Brief update on Hash Card Scam.
"But first disclaimer: there are many things going behind the scenes which we can not reveal if we don’t want to compromise our efforts.
Hash Card Scam is currently investigated by police (in more than one jurisdiction, officially and unofficially), professional bounty hunters (that take money for... you know, finding people and talking with them) and selected members of the community. You might be interested that there are 4 people behind this scam - 2 from Poland, 1 from Ukraine and 1 from Bangladesh/London. We got copies of fake passport of Goch and got access to National Citizen database of Poland (thanks to Police help), establishing that the name was fake. Now work is being done to connect Goch and Kozłowski with their real personalities. This might be successful really soon, since we already done the same with the guy from Ukraine who was using name Vasilly Gulyar (can not reveal his real name here not to compromise our plan). We connected him with his real identity and our people visited medium city of Zhitomir in Ukraine where he comes from. They went to his flat but it was recently sold. We targeted 2 female members of his family now and are arranging some things regarding that (again can not reveal what we are planning to do). Fourth guy Noor Zillur was using his real name. He fled the country of Bangladesh. Again we targeted his close ones and there is a chance that someone will sell him out for money. We want them to cross borders so they will be apprehended. The goal is to stop one of them and make him sell the rest, even if they are not in touch his testimony will help imprison the others. Of course we are always open to negotiations - if one of them gets to use before the others do than he will be treated more gently. Right now we are looking for community members from Poland, Ukraine and UK (specifically London) to help with something, so PM me if you are from one of those countires. ETN had a great future, great idea of specific marketing (mobile payment and mining), but the steps they made later ruin the future.
I will just point to mining part. ETN lost thier supproters from the first day. GPU miners. Today there are 111000 GPU rigs connected to pools (only CN variants, not all miners), most of them was ETN supporters, and partly hodlers.
When ETN decide to go back to ASIC, even prediction of that step ruin the price from 200 to 180 satoshies. I predict in that time discussions that price went below 100...unfortunately... we see the results... Lose over 100000 supporters is not a good plan...

The owners of this company can not make an easy exit scam, because they are known by name, and company is registered in UK. They broke a few EU laws, and they will finish on court.
Check their Facebook, thousands of unsatisfied customers.
- first, they convert lifetime contracts to one year contracts
- they stop profit payments because of "lower profit than maintenance", how another mining companies are still profitable (especially now when BTC is over 7500USD)?
- they did not improve their facilities and not make any actions to try to optimize their costs
- they cancel the agreements according to specific article in their agreement. Unfortunately for them that article is in collision with EU low, and there is no contract what can be above the European Union laws.
- there are people what invest tens of thousands in their "mining", I think they will not let it...
- they sold their services to USA citizens. If one of their USA investors report them for fraud in USA, they are responsible by USA law... what will be interested...

You're not going to get that long. The difficulty takes a bit of time to adjust to sudden increases and decreases in hashrates. It'll likely settle to around $6-8 unless the coin value jumps, and then lower when the next batch ships.
Right, or when You notice big network hashing power increase. You will know that Bitmain and Innosilicon start mining in silence with new 2 Mh/s beasts.... |

Are you serious? ASICs might put the whole network under high risks due to its potentially dominant hashrates and higher risk of replay attacks. Exactly, a lot of hashing power in hands of few owners...specially when Bitmain start mining in silence with a new 1Mhs Cryptonight beasts. |

This coin ETN has been trashed again by ASICS. The price is a reflection. Instead of thousands of miners earning ETN, you have a few with ASICS making all the coins. Nothing remarkable about it. Same old shit again, just another day.  This choice to fork back is all about greed and politics. Only ones benefiting are the devs, Bitmain, and the FEW miners who own ASICS and are now once again mining all the ETN. Centralized ETN mining is back! Nothing but smoke and mirrors about this fork...... Be lucky to see ETN hit 200 again, now that the markets will be flooded. We will see some true "mine and dump" from the ASIC miners. It was fun GPU mining again while it lasted Only thing remarkable is how the devs have screwed up this coin again..... If they had good code writers instead of cloning ETN we may have had something special. Its all water over the dam now anyways. Good luck everyone. Bag holders keep holding! lol Fully agreed... ... and when we add the devs statement that they forked back to ASIC because of Exchange condition... sad story... IMO there is no point of wasting time dwelling on the switch to ASIC.
Let's wish ETN good luck and hope it will rise in recognition and price.
We all wish the best luck to ETN, but I think that all our wishes will not help. Price is lower and lower... :-( What We have here... the CEO of ETN Team confirm that they initiate a new blockchain fork, because Coinbene (the exchange what possibly list the ETN) worried about ETN network stability! Why, they are worried? Does they now something more than ETN team? Is it usual that Exchange gives directions to coin owners/devs about changing of algorithm? (Do You know some other coin what change his algo because of exchange?) We remember the blocked wallets, delayed trading, from the start of ETN. Changing of coin algorithm is a serious thing, coins do not change algos every month. |

This is buy time to increase the bags it is very cheap as compare with ATH. There is very big community behind this and on other hand dev are also trying to give this project a great chance to become more useful.
That's the same thing people said two months ago and I bought some coins. After buying, the price just kept going down. I tried averaging down to cut my losses but nah. It was a fruitless effort as people kept dumping on me without mercy. I don't think the team is doing enough for the project. The updates has reduced significantly just like the price. Even their once active Telegram community is now a ghostland. How to believe in coin, team and CEO, who recorded a video on their official website (29.6.2018), that they are very satisfied with situation after first fork, that everything is great etc. Only 3 days later they announce new fork and start to spread the news that GPU miners do not want to mine ETN ?!?! They made such a huge decisions only in 3 days, or they do not know what they are doing? In today announcement of ETN,after the new fork, CEO gave some information that clearly confirm the community rumors. There was an info that Coinbene will deeply examine ETN blockchain, prior of any listing. ETN CEO directly declare that they got a condition from Coinbene to fork back to ASIC miners prior of any listing!!! Knowing the very good relations between Bitmain and Coinbene... Here is a today quotation from www.cryptobriefing.com: "The fork, which Ells preferred to call an “urgent update”, was also needed for the company to sign commercial deals as well as to finalize its listing on the Coinbene crypto exchange. “They [Coinbene] were worried about the network’s stability”, said Ells."Another statement from today showing a huge lack of understanding, and trying to explain why they fork back without any reason. They said that it was because of potential Nicehash generated 51% attack. They said that someone with 3000USD could made a successful attack. Maybe, but they forgot to check the price of "old" cryptonight on Nicehash, they will found that price for "old" cryptonight is much lower than for V7 version. It is unbelievable that this team earned over 40 millions of USD in ICO and now act like this. So, who cares about coin owners or ICO investors... |

I think its because of the news of a Top 10 Exchange
Unfortunately, coin price now declining. Despite of positive news. Coinbene is a respectable big exchange. They delayed ETN listing for the end of July. Probably they are making additional checkups of ETN blockchain. Blockchain with evident problems. Serious exchange can not afford to have listed coin with problematic blockchain algo. I hope that ETN team will not ruin this big opportunity because of some possible ASIC undertable deal. |

Next fork will not solve the ETN algo problems. With this approach they show only their incompetence and disprespect to coin owners and ICO investors.
When they did last fork the errors in their blockchain blocked all transaction for almost two weeks. They spent a small fortune on NiceHash to find the block.
After they "roll up" the chain they constantly had a problems with diff calculations. Why another coins do not complain about lack of miners? Because they have a good algo.
In last ETN announcement about miners and planing a fork, they wrote some rubbish. They try to blame GPU miners for speed and errors in their Algo! Hello, ETN team made a rules, made an "offer" and miners only can play by their rules, deciding to mine ETN or some another altcoin.
If they want to fix the thing and avoid "waves of miners" (total nonsense), they have an easy solution with full control. Adopting or developing some subversion of Cryptonight algo, like Alloy, Stellite, Heavy, Argo, Light... This will gave them loyal and stable miners with steady hashrate and fair mining award.
They decide to step back to ASICs. Why? With all centralization and another problems with it. So, probably the community rumors about some possible undertable deal with ASIC producers become more and more visible. Also after that rumors We can see the price decline, despite of lot of good news (Coinbene, beta payment testing).
During the next fork We will get long term harm for ETN. In the first week, because of errors in algo, ASICs will solve the blocks in less than a second. So, We will have a huge inflation of new coins mined in short time. You can understand what a huge amount of coins can do to coin price.
The ICO investors and coin owners were cheated a few times (since beginning, 2 month of locking wallets...) and now with so much unnecessary forks. The simply need to repair and retune their algo.
ETN plan to be coin for mass payments. Let's imagine that 20000 POS exist on ETN. How they will work while blockchain is blocked around 10 days?
everything is very accurately marked! I totally agree with you! Thank You! This things are reality,...unfortunately. ETN was one of the most successful ICO in the history. Good project with strong presentation, respectable team and big hype. Future was bright. But...the lack of technical specialists, bad decisions, bad consultants... possible deals under the table (ASIC producers)...it will result with the longterm harm for a coin. How to believe in coin which want to be instant payment processor, if it has big algo issues, blocked blockchain?I hope that they maybe decide to ask for a second opinion of independent blockchain specialists, and realize that possible ASIC producer cash deal, is not worth the future of the coin. |
