101  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 06, 2014, 02:03:07 PM
Another day in the mid 400s range. I'm telling you we will be in 400-500 land for quite a while. Accept it.

for a long time sellers have been in control of this market.

because, bad news weekly.

price wants to gravitate higher, because increased adoption despite bad news, but so long as sellers are ready and willing to sell at these prices, price will stay here.
i don't think we'll see a high volume bottom, because no one is in a rush to sell, bitcoin is doing just fine even if the news is negative.

i see a slow and steady stream of coins changing hands , which will lead to an inevitable rise in price once sellers are done.

i see the rise in price as inevitable because the increased adoption / recognition of bitcoin on a global stage has already happened, once we are done milking the cheap coin offered by weak hands and profit takers, the market will have no choice but to obey supply and demand to its inevitable conclusion; 18,000$ / BTC  Cool

1) Once sellers are done? You do realize that at this moment bitcoin is still inflationary right?
2) Increased adoption? China has just stated that it does not want anything to do with bitcoin, as well as Russia, so global must mean the rest of the world, excluding the two largest countries on earth?

Funny how I was reading about prospect theory for my msc thesis and I immediately had to think of the bitcoin fanatics.

Apparently we've all been getting it wrong.

Anyone care to comment?

some exchanges are closing due to the fact that they are not using BUSINESS bank accounts, instead they were using personal accounts.

chinese central banks are not commercial banks. they are personal banks. and if a exchange cant handle or be bothered to get a business account, which requires registering a business name with the government, getting tax registration numbers and showing the bank a business plan.. then do you really want to be trading with it, as that is normally a big neon sign that they dont want to be official. and that glows as "risky".

take intersango.. not chinese, but shutdown due to using an account not aimed for business purposes (you truely think amir taaki went through all the proper red tape??? come on!! think about it)

the problem with banks is not actually bitcoin, its lack of transparancy. this is why bobby Lee's chinese exchange is still running, and all the other basement dwelling exchange operators had to close shop.

so the basic point is, if you want to do business with bitcoin, do not use personal accounts.

it is even written by the chinese government themselves in their guidelines that bitcoin exchanges need to get government registered and to do it right. the same goes for any country. china is a no big news event. its the same story as intersango and the other exchanges across the world, in the past.
Didnt BTC China get one of their accounts closed?

Wondering how many attempts will be needed to break out above 2700, if it will happen. Huh

Fortress is like a typical bagholding tard, who bought at the top, has lost half of it's investments and now is trying to act like everything is super. I bet that there won't be long till they will start holding hands with Barry Silbert
I agree, but it would not be smart to discern the fact that other funds might want to enter into bitcoin.

I really don't get it what does the community have to gain if Bitcoin drops another 50% ?

You will probably get more coins at the expense of new members in the community. Unfortunetly Bitcoin is about greed for most of the trolls here which fail to see that Bitcoin actually has improvements over the current financial system and is not just monopoly money.

And as many wise members said before, never trust nobody on the forum, not Tera, fonzie, MatTheCat or other vocal trolls. Its a fact that they are not posting in your interest and most of them have a personal agenda.

Trust only your judgement.

+1

Well said!  Smiley
It is not 'well said'. He is making open accusations against specific forum members as being dishonest.

When someone is out of arguments, a well documented next step is to make accusations against a person.

And you post this as a way to satisfy your craving need to save humanity? (or could it be because you see the value of your BTC falling).

The supply of BTC is extremely limited, and there are over 7.046 billion people in the world.
The Bitcoin ATM Boom can spark a HUGE Rally!
How soon? How high? (no one knows)

Will the Bitcoin ATM Boom be a primary cause of (or excuse for) the next Bull phase?

Sometimes I really wonder what the fuck is wrong with people like you?

Looks like all shorts on Huobi will have to be closed, sooner or later.

May the back stabbing begin!

Why would only the shorts have to be closed?

In the statement, Leverage trading will cease. shorts will be closed on the 10th if not before.

"Close currency financing financial services implementing rules 1,5 month beginning at 0:00 on the 10th , the fire will stop currency net new financing financing currency after currency to pay off all of the facility or stopping leveraged finance transactions."

And there is no such thing as a leveraged long?

No it's a real thing they do exist.

Do you have any idea of the meaning of the word "leveraged"?

Huobi's order book is insane.  Must be kids playing traders while their parents are away.  Or the traders are all drunk.
Yep never seen it quite like this. Any ideas on the cause?
Here is one: they are traders (possibly unexperienced) who bought at much higher price, say 4000¥.  They have been waiting patiently for the price to go up again to those levels.  But now that the the future of Chinese exchanges is uncertain they got desperate and are clumsily trying to push the price up with those fake bid walls.  But they cannot just leave the bids there, since they definitely do not want to buy.  So they must remove them whenever they have to leave the computer for any reason.

Why would they not be able to send them to their wallet and sell some other time when price is better then?

Sell them where? And that is IF the price will be better.  Grin
120  Economy / Speculation / Re: RIGHT TIME TO SELL??? on: May 04, 2014, 02:12:36 PM
Sell now and buy back later at around 250$
