Just one last peace of advice since you seem to be concerned about your e-ego more than anything else
lol
102  Other / Off-topic / Re: Looking for a 300 BTC Loan on: March 12, 2014, 11:34:33 PM
Guys, seriously, post your addresses!

My wallet is so full, I am afraid I will be the target of hackers, I need to send my funds to somebody where they are safe. If you send me back 50% when I want that's cool!
103  Other / Off-topic / Re: Looking for a 300 BTC Loan on: March 12, 2014, 10:06:41 PM
I am looking to loan 100 BTC, expecting 50 BTC to be paid back in two days.
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When does it become fraud? The ethics of bitcoin mining and zero-confirm TXs on: March 12, 2014, 10:05:35 PM
So for transactions above 25BTC, if my partner accepts 1 confirmation, I should try to rebroadcast the tx with 25.1 BTC miners fee and hope some miner forks the chain.
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction reversability would be a good thing on: March 12, 2014, 03:03:53 AM
I don't see how the bitcoin protocol could possible support your idea. There is no way to make an address have extra properties. You should probably look into mastercoin or counterparty for functionalities like this, or just a 3rd party provider that handles bitcoin payments.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we please stop saying that it is improbable to generate an inuse key? on: March 12, 2014, 12:25:23 AM
It's 50:50. Either you generate an address that's already in use, or you don't.

108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to steal Satoshi's stash? on: March 10, 2014, 10:13:50 PM
if the network hashrate is 30,000,000 Gh/S,
isn't that 30 million billion hashes per second?  would be the
same as enough computing power to try 30 million billion private
keys per second?
YES
At that rate, it would only take the entire network 359,676 years,
not the billions of years said...
NO

30e15 per second
9.5e23 per year

2^256 ~ 1e77

so makes about 1e54 years

109  Economy / Gambling / Re: Mining is getting me nowhere, what about poker? on: March 10, 2014, 08:53:16 PM
Poker sites:

sealswithclubs.eu has the most players / activity.
pocketrocketscasino.eu is good if you like OFC or have DOGE.
betcoinpoker.com is new but doing a good job with their tourneys.
satoshipoker.org had a lot of nice tourneys but traffic declined a bit last few months.

Disclosure: I did add some referral links in these above links. Not to get rich but simply cuz I was going to link to them anyway.

Great overview, thanks

kuroman, Moore's law will not go on much longer the way it has been advancing by smaller hardware. by ~2020 you reach the point where moore's law requires a transistor the size of an atom. (eg http://www.pcworld.com/article/2032913/the-end-of-moores-law-is-on-the-horizon-says-amd.html)

There could a major break through elsewhere, but it would be a coincidence if that happens to match with Moore's. Anything is this area is wild speculation and will probably not get us anywhere.

Sorry, why is it only 128bit security?
Best algorithms need around sqrt(#bit) steps, so you have about half the exponent level in bit security.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Make a real ATM on: March 10, 2014, 07:14:12 PM
Bitcoin ATM is one of the most stupid idea I even came to know. Why are you concerned with something almost useless?

I have met many people buying person to person through localbitcoins. There is a big demand for exchanging cash for coins. The vast majority of people don't know how to install a download or set up an encrypted, backed up wallet. But they know what cash is, and want bitcoin for it. This market is very big.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to steal Satoshi's stash? on: March 10, 2014, 02:37:48 PM
I have made a list of possible private keys of Satoshi. I will email them to anyone, just send me a PM.

Tattooed a a graphic on my leg that when hashed reveals a private key.
