Dear Wall Observers,
Now that the most convenient btccharts.com is gone, what do you guys use for multi-exchange wall watching? I've never found anything that even remotely matches it. Any suggestions?
https://hypron.net/bitcoinwisdom/Nice one, thanks! Even though technically it doesn't display walls - only charts and a chunk of orderbook in numerics. Btccharts offered flexible layouts where you could set up your display with multiple markets (walls, charts) to watch all on one screen... I used to have 4 major USD exchanges on a top row, and 4 CNY ones at the bottom - giving me a complete dashboard view of the BTC markets on one screen... Oh, well...

I think he will be back. It would seem that he might have made a bad call or two and traded his stash based on that during this months craziness. That can really get to you. Hopefully when we see some BTC price antics happening in the near future he won't be able to resist posting when he sees some interesting patterns while doing TA.
It was always very enjoyable reading his analysis.
I think he made a very clear and specific (long-term) call, but it's validity can be only seen in retrospect (a few years from now). Until such time comes, there is not much that could be said, and no reason to repeat the same thing over and over again. He who has ears, let him hear. Sapienti sat.

Amount of shorts is crazy low.
Not really. It's around the same level as it was following a massive short squeeze during the $500 spike. So, after the spike bearish traders reopened some of their shorts hoping for a drop sub-300. As this didn't materialize, they closed the positions at the first sign of market strength. Leaving only 8K strategic short positions of deep-pocketed mega-bears.

BTW, I'm surprised there is no active market in Cas silver tens around here. In my opinion, this is definitely THE most beautiful and valuable collectible Casascius item (if a gold thousand is not your thing, that is)

Who sold it to you and what was the price and who handled escrow?
The seller wishes to keep all the details private. Fine with me.

Got the coin I needed, thanks everyone!

I have one. PM me your best offer
Ah, I remember you selling this coin a while back... Still no takers? Must be the high minimum you've set.

I only need one. Unredeemed, with holo intact. Either gold-plated B or all-silver, doesn't matter. PM your offers with price and photo or post it here. High-rep sellers only, scammers need not bother.

You failed to draw appropriate pentagram and chant a proper invocation.

Ahh, I see now. I was able to translate the article. So sort of like the ETF we're waiting for in the US. I was thinking it was like an ATM or something. My localbitcoin business is safe. You can currently trade this ETN in the US, through multiple brokers such as for example Interactive Brokers. The ticker is COINXBT.

shorting requires margin account and uses margin. You will be charged money (margin interest) for shorts, so it does imply leverage as in NOT CASH, similar to margin lending (long). The "funny" thing about shorting is that you can easily lose MORE than you invested in comparison with long (non-leveraged) position as you can only lose whatever you invested and nothing more.
Similar, but not equivalent. You could argue that buying the instrument outright is a "leveraged trade" with leverage 1:1. Same goes for a non-leveraged naked short sale (with a leverage 1:1). Theoretically, you could lose infinite amount amount of money on a non-leveraged naked short, you are right. In practice, margin calls will probably kick in long before that.

200:1?? Where did you see this?
As per specification ( http://xbtprovider.com/lang_en), multiplicator 0.005 means 200 ETN shares per one BTC. There is a fair value calculator down the page.
