly no matter if you bought from Bitmain, Sushi, or Ninja.
*snip*
For the record I too have a UPS ANT to arrive on Monday due to the same situation you are in...

I ordered from Ninja.  That sticker will make it possible under bad circumstances... like ours.

I did get GreaterNinja to respond and he was helpful, and received complimentary upgraded shipping (There is something else here but that's between me and GN). The tracking email arrived today at 4am PST/7am EST.

IMHO, Bitmain provides the best shipping speed and customer service.  With a North American Distributor, you would expect that it would equal or exceed the precedent thats been started (Bitmain + Sushi).  Right now they are below both, I guess as they "work the kinks out" of starting up the distribution center we should see it greatly improve as it moves from a Part-time Distro, to Full-Time Distro.  I have more BTC I wish to spend, but my first test purchase was not quite as smooth as I had hoped...

Thanks Ninja! Looking forward to seeing a tracking number soon   Smiley

Greaterninja, I sent you a PM.

Ditto!

Edit -- I was really expecting Saturdays orders to have been processed and shipped since all of Fridays went out on Monday.   Cry
119  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 2.2 BTC/Each - OFFICIAL BITMAIN NORTH AMERICAN DISTRIBUTOR NINJATECH.ORG on: January 21, 2014, 12:44:38 AM

+1 to DebitMe.

Some of you guys chose free 3 business day shipping after 5pm on a Friday.
The best I could do for all of our customers was ship today 2nd day air. for free.  I really find it disappointing I am being haggled for coupons when its the first business day of shipping.
Our team has worked several 18 hour days for 4+ weeks now.  Please be patient as we are trying our best.

ALL Friday orders were shipped out Friday and today, Free UPS 2nd Day Air.

V/R,

GN

Cant wait for saturday orders to ship out!
120  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 2.2 BTC/Each - OFFICIAL BITMAIN NORTH AMERICAN DISTRIBUTOR NINJATECH.ORG on: January 19, 2014, 01:17:11 PM

Starting Next Monday, we will start shipping units again.  I have scheduled more incoming shipments with Bitmain.

I ordered around noon PST on jan 18th, when I saw a post saying you still have orders in stock (as well as the website)... but my order still shows processing.  With your newest post, I have to wait 8+ days for shipping?
