Etc holding steady. Ethf dumping still
ETH needs much money for do pumping back, they must have unlimited money for be mantain bad fundamental of coins. Unfortunately there are no people in the who has unlimited money. They must be looking for other investors. If they don't get it, ETH will going under ground, i am ready for it.  Grin

Not just for pumping up - ETH needs about a quarter million dollar of fresh money coming in DAILY just to maintain its current capitalization (due to huge coin emission). Hard to see it happening in current market conditions. And if in addition to that some of the presale holders start panicking and trying to cash out, the things will turn really ugly for ETH price.

At the same time, ETC is moving fast to finalize its new monetary policy limiting coin emission:

It's a weird suggestion - not to talk ETC in the thread specifically devoted to ETC. Wink
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ETC] Ethereum Classic Speculation on: December 03, 2016, 08:30:42 PM

for now that is true. but this will change. BTC price will go down. And after the ZEC-slow-start has ended ZEC will go down and a lot of other coins will go up again.

ZEC price crash-landed, ZEC trading volumes on Polo fall below ETC.

Is there a new geth version for mist 0.8.1 ? sync from #246200 got insanely slow, like a few blocks/min.

You need to replace geth executable with http://github.com/ethereumproject/go-ethereum/releases/tag/v3.0.1

Also, if you have problem syncing there is a blockdata bootstrap torrent: https://mega.nz/#!UVM2FDAR!c0cF6qKy4IAsu7VRXiAAgHGzSMOSVufB7WHNojsM7yw

Installing cpp I get this error when I run
cmake..

Code:
(missing: MHD_LIBRARY MHD_INCLUDE_DIR)

What should I do?

CPP client is not currently supported (it's  not up to date of ETH branch as well). Fully supported nodes are:

Geth - http://github.com/ethereumproject/go-ethereum/releases/tag/v3.0.1

Parity - http://github.com/ethcore/parity/releases

Looks like there's 1.8 million BTC in dust in the mempool.

Totally not one guy:

Just Roger Ver re-sending his bulk spamstorm all over again. He does this from time to time, in a stubborn attempt to shore up lost bigblocker cause.

What is nearest event? Anything in pipeline on community or development level?

Another fork is planned for mid-January that will bring replay attack protection, diff bomb removal and an emission cap.

where is the pump ? Huh

Why would there be any? It's not a P&D shitcoin. Only those who understand Ethereum Classic value proposition as a community-backed smart contract platform without a single centralized point of failure should invest in it. Not the moonkids looking for a quick P&D. There is already like a million P&D altcoins specifically for that.

That being said, it doesn't mean there won't be a spectacular ETC price appreciation once people realize its has real value that ETH lost through stupid actions of Ethereum Foundation. But this appreciation doesn't depend on efforts of altcoin pumpers even a bit.

Funny how uninformed journalist spouts nonsense about DAO bailout being "a technical change" and essentially repeats a silly "ETC HF? LOL!" comedy routine that nobody but ETC trollsters find funny even a bit...

The second after the ETC Criminal Coin forks bang goes all these self righteous trolltards claims of immutability.

Only in the mind of ETH bagholder half-wits who don't understand what "immutability" even means.

Ethereum hard fork did NOT help: attacks just keep coming.

Oh, ETC mods finally took some action against haters and trolls that overrun EthereumClassic sub? Good for them!
