101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is mining even profitable anymore? on: August 10, 2014, 02:49:41 PM
Guys, there is no next "boom". Sell your miners before the market get flooded with GPUs...
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: don't use X11,it can be mined by Scrypt ASIC or fpga on: August 10, 2014, 02:33:39 PM
ltcgear.com is mining X11 (darkcoin) using FPGAs: http://ltcgear.com/product/x11-mod-m2/

That is nice, does it work?
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Problems X11/X13 mining with R9 290 Tri-X OC on: August 10, 2014, 02:31:58 PM
Hi!

I keep trying to mine X11/X13 coins with my R9 290 but the HW errors keep on coming.

Here is my sgminer config (using the modified x13mod sgminer):

"auto-fan" : true,
"intensity" : "16",
"vectors" : "1",
"worksize" : "128",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"thread-concurrency" : "8192",
"api-listen" : true,
"api-port" : "4028",
"api-allow" : "W:127.0.0.1,209.141.39.147",
"gpu-threads" : "2",
"gpu-dyninterval" : "7",
"gpu-platform" : "0",
"gpu-engine" : "1030",
"gpu-memclock" : "1350",
"gpu-powertune" : "20",
"gpu-vddc" : "0.000",
"gpu-fan" : "10-90,0-90",
"temp-hysteresis" : "3",
"temp-cutoff" : "90",
"temp-overheat" : "85",
"temp-target" : "75",
"log" : "5",
"queue" : "1",
"expiry" : "20",
"scan-time" : "30",
"shares" : "0",
"kernel-path" : "/usr/local/bin",
"kernel" : "x13mod"

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

I believe you have too many settings, try removing vectors to see if it helps..
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best GPU mining option? on: August 10, 2014, 02:30:44 PM
The profitability for x11 drop so much, is it just me or for everyone?
105  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S3 PSU question on: July 24, 2014, 11:27:31 AM
Ok I understand. I found some really cheap PSUs ( Tecnoware ) 500W PSU for 25€....what you guys say about that? If they are ok to use, I would use 1 on each miner.

I suggest using a good gold or platinum power supply. You don't want your power supply to killl your s3 miner..
106  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just got my BFL refund in BTC, the rally can now start!!! on: July 24, 2014, 11:25:15 AM
Refund is the best bet, you will have to wait for years for anything from them...
107  Economy / Economics / Re: question: how can i grow my bitcoins on: July 24, 2014, 11:23:57 AM
I want to grow my bitcoins not by dollar value but amount I have, i've gambled a lot then sold my bitcoins at a higher dollar value but that doesn't work after awhile I used btcjam but I'm not really trusting of the people on there is there another trusted site other then btcjam.com

Don't gamble and don't invest your bitcoin is the best way.

109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GAWminers.com fake or what on: July 24, 2014, 10:57:13 AM
Has anyone ordered from these guys? Are they for real?

http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/news/gawminers-ceo-josh-garza-got-bitcoin-scrypt-mining-asic/2014/05/06

I read this article and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them and or if they have delivered to anyone?

Another pre-order option doesn't make me feel that confident.

They are real but I prefer to order directly from manufacturer.

112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best and most accurate x11 pool to mine ? on: July 24, 2014, 10:54:36 AM
Thnaks for the answers..

Can You tell me what you get on average mining x11 per x11 MH/s BTC day..

Thanks..

this week sadly its 0.0003 BTC/1MHs X11/24 hour, on average. each 280x give you 4.2 MHs, so 0.0003*4.2*$600=0.756 USD per day for each 280X card.
you need 100 280x to earn $75.6 USD per day before electricity cost, so getting a job at your local McDonalds is better than GPU mining X11 coins.

GPU mining is dead, don't do it if you didn't already invest in tons of equipments.

only back in december 2013, mining LTC with 280x had good profit.

Thanks for your info, sadly I have invested in 3 GPU Miners back in January 2014, have exactly 55 MH/s ( x11 Hashrate ) using PiMO OS.

Why are Mining pool lying to us, they all state more, usually 0.0004 - 0.001 is what I see everywhere, never seen this on Scrypt..

Very strange..
Anyway those 0.0003 is mostly what I am getting as well on average days, made it above 0.025 the other day..

What do you think is MOST PROFITABLE for a GPU miner with free electricity to mine ?

I personally mine/buy darkcoin and hope it will rise in price in the future. It is the only X11 coin appears to have a future, rest are mostly pump and dump game and you have to watch the price every minute.

Agree, but darkcoin difficulty is increasing and the payout is getting lower..
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help me decide which miner to buy! on: July 24, 2014, 10:53:58 AM
You should decide with bitmaintech.com - they dont do pre-orders they always have instock

But they are out of stock.

115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 750 ti OR GTX 750 on: July 11, 2014, 01:13:30 PM
NOW  ı wanna buy 10 gtx 750ti is it true time

Good luck with that, the profitability for every algo is too low to even ROI..
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [SGMiner]Problem with gpu-threads = 2 when mining on: July 11, 2014, 01:13:00 PM
What is your intensity in your setting?
117  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Free unlimited electricity... where to start? on: June 27, 2014, 08:51:39 AM
Hello!
IMO every newbie to mining should start mining altcoins and study how it works and then mine BTC or any profitable coins but remember, more profit the coin is, more difficult to mine it
Kindly,
        Muhammed Zakhir

When you refer to newbie, are you talking about yourself?  When multicoin pools switch coins they pick the one that has a lower difficulty relative to it's price.  I think you're a little confused  Shocked

Depends on what type of multi pool you are talking about. usually they are mining the most profitable coins.
118  Other / Off-topic / Re: Oops baby... on: June 27, 2014, 08:47:57 AM
So as of yesterday I am expecting.

Congrats! So happy for you. Having your own child is just magical. Life will never be the same, you will have no private time from now on, but it is all worth it.

No more computer games and 8 hours sleep. Smiley
