it is the safest ethereum wallet for eth based coins and i am using it from long without any issue. If your private key is secured then there is no possibility of hacking of your MEW account.

Myetherwallet is just a platform for you to access your wallet. Basically if you keep your private key safe, the wallet shouldn’t be hacked.

Hi, i have backupped my pvkeys on an usb stick. I wrote it also down on a piece of paper. My computer broke. I put a metal pin through the harddrives. I will not buy a new pc soon. So i wont check in on myetherwallet for some time. I cant click on phishing links. My question is : are my funds safe? Can myetherwallet get hacked? Can my funds dissapear even when i have no computer, hid my keys? Im to stupid to work with a ledger or trezor. Can something happen to it like with the parity/kill?
I think it's possible, but I haven't heard the news of the invasion so far, so I might not have to worry about it.

Everything could be hacked, nothing else safe as longer. You must aware the news of outside and become uptodate. What happened if, myetherwallet has been compromised?

Myetherwallet is the best and safest walletfor ERC 20 tokens and Coins. It cannot be hacked without a private key. Then your account is fully secured.

It's just a platform so yes, It can be.

If anything I think it would be easier to bait you into a MEW clone which would allow you to put your private key in without realizing. Always a good idea to bookmark the website instead of following a search/email link. Then you know it's legit....unless they're DNS hacked.

can not hack MyetherWallet password or (official wallet)
because of the private key
is said to be private
so private is because you only know
but if there is a hack may have stopped. It's hard for us to earn a living just after the others.
they would have changed,
but without a hack for Myetherwallet there is no money.
The thieves would have stopped doing that
because many people are struggling to make money
God will take care of that thief.
It is important that we work with the environment

Seems like there might actually be a DNS attack going up, keep your PK off your PC (maybe in a usb offline) — better safe than sorry anyway

I know people who has different stories about their etherwallet but the same thing about their story is, their etherwallet were hacked. All of the tokens stored in their, all of it were gone. Even their eth that serves as their fee, even that eth is only .001, it was transferred.you can see it in the transaction.
Is your fund safe ? I think all the data inside that are in the internet are not 100% safe.
Can your ether wallet get hacked? YES.

Your funds will not disappear as long as you do not go to phishing sites, you do not give your key to anyone, and your fund will be disappear because you do not Open your MEW

That tweet has nothing to do with any DNS attack, it is about a global security vulnerability affecting modern processors, not just MEW.

Hi,

Since it's a platform it is possible that it can be hacked,  but only in a slightly little chance. And you're asking if your wallet is safe, i'm pretty sure it is, just don't lose your private key and the 2nd key because without it, i don't know how else you can have access on your wallet.

They are called "Private Keys" for a reason - Hold on to them for dear life and do not let anyone get their hands on them and your MEW should be safe.

In the crypto world there will be no secure guarantees, much less there are valuables in it.
In my opinion, do not hold too long a coin or you will regret for having lost.

your tokens are stored in the blockchain so they can only be moved if someone has access to your private key.

My recomendation not using myetherwallet for next 3-4 days.
Myetherwallet can't be hacked easiely, but we seen how etherdeltas DNS will hacked and tokens was stolen. The best way connect to the web site trough IP adress

Yes if you login your wallet into a phising link, because there are many phising link on myetherwallet, so you need to careful before you login your wallet there. Also you need to clean your pc every month, to prevent a virus or malware on your pc. I think myetherwallet will not get hacked if you use it carefully.

This turned out to be BLUE's panic and rumours backed by nothing, but anyway this scared people (me in particular). I wonder if this will affect Ethereum's price Huh
