Hahahaha! No it was done so that early in Obama's first term of office he would not have had an Islamic terrorist strike on his watch. It was STRICTLY sleazy politics on his part and on the part of ALL the Dems who agreed with his utterly insane designation for the terrorist strike.

Bingo. Ding ding ding. Didn't want the label. It would have been like Bush calling 9/11 a collection of mechanical accidents.

104  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 29 U.S. Scientists Praise Iran Nuclear Deal on: August 10, 2015, 11:24:10 AM
I'll take a short detour off topic here to point out that the only thing Republicans have told me (or anyone) since Obama was first elected is that they intended to totally wreck his presidency with the understanding if that messed up the country, that would be ok with them. Then they went and did their best to do it.

If you think Iran isnt going to obtain nuclear weapons through this deal...I have magic beans for sale that you will be interested in. Ill even throw in some cure all elixr! Only three easy payments of 49.99
105  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 29 U.S. Scientists Praise Iran Nuclear Deal on: August 10, 2015, 10:49:47 AM
Twenty-nine of the nation’s top scientists — including Nobel laureates, veteran makers of nuclear arms and former White House science advisers — wrote to President Obama on Saturday to praise the Iran deal, calling it innovative and stringent.

The letter, from some of the world’s most knowledgeable experts in the fields of nuclear weapons and arms control, arrives as Mr. Obama is lobbying Congress, the American public and the nation’s allies to support the agreement.

http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2015/08/08/world/document-iranletteraug2015.html?_r=0

(well worth a quick read) neatly outlines the gist of the agreement and why it is good for us and the world. The signatories are not people unknown to the scientific community. On the contrary, they are mostly physicists with a list of credentials that won't quit, like ...

Quote
The first signature on the letter is from Richard L. Garwin, a physicist who helped design the world’s first hydrogen bomb and has long advised Washington on nuclear weapons and arms control. He is among the last living physicists who helped usher in the nuclear age.

We can listen to people who are well qualified to comment on the agreement, or a raving bunch of political hacks whose only interest is to wreck Obama's presidency, and damn the damage that may result. Seems like an easy choice.

Obama is wrecking his own presidency all by himself. Excuse us for telling you "we told you so". Secondly you don't need to be a scientist to grasp the concept that allowing Iran nuclear weaponry is the exact wrong thing to do, you just need a functioning half a brain.
Lastly, please tell us how many of the 29 are currently or have received federal tax dollars from the Obama administration.
106  Other / Politics & Society / Re: McDonald's shoots down fears it is planning to replace cashiers with kiosks on: August 09, 2015, 06:34:06 PM
Get rid of jobs that the kiosks can handle, but pay the fry cooks and burger flippers a wage that keeps them just above the poverty line.
Fry cooks are going away too. But yea, just because Roomba means we don't need people pushing a broom doesn't mean there aren't jobs. As long as we have problems, there are jobs. Accomplishing more tasks with simple automation that used to require a person means we are still just as productive but now have extra human resources to meet more challenging needs.

107  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Former DIA Chief Says Rise of Islamic State Was “A Willful Decision” on: August 09, 2015, 09:42:01 AM
It really doesnt matter who "made" isis. The fact alone that they exist is reason enough to eradicate it.

Put it this way. If the CIA gave me and my friends money and arms we will not turn around and rape child girls, decapitate people, or otherwise kill and persecute innocents.

So the simple fact that such a vile group such as ISIS is possible to exist in the middle east is grounds enough for military intervention.
108  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS executes 19 girls for refusing to have sex with fighters on: August 08, 2015, 05:57:30 PM

Revealing, your evidence that the US created ISIS is an article that doesn't even mention ISIS. You believe because you SOOOOO desperately want to believe
109  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS executes 19 girls for refusing to have sex with fighters on: August 08, 2015, 05:56:58 PM
At the beginning terrorists of the US armed different Groupings for foment the war in Syria and overthrow the government. Then some of these groups have entered into an Islamic state. Now, terrorists of the US bomb Islamic state but the bombs falling on the heads of civilians.

This is nonsense. The Syrian government and the Syrian people fomented the war all by themselves.
110  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS executes 19 girls for refusing to have sex with fighters on: August 08, 2015, 05:44:14 PM
He's right though. The USA did support the rise of ISIS. read the declassified documents, the USA supported ISIS because they were meant to oppse Bashar al assad. Its all on public record now, the US government supports terrorism.

They dont support your assertion. Yes, we supported the free Syrian Army, Yes we supported relatively moderate groups who opposed both ISIS and Assad. Yes, some of them turned and decided to join ISIS. Because they were already so well established and the most powerful group in the mix. Absurd to label this as supporting the rise of ISIS.
111  Other / Politics & Society / Farrakhan calls for 10,000 volunteers to kill whites on: August 07, 2015, 06:44:38 PM
In the sermon at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Farrakhan said he was looking for "10,000 in the midst of the million ... 10,000 fearless men who say death is sweeter than continued life under tyranny" to retaliate against white Americans because of their alleged oppression of black people.

Farrakhan said the Quran calls for retaliation when "slaves" are oppressed.

"Retaliation is a prescription from God to calm the breath of those whose children have been slain. So if the federal government will not intercede in our affairs, then we must rise up and kill those who kill us. Stalk them and kill them and let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling," Farrakhan said.

I do say so, and if that leads you to ignore me, it's no great loss...

The comment was not meant for you and I deleted it because I saw that it could be taken that way, but your comment is noted and will be taken into account in the future.
113  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump slams Rosie O'Donnell in debate on: August 07, 2015, 06:34:34 PM
I have already made my position on Trump clear, he is not qualified to lead this country, but then again neither is anyone in the Democrat party who are on the ticket...

If you say so.
114  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump slams Rosie O'Donnell in debate on: August 07, 2015, 06:31:31 PM
What I mean is that people should say what they mean and mean what they say, not have to (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)foot around worrying about if someone may be offended because the wrong descriptor was used...

I a way I agree, people should know what sort of person the candidate really is, with Trumpy he proves he is not fit to run this Nation.
115  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump slams Rosie O'Donnell in debate on: August 07, 2015, 06:27:47 PM
Civility and truth? That's pretty funny, a whole liberal movement to ensure their protected pets don't feel offended has nothing to do with either civility or truth, its a weapon to slander their opponents, nothing more...

LOL, you mean exactly like what Trumpy does, yes here are BS artists on both sides, the difference is some of us acknowledge that and some of us are selective in their outrage.
116  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump slams Rosie O'Donnell in debate on: August 07, 2015, 06:13:18 PM
Whether or not he is the GOP nominee, he is ringing bells that cannot be unrung, with his frank statements.

Yes, ludicrous comments are usually remembered for a long time, meaning this is last shot at holding any political office.
117  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump slams Rosie O'Donnell in debate on: August 07, 2015, 06:09:12 PM

Your opinion and still the wrong answer. It goes both ways, you don't own any moral high ground on a damn thing.

Meanwhile Hillary hits on woman inappropriately, goes after rape victims in court as a lawyer, lets her husband cheat on her, etc.

With You I always do.

Back to the topic, let us know when you figure out what it is.
118  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump slams Rosie O'Donnell in debate on: August 07, 2015, 06:04:49 PM
He had a lot of restraint last night when asked if he had the temperament to be President based on what he said about a woman who looks best on her knees. I mean, Bill Clinton really got oral sex from Monica in the oval office, and is Hilarys husband, and you want him voted back in, in a way via Hilary. It was so stupid but he could have had an epic response for that.

Amazing that ay woman, conservative or liberal, could support such an arse as Trumpy, have you read his many comments directed at women, he is Not a fan of women other than as toys to play with and not be heard.
119  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump slams Rosie O'Donnell in debate on: August 07, 2015, 06:03:57 PM
Much less of an embarrassment if you ask me.
Your opinion, and still the Wrong answer.
120  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump slams Rosie O'Donnell in debate on: August 07, 2015, 06:00:49 PM
What we have now is a complete embarrassment. Obama is a race jockey and community agitator, nothing more.

So you want to replace one embarrassment with an even bigger embarrassment? Brilliant Idea.
