105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It was bitcoin 2017. It will be ethereum 2018. on: January 15, 2018, 07:33:06 AM
The year 2017 was the year bitcoin with $1000 and ended with almost $20,000.

Will it be wise and reasonable to say that this year will be ethereum year looking at what is happening now in the exchange floor?

OK, let's guess Ethereum will reach $20K by December 2018. What will happen to Bitcoin then? What do you think, guys?
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do if u had 100 to 200 dollars ? need HELP ! :'c on: January 12, 2018, 03:30:37 PM

Split your money, invest a part into bitcoin, a part in altcoins (my favs are ethereum and iota), and find a couple of ICOs that seem promising to you and put the rest there. Then HODL! Good luck to you and your 100-200 dollars Cheesy
107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Hackable? on: January 12, 2018, 02:54:00 PM
I think if it was hackable we wouldn't have such a huge amount of bitcoins stuck and impossible to retrieve Cry

109  Other / Meta / Re: Activity & new membergroup limits on: January 11, 2018, 03:25:50 PM
What constitutes of a post. Would a simple reply or discussion in the form constitute one? I am asking this as I am relatively new to the crypto world and may not be an expert to write a post.

Would this be a post Wink

Curious new member here.
Anirudh

Yep, my friend, that is a post Smiley Every reply in a thread, a new thread count as posts. But remember that meaningless one-word messages are not appreciated here! Good luck Wink
110  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What I need to know about bitcoin? on: January 11, 2018, 12:42:07 PM
For some time I`m interested in crypto currency and now I try to understand this structure. I`ve aready figured out whith blockchain, but I dont know what is next

Go on with learning about different cryptocurrencies: what they are made for, how they function etc. After that you can try some trading. Good luck! Wink
111  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best amount to risk for a beginner on: January 11, 2018, 12:18:17 PM
It's different for everyone Smiley Ppl say it's better to invest about 10% of your savings into crypto.
I think you can start with $50-100, just to get to know how all of this works and not regret losing it
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can myetherwallet get hacked? on: January 10, 2018, 07:41:56 AM
Developers refuted news about hacking myetherwallet, but i am not fully understand for him.
My recomendation not using myetherwallet for next 3-4 days.
Myetherwallet can't be hacked easiely, but we seen how etherdeltas DNS will hacked and tokens was stolen. The best way connect to the web site trough IP adress

This turned out to be BLUE's panic and rumours backed by nothing, but anyway this scared people (me in particular). I wonder if this will affect Ethereum's price Huh
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coming Ethereum Fork on: January 10, 2018, 07:34:57 AM
I don't think ethereum rise is because of ethereum zero, it must have zero percent affect on Ethereum price. Grin

Agree! I don't think many people have heard about this ethereum zero hardfork; and there are so many hardforks now, no one really cares about them (there are exceptions, but you get what I mean Cool)
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who uses myetherwallet? on: January 09, 2018, 02:04:36 PM
I don't know if newbies are allowed to provides links or pics, so here's the MEW's tweet: "Trust is the most important thing in this community. Any team who spreads fear, creates chaos, and lies to people for their own selfish benefit can kiss my ass."
I think we are safe Smiley
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALTCOINS with no WHITEPAPER getting huge PUMPs???? on: January 09, 2018, 10:38:20 AM
Very simple. Shitcoins that have no whitepaper and almost no development trades on small exchanges with a very small daily trading volume. You can buy this coin from yourself and sell it to yourself. This way you can make any price you want, having not a big amount of money

Do you mean anyone can create a shitcoin and make infinite money out of thin air? Shocked

Not sure if you are being sarcastic but the poster is trying to say that with low volume it is easy to manipulate prices.  Until a coin gets on a couple of exchanges and a market develops, it is hard to gauge the true market value of the coin.

No sarcasm, I'm just a bit confused. There certainly have to be some limits in price manipulation, right? I just can't imagine how this works

You managed to post this topic, though Wink It happens sometimes, I think logging in and other actions also count as "posting" in terms of time. So, every time you face this problem, just wait for 360 seconds, it's not very long Smiley

118  Other / Meta / Re: You are unable to post. How to enable posting. on: January 09, 2018, 09:25:05 AM
Hello.
Such a question. I created an account on the tablet and on the computer. Everything worked well. But yesterday I decided to create another account on the phone and after registration in 10 seconds there was such a message ...
What happened? After all, I created 2 accounts without problems and use them, but on the phone I can not? Strange ban, although did not go to the phone on the forums

Bitcoin Forum > Remove Proxyban

Your IP address has previously been used for evil on this forum, or it is a known proxy/VPN/Tor exit node, so you are required to pay a small fee before you are able to post messages or send PMs. You can still use all of the read-only features without paying.

Your account contains 5.91 units of evil. To atone, you must pay a total of 0.00001665 bitcoins (0.01665 mBTC; 1665 satoshi). Pay to the address 1FPt2NNN1pXCDqqNwni42qLM5vndBuN2DH. Once you have paid the full amount, wait a few seconds and then reload this page. If the fee is so small that your wallet is unable to send it, you can send any larger amount, though you will not be refunded the difference.

Alternatively, any forum staff member and some other notable members can manually whitelist you. Paying the fee is probably easier/quicker, though.

If you don't have any bitcoins, you can get small amounts of free bitcoins using the sites listed here. It is recommended that you give the free bitcoin sites the address listed above. Do not collect money in your own wallet and then send the bitcoins to the forum -- this will likely result in significant network fees.

If you find any bugs in this system, email pbbugs-...@.... For example, send email here if your payment is not registered an hour after sending it. You will be permanently banned if you send email here requesting free whitelisting.

It can be explained if you were using public wi-fi. So it was the router's IP that was proxy banned, not yours. You should probably try to create another account via your phone when at home, this worked for me Cool
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What questions should you ask on an ICO thread? on: January 09, 2018, 08:45:30 AM
These seem important to me:
- What is the project's future after the ICO?
- Is there an MVP?
- Does the project actually need blockchain?
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steem experiences on: January 09, 2018, 08:28:18 AM
I don't post, but I read quite a lot. There are many posts like a pic and "wow, bitcoin is now 15k dollars!" or simply links. But there are several guys that write interesting stuff. I think you can become one of them if you really put your effort in it Wink A single post can earn up to $500, I think.
