101  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: September 08, 2014, 05:09:27 PM
Thank you all! Dooglus and I have been talking about this already. We will get back to you guys Wink

EDIT: Please don't remove your signature (marcotheminer, you should be fine). It's our only way to see if someone sticked with the campaign rules. No signature is most likely no payment.
Thanks for the update!

Does Auto-Tune not work with the Gridseed Blade?  I haven't seen the clock speed change at all in the last 24 hours or so.
No, only the rounds.  The blade chips are in groups of 5 instead of single chips, from what I have heard.

In an unrelated matter to ^^^ I have been using Minera for a while now and everything was fine until recently.  Recently my raspberry pi's will freeze up and I have to manually unplug and replug the power to them on a daily basis.  They are running a variety of versions. Not sure what is causing this.  I tried putting a auto restart on them yesterday, but never came back up once the system reboot was initiated.  The odd thing is, I can access the placeholder page of the Lighttpd server package, but not the Minera dashboard or any SSH access.

Any thoughts or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Holy Shit!! I won a miner!!! I'll post shipping pics and proof when it gets here!  Grin Grin  Made my day!!!

ThePhwner can you confirm the e-mail?

EDIT: https://twitter.com/CSCrypto/status/508375938636058624

Congrats! Did you email us your shipping info?
I did but then spoke with s0br over IRC and picked my miner up from him locally.  Set it up today! Thanks for your hard work S0br!!!
Pictures to come.....
Pictures!

For some reason, MinerA hates it when you select the http://www.miningrigrentals.com?ref=126 pools.

Dude, don't use a referral link unless you are clear about it. That's not cool. Just paste the link instead of "hiding" it this way. People can decide whether they want to give you the referral fee.

Firstly, there is no referral fee.
Secondly, I see nothing wrong with my post.  It's a factual bug report for a couple of sites that do glitchy things when Minera is pointed to them.
There is a referral program that they offer, so Flep is correct; and I believe it is actually against the forums unwritten rules.

But regardless, there is a solution to the MRR pools not showing up correctly. You have to view the full text log after a restart serach for "com:5" and replace the standard "3333" with the "5XXXX" number.

hopefully you add multiuser / guest login to show stats without settings and stuff to mess around with

greez

I think I'll add this in the next release along with some bug fixes for Dmaxl hashrates and activity pools.

What should the guest account allowed to do? I mean, ok no settings page allowed, but what about the ability to start/stop the miner? Or do you like more a completely read-only account?
Completely Read Only, including per device stats if possible.

Note that this is already possible with Minera, though you need to use the built-in MobileMiner support:

http://web.mobileminerapp.com/devices/public/6bbTFosehEYySS
Thanks, I didn't know you had a web dashboard for that. I'll be looking into this later today.

Just to let ya guys know sobr is aware of it and working on it atm he in the irc atm Smiley
Thanks for keeping us posted on the IRC convos. It is greatly appreciated while I check in briefly from work here and there.

Hi
can someone get me straight here with my learning of this miner
My understanding is :-
If I list nice hash pools as shown on this thread and place an "X" the the password line then connect nice hash will change my miners algo and pool according to nice hashes most profitable code ,,,
is this correct ??
In theory, yes. However there was a Person a few posts back that had the "x" and it wasn't working for them. I would put in the multiplier if possible.

Ok Thanks
              So the multiplier the f=code,,,
I understand that when fx=0 then the algo is not used, does this mean that in order for the algo to be used i must make fx=1 ?
it should be your hash rate for that algo in Mh/s

Ok so f3 should be equal to max hashrate when minning X11 divided by max hashrate when minning scrypt ??
Precisely! Although if you don't mine scrypt, as long as the ratios are the same, in theory, it should work as well.
So what is the difference between adding my miners hash rate and adding the difference between scrypt and a different algo hash rate
or is it a different way to get to the same out come ?
it is the same, just easier to add your actual hash rate as there is no math involved....
So in a rig containing 4 all the same GPU cards would i be right in thinking that it would be best to use the hash rate of just one card,,, that way if 1 or 2  card out of 4  was to go sick or die then the equation would still work Huh
thanks ,,
i started using your modded miner today ,, it works well
It's linear, so it won't matter if you use one or all four. One card will still give you a 5x increase on x11.

so the max hashrate figures i use for these calculations would they be recorded all at the same GPU settings or would i tune the GPU to the different algo's and then record that algo's  max hash rate ?
Mine are generally the same. I can max out NIST but can't max out x13 or x11 though.  You can get better hashrates if you tweak each algo though.
one last thing ,, what is the "d" for in these config files :-       "pass" : "d=0.08;f0=4.2;f2=2.1;f3=15.5;f4=11.5;f5=400;f6
                                                                                    "pass" : "d=1024;f0=4.2;f2=2.1;f3=15.5;f4=11.5;f5=400
I would assume manual difficulty, but can't say for certain as I don't use it.

Yes, but it will need to change based on the hashrate compared to scrypt.
Here is my "Password" (7950's):
Code:
"pass" : "f0=0;f2=0;f3=5.77;f4=4.03;f5=0;f6=0;f7=21.28"
I have Scrypt, Scrypt-N, Keccak, and X15 turned off.

Why are the prices, maint fee included, so high?

M
So they can make a profit...

Think of the structure like this: they are asking you to purchase an S2 for 1.35BTC and then charging you $98 a month to host it.  Run that through any calculator out there and you'll find the difficulty increases need to be lower than 5% for you to even break even.
Great calculation! Thanks!
